Here are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence at last night’s New York City premiere of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II. Is this the last big premiere for the film? Maybe. I think they’re done with the European part of the tour, but maybe there are some big Asian premieres left? Anyway, I’m trying to decide what I think of Jennifer’s Schiaparelli gown. I mean, it totally looks like the nightgown of an aging Hollywood siren in the 1940s. Which isn’t a bad thing. I think I would like it more without the dark lip, maybe? The lipstick is so dark, it gives the whole look a “goth” feel when it could just read as lingerie/glam.
Anyway, there are so many J-Law stories, because of course there are. She’s like a one-woman entertainment machine. Jennifer was one of the women selected for this year’s lily-white Best Actress roundtable for The Hollywood Reporter. I’ve read half of the piece so far and it’s pretty interesting. Brie Larson is trying to get in there, Cate Blanchett is pretty chatty, and Helen Mirren seemed at adore J-Law in particular. You can read the Hollywood Reporter piece here. I can’t believe they didn’t think to include one single woman of color. WTF?
During the Hollywood Reporter roundtable, Jennifer told one story that has been making a lot of headlines. She recently wrapped on her sci-fi romance, Passengers, which had her filming her first real love scene with Chris Pratt. Jennifer said she had to get drunk to get through it:
“Everything was done right; nobody did anything wrong. It’s just a bizarre experience…. [I had to get] really, really drunk… but that led to more anxiety when I got home [after] because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know.’ And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that. So I called my mom, and I was like, ‘Will you just tell me it’s okay?’ It was just very vulnerable. … That was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.”
If we’re being technical about this, it wasn’t her first time kissing a married man. Chris Martin was still technically married – although separated and “estranged” at the time – when they started dating. While I appreciate Jennifer’s honesty and vulnerability, I do think it’s a bit of an overreaction?
Last thing: J-Law did a skit with Jimmy Fallon last night. It’s meh.

Agree, Glimmer. When I was separated my ex was free to kiss anybody he wanted. Fine by me. It’s not the same thing.

Agree about the “uncoupled” versus “happily married” difference. I’m actually glad that it gave Lawrence some pause. At least, she is aware enough to think about these things. Also, I think she looks fantastic in almost everything because, OMG, her body is fantastic. Anyway, love the new hair. Also, I’ve been drinking! TeeHEE!
I don’t think it was cool that she announced that she had to get drunk to do a sex scene with Chris Pratt! Really? What woman needs a drink to do that?! Joking aside, by her saying she was nervous, “why do you have feelings or the hots for Pratt?” If you are professional actors it should be just another day at the office, unless there is something more from Jennifer. Can you imagine Anna F reading that crap? Jennifer is sweet/smart like a fox. She knows exactly what she is doing and so do some of us that are smart enough to see it. Anna, keep an eye on that one.
I used to be a fan of her but her constant need for attention is annoying!

I too love the whole look; I think that, with such a dark and sexy dress, a lighter lip colour might have looked not serious enough and sort of mismatched.
All in all, I love this getup.
I also love it! It strikes a great balance between minimalism and lacy embellishment.
THR actually did a separate article about why the round table was all white. I appreciate the self awareness and the callout to the industry in general but I hope they choose to do another, more inclusive, round table for those who did good, but not Oscar hype worthy, work this year.

The difference between 2 married men like Chris Pratt and Chris Pratt ( clearly is not in the name) is that Pratt loves and respects his wife and there’s evidence of that pretty much everywhere. Plus that is called ‘acting’. Chris Martin on the other hand couldn’t stand his wife and even a blind person in a dark closet could see that. Plus Martin was already ‘uncoupled’ when things started between Jlaw and him.
Are they sure this isn’t a Frederick of Hollywood on sale dress? Seriously fug.
And I was eye rolling so hard at her “real ness” and “oh I am so sensitive, all the feelings” crap. She does know she is an actress, right? And she did read the script before signing on, for a romantic lead, yeah? If you are so clueless about it means to act… You are in the wrong business. And if you are that sensitive, perhaps choose different roles?
From what I’ve seen of her wooden acting, I would say she is in the wrong business.
‘Wooden acting’? That’s probably the last accusation that could be thrown at J-Law. She’s as expressive as it gets – her problem is reining herself in as an actor, not being ‘wooden’ which is just nonsense.
I’m so over the see-through fashion. To me it’s not sexy or pretty.

The dress isn’t good, but it would look worse without the dark lip, the dark lip elevates it.
And she most definitely had a nose job. It’s pretty obvious now.

Her nose always looks the same to me, but I’ve noticed that it looks different when she’s smiling.
when do you think it was done, if so? Maybe the ultra platinum hair was done to disguise? (while I recognize may have also been done for a part). She does look different but there are a lot of different factors. The dark lip is just a dark plum/burgundy – it is not like ultra dark like goth black. I like it. Her foundation tho seems a bit intense.
Yeah, the bridge of her nose does look thinner. Puts more emphasis on her eyes. It doesn’t look too drastic, she looks pretty.

I’m loving the hair at the moment and the goth lip really suits her. The dress is overboard into lingerie closet territory though she does look great it seems more like a Kardashian dress.

