Jennifer Aniston needed a second car to carry all of her SmartWater in Atlanta

It always sort of amazes me to see the various ways Jennifer Aniston can work in her shills for the various endorsements she has. She’s spent much of 2015 giving interviews solely on behalf of Living Proof (haircare company), Aveeno and SmartWater, of course. So now that Jennifer Aniston is working in Atlanta – she’s filming Garry Marshall’s Mother’s Day – we got this little piece of information about how Jennifer totally walks the walk. Of course she really uses Living Proof. Of course she really uses Aveeno. And of course she brings a huge supply of SmartWater with her. So much so that she needs a separate car just for her water.

Jennifer Aniston has a driver just for her drinks. The Smartwater brand ambassador, 46, carted so many cases via private jet to Atlanta (where she is filming the 2016 comedy Mother’s Day until Sept. 11) that a Chevrolet Suburban was hired to bring the beverages to her St. Regis Atlanta: Buckhead hotel on Aug. 24.

A source reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly that the actress, who married longtime boyfriend Justin Theroux in a private ceremony on Aug. 5, also has her pals bingeing on the electrolyte-spiked H20. “She’s converted Courteney Cox into a big fan too!”

When it comes to her drink of choice, Aniston pays attention to the details. “Jen is really hands on about every aspect of Smartwater, down to where the ads and billboards are placed,” an insider tells Us. “She prefers to have her ads around upscale locations.”

[From Us Weekly]

That’s a lot of SmartWater. SO MANY plastic bottles. Ugh. Did she think that Atlanta wouldn’t have any SmartWater in stock? I know Aniston isn’t just the face of SmartWater though, she’s also a shareholder in the company. She gets the water for free and the more she hustles for SmartWater, the more she sells and the more money in her pocket. I wonder if she just has some kind of SmartWater storage space at her home? How does that work?

As for Aniston only wanting her billboards to be placed in upscale locations… sure. Because only rich people would think, “Tap water is for peasants.”

She’s so thirsty!!!! Let’s condemn her for it.

Also, I use Aveeno too so I can’t hate her for that.

  2. jugstorecowboy says:

I drive a car and my experience with composting was disastrous, but I think this makes Mother Earth cry!

  3. Could she have at least picked a better tasting water? I tried Smartwater, and it tastes JUST like my tap water……..

    • Ysohawt1 says:

I think she use to advertise Smart Water.

I think all those Bottled waters taste like tap water.

    • FingerBinger says:

I’ve never noticed a difference in taste. It tastes like water. The only water that tastes strange to me is european bottled water. It tastes flat.

    • funcakes says:

Smart poor people know that you can buy cheap water at Family Dollar or Walmart.

    • Jackson says:

I love Fiji water. It’s expensive, I know, but one of my few indulgences. It tastes like ye olde well water from my granpap’s place from BITD. Delicious.

      • chick b says:

Oh how I love Fiji water! However I do think part of its appeal for me is the pretty flower on the bottle. Also, my borough’s water rots everything from the dog bowls to the faucets. I’ve gone through six coffee makers since I moved here and that’s with using a Brita filter.

Topic? I think I’m insanely jealous of how much money Aniston can make from just sitting around getting her hair done. The fact she gets to hang with Olyphant for a month just turns my pea-green envy another shade deeper.

    • lola says:

I tasted it a long time ago, and spit it out. I thought it had a “salty” taste to it. I just remember it being really nasty.

Where I live, it’s always on sale, half price, or two for the price of one.

    • Adrien says:

I love volvic. Tastes better than evian. It’s still pricey, less than two dollars for a liter but it’s cheaper than fiji and evian. Volvic uses “green” bottles too.

  4. Luca76 says:

That kind of wastefulness is so gross! Couldn’t she find a water filtration company to endorse instead?

  5. Crumpet says:

I love Smart Water, I won’t deny it. But there are cheaper alternatives out there now, with other companies jumping on the electrolyte bandwagon. And (of course) I recycle religiously and drive a 100% electric car. I prefer not to think about what electricity generation does to the environment.

    • Bridget says:

It isn’t the expense so much as the massive amount of waste that goes into manufacturing. Folks really would be better off buying a water filter and a re-usable bottle. But we’re all imperfect – I know I certainly am a work in progress when it comes to this kind of stuff too.

Though electrolyte drinks are for the most part crap. Unless you’re taking part in something like a triathlon or distance running event (where your body burns through the stored fuel and need the sugar to replenish) the human body gets the elcrolytes it needs from regular food.

      • lola says:

Why would people be drinking electrolyte drinks just to because they’re thirsty, and want water.
I understand, working out, and needing electrolytes, but Smart Water would never be the drink I chose. Much better tasting ones on the market.

  6. lucy2 says:

That is one of the more ridiculous celebrity stories I’ve heard in a while!

    • lola says:

It’s just something to write about Aniston, what exciting or important things are going on in her life worth mentioning. This is as good as it gets, as far as she is concerned.

  7. Nev says:

That’s business. Isn’t that how most companies advertise and promote? Your picking on her!!!! Business!!!!!!! Is she suppose to be above all that?

    • Loopy says:

Exactly she is a shareholder and consumer of the products. Just as all the other celebrities that shill and promote their endorsements, that is what they get paid to do.

    • Luca76 says:

I dont think mentioning how wasteful and destructive plastic bottles are to the environment is picking on her. It’s galling for anyone that cares about the environment just a little bit how awful plastic is.

    • Ysohawt1 says:

I could have sworn there were Smart Water ads with JennAnniston several years ago. I think she was a spokesperson.

  8. OSTONE says:

The only difference in taste I find is between purified and spring water. However smart water, Fiji, or tap water are the very same thing. No matter how many times they “reverse osmosis” to make it fancy, at the end of the day is good ole H2O

  9. minx says:

    Oh, brother.

