Just FYI: This post is going to be pretty breast-intensive. Sorry! We’re still going through the last of the Oscar party photos, and all of the pics in this post are from the Vanity Fair party, the gold-standard of Oscar parties. Some celebrities actually covet the VF Oscar party invite more than the Oscar invite. Diane Kruger is always invited to the VF party, and nearly every year, she attends with boyfriend Joshua Jackson. This year, she flew solo. Joshua is working in a play in New York and he couldn’t get the time off, especially not to fly to LA to go to a party, you know? So this is what Flying Solo Diane Kruger looks like. I can’t say I’m a fan. This Reem Acra dress is utterly beneath her status as a Fashion Girl. It actually looks like really cheap dominatrix lingerie… meets Old West saloon lamp.
Serena Williams in Galia Lahav. Serena, I love you, but this is a fug bridal MESS. The sheer at the waist is maybe the worst design detail ever. Yes, this dress is so bad that I’m getting hyper-dramatic about it. Serena, you could do MUCH better.
I think Kate Upton has a great figure, and I understand on a personal level how difficult it is to find clothes that flatter a large, natural bust. But I feel like she’s about to pop out and that makes me uncomfortable.
Miranda Kerr in a custom KaufmanFranco gown. Miranda LOVES to expose her body. I think this dress is pretty tacky, actually, and not really flattering – the cutouts make her look boxy rather than curvy. I wonder if she “ran into” Leo DiCaprio at the VF party.
And finally, for someone less look-at-my-breasty, here’s Priyanka Chopra in a bespoke Jenny Packham gown. I like this a lot, actually. I think I prefer this to her bridal Zuhair Murad gown at the Oscars.

I have to say a lot of the Reem Acra stuff I’ve been seeing (I follow on IG) hasn’t thrilled or impressed me. It’s all kinda cheap-looking…
MY eyes!! Oh god. I love Serena but WTF was she thinking?? That body deserves so much better. As for Diane…that dress (underpinning, really) could have been amazing if the designer had bothered to finish it. It looks like a lampshade from a bordello had been called into service. Oy.
I like the Middle Eastern (?) folk motives running through Diane’s dress but it is all lost because the dress is sheer and all you see is the body.
I think the dress would’ve been gorgeous if it had matching dark red lining.
Miranda Kerr usually looks fabulous but those cut outs are not doing her any favors. She looks trying too hard.
OMG, Kate Upton looks great! She has nice rack, lolz! I love her dress even if she were less busty. I love Diane Kruger’s dress too. She always looks terrific though.

I totally agree. Without the Western Saloon fringe I think it would be great and perfect if the beading was continue all over instead of just in bands. The amount of skin showing through makes it look tacky, but the beaded areas just hint at it and I find that sexy.
Wow. So much bad in one post. Even big bazoombas can’t distract from the heinousness.
Diane looks like a modern version of Scarlett O’Hara’s wanton hussy “plenty of rouge” dress she wears to Ashley’s birthday party.

I think Diane Kruger’s dress looks like something the star “performer” in a brothel would wear… And I like it! Kate Upton looks good too. Serena is hurting my heart though. She could do SO much better!

I think the top of Diane’s is gorgeous, but the sheer skirt with fringe ruins the whole thing. Picture that with a simple, solid skirt.
I like Priyanka’s. Serena’s looks like something you’d seen in an “OMG look at this horrible wedding dresses!” post on Buzzfeed.
Miranda’s dress makes her look very boxy, but don’t worry, she’ll just photoshop herself to look better.
Love Priyanka in this over her Oscar dress. Although I don’t get why WOC seem to not want to wear color when they look sooo phenomenal when they do.
White and light grey are really hard colors to wear for anyone.
I have some coworkers from India and they look great in blues, golds, reds and greens. I love blue especially with that skin tone.
Diane K’s dress is tragic. Can you imagine if she and Gwen Stafani stood side by side at this event? That’s enough red mesh to cover the building they were in.
Serena’s dress is awful. She looks like she’s doing something to her face, or that is some terrible lighting.
I guess I’m the only here who loves Diane’s dress. LOL! Loved the color and don’t mind the sheer factor to it. Serena needs a new stylist, someone who knows quality lace. Kate looks great, Miranda looks like she’s trolling for a rich husband and Chopra looks meh.
So Miranda Kerr doesn’t seem pregnant anymore.. lol.
SO….Josh Jackson was her secret stylist weapon all along?
I’m so done with cut out dresses. I don’t think they’re flattering at all, especially if the cut out is at the waist. They always make the waist look bigger.
Diane’s dress is…..interesting. The cut is awesome. The rest, not so much.

I love Diane Kruger’s dress and I am sick to death of see-through crap. But that is stunning on her.
I love Diane but I really loathe her style. I am of the mind to wear things that make you more beautiful not less. Her clothes always take away from her beauty. Its like she doesn’t know what style she likes. Almost confused.
