Donald Trump tells People Mag that he thinks he’ll win & Melania isn’t into it

trump people

Yes, Donald Trump and his current family cover this week’s issue of People. I guess People Magazine didn’t want to put the children from his first marriage and his second marriage in the photo? Sure. Family values! Anyway, I’m pleased to see that Trump’s support seems to be waning. Gradually. He actually has to put his back into it these days to get some media coverage and there seems to be a short shelf-life for his bullying shtick. Which is why he agreed to the People Magazine cover. More free media! Here are some highlights from People’s cover story (including some quotes from Poor Melania):

Trump knows he’s going to win: “When you see you’re number one in every poll that makes any criticism go away very quickly. If I’m able to get the nomination, my polling looks very good against Hillary or whoever it may be. I think I’ll win.”

He’s prepared to spend what it takes to get the nomination: “I’m very liquid. I can spend whatever I want,” he says. He’s saving on travel because he owns his own plane, and who needs advertising? “It’s all Trump, all the time on television. So far, I’m way under budget.”

No time for family: “I just don’t have the time that I would love to spend with my children and my wife. I see less of my grandchildren than I might like. But they get how important this is.”

Melania talks about why she’s not on the trail: “My husband is traveling all the time. Barron needs somebody as a parent, so I am with him all the time.”

Melania says she’s not “political” but defends Trump: “He is who he is. Even if you give him advice, he will maybe take it in, but then he will do it the way he wants to do it. You cannot change a person. Let them be. Let them be the way they are.”

How Trump sees his future in the White House: “It’s a little scary for Barron. He thinks he is going to be taken away from friends. But I tell him if this happens, Daddy will help people, and can help children like him, and that makes him happy.”

Melania doesn’t sound into it: “It’s a long road. I take it day by day. My husband has a lot of people cheering for him. We will see.”

[From People]

LOL, what a ringing endorsement from Melania. She’s already bored and over it. Poor Melania. Just close your eyes and think of diamonds! She’s probably grateful that Donald Trump is out of town so much of the time now. As for the money stuff… Trump recently picked a fight with Forbes over what he claims is Forbes’ low-ball estimate of his assets. Forbes also claimed that Trump is nowhere near as “liquid” as he claims to be. Trump always plays fast and loose with money talk, and now that he’s released his ridiculous “tax plan,” people are getting a better look at his priorities.

Also: in the cover story, Trump says that he and Melania don’t have a nanny for their 9-year-old son Barron. When asked about who helps them out, Trump said: “We keep it down to a minimum. If you have too much help, you don’t get to know your children.” But he does have staff for housework and cooking. He also says: “I’ve always prided myself on being a good father. I tell them, ‘No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes!’ Because if you’re going to start you can’t get off!”

I have nothing left to say about his politics, but that last line suggesting that all he needs to do to be a good father is tell his kids not to do drugs is hilarious. So really they don’t need a dad, just a DARE officer!

Also, “I’ll be helping kids like you?” Barron doesn’t need help. That’s kind of the point, Trump. Go away.

    • Lucy2 says:

“Your kid doesn’t need help” was my first thought too.
And I think he forgot to add “don’t kill endangered animals” to his list of rules.

      • joan says:

Thanks — some people below don’t seem to have heard about the Trump son who kills defenseless animals for fun.

People: Google Trump’s son “big game hunter” — they’ve gotten away with it being very low-publicity. Wonder why?

    • Dee says:

You nailed the two points that really bugged me about this interview. Thank you!

    • GiGi says:

I really and truly loathe the man, but his children all appear to be hard working, fairly normal people who seem to respect him. I can think of a million (or more) reasons to hate this man, but his relationship with his children seems to be the one place he really is “winning”.

      • Falula says:

        That’s always baffled me.

      • Santia says:

They must have good nannies. Oops, “support staff.”

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

        Maybe they had good mothers?

GiGi!!! I’ve missed that little profile! Everything ok?

