Here are some photos of Taylor Swift leaving her gym in West Hollywood several days ago. Of course she wears red lipstick to the gym. OF COURSE. Tay-Tay spent Christmas in Colorado, holed up with her family and Calvin Harris, apparently. Then she spent New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas while Calvin deejayed a big party. Then she came back to LA, where she has a big home. I don’t feel jealousy towards Taylor about many things, but I would love to have her real estate portfolio. She owns a beautiful penthouse in NYC, a giant mansion in Rhode Island, extensive property in Nashville, and a gorgeous home in LA. Do you see where I’m going with this? Swifty and Calvin spent the holidays together. He’s tight with her family now. And they are very much loved-up and planning for a future together. Which is why this E! story was not surprising:
Well, in case there was any question, things are definitely getting serious between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris. E! News has exclusively learned that the famous Hollywood couple have been shacking up under one roof and talking about possibly taking things to the next level.
“Now that her tour is over, they are living together at his house in Beverly Hills while she is having some work done on her new home (she was staying there in between tour dates too, but now she is back for longer and it will be more consistent),” a source tells E! News. “They are definitely talking about their future together and the possibility of one day getting engaged. Making it work, despite their huge demanding schedules, and her tour, has proved to both of them that this is something that is serious and that could last. It’s really cemented their commitment to one another.”
If you were anything like me, you only came across this completely average gossip-update on Calvin and Tay’s situation AFTER you read the denial to this story, which Taylor’s publicist sent out to all of the major media outlets. Taylor’s rep went on the record to say that Calvin and Swifty “are absolutely not living together.” A “source” also tells People Magazine, “They are happy and in no rush to settle down.”
Just my opinion: Taylor is no stranger to the machinations of the tabloid world. This has a classic PR scheme/flavor to it, and it’s something that a celebrity like Jennifer Aniston pulls all the time. Leak a story to one outlet (Taylor and Calvin are living together and getting engaged soon!), then get your publicist to officially deny one part of the story to another outlet (Calvin and Taylor are not living together officially, no official word on the engagement rumors). That way all variations of the story get wide play. In any case, while I’ll believe that Calvin and Swifty are not living together officially, I wouldn’t doubt that she would stay at his place and maybe she even has some closet space or a drawer there. And I do think that Taylor would love to get a ring. Wait for it…

My friend is obsessed with Taylor Swift and so I hear things about her I do not wish to know, which is probably why I dislike her so much. But apparently, Calvin wasn’t with Swifty for Christmas, just for a day before (according to his snapchat) and while she was with him for NYE, they didn’t kiss and she left Las Vegas before his DJ set was even over. I believe they are PR, and if they aren’t, they are the most boring romance of our generation, right ahead of Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner. There is honestly no one interesting in this group of young celebrities.
I don’t really understand why every time there’s a celeb couple that doesn’t meet all the criteria or something how so many people on this site yell “fake romance!” and “PR relationship!” I just have a hard time believing that 75% of Hollywood relationships are contract based, as some commenters would have it seem.
Because I think for the most part they are. If the celebrities are calling the paps constantly, then I’m just gonna go ahead and say it’s fake. Taylor can be private if she wants to be. But she isn’t. Didn’t she say prior to starting dating this guy that she’s gonna be more private the next time we see her dating? Then why am I seeing photos of them at her house (which is in a gated community) or when they were on a boat in London? How would the paparazzi know that? Why would she need them photographed if they aren’t PR?
Everything in Hollyweird is an illusion, nothing is organic or unplanned. They are all In search of the same thing – money and fame which both equal power. Think about the amount of money these relationships make, not to mention the attention they garner. There have been enough stories out there from old celebrities to insiders that explain all of the dirty deeds behind the scenes.
I still don’t think the majority are “contract” relationships. I think famewh*res probably are usually attracted to each other and enjoy calling the paps and other famewh*rey activities. It just seems like conspiracy thinking that sooo many different couples are together because of documents.
I agree with Loulou. The doubt is EXHAUSTING. Some people need to get a life and get a better outlook on life. Not everything is Fake or Made Up…not everyone in Hollywood is a self absorbed douche …..its just EXHAUSTING. They are like other people…some are good, some are ok and some are bad. And personally….there are way too many good stories about good deeds Taylor does behind the media for me to think of her in any negative light. I’m sure she isn’t perfect but she seems like a decent person and I hope for the best.

