Jamie Waylett plays Vincent Crabbe, one of Draco Malfoy’s bully sidekicks in the Harry Potter films. The 19 year-old was recently arrested outside London on drug charges and is now out on bail. It seems the young actor has found an illegal way to supplement his acting income. Cops pulled his Audi over and discovered 8 bags of pot ready for consumption. The house he shares with his mother and sister was later raided, where 10 hydroponics grown marijuana plants described as “mature” and valued at nearly $3,000 USD were seized from his bedroom:
A 19-YEAR-OLD Harry Potter star has reportedly been arrested on drug charges after police raided his family home and discovered a cannabis farm in his bedroom.
The Sun reports Jamie Waylett – who has appeared as Hogwarts school bully Vincent Crabbe in all six Harry Potter films – had his Audi pulled over by police in London’s Westminster after a tip-off.
Officers allegedly found eight bags of cannibis inside the vehicle.
Waylett and a fellow occupant of the car were reportedly held at the scene before police raided the Camden home he shares with his mother and three siblings.
A hydroponic farm containing ten cannabis plants, with an estimated value of £2000 was allegedly found beside the actor’s DJ decks and a PlayStation.
A police source told The Sun: “It was a pretty significant find. We are concerned the drugs in the car were all bagged up and ready to go.
“Work now needs to be done to establish how far down the line we are towards dealing.”

It seems incredibly stupid for this young kid to throw away his acting career by selling drugs for a few thousand on the side, but we’ve seen worse. If Pete Doherty’s storied record in the UK is anything to go by, he won’t face jail time for this. His pot plants were thriving and healthy, showing that he’s an accomplished horticulturist along with a successful drug dealer. He must have learned some tips from Professor Sprout.
Not sure he got it from Herbology class though… Maybe he went through Snake’s potions cabinet or found the plants in Hagrid’s garden (after all, Hagrid has no idea half the time what he wins when he goes gambling with strangers in pubs).
I do wonder if he’ll still be Crabbe in the next movies. They are filming right now so this would ask for a fast change and maybe even reshooting. Oh, the drama!

It’s not like he’s all that great of an actor. He hardly has any lines, and most of it is him just looking like an oaf of inferior intellect, which doesn’t require lines.

omg this is unbelievable!! surely he wanted the publicity but not THIS kind of publicity!
I’ve never been much for any kind of drug, medical or not. I go for organic and herbal when I can, so what about legal highs, do they work?
When the heck are these stupid pot laws going to be changed? It is so much better to grow your own weed than to get the crap they sell in the street.
These laws are as ridiculous as prohibition laws were.