  10. Meg says:

I wonder if she knows that in addition to the horrible plastic bottles, it takes 3-4 liters of water to produce each liter of bottled water. I wish she would hop off the bottle water train already!

    • Mop top says:

I really do hate to think how many plastic bottles she uses. I have a water filter pitcher and some glass jars I have reused over and over. Those plastic bottles just make me feel anxious – they can’t be good for anything.

  11. funcakes says:

She’s always trying to stay in the spot light.
Give it a rest and give the public a chance to miss you.
Good lord enjoy time with your new husband and stop with the constant plugging.

PS-The promo for the Leftovers are making me nervous. I’m not getting a good feeling from the previews.

    • Angelica says:

Grrrr, I have legit anxiety over that show! But it’s my numero uno until GOT comes back.

    • lola says:

That’s one of the problems, she and the new husband, don’t want time together. What else does she have, it’s bottled water or talking about hair care products, even though the majority of her hair is a weave. She’s a very boring person.

As for The Leftovers, I can’t see that series lasting past the second season, the previews put me to sleep. HBO usually gives a series two seasons, and if the numbers aren’t good, they cancel.

  12. Neah23 says:

“Jen is really hands on about every aspect of Smartwater, down to where the ads and billboards are placed,” an insider tells Us. “She prefers to have her ads around upscale locations.”

Who wrote this crap Jens PR or US Weekly because this is too funny, I mean really only rich people buy bottled water? 😂😂😂😂😂

If this is from her PR teem then she needs to stop that quote is straight up Goop. 😱 Another thing Is Atlanta not upscale enough that she need to bring in her own Smartwater?

    • Dez says:

Funny ATL is the home of Coke and don’t they bottle smart water? Since smart water is subdivision of coca cola….

    • Judd says:

Neah23, US Lies! It’s all bullsh!t…. Source? Laughable!

      • Tarsha says:

Judd, that quote is clearly from her agent Huvane. That is how he frames his pr of her. It is vintage Huvane.

Instead of advocating flooding our environment with millions of plastic bottles, she could try doing charity instead. Oh, but that is not her thing is it.

  13. Alice says:

Aren’t there supposed to be pics of Timothy Olyphant every time you do a JA in Atlanta post? Come on!

  14. epiphany says:

Too bad she didn’t hire a second car to carry all of her bras.

  15. drool says:

She is one of the most gorgeous woman. I wish I was her friend.

  16. susan says:

she couldnt have the hotel stock it?? or go to the store?? WTF lady

  17. epiphany says:

Oh, I know! She’s taking it back to LA to water her lawn!

  18. Susan says:

Lol, the irony is that SmartWater *IS* just tap water. It’s not spring water but purified water with electrolytes added. So basically just regular old water that they purify away some of the impurities. Same with Dasani which we all know is the garbage heap of bottled water.

  19. Carmen says:

Why does she want her designer water billboards placed in upscale neighborhoods, when her designer perfume only sells in K-Mart?

  20. moot says:

“Hands on for where the ads are placed.”

Um. Yeah, “hands on” as in, she’s actually in the van with the people putting up the billboards, perhaps driving the van, and stopping it near all the most expensive hotels and saying, “Hey guys, let’s put one up here. Here, let me give you a hand with the rope.”

    Right. “Hands on.”

Or, perhaps, more like that it’s in the contract she signed with SmartWater that the billboards not be placed in ghetto spots, only in places where wealthy people who will pay $3 for a bottle of water live and work. But then, that’s not trusting SmartWater’s campaign people to know where their market is? They have to be told by the celebrity endorser? Riiiiiiiiight.

So much BS when it comes to Aniston’s “source quotes.” So much.

  21. iheartgossip says:

She is a very, very thirsty one. Good thing she landed the Smart Water ad; although with her thirst – it simply will not help.

  22. Sandra says:

This woman is so greedy and out of touch.

  23. Annie says:

Was this “story” nothing but an advertisement for Smartwater?!

  24. mkyarwood says:

I’m sorry, but… isn’t there a f****** drought happening right now? I was sure there were toilet flush quotas and lawn watering restrictions, water conservation bulletins and the like. This is not the kind of conspicuous consumption that can be waved away. Weren’t we just reading about Tom Selleck hoarding water for his avocado ranch? Burn the witch, I say. I have seen enough versions of Rachel to never watch another of her movies, anyway.

  25. Michele says:

Most over rated plain Jane since Meg Ryan of the 80s. She’s the Plain Jane of the 90s, she just won’t take a hint and go away…..

  26. Denise says:

Who cares ? Why is this news ?

  27. Harrison says:

Yes. Because all the best neighborhoods have billboards darling.

LOL. There’s a PR oopsie for the gag reel!

  28. Nude says:

Bottled water is horrible, agreed. The way I see it, she has a bunch of business people working for her. When they get a bright idea for marketing/whatever, they give her a list. She spend a few minutes thinking about it and then ticks them off. That’s about the extent of her involvement. Those business people get a cut and everyone’s happy except for the planet. The story does mention Cox, however, so I assume she’s got shares or something too.

  29. Lis says:

Actually, if you live near a place where so-called safe, tap water caused mass sickness and seven deaths – Walkerton, Ontario – you don’t drink tap water because you don’t trust it at all. Bottled water is not just for the rich and privileged.

And p.s. I have been recycling for decades.

    • RainbowBrite says:

It is understandable if there is a disaster like a flood or hurricane or something. But in a modern 1st world country like Canada, something like that should be fixed up pretty quickly, so I can’t imagine it would take longer than a few weeks to 2 months.