      • holly hobby says:

Yes I don’t agree with his politics at all but his children seem to be well adjusted. You never hear about drunk benders and partying from the oldest three. I think way way back, Donald and Ivanka gave a People interview and they said Ivana and Trump didn’t give them a free ride. They were pretty much told they had to work hard and the folks weren’t going to give them things just because. I believe they also mentioned they weren’t raised by nannies. Ivana did all the work. Yeah there’s a chef and housekeeper but I don’t consider those positions to be a full time nanny. From what I read, Ivana and Trump were hands on parents.

Don’t know how Tiffany is doing (Marla’s daughter).

      • Shaunna says:

As I said in another comment, I have followed Trump since the 90’s. How he raised his kids is the last thing that can be criticized. His kids have turned out fantastic in my opinion.

      • Pandy says:

Lifestyle!!! cough cough …. Inheritance!!!! … cough cough

      • Chrissy says:

I don’t like him much either but his kids are all well behaved in the public. None of of kids have jobs through nepotism like the Clinton’s, Bushes and the Obama kids have.

      • lucy2 says:

“None of of kids have jobs through nepotism”

Er…they all work for their dad’s company.
And both Obama daughters are still teenagers, so they haven’t really built careers on nepotism yet, but I’ll agree with you on Chelsea Clinton and the Bush daughters.

      • Naya says:

Chrissy, hand over whatever you’re drinking, I’m genuinely worried. Trumps kids work for him. In his company. At upper management posistions. Define again what nepotism means?

Also, I cant believe you guys havent figured out whats going on there. They all go into the family business because thats how to win daddys attention and respect. This is what happens when dads withold affection from their young children, they spend the rest of their lives competing against each other for his acknowledgement. In this case, Trump has set the rules of the contest as requiring them to work for him. With other such like men, the rules might be based on athletic achievement or scholarly advancement. I mean what a coincidence that none of his kids had an independent streak or interests outside corporate life. /sarcasm

Can I also say that any coke/alcohol/prescription drug problems would be carefully concealed anyway, so who knows how clean they really are.

      • Mayamae says:

@Chrissy, are you really comparing the Obama girls to the ADULT children of former presidents (and presidential wanna bees)? And of course the adult Trump children are where they are due to nepotism. They’ve all worked for Trump, and still do in some aspect. They’ve also appeared on Celebrity Apprentice as complete and utter sycophants of their father. And do you really think anyone would buy overpriced jewelry or shoes if they were sold by Ivanka Jones?

      • Chrissy says:

        @ Lucy, Mayame, and Naya
President Obama’s older daughter got a job working on movie sets in Hollywood. How is that not nepotism? Did she work hard for it like everyone else? No she didn’t.
But atleast Trumps kids didn’t get Hollywood jobs or top jobs at their dad’s business.

    • SamiHami says:

Say what you want, but his kids seem to have turned out well. He may not be father of the year, but he and their mothers have done something right.

      • FingerBinger says:

Except for the hunting they’ve turned out well.

      • LAK says:

His sons are trophy hunters. Google people!!!

      • The whole system is rotton says:

Plus 1 million – or billion! His kids are all well educated – actual degrees from highly regarded unis, married only once, married before children (no baby daddies BS), no drugs, alcohol, outrageous plastic surgery, grotesque flaunting of wealth, work actual jobs and not merely play-acting. Trump himself has real business experience not a “community organizer” or career politician. When you employee tens of thousands of people, you have a high level of responsibility that no other candidate for president can claim. Ben Carson lead a department at Hopkins – the most monied medical institution in the world ( due in large part to their location 50 miles from Congress and Hopkins docs and researchers make that trip daily to shovel money out of DC’s coffers) – but never once had to think about making payroll. The social experiment we have now in the White House has come to an end. Let’s get someone in there who has real life and business experience (regardless of millions he started with – you don’t turn a few million into a few Billion without being highly experienced and hardworking). No more Bushes, Clintons, or paid for shysters. And certainly no more open borders – I for one am sick and tired of working all day everyday to pay for social services given to illegals and the willfully unemployed. Trump will stop the gravy train.

