It felt like Peter Facinelli moved on from Jennie Garth about two seconds after they split. There were always rumors – persistent but hard-to-verify rumors – that Peter had cheated on Jennie for years, that he was fooling around on her a lot, especially when he was in Canada filming the Twilight series. But as soon and Peter and Jennie were done for good, he moved on quickly with Jaimie Alexander, and they got engaged last year (Jennie Garth announced her engagement soon after too). While I didn’t think Jaimie and Peter would last very long, I was slightly surprised to see that they did manage to make it work for more than three years. But now it’s over – they announced their split to People Magazine.
Nearly one year after getting engaged, Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli are going their separate ways.
“Due to conflicting family and work commitments on opposite coasts, and after much consideration, Peter and Jaimie have chosen to part ways amicably and remain good friends,” their reps tell PEOPLE exclusively.
The Supergirl actor, 42, and the Blindspot actress, 31, were first linked in November 2012 eight months after Facinelli split with wife Jennie Garth. The duo last stepped out publicly at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards in January.
I feel like there’s some other stuff going on, but kudos to them for not dragging it out and making it into some huge drama. I’m guessing a leopard doesn’t change his spots and once again Facinelli was probably fooling around. I don’t know enough about Jaimie to say if she’s capable of cheating, but I will say this – her career is in much better shape than his right now. She’s got Marvel work, she’s on network TV, she’s getting magazine covers, she’s getting buzz as a Fashion Girl. It’s perfectly possible that she outgrew him and she was the one to end it.

I don’t get the appeal of either of these people. He’s a little creepy and she’s kind of meh.

I hope Jennie is having a nice, quiet moment of satisfaction about this. She’s (hopefully) happily remarried and Peter is back to prowling around. She’s lucky to have gotten out of that situation.
I always liked Jaimie but the things I’ve heard recently about diva behavior don’t endear me to her.
What I thought. He was such an idiot to leave his family. Jenny’s the one with a hot husband right now and I hope she’s happy and full of Schadenfreude.
I bet Jennie is a good person and is sad her children are losing a woman they had in their lives for three years, and is likely concerned about how many temps Peter will let them get attached to.

How you get him is how you lose him. I don’t think Peter was cheating on Jennie with multiple women, I think he was cheating on her with JAMIE. They worked together on Nurse Jackie and a TV movie before he ended his marriage.
Was she in the Twilight series? He was cheating on Jennie with someone from that series — I heard at least one person and possible 2. So yeah, he was cheating with multiple and Jamie wasn’t his first.
She wasn’t even in hollywood when he started cheating so …
I’m not sure who Peter could have been cheating with on Twilight. Not Kristen Stewart or Nikki Reed, as they both had bfs for the duration of those movies. Bryce Dallas Howard is married.
Maybe the girl who played Alice? I can’t see it, but you never know.

Yes I definitely believe Peter and Jamie were canoodling behind his wife’s back. She was virtually unknown until the relationship came out. Now of course she’s more of a household name and his star is on the decline.

I love that show too but I keep reading that she’s quite the diva & a big troublemaker on the set.
Where? I only read one post here and it was mainly dealing with her frustration around the makeup process, but when your body is covered in tattoos and it takes hours to apply and remove, I am not sure how not enjoying that is “diva behaviour”.
I really like her, and the show, (not to mention Stapleton…) so I’d be disappointed if it were true. But I’ll wait for a bit of evidence before buying it. Hopefully she’s smarter than creating a reputation for difficulty. And as for him, as someone who never watched any of his stuff, I say good riddance. She is younger, prettier, hotter and with a career on the upswing. Whether the distance intervened, or his repeated douche behaviour, better cut your losses now.

Jennie is having a little party today. She embarrassingly (imo) played the victim after the divorce and lost a little of my sympathy for her. I don’t think she left him. I think he left her because after the news broke that they separated, there were pics of her just looking very sad.
Not even getting into their actual relationship, but he films Supergirl in LA and Blindspot is in NY – and as the star of the show she’s got to be working long, long hours. Relationships don’t exactly thrive when you’re only seeing each other for a couple days at a time every couple of weeks.

It was a recurring character in the first few seasons, as Jackie’s husband’s sister. I think her name was Toonie.

they seem pretty mismatched to me, but I’m guessing she’s the one who ended it. Did she think he was going to live off of his Twilight fame forever? Unlike Dr. Cullen, Peter does actually age and it doesn’t look like he’s doing it well. Maybe he cheated but I believe they were crazy about each other and I believe the distance made it just impossible. TV’s notorious for long, long hours. She seems like a nice woman and not the diva type at all but she’s so boring in the interviews I saw of her during her Thor promotions and I don’t think she’s read a book since high school (but I’m assuming and judging and could be wrong).