Yes to the three sizes too small, but the Kardashian’s wear a lot of black and ugly dark floral prints too. When I looked at her in this pic I got a Kylie Jenner vibe too, not so sure that’s a good thing for Jennifer though.
I don’t like the bra, but it’s a good look anyhow. This hair is just perfect on her, hope she doesn’t change so soon. And like people said in another post, she looks preetier everyday.
Hahaha I SAW HER AT THE PREMIERE last night. Walked right past the movie theater where the premiere was being held on my way to Zumba. There were so many people gawking trying to get her picture and while it was cool and all, I was late to Zumba and mostly shoving people out of my way. I’ve also seen Hugh Jackman at a premiere at that same theater.
I tend to find her so vulgar and cheap in anything lately… maybe she should hire a stylist
I loved her last three looks for premiere, her stylists is finally picking it up. I think jennifer might have felt uncomfortable with the sex scenes with pratt because his wife Anna responded to those dumb rumors about Jennifer and pratt having an affair, its clearly bothered Anna and she said it hurt to read those things so its probably added to the awkwardness of filming sex scenes in general.
I understand must be upsetting reading this BS on tabloids but everybody knows they make stuff up and Anna has been around the industry long enough to know better. Yet she decide to talked about and it became a bigger story. There is a reason most celebrities ignore this kind of gossip, it goes away, but Anna didn’t and for sure made it awkward for Jennifer on set. It probably made Jennifer paranoid which sucks because this movie relies heavily on romance and chemistry betweenthe leads.
What’s happening with her? She used to look so fine on the red carpet and her whole style of dressing has changed to vintage trailer park.

I never comment on her. For some reason she is boring to me. Her hair looks blonder which gives her a different look. She looks nicer in classic as opposed to trashic…..
She started to really bore me to after a while. I completely forgot about MJP2 actually and was surprised it was coming out this week.
From the neck up she looks good. Damn good. Really liking this hair length on her and I like that shade of lipstick too. Whomever’s doing her makeup these days is a keeper.

lol it wasn’t about a kiss scene, all of the actresses were talking about awkward sex scenes in that interview. Passengers with pratt have at least two sex scenes so yeah it wasn’t just a kiss.
Regarding women of color, it is a shame that they are not there but the actresses in these roundtables are chosen if they do have awards traction. All of these women are considered to be funnies for awards. So in the same way I can not really blame the Academy not nominating more people of color. They are supposed to regognize the best and this year there is no actresses of color even near consideration for awards. Can not think one. This is te industry’s fault for making films where there are no roles, it is sad. But for men Samuel L. Jackson, Michael B. Jordan, Idris Elba and Will Smith could be invited even if they are not frontrunners at the moment, they are still wery much in consideration. Hopefully all 4 are invited if their films succeed to make up for the women.

@Elle I don’t know but if you check the whole transcript form THR it was obvious she was talking about it as a whole sex scene and not just the kiss. I honestly forgot the kiss scene in AH too, it wasn’t a passionate kiss or memorable while passengers its basically a love story so its much more intimate.
It is probably so different. And I think that is probably the entire explanation here. A kiss is just a kiss, but a sex scene involves a lot of really awkward acting. I know they ALL say it is acting and embarrassing…and I believe them.
But I am disappointed that no one brought up the possibility that it was so awkward and hard for her with married Pratt because she LIKED it. (Oh, is that me just projecting MY feelings?)

She probbaly felt bad because of silly gossip. She doesn’t know Pratt that well as her hunger games co stars and Bradley Copper and even before they started shooting the tabloids tried to say they were cheating, then Anna came and made a fuzz over that silly gossip nobody was even paying attention. I understand she must felt bad for Anna words and when was time to shoot the sex scene she was very conscious about it. At the end of the day its her job and she doesn’t need to feel bad about it. Anna does sex scenes with a lot of guys too.
I kinda feel like if I was an actress I would want to meet the wife before a sex scene to just be like “I am not sketchy, I am not trying to seduce your husband and I am sorry that our jobs require this scene”. I mean, that would be totally awkward too. But ugh. I know that often the spouse is in the industry too and “gets it”. But I would not love to think of my husband going to work in the morning and having his day include hours of time on a set, naked with JLaw. In the end, they still kiss and slide all over each other.
I think jennifer must have met Anna already, I remember before they started filming, jennifer did an interview where she talked about how she is mostly excited to meet Anna because she is a huge fan of hers.

Uh not in a race with Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett, the academy loves those two, they have multiple nominations and their films and performances have been very well received, so I wouldn’t say that “no one else has a chance”.
Dunno about Larson but Saoirse Ronan in Brooklyn is one of the standout performances this year. I can’t comment on the sex scenes with Chris Pratt issue as it just gets me over excited …
I love the top half of that dress. It must be gorgeous in person. The thing that stands out to me most, though, is her makeup. It is ON POINT.
I love the whole look. And I’m kind of wanting to try out that lip colour.. I just wanted to add that I do think it must be so strange to do love scenes. Especially if you actually find the person sexually attractive. Like I realize they are professional actors but they are also human. I think it’s possible they do get Some feels during intense sex scenes and it could freak them out because the job then bleeds into reality..

I think she has had some little things done, possibly a subtle nose job and a couple other small things here and there. Of course the hair and styling changes, makeup probably all contribute.
