Some of you are not on-board with Nicholas Hoult. How is that even possible? I could have a very serious Nicholas Hoult problem if I really thought about it too much. He’s my type – tall, lanky, British, pale, dark haired-with-blue-eyes combo, and rather nerd-hot. He also comes across as really sweet. Sigh… Jennifer Lawrence knew what she was doing when she kept going back to him.
Anyway, these are some photos of Hoult at the Tribeca premiere of Equals this week. I think part of the problem might be that he doesn’t always photograph well on red carpets? Don’t get me wrong, the boy is photogenic! But he usually looks uncomfortable on red carpets and it detracts from his hotness. But if you want to really, really understand the Hoult attraction, you might need to see him in motion. The first full-length trailer for Equals was released this week and my Hoult problem is about to get a lot worse. He looks SO beautiful in this trailer. He and Kristen Stewart play would-be lovers (then actual lovers) in a dystopian society where emotions are not allowed. They fall in love and…sigh…
While the movie doesn’t exactly look good, I will watch it. Because of his face. And seeing Kristen Stewart act like a grumpy robot is pretty much in her wheelhouse.

Babyfaces on men are unfortunate, when guys are young they look lovely, but a babyface with aging signs looks ridiculous.
His cranium dome forehead is huge and while he seems like a nice lad, nope. Not really cute. He’s nice cute but not attractive if that makes sense. But I’ll watch this flick. I think he’s better in weird characters… I see bad reviews for this one but I’ll watch it
He has some of the most beautiful eyes. But I’m with @Stayce – he’s freaking adorable, and good looking – but just in a “hey that guy is cute” way, not an “omg he’s gorgeous I want to go to there” kind of way.

I recently saw him in Max Mad (boring plot but nice to look at) and did not recognise him AT ALL. His acting was on point. He’s a weird looking dude but I liked him in everything I’ve seen so far. Especially the early stuff like About a boy, Skins etc.
I don’t find KStew credible in romance stories.
She has a great body and a great face but I don’t get how anyone could fall for her vibe (although obviously many have).
And I am missing the chemistry between her and Hoult.
Yeah but this is a romance with no emotions, so this could finally signal KAtew’s Oscar worthy performance.

I won’t honk. Tall and lanky is my type too. Usually dark hair gets me going but I don’t like pasty so much. Exception of course for my ginger sexy prince. The components are all there but the end result leaves me cold.
The only honk I have is for his talent and my love for About A Boy.
I’m with you Magnoliarose, tall, lanky, dark haired, etc, especially when combined with a British accent, but despite Hoult possessing these attributes, ticking all those boxes…well he just doesn’t make me “honk” like everyone else. Loved him as Tony in Skins and am pleased to see he’s having a go at a decent career, but as far as him being ‘beautiful’ or ‘hot’? Um, nope. Something about his jaw/chin/lip area is unappealing to me. The same sort of weird bite/jaw thing that Cumberbatch has. Gives me the creeps.
Lol. I’m not a Cumby fan either. Great voice but nope.

I love him so much in About A Boy. That will always be one of my top 10 favorite movies, and he is just so chubby and sweet and adorable in that movie. I kind of wish he were still like that a little, but he is still pretty cute and seems like a nice guy.

I loved him in A Single Man. He is just so beautiful and interesting looking. I don’t think he has a baby face, especially with those cheekbones. He’s like a Dorian Gray.
I really liked him in A Single Man, too. He’s a fine actor and he does look a lot better in motion. He’s not really my type, but I understand the appeal.
For some reason that baffles logic, he was incredibly attractive in Mad Max, possibly more so than he is in this trailer, where he gets to be clean and wear a suit instead of being covered in gasoline and wearing skeleton face-paint. I don’t know!

It’s difficult to not remember him as a kid in About a Boy, but yes. He’s gorgeous. In the car commercials he does, his voice is yummm and he gives the camera some sexy looks.

He’s beautiful. I could be his mother so it freaks me out that he’s the little kid from the About a Boy movie. I like the trailer. I would see this. Reminds me of the only Michael Bay movie I like, The Island with Ewan MacGregor and Scarlett Johanssen. They were both hot in that movie.

Wasn’t he in the Hunger Games? I feel like when that came out, he was wearing unfortunate pants in a couple different photo ops and he looked wide hipped or something. He didn’t look anything like I pictured Finnick in my head so I was a bit disappointed.
However… isn’t he cast in Me Before You? That’s my favorite book I read this year so I’m SUPER looking forward to it, and I could see him in that role just fine. 🙂

Hoooooonk! I saw him on the red carpet for this film at TIFF, and he is truly one of the most genetically blessed people I have ever seen. Photos are a pale comparison of his true beauty. Swoon! I think he’s a great actor too! Skins was an eye opener after About a Boy.
