Has Brad Pitt given any major interviews since he married Angelina Jolie last year? I don’t really remember him sitting down with a magazine or doing some in-depth 60 Minutes piece at all. So… I’m prepared to say that Brad probably gave a mega-exclusive to the as-yet-unreleased new issue of V Magazine. Is it a cover story? Apparently, at least according to Entertainment Tonight – you can see some screenshots here. All we really know is that the piece will be released mid-November and that Brad is talking about what it’s like being directed by his lover/wife/mother of his children.
More than a year after saying “I do,” Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still crazy about each other. The Oscar-winning actor opens up to V Magazine about working under the direction of his Oscar-winning wife on the romance drama By the Sea, opening Nov. 13.
“It’s surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife,” he tells V. “She’s decisive, incredibly intuitive, and might I say sexy at her post. I trust her with my life.”
The couple play spouses in the movie with Angelina taking the role of Vanessa, a former dancer in mid-1970s France, who travels the country with her husband Roland, an American writer, played by Brad. In real life, the couple spends a good amount of time at home raising their six children, and Brad gave one more reason for what makes him a hot dad.
“At the end of the day, we get to be parents, greeting our lovely, crazy children and talking about their day, making sure they brush their teeth,” Brad says.
Brad Pitt thinks it’s sexy when Angelina orders him around, basically. He enjoys a woman in charge. He likes to watch her work. I really do wonder what that says about their sex life. Everyone always believes that Angelina is a vamp, a man-eater, a dominant. Is she really like that though? Is Brad happy enough to let Angelina take charge EVERYWHERE?

This is an observation I’ve seen from a lot of commentators, ever since his GOOP dating days. I don’t know if it’s true, but Pitt seems like a guy who NEEDS to be in a relationship and who’s a great partner and very giving. What’s wrong with that? I think they’re a great pair. I’m not a Brangeloonie and I’ve got my doubts about their kids being too much in the public eye, but I think these two are genuine people who are at least doing something good with their fame. The movie does look terrible.

However, reading topics about them is very hard because of their rabid fans. Seriously, she just said she finds them meh. Nothing more. You people make it seem like they’re being haunted, while the truth is they rarely get anything other than adoration on this site.

I like them too, but I have heard more and more people say (write) that they don’t comment on these threads anymore because of those fans you speak of.
part of it is because there IS a lot of hate on other sites (that will not be mentioned) and there is “carryover warfare” from one of the other sites to this one. you can’t even say (and this is OPINION, people!) that you don’t find Pitt attractive or you’re labeled somehow. finding someone attractive is subjective…different strokes for different folks but, apparently, if you don’t find them sexy (apart or together), you’re “12 years old and not ready for Pitt’s sexiness”.
I don’t find Cumberbatch to be attractive/sexy at all but, if I say that, I don’t have 100 rabid fans telling me how WRONG I am and that I must be asexual or a fan of Cumberbatch’s ex or whatever. the vitriol is getting out of hand.

I am an Angelina fan and some of these “fans” amuse me to no end. I actually think they are more her husband’s fans than Angelina’s. Everything is blah blah bitter cat ladies, blah blah jealous haters of

I am so uncomfortable with the way some have idealized this relationship to the point of saying with certainty Angelina and her husband will be “together forever”. I do wonder if they have relationships of their own and how unfulfilled they must be to fantasize about someone else’s life.

I’ll start off by saying that I’M one of those who have commented, a few times, on her hair and her hairstyle. negatively. I’ve said more than a few times that it looks fried and that she looked great when she had a bob cut and should go back to that. Not even ONCE was I ever attacked by any Aniston fan for having a difference of opinion. I was not called “mean” or “hateful”, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I don’t think the situation you’ve put forth has ever happened. at least, not on this site and that’s what we’re discussing.

I loved Angelina long before she became “Brangelina” haha! Love her even more now. She is a class act and I love how she and Brad speak about each other in interviews. 10 some years later and six children, yeah I think they found the real thing 😉

I’m inclined to believe that’s their dynamic as well. I think Angie is a badass but not because of her supposed maneater status. She’s a badass to me because she cares about people, has dedicated her life to trying to make a difference in this effed up world of ours, love’s her children, loves her man, is unapologetic about her past and does her own thing without the constant need for approval.

I’m guessing, like the film, they were going for the retro vibe but If it were up to me I’d make the hair tossing back ground be either monochrome or a soft sepia tone and have the inset with Brad be in colour.
I think they are a more traditional couple than most people would believe. Angie is besotted by her husband, and Brad absolutely adores his wife. You can tell by the way they look at each other, and no, not red carpet poses, but just everyday candids.
Angie seems very girly and giggly around Brad, and he is really loving and protective of her, and their children. They seem to be a very happy, close knit family.
As Brad said at the beginning of their relationship, Angie was NOT what the tabloids portrayed her as, she was nothing like they implied. I would wager, between Angie and America’s so called “oldest living sweetheart”, Angie would be the more conservative, more traditional, and definitely the one that has slept with fewer men. Angie has never been with a married man, never broken up a marriage or relationship. The same cannot be said for “some”.
This is true. I really think Brad is the laid back stoner type (even if he doesn’t smoke anymore) who relies on his partner to provide direction. That’s pretty evident from his past relationships and how he morphed in each one. And as for the bedroom, call me crazy but I bet Angie likes to don a little black latex and have Brad spread eagle with a ball gag in his mouth – 50 Shades style. I ain’t mad at that.

