I’m splitting up the photos from Rihanna’s second annual Diamond Ball, which went down last night in Santa Monica. This post is for the “not Rihanna” people. Let’s start with Kylie Jenner. My personal feeling is that Rihanna has no time for anyone in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but she probably tolerates Kim Kardashian just for Kanye’s sake. But the other ones? Ha. So it’s really funny to see Kylie trying to cozy up to Rihanna at her big charity gala.
Kylie wore this August Getty Atelier Spring 2016 gown which everyone is calling “bridal.” I mean… I guess a lot of wedding gowns have this cut, but I’m really not seeing bridal when I look at Kylie. I will say this though: she’s not messing with her face as MUCH as she used to be. The lips are still jacked, of course, and I’m sure she did get butt implants or whatever, but it no longer looks like she’s getting procedures done every single week. She still looks like she’s morphing into Kim though.
Tyga was there. Of course.
Here’s Zendaya looking amazing in a striped Rosie Assoulin two-piece. The bottom is actually really wide-leg trousers, not a skirt. I LOVE THIS. I love this on Zendaya specifically, it looks amazing on her.
And here’s Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Jada wore Zuhair Murad Resort 2016. I’m meh on it. While I hope Will Smith has a big Oscar campaign, I’m not looking forward to Jada’s fashion show.

I’m shocked. Tyga actually has his mouth closed. Its crazy that the J girl would show up to Rihannas ball being that she isn’t necessarily a fan of theirs but you know they’ll pay any amount and go anywhere to be seen attending any celebrity filled function.
Her outfit looks sooo comfy too! Comfy and chic are just ideal! Her style is very lovely also.

@ Sabine, Can I seriously ask you something? Do you just blindly defend this family without a second thought (as you do on many threads)? According to Kylie, it’s butt cream that did this – not butt cream either. Weight gain doesn’t just magically go to one part of the body.

Kylie’s dress is very unflattering, I think, in color and shape, except it looks nice from the back. Tyga just isn’t very nice looking, and I would add bless his heart if he hadn’t slept with a child, but since he creeps me out I’ll just leave it at that.

I feel like I’ve had this on my mind since so many YouTubers keep getting ‘just a little fillers, just a little lip injections’ but ladies seriously…there’s a balance to your face.
Every single part of your body or face may not be perfectly lifted and voluptuous but it all works together. Maybe your lips are small BUT your eyes are wide, or maybe you’ve got hooded eyes but high cheekbones.
I say this because I look at old photos of Kylie and I got why she probably felt ugly next to her sisters…but she was so pretty. If she had held onto her looks and grew into them, she’d have been beautiful.
Now all I see on her face is lashes and lips. She no longer seems pretty. Same with Khloe, just body parts. Yeah maybe there are women who ‘have it all’ naturally but something is balancing out on their faces. With plastic surgery and fillers girls don’t end up looking prettier, just…like they’ve met some quota.
So very true and eloquently stated, Side-Eye. Nature imposes an organic symmetry to faces. Mess with that and it throws your whole face off-balance.
Kylie was really pretty and cute before all the surgery. She also looked her age but…no longer.
Yup! I had a moment of frustration because a YouTuber I watch (not naming names) discussed getting lip fillers. I kinda brushed it off but then a different girl also admitted to them so I kinda compared the before and after and it struck me how such a small change threw off the balance of their faces and (imo) stole SOME of their prettiness.
They’re still gorgeous girls and I’ll give them credit they did go subtle, but for something they chose to do to themselves it was amazing how the effect they wanted kinda backfired on them.
I see that with Kylie, yeah maybe she wasn’t meeting the Kardashian family body part quota but she had these nice hooded lids that slanted and became a cat eye and her lips didn’t seem to matter so much. Now she’s got full lips, wide eyes and resembles a real doll.
That’s it! That’s what I have been trying to put into words – why these women look plastic and doll-like and not attractive except in a strictly technical way. Think of Princess Diana – her nose, on its own, was too big and not very pretty. But her whole face was beautiful and unusual and uniquely lovely. Thank you TESE.

I did a little experiment of looking at celeb’s whole faces on Celebitchy (pretty women, of course) and then looking specifically at their noses. It surprised me how so many had ‘imperfect’ noses that maybe if they had fixated on them would have been fixed with plastic surgery but when you looked at their faces you couldn’t notice at all.
It says something to me about the choices some women make by fixing their faces and how it can end up just making them look bland. Kylie and Khloe specifically resemble each other so much now because their faces are just a collection of ‘all of this’ with nothing unique.
This is perfect, miss Side-Eye. Slapping a bunch of store-bought, conventionally attractive features on one’s face does not a pretty woman make.
Since you brought up the YouTubers, I used to love Morgan Joyce– a beauty blogger who was really passionate about tattoos and stopping animal cruelty and things that made her unique. She could be a little preachy about her extreme veganism, but it was just her so I loved her for it. Then she started to poke at her lips, and lip injections are definitely not vegan. Her answer to that was basically “shut the f*ck up and don’t question my special life choices,” and then she started to look like a plastic alien and do nothing but post selfies. Tattooed Kardashian sister. Sad what superficiality can do to some people.
So I had to Google and…I used to watch her! Long before any changes in her personality so I missed the Kardashian swap but it is funny/sad how vanity can consume people.

I completely agree with this too. I have always believed that everyone is beautiful in their own way. I went to high school with a girl who had a long beak like nose and she got made fun of for it a lot – but she also had what is still to this day some of the most beautiful big green eyes I’d ever seen with long, thick lashes. If she changed her nose her eyes wouldn’t be as striking, a la Jennifer Gray. Lindsay Lohan is another example with her lips. Her smaller lips emphasized her large beautiful eyes. Once she started plumping up her lips her eyes weren’t as noticeable.
Sometimes I think I’d like a smaller nose, a more defined chin, plumper lips, but then I remember that I am how am I supposed to be. No shade on anyone who does choose to undergo procedures!
Except sometimes there isn’t balance to your face. Symmetry is what makes faces appear attractive, so if you had balance, yeah, you probably looked just fine pre-surgery. But not everyone has that. If they did, everyone in the world would be considered at least somewhat attractive, and that’s obviously not the case.
Personally, fixing my nose (one nostril was significantly wider and higher than the other), my lips (one side was fuller than the other) and my brows (again, one side was higher than the other), was what gave my face balance.
Something good in this holiday season – at least Kylie is covered up. Otherwise, why is she there?

I haven’t watched an episode of the Kardashians in a long time, so the only way I’ve really kept up with this girl is through her carefully posed and photoshopped pictures. I saw her in motion on a Kardashians commercial recently and was actually shocked at how unappealing her face looks in motion or when she can’t pick her angles/filters. She was a pretty, young looking girl before but with all this plastic she looks like a waxy middle-aged blow up doll at the age of 18. Someone should have stepped in long ago to put a stop to the modifications… but I guess look at the family she comes from. I feel a bit sad for her.

She realized that she didn’t need to inject her actual lips, she could inject behind them to push them out. all the filler is going into the lines around and behind her mouth. She has more injected into her face every time I see a picture of her.
Fake hair, fake lashes, cheek fillers, lip fillers, nose job, veneers, breast implants (now removed), and lipo and fat injections all while 17 or 18.. Cannot stand seeing her on a red carpet posing sticking her butt out beside people who deserve to be celebrated.
