I’m splitting up the Elle Style Awards photos into two different posts, just FYI. The annual event – for the UK edition of Elle Magazine – is held in London every year around the same time as the BRIT Awards. I seem to remember the Elle Style Awards coming after the Brit Awards in previous years, but this year, the ESAs came one day before. Let’s start off with Elizabeth Olsen in Calvin Klein. I guess I can’t make a joke about a Hiddlesbaby, right? Because she doesn’t look pregnant anymore. It’s almost as if she’s making a conscious choice to show off her midriff so we’ll know that Tom Hiddleston hasn’t impregnated her! Anyway, I have no idea if they’re still together, if they’re friends with benefits, or whatever. I don’t really care for this CK look.
Here are Ellie Goulding and Liv Tyler, both in Stella McCartney. I’m not feeling either look – Ellie’s dress looks like a budget version of the lingerie-inspired slipdress trend from the ‘90s, and the body chain worn outside of the dress? LOL. Liv’s dress is okay except for the shade of blue.
Charlie XCX in some acid green monstrosity. Sigh… this is so bad.
Jourdan Dunn in Emilio de la Morena. I love Jourdan and think she’s amazing. The dress is meh.
Paloma Faith in Armani Privé. I don’t get why she’s a thing? I would have loved this ensemble on Cate Blanchett though.

OK. Liv Tyler. That. THAT! That is the body I want. I feel like she has a similar figure/weight to Kate Winslet. Both very beautiful, with my proportions, and a more attainable goal than super skinny (no judgement against the skinnies, but it’s not my build so I would never try)(plus, cake).
What size do we think she is? I can never tell. A 6? Does that seem right? Or is she slimmer, like a 4?
I would think maybe an 8? She is perdy!

I hope the floors are clean because the hemline on Elizabeth Olsen’s pants are going to go from white to black by the end of the night. Why do people insist on wearing pants that hangs over their shoes and drag on the floor. And is it just me or does her hemline seems a bit stringy?

Dude. I’m still half awake, and her lips brought me up one more level of awakeness because they’re so jarring. Like… Is she purposefully pouting or is that actually what her lips look like now? Yeeeesh.
To each their own, but in Ellie’s case it makes me really sad. Her first album, Lights, was there for me during a really hard time in my young life. Her songs were so real and relatable, so it’s really sad to see her fakeify herself.
Honestly the lips are less absurd than that body jewelry being worn OVER her dress. I’m all for doing things differently but it just looks…. Well it’s a definite miss IMO.
Shambles, I remember when she was the Critics Choice at the Brit Awards a fair few years back right before Lights came out and I completely agree.
She’s not a particular favourite of mine, but I appreciated hearing a new tone of music on the radio back then.

Liv is gorgeous, and the blue dress would be perfect with a better built-in bra. The rest of the outfits are once again proof that no matter how expensive an outfit is, if it lacks good taste… It’s still an epic fail. Do these women lack mirrors, or common sense, or both? Jourdan is such a beautiful woman, but that dress is terrible, and the rest are beyond fug.
Same thing I thought, Liv needs more support. She still looks like a goddess and is the best dressed. Love her so much.
I think the age of the stylist is drawing to a close. They couldn’t do any worse dressing themselves.

Paloma Faith is a singer and a darn good one; and she’s fun on Brit panel shows. She got Russell Brand with some great shade on Graham Norton too. She needs to go back to her red hair though the blond does nothing for her. Everyone is looking pretty meh or a style awards show. I wish Charlie XCX would get a better stylist; she could really rock some great clothes but is currently lost in the pop part genre.
On another episode of Norton, she had Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville, and Matt Damon drinking out of her shoe. Funny lady.
Forgot about that one! That was awesome. I love her on NMTBC too. She smashed a cake on one episode. If I was in control of the world PF would have a career like Adele’s. I think she’s better vocally, and her song choices are far superior IMO. I might put her above Amy Winehouse too. Prince is a fan too.
That episode will go down in television history <3

She’s an amazing singer. I remember watching her perform ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ last year at the Brit awards and being moved to tears, it was incredible. Bit confused as to why the writer is questioning why British celebs are there – its a UK event, so… Just because they arent famous in the US doesn’t mean they don’t exist, obviously.

The Olsen sisters Irish twin was the only one that had it it right in my opinion. The others not so much, All that blue on Liv makes me dizzy. Hate the one sleeve on Jourdan and that expression on her face looks like she was staring at Liv’s dress too long. Charlie and Paloma, oh my, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything…………silence.

yes, i’m sure she chose the outfit for hiddleston crazy stans lol. that outfit is horrible btw, i looked at most dresses from the style award, and barely anything looks stylish at all.

Well, any day now she will be off up a mountain to film for a couple of months, so it is unlikely she chose this as a good time for a pregnancy.