      • Sammy says:

“The whole system is rotton”… Um…. hmm. Ah…

Trump has filed for Bankruptcy 4 times – something he actually BRAGS about. “Successful businesses file for bankruptcy all the time. “I have used the laws of this country … the [bankruptcy] chapter laws, to do a great job for my company, for myself, for my employees, for my family.” Which is wrong. Not “aww man, that’s just wrong”, which it is, but literally not true. He has filed bankruptcy more times than any other business in the last decade. He racked up debt, filed bankruptcy (FOUR TIMES) to get out of paying those debts, and he laughs about it like its funny. “See how smart I am? I am literally screwing people over using our laws, I’m an awesome business man.”

No, thank you. I don’t want Donald “bankruptcy is a business tactic” Trump running the country.

      • V4Real says:

Well we know who this one is voting for.

Of course his kids are educated and employed. That’s easy to achieve when you’re privileged and rich. Those kids didn’t have to work hard for a damn thing in their life.

You may believe that Trump is a good business man (though others have debunked that by mentioning his several bankruptcy’s) but he doesn’t know a damn thing about politics, foreign policy and all other knowledge required to be President. All he knows how to do is hurl insults. Is he going to tell Putin “you’re fired” if they have difference of opinions. Is he going to call Kim Jong-un short, fat and ugly. Will he just push the button when he throws a tantrum about America at war with foreign terrorist. Trump is not fit to run this country and deep down inside you know it. He’s very ignorant when it comes to politics.

This is a man who cares far more about his financial appearance than he does this country. He’s pissed at Forbes because they listed his worth at 4 billion. He claims he’s worth about 15 billion. He said his name which is his brand is worth about 9 billion. Even the newscaster reporting this laughed at him.

      • Santia says:

Says the person who can’t spell “rotten.” Illegals can’t get social services, Einstein. And if you are so against social services for the poor, I hope you’re also against welfare for the rich, ie, subsidies, tax breaks for outsourcing our jobs (hello Trump!), bankruptcies (hello, again, Trump).

The “social experiment” in the White House is only that to racists like yourself. The President of the United States (whether you like it or not) is a Harvard Law Graduate – top of his class, thankyouverymuch. He didn’t get Law Review and all the academic accolades by them being handed to him. But then again, I don’t expect you to get that, as it does not appear you’re much into “book learning”.

      • V4Real says:

“I hope you’re also against welfare for the rich, ie, subsidies, tax breaks for outsourcing our jobs (hello Trump!), bankruptcies (hello, again, Trump).”

        Yep, it’s called Corporate Welfare.

      • Chrissy says:

        @ V4Real
I get people don’t like Trump but his kids have turned out well despite their privilege. They aren’t flaunting diamond rings, Mercedes Benz, lving the high life, socialzing with celebs the Clintons or the Obama’s do. I don’t see Ivana flaunting expensive clothing like Michelle Obama does.

      • Naya says:

Chrissy, why dont you ever google before you type? His children spend their days hawking high luxury products, from luxury apartments to the most expensive golf courses on the planet. The real high finance work is of course done by proper professionals who know what they are doing, the kids basically sell the brand to financiers and of course consumers. Only the fanciest designer clothes, shoes and watches for this brood.

      • Mary s says:

His grown children do live very privileged lives. The Clintons, Bushes and the young Obama girls are introduced to the average bourgeois celebrity– unrefined, coarse peasants compared to the type of people in the social circles his children move in.

