Several weeks ago, we reported on Vanity Fair’s online poll to determine “The Most Beautiful Woman In the World”. The list strived to be multi-cultural and anti-ageist with the inclusion of women like Halle Berry, Queen Rania of Jordan, Penelope Cruz and Catherine Deneuve. Initially, when the poll first went up, the early front-runner was Angelina Jolie with an astonishing some-odd 75% lead. The race narrowed in the final days, but Angelina still came out ahead, winning by 58%. Gisele Bundchen came in second with 9%.
We asked, you answered: 58 percent of voters responding to VF Daily’s just-closed Most Beautiful Woman in the World poll think Angelina Jolie reigns supreme. In fact, the competition wasn’t even close.
Out of the 19 women on the list, Gisele Bündchen came in second place, with 9 percent of the vote, followed by Halle Berry with 4 percent. That means we can discard all those ballots with hanging chads—there’s no recount needed here.

I don’t think much of these “Most Beautiful” or “Sexiest” lists. In the past year, women as diverse as Eva Mendes, Megan Fox and Jennifer Aniston have all been named as the most or the sexiest whatever. What surprises me is the sheer number of Brangelunatics voting in this poll. Vanity Fair wouldn’t allow for multiple votes from the same computer so, in theory, that means a lot of people were voting for Angelina, rather than just few people voting multiple times.

I love Angelina, but I never vote in these - they’re completely subjective and what cracks me up is that in like 2 months they’ll do another one and the results will be different. It’s basically a waste of time.

Personally, I think that Gong Li should have been on that list. She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen on film for sure.

I love Angie from way before and love her even more now for coming into her own as lovely young woman. She is indeed beautiful. However, we do not and will never know who the “most beautiful’ woman in the world is because she is probably living in the mountains somewhere, barefoot, plainly dressed, etc. Maybe the most beautiful woman star or something like that? I don’t think these polls should exist anyway, it sends the wrong message.

Well, it is not surprising that Angelina Jolie was voted “The Most Beautiful Woman In the World”, after all, that’s what the media has told us/bragged about for the past couple of years and her face in the most recognized by people. These lists are more about who is the most media exposed then appearance.

OH stop all the negative crap. The woman is beautiful. Don’t hate her because her fans voted for her. You don’t like her…don’t vote for her. Vote for the person you believe is the most beautiful. If you don’t believe in these polls then don’t vote AT ALL and stop commenting. Jeeze it’s hardly her fault that people find her attractive. Berry in my opinion is 10 times more beautiful than Giselle and should have been tied if not closer to Jolie. I think Monica Belucci is also beautiful. Aniston appeals to her fans as well. There are many out there but Jolie won this time. Give it a rest.

I think, I am the MOST beautiful woman in the world…but no one knows me to namonate me…(none of the people who know me are into nonesense like this to namonate me…LOL)if I had all the spa treatments and the kind of pampered life style they have I would look 10 times better then what I look now…

But I was watching ENews.. They were showing a clip of a audio from Jamie Fox and his radio show. He said some really harsh things about Miley C. I am not a fan of Miley, but when I comment on her I remind myself that she is a child. He was very inappropriate. Then they had that Ass Ken Baker who was on to talk about Lindsey doing a momo for EHarmony.. He said not a word about Jamie Fox and his rant. So I am waiting to see if some New York post reporter does a article on this. I mean they did a big on on Angie and Brad “snubbing” people at the Oscars. Jamie was out of line. But I am going to post this on several sites to see what the response is to that. Let’s see if people call for a boycott of his movie. Lets see if there is backlash.. I doubt it. There is a double standard to live up to, now isn’t there.

As I stated earlier, Angelina is beautiful, there is no denying she looks just like her mother, another beauty. Unfortunately often a beautiful face does not translate into a beautiful soul. However, I do not know Angelina Jolie and to consider the work she does for third world countries, that is beautiful..I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and to me my daughter and granddaughters have the titles of most beautiful women in the world, that is at least in my small and simple world.
