Here are some photos from last night’s InStyle Awards 2015. Gwyneth Paltrow wore Schiaparelli, another velvet gown. I think velvet must be on-trend for fall-winter this year! Anyway, I kind of hate this gown, even if it is on trend. I’m not anti-velvet actually, I just think this design is ugly. It seems too “old” for Gwyneth, who often tries to dress like “the hot mom,” I think. Gwyneth was honored at the event, which means that Gwyneth won two “awards” in three days’ time for not doing much of anything. Why has Gwyneth been in our faces so much recently? Is it because Chris Martin has a new girlfriend and he kisses her and dances with her in public?
Here’s Kate Hudson in Giles (or Giles Deacon). This is pretty but once again, Kate looks exhausted. I’d like to think that Kate is just tired from all of the younger guys she’s banging.
Kim Kardashian in Valentino. She wore the black version of this caped gown a few months ago to a friend’s wedding and I remember complimenting her on the look. For a pregnant woman – or anyone else – this is an extremely flattering dress. Now we just need her to do something different with her hair.

Goopy’s dress is STUNNING. Kimmode looks ridiculous in her sausage casing dress.
It’s a weird kind of boring look, maybe it’s that awful long broad expanse of freckled mottled flatness and sternum. Is the no cleavage look in?
Her face looks decent, it’s nice she’s learning to appreciate eyebrows and drawing them in. I like the fake lashes on her too. I’ve always thought her eons prettier than Huvane’s other client, Aniston (I know, low bar. Lol).
THAT said, I agree, Stephen Huvane is hard at work for his stable, as usual – due to Chris Martin press.
OMG..just clicked on the Martin link, she’s that actress from Peaky Blinders (Cillian Murphy’s love interest)- love her!
I’m not crazy about the shoulders on Goop’s dress but the rest of it is really nice. I like velvet / velour so I don’t mind seeing more of it on red carpets.
As for KK, eeeeesh. I can’t fault the look (I love cape dresses and actually have Goop’s white Tom Ford Oscars dress as one of my best ever) but it’s just sooooo tight. If she’d gone up a size or two I think it actually would have been really nice on her, minus that choker.

I don’t know… I’m seeing a uterus and the whole female reproductive system when I look at the top of this dress.
Not that there’s anything wrong with a uterus, of course, but the puff sleeves are the ovaries, and I feel like I should draw in a little baby on that bony sternum…you know? It’s kind of weird.
I think the black velvet looks very grand though.
As for capes, I feel like Edna from the Incredibles: “NO MORE CAPES!”

Goop looks like a child that raided her mother’s closet for dress up play time. Kate, though she does look tired, can wear anything. And Kim looks like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and all that’s missing is the hat.

It’s so annoying, Kim would look beautiful if she had 1/10th of the amount of makeup.. her face looks too severe, the fake tan is too tacky.. ugh!

A perfect example of a dress wearing a person. She could always get a job as a lamp shade in the next FSOG movie. But that may be too gauche.
Totally agree. Goop looks like a bad eighties wardrobe fail with eyelashes that seem to be about to take flight. I think she looks heinous and I normally like velvet. And does KK only own ONE outfit in like 50 colours? I am really sick of seeing her in sprayed on spandex with or without cape…boring and unflattering…and I have nothing against dresses that emphasise the bump, this one would look bad pregnant or not.

Kim looks great! She might not want to wear her hair down at this point in the pregnancy. I know I always felt hot in the last few months and always had my hair up. Her belly is so big — I don’t think she’ll make it til her Christmas day due date 🙂
Oh and Gwyneth looks pompous in that dress.
I love that dress on Kim. She’s an 8 month pregnant, very short curvy woman,in a sea of 6ft tall starving Pilate obsessed skinny people, give her a break.
The middle part slicked back hair do, with that emaculately cleaned up electrolysized unnatural hairline has to go though. She looks like she’s wearing Cam newton’s wave cap.