      • Chrissy says:

@ Naya, when has Ivana Trump ever flaunted very expensive clothing or driving a expensive car in the public eye like the Clintons or the Obama have done? When has Trumps son ever bragged about hanging around celebrities and being pals with them like the Obama have done?
@ Mary, lol hanging celebrities like Beyonce, going to fancy private schools and working on movie sets in Hollywood is not what the average child in America does. How are the Obama girls relatable to the public? The Clintons, Bushes and Obama kids are just as privileged at the Trump kids. I would say even more considering they all were the First Family at one point or currently.

    • Ankhel says:

Sure Barron and the other children like him need help. Most of them can’t get into the best schools, universities and jobs on their own merits. Nor do legal troubles disappear by magic, or pesky taxes cut themselves for that matter. No, those poor children need help, and Trump is their man.

    • Shaunna says:

@Falula While there are several issues I have with Trump, how he raised his kids is certainly not on the list. I have followed him since the 90’s. His older 4 have gone to college, stayed away from drugs, smart, and are working and successful. They all have always spoken really highly of their dad.

      • Falula says:

My comment was more about how it sounds as a sound bite – I actually don’t know how hands-on he is.

    • Auspicious says:

He is a business failure. His dad left him 200 million in the 80s. If he left it in the stock market and did nothing, he would be worth 8.4 billion. After all of his businesses, he is actually worth 8.7 billion. Hardly a success story based on what was silver spoon fed to him.

  2. NewWester says:

Doesn’t Trump have to make a full disclosure of all his assets and source of income? I recall hearing about some requirement regarding that before a certain date.
Barron looks so much like Donald!! Melaina is giving off vibes of a certain reality star with the initials “KK”

  3. Tiffany27 says:

People magazine is a POS. The end.

  4. evermore says:

This is the state of the GOP. It’s a circus. lol

How is Donald supposedly going to run America when he couldn’t even keep his Atlantic City N.J. Casino from closing and thousands of jobs lost.

    • curleque says:

That’s not Trump’s fault. Blame NJ politics and lack of foresight.

      • Santia says:

That is absolutely Trump’s fault. It was his business. The buck stops with him.

      • FingerBinger says:

Trump has had more than 1 company declare bankruptcy. I’d say it’s his fault.

      • lucy2 says:

Trump has had FOUR corporate bankruptcies, and they started in the early 90s, long before the fairly recent Atlantic City casino closings.

    • BNA FN says:

He’s such a liar, he will say anything to stay on top. I generally just turn him off when he speaks on tv but I cannot wonder why is he saying he will loose lots of money with his proposed tax plan. If you cut the tax deduction from 40% to 25% how will he loosing money? Should he not gain 15% more income? Also, how is going to make the country more prosperous when he could not manage is businesses and had to file for bankrupty four
      times.

I have not heard anyone mentioned the Trump Universitycollege that the students reported they were ripped off thousands of dollars with nothing to show for money and the school had to be closed down after five years. IMO, Trump is a snake oil salesman and it’s shocking how many people are falling for his nonsense.

      • The whole system is rotton says:

You’re almost right but not quite. If you look at the filings in the lawsuits regarding Trump Univ. you will see that very very few students have joined the suits. In fact, reporters have attempted to track down some of the “students’ who gave affidavits to the plaintiffs’ attys and cannot find them. Hmmmm Furthermore, NJ and AC is an absolute cesspool and yes Trump does bear some responsibility for the casinos failures, BUT filing a Chap 11 is NOT a liquidation – it’s a reorganization and 4 companies out of hundreds is not a statement of his business acumen. How about the politicians running – their “company” is 18 – 19 trillion in DEBT (aka the US of A), now that’s a huge failure!

      • meme says:

So will most politicians. Obama’s approval ratings aren’t exactly through the roof. Putin is laughing at us.

    • evermore says:

IT IS ABSOLUTELY Trumps Fault. One of my brother’s worked in the Casino. Trump is a big blowhard.

How many bankruptcy’s have the Banks saved Trump from over the years?
He is such a big con.
But let the GOP keep on …they will lose. AGAIN.
      GOP is a circus.