Commenters like you are highly suspect. If you’re gonna come here and fight the “BUT IT’S NOT FAKE!” fight, at least cover up your biases to not be so obvious. We get it, you’re a fan that wants to believe that your idol wouldn’t ever fake something to get you to keep paying attention.
You’re almost as bad at the Kardashian fans that spam the comments everytime somebody doubts the veracity of one of their planted stories.
As for the “why would they bother faking it?” argument – that mentality PROVES these setups work. That you would think in the civilian, non-famous mindset, ‘who would bother with that?’ Do you understand the power and money that comes with “shipping” a couple? The added publicity, promotion? Or better…quieting rumors about sexuality? Pushing a negative story out of the headlines? This is an industry, and like any industry, promotion/publicity comes in MANY different forms. It’s important to remember that the celebrity IS seen as a product. But by all means, eat it up. Open your wallet wider.
@alihar999…It’s also tiresome how sometimes people get a little too worked up over celebrity gossip. There are plenty of real issues out there that are worth getting upset over. Letting your blood pressure skyrocket over a bit of Tay Tay tea is what truly seems EXHAUSTING, especially when she has the means to afford a top of the line PR team that enables you to hear all about her myriad “good deeds”. But I bet you would make a great President of the Swifty Fan Club! 😉
I agree there are at least certain things that are real about Taylor. For example, that camel toe she is proudly rocking is pretty damn real.

A Taylor Swift engagement is what I did not know I wanted for Christmas this year. Omg the gossip and everything would be so EXTRA. And then when they would break up and the meltdown and the FEELS. Then Taylor would come up with her own version of Adele’s 21 about the love and the breakup and still hating on Katy Perry.
I’ve always believed this is a showmance. I’m not sure what each of them is getting out of it, but time tends to reveal all things.
It’s simple. Taylor gets another muse to write her songs about and Lurch gets to sit in the front row at awards shows. Before they started “dating” I never heard of him, along with 95% of the GP. Now EVERYONE knows who he is, Mr. Taylor Swift. It’s been an agreement of mutual convenience for these two. Nothing more, nothing less…….

Um, how does that describe Calvin Harris?
She is not 19 or 20 anymore, even though she pretty much acts that way, at least for the public. At 25 or 26, whatever she is, she should have a clue by now. Calvin Harris is very popular btw, our Prince John Kennedy Jr is no longer an option, so she has to settle. So far it seems she’s tasted every piece from the Whitman’s sampler box. She is no more special than anyone else.
but that’s her social circle. It would be really challenging to date someone who couldn’t relate to the schedule, travel, PR, and weirdness of fame. Dating someone who is not in the entertainment industry would entail them taking time off work and fly all over the world to keep a relationship going. I think it would challenging (but not impossible). Taylor is a workhorse. She needs someone whose lifestyle can work with hers. They could be ‘fake’ or convenient romances, but I understand why its kind of common if it is.
Was Calvin Harris really famous before her? I mean all I know him for is dating Taylor. Seems like she is dating someone not famous she just made him famous.
he wasn’t as famous as Harry Styles or Jake Gyllenhaal, but he’d had some pretty major smash hits with his name publicly on them, and collaborated with some pretty major artists (notably Rihanna) – so yes, he was famous to some degree. Enough that I recognised his name when they started dating/could name his songs.
Yeah, he was. I’ve known about him for a couple of years, even before his makeover, and I don’t even listen to EDM. I think he was more famous in Europe.

If you are into EDM, he is extremely famous. Also, huge in the UK. He’s been the world’s highest-paid DJ since 2013.
he did well in the UK but he wasn’t a huge celebrity. he did his hollywood make over and since then hes been dating mainly famous women and become more high profile. hes super ambitious and wanted to be a superstar and i suspect thats why he is dating Taylor, like her he wants to be part of a power couple i suspect.
Calvin harris has been huge in australia for years. I listened to his music back when he started. He was massive in the dj/producer industry. Taylor has just made his name more mainstream.

If she follows her album-every-two-years schedule, I’m willing to bet that an engagement will happen sometime around August-October, when a new album is coming out. Since 1989 was all about ~finding herself~ without a man, the next one can be about finding a man and locking him down now that she’s secure in herself or whatever- it’s the logical progression of her transparent narrative.
Maybe Ruby Rose, but not Calvin, for sure.
