She might be a shy woman and men don't always pursue a shy woman who's not a great beauty. I see her as being the jovial buddy/church volunteer who keeps her private feelings to herself. Self-sufficient, but a bit lonely all the same. Just look at her song pick on Idol. She might have denied her never been kissed claim out of embarrassment. After all, on the show she did say, "OOOOOh, shame." Naturally, I'll buy her CD when it comes out. Like everyone else, I applaud this formerly unheralded treasure. (including me, I'll admit it. What's not to love about love? Even it's attendant pain is delicious.) Some people just don't care to participate and I respect that. Perhaps she'd just as soon curl up with some music, a glass of wine, a cat, and a novel.