      • lucy2 says:

        4 bankruptcies.
I’ve heard a few local businesses who got screwed over by his company, doing work for one of the casinos and never getting paid, while he’s still crowing about how liquid his billions are.
And like BNA said, the “University” scam. He’s a complete and total con artist.

  5. aang says:

His boy is cute and his wife doesn’t sound terrible. She also doesn’t sound that into him. She chose her life so I really can’t pity her but I hope her son is enough for her because being married to Trump must be very lonely.

    • Mia V. says:

Isn’t Melania an immigrant from a poor country? So ironic.

      • littlemissnaughty says:

Slovenia. But that’s okay because she’s hot and she’ll let The Donald $%*§ her, so she did it the right way. She’s allowed. I hate that man.

      • Naya says:

I do believe the reason she is not on the campaign is because he is hiding her. She is so obviously a trophy wife that she would cost him his Bible belt Republicans. And then she is a “foreigner” with a sketchy accent so she would cost him his Xenophobe Republicans. And worst of all, she is Eastern European aka “a Soviet”, which costs him his neo cold war Republicans. I hope you have your escape planned out Melania.

      • evermore says:

Exactly Trump has probably given her the order, stay off the scene as much as possible, until I call you out for a photo-op, just bide our time, let me get the nomination.

      • V4Real says:

        I agree with Naya.

I was saying on another Trump post that if he’s elected President the only thing his first lady would have to say is “Aflac”

She is indeed a trophy wife and if Donald was an average man who made 50 thousand a year Melania wouldn’t have looked twice in his direction.

And yes she’s an immigrant and so was Ivana Trump. I believe in Trump’s mind and some others only Mexicans are considered immigrants. Let’s not forget there are plenty illegal immigrants from other countries such as Europe and Canada. I knew quite a few of them. Yet how it’s played out in politics it’s the illegal Mexicans who get the bad rap and are accused of taking away jobs that most American born citizens wouldn’t want in the first place. I bet rich people such as Trump have all had these illegal Mexicans working for them as cheap labor.

      • ladysussex says:

It’s not really ironic. Trump is against ILLEGAL immigrants. Melania was a LEGAL immigrant who was highly educated when she arrived.

      • evermore says:

If Melania gets in his way of getting votes, she’ll be shoved away. Donald has no problem discarding numerous wives.

      • V4Real says:

“It’s not really ironic. Trump is against ILLEGAL immigrants. Melania was a LEGAL immigrant who was highly educated when she arrived. ”

Trump is against all immigrants legal or non-legal if their skin is Brown. And while she may have been a legal immigrant she was most likely in this country on a working Visa. If not for marrying Trump she would most likely not be living in America unless she found another American to marry.

Just because she attended college, doesn’t mean she’s highly educated. I don’t think she earned her degree in design and architecture because of the opportunity to become a model.

    • Maria A. says:

They did a kind of puff piece on Melania in the Washington Post on Thursday. Someone in it kept insisting on what a quiet home body she was and how unlike other models she was, etc. Whatever…the first I heard of her was only when Trump decided to inflict himself on us in this election.

  6. T.Fanty says:

He really is starting to look like the devil. His face scares me more when he tries to look happy.

And I don’t think I’ve seen Melania smile properly like this, ever. It must be taking a lot of effort to resist the urge to squint.

  7. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Wow. His own wife doesn’t think he will win, and all but says he’s a jerk, but she’s in it for the money, so who cares? I wondered why his latest wife wasn’t ever seen on the campaign trail. Ah, because she’s a mother. The first mother to ever have a husband running for President. So she has to stay home and take care of Barron. I guess Tiffany is all grown up now. Barron and Tiffany.
    *walks away, muttering obscenities…*

    • Esmom says:

I know, right? He should be embarrassed at her response but I’m not sure he’s capable. Although it would be foolish to think he married her for anything but the most superficial reasons.

