Miley Cyrus has chimed in on the fangirls’ obsessions with Robert Pattinson, and the Twilight fans will probably be taking out a fatwa against Miley any second now. Miley says that the Twi-girls are just obsessed with the character Edward Cullen, not the dirty English actor Robert Pattinson. In her words (in an interview with Teen Vogue, quotes via Showbiz Spy), “I’m not a huge Rob Pattinson fan. Girls aren’t really in love with Rob; they’re in love with Edward.” Miley may have a point. Shocking.
Miley also talked about Justin Gaston, the 20-year-old track-suit-wearing dude she’s dating. She claims their relationship isn’t based on any romantic notions of love at first sight. Miley says that, “The first time she saw Justin, I walked right by him. Love doesn’t come from attraction, but from somewhere deeper. [Justin] is my best friend.” Wow, that’s shocking mature too. Could it be that Miley’s growing up a little bit emotionally and intellectually?
Miley Cyrus isn’t a fan of Robert Pattinson.
The Hannah Montana star, 16, is adamant girls aren’t really interested in the British actor, but are obsessed with his Twilight character Edward Cullen.

However, there is one person Miley does like – Scarlett Johansson. “She is, honestly, the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen,” Cyrus gushed. “I went to He’s Just Not That into You with Justin, and I was covering his eyes.”
Miley – who is currently said to be dating hunky underwear model Justin Gaston – also revealed that she believes in love at first sight.
“I believe in love at first sight,” she says. “It just hasn’t happened to me.”

Even though Miley is giving us a hint at the deep thoughts behind the Disney facade, I won’t keep my hopes up. I still think this Justin guy has a whiff of douchebaggery, and Miley might actually be better off having a crush on Robert Pattinson.
As far as Scarlett Johannson being “the most beautiful girl” Miley’s ever seen… well, Miley gets a new girl crush every other week, so I’m sure there will be a new interview where Miley is all “oh my God, Halle Berry!” Not that Scarlett isn’t pretty – I think she is lovely and unusual-looking. But Miley’s going to get another talking-to from Disney about the evils of one of their most valuable properties giving off lesbian hints.

I actually liked Robert Pattison when he was Cederic Diggory. I’ve never read the Twilight books or seen the movie so I can’t say anything for him in those, but this new heroin chic dirty Robert Pattison isn’t attractive to me.
And Miley is just…a silly, superficial girl like every other sixteen year old.
Miley only got where she has through family connections, at least Robert did it all on his own. I think he’s absolutely gorgeous – and this smacks of him having turned her down or something like that 😉

I don’t like Miley Syrup either, but I’ve asked that same question as her as to why people are so into RP. Nothing against him, mind you, but I don’t get the obsession either. Its as if the Twilight press keeps saying he’s a big deal, so automatically we’re suppose to think so as well on a whole.
He does seem humble though. An endearing quality that escapes Miley.
I also don’t get why people like Miley. Atleast Robert isn’t an annoying twatwaffle being pushed down our throats by Disney.

And I totally agree with her about Rob, too. The entire population on this freaking planet may disagree, but I think she’s come a long way to establish herself as a household name, even if a majority does hate her. She sings, and she dances, and she acts, and she wears a hideous blond wig and what not.
All Rob has to do is run his fingers through that horrific hair and make a mental facial expression.
And that makes no sense.
That being said – cut her some slack. Sure, she makes some piss poor decisions, but I’ve seen worse from the stoners and hos in my neighborhood.
She’s just a punching bag for bitter people that have rods stuck way up their arses and a tendency to make mountains out of molehills. And that makes me feel kind of sorry for her (today, at least.)

There is something about Bob Patterson, there is nothing about Miley, so there.
Well, if you put them on a sack, you’ll see they’re almost the same dumb and superficial thing. But I stick with Patterson. He happens to be prettier (if he took two or three baths a day and brushed his hair, he’d be really striking in my book), more talented and interesting than chipmunk Miley.
