The fall out from that tweet was glorious on Twitter last night. Also the Rob Lowe clapbacks were 100%.

  2. Millsmilli says:

I want to thank not only god but also Jesus for that tweet.

  3. kri says:

Taraji, I owe you one. LMAO.

  4. Nancy says:

She knew exactly what she was doing. lol

    • V4Real says:

I laughed but then thought that’s not funny. If it had been a White actress confusing two Black R&B groups such as Blackstreet with 112 Taraji would probably be the first one complaining that not all Black people sound alike.

      • Nancy says:

V: That’s what I meant about her knowing what she was doing. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but what are you going to do. Our society is a mess right now, hoping some day it will change. Fingers crossed.

      • me says:

Remember when that KTLA news castor mixed up Samuel L. Jackson and Laurence Fishburne? The dude was forced to make a public apology and people demanded he get fired. I don’t know if Taraji was being serious or not, and yes I know she was not doing an interview and it’s not her job to do so, but it was kind of tasteless on her part. Let’s not all be hypocrites now.

      • V4Real says:

Yep, I’m with you guys, She knew exactly what she was doing. It’s not cute. We all know Maroon 5 and Coldplay sounds or look nothing alike. Shame on Taraji. She does not get a pass.

      • jc126 says:

That is true, they’d be pilloried and called all kinds of names, probably on this site.

      • Greenieweenie says:

Oh, too much. Too much! This is what people dislike about political correctness. There’s no room for reality. It’s one thing for an actress to mix up a British basic b*tch pop star with an American one. It’s another thing for fellow actors and the people who interview them for a living to repeatedly fail to recognize the biggest stars of the business…if they’re black.

Speaking to two different issues. One is an instance of confusion, the other is a pattern of disrespect from complacency.

      • Colette says:

Well she clearly explained she was tipsy(too many shots) when she did it.Sam Rubin was a entertainment reporter on the job,I assume sober ,when he made the mistake.Try again

      • V4Real says:

Tipsy? What a cop out. As Jamie Foxx says Blame it on the alcohol.

No, how about blaming it on yourself.

    • Snazzy says:

      @me I totally agree

  5. catwoman says:

‘Cause those white guys all look alike.

  6. Miss Grace Jones says:

I’m glad Rob Lowe’s grimy ass is getting called out–it truly baffles me how arrogant white men can be to call out someone for professionalism when they’ve diddled minors. Jesus Christ.

    • CornyBlue says:

Rob Lowe is just human trash.

      • word says:

There’s a new show that’s called “You, Me, and the Apocalypse”. It’s a good show, the only thing I don’t like is that Rob Lowe is in it. He plays a priest.

      • lucy2 says:

I’ve only seen the first episode, but I honestly thought he was great in it. I think he’s a very good TV actor, but pompous jerk off screen. He keeps getting in trouble with insensitive tweets, and is one of those actors who should keep his commentary to his friends and family, not the world.

      • word says:

        @ lucy2

See that’s the problem. It’s easy to look past his acting skills when all you can think of are the things he says outside of the acting world.

  7. word says:

Oh shut up Khloe. You say Kim never drinks? We have seen her drinking on the show and acting drunk (bad acting at that). Kim also was the spokesperson for some Vodka company. Kind of stupid to say she doesn’t drink isn’t it?

  8. Lou says:

Whatever, i thought Coldplay were good. Apparently that’s the worst thing you can say in public. You don’t always have to tear one person down to build another up.

    • Jess says:

No, apparently the worst thing you can say in public is you’re a Nickelback fan. Trust me, it sucks.

    • Adrien says:

They’re a good band. The problem is they stuck on the same formula that made them globally successful. Same with Maroon 5. I’m embarrassed to listen to them publicly but they are on my gym playlist (on headphones, of course). I think the whole Coldplay hating were started by Radiohead fans on their fan message boards in the early aughts. Then they were mocked in 40 year old virgin. Add to that was Chris marriage to Goopy. It was just rote trashing from there. I don’t hate Nickleback. I’m indifferent to their music.

  9. Sammy says:

I don’t know why Eli keeps getting crap about not being excited. The clip they keep showing was from when Peyton pulled off the 2 pt conversion and there was still like 3 minutes left on the clock. 3 minutes can be a lifetime in a football game and I’m not surprised at all that Eli wasn’t celebrating already, he was probably waiting until it was a done deal. It was anyone’s game until pretty much the very end.

    • Lucky says:

Thank you!!! Of all people, Eli knows how much a game can change in 2 minutes. He’s not very demonstrative anyway

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

Thank you, part 2. It’s obvious he was very focused on the game and they used that clip out of context.

  10. Dee squared says:

Kerry Washington: Nooooooooooooooooooooo! What the hell are talking thinking?

  11. FF says:

Taraji probably just doesn’t listen to those acts. When you’re not that familiar with acts and their music they do look alike and easy to mistake with each other.

Plenty of bands I found interchangeable until I started listening to them.

Someone will be mistaking Zayn Malik for Justin Bieber next. Or Radiohead for Muse.

Ps- white people making a similar mistake about black acts get more clapback because of a culture that has directly discriminated against – in the past – and routinely dismisses black artists and music in general (unless it’s too popular to be ignored).

It’s a consequence of history and it’s present day layover not just some random thing occurring in a vaccuum to generate white tears. Do people just like ignoring that fact when they want to imply black people can ‘get away’ with saying something white people ‘can’t’?

    • TJ says:

Comments like this keep racism alive and everyone fighting. Stop punishing people now for things that happened in the past, it’s so ridiculous and you’re acting like and being the very thing you claim to be against. AKA it’s ok for you to be racist, but not other people.

      • teacakes says:

“Stop punishing people now for things that happened in the past”

lmao @the delusion that this super mild turning of the tables on some insipid band, is “punishment”

And double lol because that stuff didn’t just happen in the past, black people/poc being treated like they all look the same is something that happens EVEN NOW.

    • jeanpierre says:

      That comment is pure truth

    • Marianne says:

I agree. People make innocent mistakes all the time, if its not music or actors that they particularly listen to/watch.

I dont think its cool to hate on someone (no matter their race) if they honestly mixed 2 people up. However, I think its a little bit different if you’re a journalist though (like that guy who mixed yp Samuel l Jackson and Laurence Fishburne). That’s your job to know who you’re talking to.

  12. jeanpierre says:

To me all those boring white rock acts sound alike, radiohead included. I could have make that same confusion.