Looks like his son takes his hairstyling tips from pops, lol.

    • Joaneu says:

I get Melania’s intention of being there for her kid but Barron is 9 for goodness sake. Also, she is not your average mother, so I take her motherly words with a grain of salt. She’s too high maintenance to be 100% hands-on, elbow deep in diaper changes and cleaning up barf. Anyone who had a solid gold nursery isn’t quite living with the same expectations of life as us ordinary folk.
I’m with you on the obscenities ….

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Right, I was just kidding about that – I respect that she needs to take care of her child. It just seems like they’re hiding her or something.

      • ladysussex says:

She said in a previous interview (before these campaigns) that she took her son to school everyday and picked him up. That sounds pretty “hands on” to me.

    • Naya says:

Oh, Donald is definitely hiding Melania. Having said that, its long been reported that she devotes the bulk of her day to doting on that kid. She picks him up and drops him off to school (by way of chauffeur) so I assume NYC traffic eats up half her day. I bet she personally supervises the cleaning of his room and meal preparation. I feel like she uses Barron to fill the void, It’s very Norman Bates. As an aside, that kid is a piece of work, he lotions himself with caviar oils everynight because ….money I guess.

      • Esmom says:

Oh, eek (about her) and yuck (about him).

      • WinnieCoopersMom says:

LOL where have you read this??

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

        Yikes!

      • pinetree13 says:

This was the first I heard his name. Barron? Barron Trump?! THAT IS THE WORST NAME EVER! It’s so pretentious and blow-hard sounding. I hope he has a more normal nick name to go by. Yeesh. Ridiculous name.

      • Naya says:

@winniecoopersmum. The caviar bit is from one of her interviews from 2 years ago when he was 7. Just google his name and caviar and it should come up. Her “devotion” to him is in multiple interviews, again google their names together, you should find at least a few.

  8. DanaG says:

You can tell she doesn’t think he is going to win or she would be out their supporting him. Not many staff? No just maids, cooks, gardeners, driver etc. Barron is just the average kid I think that pretty much says exactly how Trumps mind works. Won’t be surprised if we see them together now.

    • evermore says:

I think he’s hiding her for political reasons, until he can perhaps get the nomination.
Which if the GOP does, they are truly delusional. JMO

      • V4Real says:

I agree. Maybe he’s thinking that people may not want a trophy wife as a first lady. Can you imagine her in the role of Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton or the two Bush first ladies? Can you imagine Melania meeting or having lunch with other powerful women or women in politics. Do you think she can hold a conversation with them about wordily issues? Can you imagine how awkward and out of place she would feel/look. What could she actually add to the conversation.

And no I’m not saying this because she’s a former model turned trophy wife. I’ve heard her talk and she doesn’t seems very bright.

      • lisa says:

melania used to sell stuff on qvc

i’d trust her to speak with VIPs before her husband. She’s gracious and polite and lets other people talk. I cant say any of those things about him.

I love that she is not at all impressed by any of this.

  9. Vesta says:

    ” 🎶 I’m a creep, I’m a weirdo, what the hell I’m doing hereee… 🎶 🎶 “

  10. platypus says:

“Even if you give him advice, he will maybe take it in, but then he will do it the way he wants to do it.” – Ok, that just made this whole thing 100x more terrifying…

    • Ankhel says:

Mhm. She sounds disillusioned and detached. I guess she really is happy Trump’s not home much these days.

  11. Talie says:

Yeah, I saw an interview with her yesterday. She seems like someone who is content with her life of minimal charity, shopping and luxury.

  12. Jenns says:

And I thought People was scraping the bottom of the barrel with the Duggars…

  13. Matador says:

I can’t look at her without thinking, “She’s seen his o-face.” And then I throw up.