Ballsy move wearing a white, caped dress to an event with Paltrow considering that Gwyneth’s white, caped Tom Ford helped re-kick off capes. And it’s not like she wouldn’t reference that.
Everyone keeps saying that Gwinnie has been looking better than ever lately, but I don’t see it.
Yes, maybe her face is a bit fresher, but to me her smoking, drug-use (in her young years) and extreme dieting has started A LONG TIME AGO to take a toll on her appearance.
Same goes with Kate Hudson.
PS: If she really want to look classy and chic, K.K. should drop the 50 coats of makeup, botox and god knows what else. She looks like a giant, inflatable snowman to whom a bunch of cruel kids has applied makeshift mascara.
I think Goop’s complexion looks awful, not fresh. The dress looks terrible on her, and she looks every bit a 43 year old chain smoker. Kate doesn’t look bad, but does anybody really think she’s banging a Jonas brother? Kate’s desperate to get her film career back on track, and is looking for publicity. Sounds like a match made in PR heaven to me.
You people have no idea how hard it is to dress for a fancy event when you’re 7 months pregnant and you are not blessed with a small baby bump. Have some sympathy for Kim.
For the average person, I’m in total agreement. Kim has more money then she knows what to do with and she enjoys the fame, so she’s fair game for comments.
In the meantime, it’s not like she absolutely HAD TO go.
But…but…she doesn’t exist unless people are looking at her and taking her photo!
Yes I do know how it is not to have a small baby bump at 7 months. My mom thought I was ready to deliver as I was large and was carrying low. Kim does not have to try and look sexy all the time. The dress is too long and I would be afraid of tripping on it and not being able to stop myself from falling. She has plenty of money to dress herself in something that is not two sizes too small and while others have worn form fitting dresses while pregnant, they at least didn’t look like they were going to bust out of the outfit at any moment.
Jennifer Lopez and Angelina seemed to do it in style. Jennifer is in a white gown also and absolutely stunning and Angelina Jolie stunning in a green gown.

Paltrow’s dress is so weird on the top. Looks like it has wings or something. Just not a very good fit or too much material. Is that a beige bra Kim has on because it is showing and looks terrible. Kim will not stop the tight looks so I have just resigned myself to shaking my head at them. Kate’s dress is nice.
I like Gwyneth’s dress but it looks kind of baggy on her small frame. LOVE Kate Hudson’s dress!! Kim looks great. She looks like she feels comfortable in her dress and that’s something we haven’t seen from her in a long time. My only issue is that the hair is kind of severe… But then I guess she wanted something sleek and simple so as not to take away from the dress.

Yep. And that sever hair is doing her no favours. Her skin does look a bit better but how this woman ever gets to be named beautiful and stylish is beyond me. She is neither. And if not for her Iron Man role she would have long ago dropped out of sight. The Marvel money is what keeps her going.

Would you make this comment about a guy who seems tired to you, just because he dates a younger woman? Maybe I am being overly sensitive – and I am absolutely no fate of Kate – but to me the description sounded very snarky. KK looks horrid as usual. I try very hard to never comment on Kardashian posts because I am so tired of having them invade every space, even CB… three daily doses of K Krap is too much, honestly. And yes, I know we are supposed to cut pregnant women some slack but that is very hard to do when she won’t cut herself any. Her face is terrible. Take a look at pics of her from five years ago – she looks nothing like her original (which used to be pretty) self. Why any woman born beautiful would do this to herself is beyond me. The hair, the choker, the two sizes too small white (white??) capelet konkotion that pushes her boobs flat, and you can see the bra straps on the side… ugh. Money will never buy klass or elegance. So sad.
It looks old on her because her scrawny non-underwire bra wearing chest resembles a mummy.
There’s something off about Ms. Paltrow’s dress- it makes her look like a mal-formed discount Barbie.
Unpopular opinion but I think Kim’s pregnancy style is better this time around. She looks great here.

Gwyneth’s dress is beautiful! I think it would’ve looked better if the cut is not that low and the waistline should have been higher but still, she looks great!
I like her dress, too; it’s interesting and odd and luxurious and strangely elegant.
Wish she would get a clue a la Duchess Kate re the too-heavy, aging eye make-up, though.

I’m more interested in what sort of rejuvenating procedure she had on her face. She was looking haggard for a while. Looks like she got some kind of industrial strength sandblasting, I mean microdermabrasion.

That dress just isn’t made to be worn on a child’s chest. It should be worn by someone with some cleavage and some decent padding on the bones of the chest.
I think the gown is awful. It makes her shoulders look like a football player wearing his gear. I don’t know what the big deal is about Gwyneth. Wish she would get her head out of her arse. I am totally over her. She is not an expert on anything and acts like such a prima donna.
