Ahh Obama was not a good POTUS. I get that he seems ‘cool’ but being cool doesn’t matter to me. I just want a good effective POTUS. Which he was not.

1) Historically, sitting presidents do not attend former FLOTUS funerals. The sitting FLOTUS goes (which Michelle O did). He was following protocol.
2) Unemployment is down
3) Insane health care costs are down for the vast majority of Americans, and millions are now insured who weren’t before.
4) He hasn’t started a single race war. Unless you mean “the election of a Black president stirred up a quiet rage in racist Americans” then sure.
5) Benghazi bupkis. Our last president should have been tried as a war criminal.

as for Nancy Reagan’s funeral, it’s been explained, but as you’re likely a FOX news viewer, it bears repeating. a sitting POTUS does not usually go to a former FLOTUS’ funeral. Carter didn’t, Reagan didn’t, Bush the Elder didn’t, Bill Clinton didn’t, and Bush the Lesser didn’t either. educate yourself beyond what you’re being force fed.

How can this country even consider going from having Obama in the White House to having Trump there?
If Obama truly was a good POTUS, then people would not be voting for Trump like they are now. He has not put the country in a better place since Bush left. He had the chance but he didn’t. Trumps rise is due to Obama’s failure as a POTUS.
And this is coming from someone who FEARS for Trump if he were to become POTUS!
Nadine – It is a percentage of Republicans voters who are voting for Trump. The vast majority of these same voters NEVER voted or supported President Obama in the first place. So to say his presidency is driving these people to vote is a red herring. For a party who touts personal accountability, so many Republicans love to blame President Obama for their issues.
What Republican Trump supporters have made very clear is that they are following Trump because he is not part of the establishment. They are rejecting the establishment overall and specifically within their own party. There are a whole host of other more psychological reasons why this group of voters are supporting Trump that has been covered in the news.
And if we are thinking about the popular votes counts thus far in the primaries, Trump does not yet have a majority among Republicans (42% of the votes among the top three Republican candidates).

Cruz —— 3.4 mill
Rubio – 2.3 mill

Not totally true. Plenty of people think Obama is a failure as a POTUS and tons of us are Democrats too. Trumps rise and insane popularity is due to Obama’s failure. Trump can’t be this popular based only Republican vote solely. I bet you some Dems and Independents are voting for him.
Nadine – Yup there are Dems who are disappointed by President Obama. No doubt.
But I think it is reach to imply that Democrats who feel President Obama is a “failure” are giving rise to Donald Trump. That would be the same as saying that Republicans who think the Republican establishment is a failure is giving “giving rise” to Bernie Sanders.
Some of the primaries thus far have been open primaries, and sure there must be some democrats voting for Trump and some Republicans voting for Sanders.
My point is that Trump’s popularity (besides the media’s constant coverage of him) is based almost exclusively on a group of Republican voters, the vast majority who have said President Obama was a failure from day 1. So I don’t subscribe to the idea that President Obama’s actual performance in office is driving these voters or Trump’s rise. It’s more like the rejection of President Obama in office at all.
We can agree on one thing though, the fact that Trump’s popularity is as you called it “insane”.
I’d also recommend the Obama and Misty Copeland interview on time. It’s amazing and they are both very open and honest. When he talks about his daughters and how they view themselves. “That fact that they’ve got a tall gorgeous mom, who has some curves, and that their father appreciates, I think is helpful.”