Brad being weak is kind of baseless. But ever since he played a young nazi aryan soldier with a platinum bi-level, and looked better than Paltrow with hers. That’s been their bitter resentful chorus. Also, one last thing. Most bitter B’s are blind to their dynamic because they are nothing like Angelina. A lot of women are as in-authentic, and shallow as his exes. It’s clear to most, and Brad has said it, that Angelina is very sweet, gentle and kind. The last thing she does in their day to day is boss him around – they seem pretty selfless with each other on a ‘gift of the Magi,’ scale. That, in fact, is why he uses the word ‘surprising.’ He’s telling you that outside of the director’s chair, she doesn’t do it.

Calm yourself Caro. Being a laidback man doesn’t make a man weak. He is just a guy who goes with the flow in his relationships, that’s only weakness if you hold an extremely patriarchal view of the world. Any sane woman would rather this personality type over the type on the opposite end of the spectrum.
Yeah, sure, a “laid back stoner type” could take Plan B to the heights it’s achieved. Try again. People who have worked with Brad, the Producer, says he is a powerhouse, that can make one phone call and get anything he needs.
Don’t let the easy going Brad fool you. As Fincher said, “Brad is probably closer to being Tyler Durdin, than most people would be comfortable with”. And Fincher is probably Brad’s closest friend, so he knows the real Brad Pitt.
Laidback in his relationships, I feel that’s pretty clear from my both my posts. Having said that, Angie is a big part of his work ethic this last decade. The behind the camera focus especially feels like Angie’s influence, not that he wasn’t interested in that but that she taught him how not to half -ass the work. Plan B actually illustrates my point instead of rebutting it.

@Lila Have you been in a coma or something? Big boobs and big butt are back in trend. So much so that the unfortunates who can’t grow them naturally are buying them from surgeons. Sophia Loren would be a pin up beauty in any generation but 2015 would ESPECIALLY love her. And I don’t know what movies of hers you watched or if you’re just bashing her as part of some misguided attempt to boost AJ (look, there are some really unbalanced people here who reason that way, so it wouldn’t surprise me) but Sophia was a good actress. Her best work was her Italian stuff, English often hobbled her. Look for those earlier films.

And I had a bet with a friend that the media is going to turn his sentence about Angelina being a boss into her being in charge and Brad being submissive.
He said he likes Angelina directing him in a movie – he never said in their life.
People just seem to want to turn Brad into being submissive and Angelina the witch. It’s done so haters can claim that Brad is whipped and that is the reason he is with her.
It’s clear they are equal in this relationship with equal strength and support for each other. Just because a man supports and loves a strong independent woman, it doesn’t make him submissive. In fact – it takes a strong and confident man to be in love with a strong woman.
PS: the reason Brad almost never spoke about his love for Angelina is because the Jennifer Aniston fans and Media always attacked him for daring to speak about his love and past.

Brad is a force in his own right. A self-made, A-list star who heads up Plan B Entertainment, a highly successful (both critically and commercially) production company, and who’s spearheaded the highly successful Make it Right Foundation, and all the community revitalization that’s taken place in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward following Hurricane Katrina.
He’s no slacker. He is driven, just like Angie. He and Angie ARE EQUALS. That’s why they’re successful in the personal and professional relationship. Because they inspire each other and that inspiration helps to fuel each other, their family and future interests. They understand and support each other unconditionally. They really are perfect for each other.

I changed my nic from Sal to Tarsha early this ear, and I even let people know, AND I had my name as “Tarsha (formerly Sal)” in the title of the post, for awhile – around a month or so, so people knew and could get used to my new nic. When it comes to movies, I tend to wait until I’ve actually seen them. Even when there’s a temptation to trash because I loathe the actress/actor. Take Aniston’s ‘squirrels to the nuts,’ which still hasn’t seen the light of day.
The temptation to say its horrendous is there, especially since the industry is treating it like used toilet paper…but even if aniston is horrible as usual, there might be some redeeming quality.
Best policy when it comes to films: I typically give Oscar winners the benefit of the doubt and don’t let their personal romantic histories/lives affect how I view their films.

I love their dynamic. I think they complement each other. It is very rare to find two people at their level still together and still relevant. They have endured more than most couples in Hollywood. Not many people have so many eyes on every move that they make and every word they say.

I don’t see them divorcing for two reasons: 1. their brand as a couple is too profitable and 2. they’re competitive and would not want to admit defeat to the naysayers. When News of the World said Brandgelina were contacting divorce lawyers, they threatened to sue. They only do this when there is some truth they don’t want the public to know about. Of course, years later News was found guilty of a lot of illegal phone activity.
They didn’t threaten to sue–they did. Because it was on CNN i.e. legitimite networks picked that BS story up. All they had to do to win was prove that they hadn’t gone to the divorce lawyer that NOTW said they went to–the lawyer testified that he had never even met them as clients. Bam, they won.
And yea–NOTW was found guilty of hacking phones. Angelina’s stunt double on MAMS was hacked in 2004, 2005, and 2010/2011…….she sued them a few years ago, and her lawsuit was leaked. Funnily enough, all of the stuff that was about Brad and Angelina came after he separated. Funny. Ironic.

Absolute rubbish. Firstly, Angelina and Brad were not even married then. They have only been married for just 1 year, and they sued NOTW around 4 years ago. So it clearly had nothing to do with divorce lawyers because Angelina and Brad were not even ENGAGED then, let alone married. Secondly, if there was truth, they wouldn’t sue, because litigating against tabloids is almost impossible because they can use sources as proof. It seems to me that the naysayers are using those excuses you have said as a reason to avoid reality. If you can convince yourselves its all a conspiracy and they are not truly together or love each other then it is easier for the naysayers to justify their hatred. Because they are still together and they predicted they wouldn’t make it, they can create their own “oh well, they won’t split because they want to spite us” fantasy delusion. And this post was about Pitt’s comments about his wife directing him in their new move lol. I am a diehard Angelina Jolie fan; have been since I saw her in Gia. One of my favorites in Hollywood.