  14. surferrosa says:

I would like to hear what this gold-digger of a wife thinks about her husband’s view on immigration- since she is an immigramt herself! I guess her way of getting to stay in the country is ok in Trump’s book. pimp yourself out to a rich American and get knocked up so he marries you. Then you can stay ( but this shouldn’t apply if your Mexican!) He is such a hypocrite!! And you can definitely pick up the vibe that she really isn’t into the guy. He is just her luxury meal ticket and way to a green card

    • Pedro45 says:

But she works pretty hard, considering. How much money would it take for most women to sleep with Trump? More than he has, I would guess. Another hard-working immigrant doing a job American women don’t want to do.

    • Sb says:

Right! Will she be shipped back to Slovenia along w the rest of the immigrants.

      • Santia says:

They addressed that yesterday on some entertainment show. Apparently, because Melania did it “the right way,” her form of immigration is acceptable. And, come on, you guys – Melania is from Europe, it’s only the pesky brown immigrants that must be shipped off.

  15. PHD Gossip says:

Melania won the gold diggers jackpot. Be careful what you wish for.

  16. Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

    More Bernie Sanders please.

  17. kri says:

At this point, I would vote for Adam Levine, my boss who eats Slim Jims whilst walking around talking to our patients, or my right flip flop over this blowhard. Why, god Whyyyyyyyyyy!

  18. Azurea says:

Barron sounds like a name for a very large dog….a St. Bernard or a Great Pyrenees, for instance.

  19. BNA FN says:

Melanie appears to be over him and his brash and boorish ways. I bet she must do the happy dance whenever he is gone for a few days. I hope she is cheating on him like he cheated on his first wife with Marla who then cheated on him with the help, I believe. Btw, two of his three wife’s are not American born, is he going to send them back? They are immigrants too, and we know how much he hates immigrants, or it’s just the Mexicans he hates. People from all over the world come to this country on visitors visas and stay over their time. I never hear him talking about these undocumented immigrants. What a hateful man.

  20. Love the Trumps says:

Can:t wait to call him President Trump. Love the first lady to be too and the first boy. Patriotism for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Megan says:

OMG… is he training his son’s hair to start doing whatever it is that his hair does?

Bad enough to pass along his views and his ego… please, not the hair too. Every time I look at his head I think of a carrot muffin that has been dropped on the floor, if the muffin was racist and the icing was hair. 🙁

    • Spritzer says:

The boy is very handsome and has great hair. Lay off children.

    • L says:

Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr both wear their hair in the same way so yea it’s a family thing.

      He’s a beautiful kid though.

  22. Tough Cookie says:

I really hope Melania and Kate Midds are secret besties. They have so much in common!!! I can just hear the phone conversations..

  23. My two cents says:

I really can’t figure out what his intent is. Part of me says he is doing this in cahoots with Soros to split repub vote and insure Dems win. His popularity is because many Americans are sick and tired of the direction America has been heading and blame it on career politicians with their own agenda. I hope all voters sincerely research their candidates before voting.

  24. L says:

As was pointed out on 60 minutes-the president is not the CEO of america. And Trump thinks and acts like it is, and is treating this election like a business takeover. And that’s not the way this works.

For example, from the 60 minutes interview when he talks about rounding up immigrants (including their kids who are US citizens by birth)
Interviewer: The constitution is going to tell you no.
Trump: (smirks and shrugs) We’ll see
I: Congress is going to tell you no.
T: (smirks and shrugs again) We’ll see
I: The Supreme court is going to tell you no.
T; (raises his hands) Look, I’m telling you, We’ll see.

And THAT is the man that thinks he’s going to win. The man who shrugs off the constitution, congress, and the supreme court with a smug “we’ll see”. The US government can not be run like a corporation. That’s not the way it’s set up.

    • FingerBinger says:

Trump doesn’t know anything about the constitution , law or policy. His plan is to surround himself with intelligent people to tell him what to do. Bush Jr. did the same thing.

