Oh wow, that trailer is full of awesome! I may not be able to resist seeing it in the theater.

    • V4Real says:

For a moment there I thought full cowboy was code for nudity. I got excited a little too soon.

    • VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

Please tell me I saw my new future husband Vincent D’Onofrio in that trailer!

      • KikiGee says:

        No, hands off. He’s mine!
With the sad passing of Alan Rickman, Mr D’Onofrio is now the only one who can claim the title of sexiest man on the planet.
        (Swoon)

  2. Renee says:

Great to see Denzel…not so sure about Chris Pratt though.

  3. truthSF says:

A movie with a Nubian, an Asian, and a Native American playing front and center? I’m sold!!!

    • Poisonous Lookalike says:

      IKR?!

    • luffy says:

Not all black people originate from the lands that would be considered Nubia. This is especially the case for African Americans, so please do not refer to all black people as such without knowing their actual heritage. Signed a black woman.

      • truthSF says:

Don’t tell this black person what to do. Signed a Nubian woman not from Nubia!

      • Breakfast Margaritas says:

Yes we know. The term is figurative, not literal. The point is historical association.

        An African-American

    • GreenieWeenie says:

the native actor is beautiful, FYI. Martin Seis…something. Was creeping his Insta/FB last night.

  4. KikiGee says:

Has Chloe actually matched her phone cover to her blouse??!??

    • Colette says:

My 17 year old cousin has about 40 IPhone covers. They sell them at a 99 cents store here.So she changes covers to match her outfit.SMH
      I’m sure Chloe didn’t get her cover for 99 cents,though. 🙂

  5. Scarlet Vixen says:

My dad is almost 80yrs old, a movie FANATIC, and the original Magnificent Seven is his all-time favorite film. He is beyond disgusted they remade it. It would be like if they remade To Kill a Mockingbird, or The Princess Bride or something. But, secretly I’m really interested in seeing it. 🙂

    • truthSF says:

Well, I hope you’re dad is informed that the original is actually a remake of a Japanese movie, and I bet fans of that movie are disgusted at the first remake.

      • Scarlet Vixen says:

Um…he’s nearly 80yrs old. And a movie buff. So…what do you think? Seven Samurai came out when he was already serving in the Navy, so ya, he’s aware. But Magnificent Seven wasn’t a replica–it’s a complete re-interpretation as a western with an amazing score and an all-star cast made up of some of the baddest ass actors of my dad’s era (Steve McQueen, James Coburn…Charles Bronson!) In my dad’s mind (and he saw the trailer already) this is more likely to be a lazy Hollywood copy of The Magnificen Seven, instead of a complete re-imagining of the Seven Samurai. As with the first Magnificent Seven, I think if they had changed the setting, etc I think he would be more open-minded. And, by the way, Akiro Kurosawa was also a big fan of the original Magnificent Seven.

      • Hadleyb says:

Why does everyone try to one up each other on here?

Just because the Mag Seven was a remake of another movie back in the day doesnt mean it wasn’t great or that it should be remade ..again.

Hollywood is running out of ideas and its been like this for the past 10 yrs.

    • Naya says:

If this film remake disgusts him, I wonder how he felt about the long running TV series from the 90s.

    • Mia4s says:

I will probably see this but I actually wish they’d done this story as something other than a Western. Then we would have had ancient Japan, the Old West, and…well a touch of originality. Love the diversity though.

It could be a good story for a Star Wars stand along movie; the Seven Jedi.

Oh and don’t forget the greatest reteling of this tale of them all; The Three Amigos! 😉

      • Hudson Girl says:

I was hoping Denzel Washington goes full cowboy was a euphemism, kinda like going the full monty. Oh, well. He’s still a great actor.

We LOVED watching The Three Amigos over and over growing up!

      • V4Real says:

@Hudson Girl I just recently wrote the same thing upthread before I read your comment. I thought I was going to get the chance to see Denzel in his full glory.

    • Moneypenny says:

Seven Samurai is an amazing movie–high on lists of best movies of all times. I can’t imagine the first “Magnificent Seven” or this one holding a candle to it (Kurosawa was a genius), but I think I’ll check this one out.

    • Breakfast Margaritas says:

Lol @ The Princess Bride as an untouchable cinematic classic.

  6. nicegirl says:

OMG DYING to hear the CB folks take on the Live with Kelly and Michael drama.

    • Tiffany says:

I believe that Kelly is flat out pissed that she did not get the position at GMA. On top of them cancelling the show to focus on GMA and only taking Straihan with them, after 20 years, something like that had to sting because I really do not think she will have anything in the pipeline. Empathy can be had while the drama can be enjoyed.

      • Lolamd says:

What? They are cancelling Live with Kelly ?

      • Michelle says:

@Lolamd–Michael is leaving the show, the show is NOT cancelled. He announced yesterday and Kelly wasn’t told before hand. He is already on GMA and will have a larger role starting in Sept. Kelly is allegedly upset and didn’t show up for work today.

I think Michael didn’t tell her because it wasn’t finalized and she may have booted him first if she knew he wanted to leave. I hope Celebitchy covers this.

      • Tiffany says:

@Michelle. There is a story saying the show is done. ABC wants to focus on GMA being the moring show.

      • Bridget says:

There’s a rumor that the show *may* be done, but nothing is announced yet.

And I’m a little surprised ABC is putting so many eggs in the Strahan basket, but I can understand why he would jump ship (I can’t imagine he was paid nearly as well in his Live contract). Ever since he retired from football he’s been hustling as hard as he can for a media career. I’ve always kind of wondered about the dynamic between him and Kelly, because it was very clear that she was the alpha on that show and he doesn’t strike me as the type that’s used to having to defer to anyone.

Though I don’t know that Kelly would be pissed about not being on GMA. Live is her show, while she’d have to share GMA with a whole bunch of other people. On the other hand, they apparently backed up the money truck for Strahan (Ripa is already making crazy money) so it’s no shock why he would jump ship, not to mention GMA probably sounds cooler to him.

      • Tiffany says:

Yeah, all of this is happening because she will have to look for another co-host. She never had to do that before.

  7. Maya says:

Oh yeah – Denzel and Cowboys? I am so there😍

    • Luna says:

i will watch anything with denzel in it. he is my all time favourite 😍 denzel forever lol

  8. Tiffany says:

Harriet Tubman is going to be on the 20. 00 bill. That… is…. great.

I will frame a bill I will never spend.

  9. Sarah01 says:

Byung -hun lee is so beautiful I’ll be watching this for sure. Denzel is magnificent!

If they could’ve added Charlize as one of them or maybe Amy Adams also or Lupita, it would have made me so happy.
I’m not a purist when it comes to movies I enjoy remakes as it gives new perspective or a different take on the original. The classics don’t have a lot of ethnic diversity and can seem quite backwards.
