Over the past few years, Kylie Jenner’s drastic transformation chiefly revolved around her inflated lips, which she tried to say was all down to makeup. Kylie eventually copped to temporary lip fillers, although the “role model” damage was already done after teenagers started doing the #KylieJennerLipChallenge and hurting themselves in the process. Like it or not, Kylie is highly influential among teens of the internet (and that’s pretty much all teens). Girls emulate her, and her early preference towards body modification does not bode well.
Well, Kylie may have already changed her mind about her bee-stung mouth. Nylon magazine shelled out for Kylie’s subscription website, in which she makes the unexpected confession during a makeup tutorial that she’s tired of having inflated lips:
In a new makeup lesson with Joyce Bonelli, Kylie Jenner made a shocking declaration about her lips: “You know what’s weird? I’ve been into small lips lately. Like, I want them to look small.” To say the internet’s surprised at her change of heart is a bit of an understatement. Here’s the question — do you think Kylie’s telling the truth? She wavers back and forth between concealing what’s real and what is fake. She lives in a family where truth takes a backseat to story lines. I tend to think she’s looking for a headline, but hey, there could be a vague chance that she regrets her fillers. It’s a good thing they’re only temporary right? Unlike whatever her butt-plumping cream may actually be.

She’s 18, give her a break. How many of the styles you thought were SO COOL at 18 stuck with you forever? Fortunately for most of us, it was just clothes, hair, and make-up, which are easily changed when you’re done with them. I just feel bad for her. She’s been desperately clawing for approval from someone (anyone, it seems) and it’s just sad.
The fact is Kylie is not a typical teenager. Kylie Kardashian is a brand. A brand with managers and PR people. She is considered a trend setter for a particular teenage niche. She has always been packaged this way. She is forced to change it up or she is off brand. Her team should really look at Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez and what their teams are doing. They seem really adept at smoothing their talents transitions.
The adults in her life and her now, too, are choosing thus life where she and her life choices are products. Own up to that.

Exactly! This is the exact reason why we need to stop making women’s body parts and facial features trendy. No one can keep up. The skin on her lips is probably too stretched out now anyways. The injections hurt. Maybe she is now realizing that getting painful needles every few months for the rest of her life is going to suck.
If only she’d promote a “small arse” trend to reverse the skin-covered sofa cushions that are blighting the landscape … I swear, Kim needs another pair of legs back there – Centaur style – before she keels over backwards from the weight.

I think what people forget is unlike Kim; Kylie is just desperately copying. I think Kim is an empty vacuous vessel with little personality of her own so it doesn’t bother her to manipulate her body and copy other celebs but Kylie is just doing this all because she was labeled the ‘unpretty Jenner’ for so long.
She desperately wants approval and lately her lips have been a source of ridicule more than approval. We’re gonna see a lot of back and forth procedures till her features are completely ruined.

Yeah the rainbow collection of wigs for no reason (she’s not a singer, actor, or performer), the ever increasing beauty routine, the fact she does seem to slowly be decreasing the focus on her lips with makeup. There is no ‘Kylie’ she’s copying girls who’s looks she’s envious of rather than having her own personal style and that means as they change and focus on other things she will too.
I also think the ‘peak’ of lots of lips through extreme lining and fillers has passed much like the focus on the Cara DeLevigne brow passed. They’re trends which she’s become a slave too.
I think you’re right. I think Kim, in some way, is pretty happy with everything she’s done and doesn’t mind being what she is. Kylie seems much more desperate, while Kendall seems to be quietly drifting as far away as she deems safe without garnering undue attention. I think Kylie is in for a whole mess of regret later and it may be starting now. Super sad, any way you look at it.
Kendall gets her attention, just more subtly. How many times are there 3 and 4 stories about Kendall (especially on DM) in a day? Recently it was the outfit that showed off her nipple ring. She’s just not as outrageous as Kim or Kylie.
@ what I find really sad is that IMO she was the prettiest of klan before all the procedures. i still find her very good looking, but she needs to stop changing her outside and work on the inside!
I agree. Too bad she wasn’t in school and hanging with her peers to know that. Instead she was with a man closer to Klhoe’s age than her own and doing everything in her power to become what she sees as beauty and that for whatever reason Kim.

@Jan, no I don’t believe there would be stretch marks but just observing that skin that has been stretched does bounce back (gaining weight was the one example where the skin is stretched out and weight loss, it returns to what it was before the gain).
Such a shame that she grew up without parents.
Many grew up without parents and have done just fine and are not as out there as Kylie is. She could do the same but chooses not to do so.
Problem is too, that those who are around her are “yes” people. Enables and hangers on.
I know a few people who are trough adolescence alone, or already have. They have faced people telling them when they have messed up, when they are misbehaving, or taking a bad path. They know, and they may take steps to correct themselves… here with so much money involved, and a sister that is your cheerleader (Khloe), there is no room for improvement.
Can she even go back to small lips? She made her mouth unnaturally large, and as a result, her lip line is a gross mess. I’ve seen pictures of her without makeup on, and the skin all around he lips has filler in it also, I assume because her lips were too small to go to the size she wanted. I’ve read and heard that lips can only be stretched so far.
Her lips without all the lipstick and gloss, have this cloudy bizarre colour,looks horrible,its like you can see what she has injected.
I agree, Daria, and have commented on this previously. I think that peripheral swelling around the mouth is the dead giveaway of lip fillers. It could be as you say – that too much is injected. It’s likely also that, as good as a cosmetic surgeon may be, there’s nothing physical there to stop the filler going beyond the lips. I wonder how her lips would or could go back to their normal size? She’s young, so that might help them bounce back. As for her going back to smaller lips…nah… I think it’s just another little filler story for her app. People – even magazines – click on, and, *snap*, another write-up.
When she says lately she probably means within the last couple of days, perhaps because her fillers are starting to wear off?? Eesh it’s so weird to hear someone who’s just turned 18 talk about stuff like this in such blasé fashion, like having fillers is no bigger a decision than wearing a different shade of lipstick. She seems to have no clue how all of this messing with her face is going to play out long-term. Even more sad is that this is all she has to talk about in her life. Tragic really.

Easily done, juvederm and the like can be dissolved in about 30 seconds. I did it myself (had it done) when I didn’t like my nasal labial fold injections. No big deal and no her lips wouldn’t be stretched out. She is young and bursting with youthful collagen and strong connective tissue.

Hey guys, she’s a teenager! She will go through a million changes as she looks for her own identity. And she has to do this in the spotlight….yikes! At most the rest of us have a few embarrassing photos lying in a box somewhere, but this poor girl’s normal young adulthood trials and tribulations are posted everywhere, at all times, for all to see. A choice hoisted upon her by the Kardashian machine at a very young impressionable time in her life. Lets cut her some slack, the same slack we cut to the other teens in our lives, who everyday make an awkward mockery of themselves as they trudge toward real adulthood.
I agree, I think people are being awfully mean to this young woman. She never had a chance and is clearly trying to be like or compete with Kim. I actually think she’s a gorgeous girl. She just needs to grow up and get some education and try to not to copy her older sisters.