    • Brittney B. says:

This is such an intelligent comment, and it really gets to the root of his delusions. He isn’t even a GOOD leader as a CEO, either… he runs companies into the ground. But checks and balances is not a concept he knows, let alone understands. That’s the most idiotic thing about all this hype. He would be completely incompetent in the actual JOB… people just like him as a candidate, because empty words are fine when you don’t actually have the job yet.

  25. Cran says:

This is what I find to be the most intriguing issue. He spouts things that go directly contrary to what is stated in the constitution and when challenged he has no answer beyond we’ll see and his ubiquitous, ill mannered smirk. Exactly as if he is angling to succeed as the CEO of a company rather than running for an elected position with a system of checks and balances set in place so the country is not run by one person.

I have never been a Trump fan. Just dislike his persona but I don’t think he is stupid. Just want to know what his end game is other than tons of free publicity. Also curious as to how much money is moving through his campaign coffers. People must be donating right? What happens to that funding if Trump isn’t nominated? Or elected? Google is my friend. Off to check.

  26. Harryg says:

I can’t stand him or his older sons. GO AWAY. I remember reading how Trump once, after going bankrupt for the fiftieth time, saw a homeless man and his thought was “at the moment that guy is worth more than I am.” Price tag for everything.

    • ickythump says:

Any chance we could find the homeless guy and get him to run for president instead? Trump is insufferable – hes been over here in scotland throwing people off their land so he can build golf courses — some of them on land designated as areas of natural beauty -and to their shame the SNP government at holyrood let him – he doesnt want windfarms cos they spoil the view from his hotels – hes caused enough damage just being “the donald” can u imagine what he’d do if he were POTUS? He’d be like a real life bond villain -honestly people gotta take a long hard look at this bufoon and kick him into touch America , please….

  27. Jenny says:

I’m not American but the prospect of President Trump is truly scary. With Trump’s finger on the atom bomb trigger over there and Putin with his war-happy trigger finger over here I’ll have to move to New Zeeland to get out of the way. Sucks.

    • V4Real says:

I heard New Zealand’s nice this time of year. If you go, I would like to hitch a ride.

  28. Elleno says:

This is what we get, collectively as a society, when we worship reality stars and no longer believe in our broken political system. Trump as a serious contender for President. God help us.

  29. Jonesy says:

I’d rather have Trump in charge and Melania as first lady, than that Joker-faced liar Hillary Clinton, and her lying, cheating, snake of a husband Bill, back in the White House.

  30. Sarah01 says:

The fact that Donald even has a chance speaks volumes for Americans in general. he is so offensive and is treated with kid gloves by the media. The things he spouts are truly awful.

  31. Rainbow says:

All this money and he can’t find a better wiglet? Jesus!

  32. Ennie says:

Poor kid had the prettiest hair a few years back, he was so cute, and now they are making him to wear his dad’s hairstyle.

  33. iheartgossip says:

She can’t say anything cause her face is frozen with botox and fillers.

  34. TessD says:

Okay, so Melania is Eastern European as am I and I know a little bit about the type. From everything I’ve gathered about her and the things she had said it appears it appears Melania a “dumb fox.” She came to the US as a model, got some modeling gigs and no one knew/cared about her until she started going out with Donald. She obviously enjoys being married to a rich guy enough not to care about anything else. She knows how to handle him, which is look good, shower him with compliments and claim you are “too shy” if he suggests you do something you don’t want – like do “Housewives of NY” show. It appears she’s got it better than most trophy wives: she has a son, she has a jewelry business and her husband praises in every interview.
I think she doesn’t believe that Donald will win and neither does she want to – she already has everything without the pressure of an official role. But to appease the beast, so to say, she goes along, says something bland and continues looking good on the covers.

  35. stephanie says:

This pathetic old turd needs to be flushed down the toilet. Pronto. Can’t stomach his gross face. Barf.

  36. louise_1 says:

This man is completely delusional if he thinks he will become the next President. He is a novelty and will wear off very soon. His arrogant attitude will see to that.
