In the past, people have had strong opinions for when parents should stop carrying around their growing children. While I do feel like sometimes the kids are definitely too big to be carried around endlessly, I also think the rules are different for celebrities, especially celebrities who are surrounded by paparazzi. While North West seems like she’s getting too big to be carried around, please remember that Kim Kardashian likely called the paps for this little stroll through Encino yesterday and the whole point of the photo-op was that Kim is carrying North, etc. Anyway… I really need Kim to stop with the flesh-colored onesies. I don’t get why she thinks they’re flattering. They are not.
Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye were the last guests on Khloe’s FYI Network chat show. The show was pretaped, and I covered some clips from the show earlier this week – go here to see. Apparently, there was more gossip from Kim and Kanye. Khloe asked Kim if she thinks she’ll have any more kids, and Kim said that she thought she would be fine with two kids but: “Kanye has been mentioning it every single day lately for the past 10 days.” As in, Kanye wants more kids. There are also some clips of Kanye talking about what it was like living at Kris Jenner’s house for so long, and like a good son-in-law, he says that it really did bring him closer to Kris and that was a good thing. The way these clips happen is a little weird, so just bear with this video!

I thought she needed her uterus removed and there was all this loud, make sure we all hear it talk about how this is it for her because of that. I suppose surrogacy. I’d be really surprised, though. She seems like the 2 she had was for show/obligation. She doesn’t really scream “present, involved, enthusiastic Parent” to me.

I wish Kim would wear something other than black or that nude/tan/taupe stuff. Those are terrible colours on her and she looked much nicer before when she smiled a lot and didn’t care about being such a “fashion icon”! As for carrying kids when they are big…North isn’t that old yet, so I don’t think it’s a big deal. Sometimes kids are feeling down and want to be close for a bit.
I think Kanye is kind of an ass in all ways, but going on and on about wanting more kids when you’ve just had one and they’ve had so many complications and problems medically is kind of insensitive. Enjoy your baby and your little girl and save the idea of more kids through maybe adoption or surrogacy for some point in the future.
Agreed on her color choices…I feel like Kanye has convinced her she’s this modern style icon. I also think he’s in denial he’s not married to an androgynous looking, rail thin model-even if he was, he doesn’t seem to have much of an understanding about which looks translate well from the runway to real life…and even less of an understanding about what looks good on a woman with Kim’s curves and complexion.
I agree, she looked much better in colors and shapes, say 7-8 years ago that actually flattered her body. What’s wild is that THESE are the outfits she’ll look back on and face palm herself about, like track suits and monokinis, except at least those weren’t as mock-able at the time. These new trends she wears are too be mocked now and forever.
Unless I see medical reports then I don’t believe all the complications she had. Just saying. Also, I think when you have a new baby in the house you become so enamored with him/her that you automatically talk more babies. On another website they are reporting that Kim would probably go the surrogacy route.
I smiled evilly at North’s shoes smudging her mother’s hideous outfit. One less flesh toned monstrosity, a thousand to go.

My youngest is 3 and I still pick her up. Heck, once in a while I pick up my 11 year olds (I still can and they don’t weigh much at this point – they were preemies and still catching up with others). I don’t walk anywhere with the 11 year olds, but I love the closeness it gives. I’m a snuggler!

Nope. I carried my son until he was almost bigger than I was. Bwah ha ha ha. it was just easier sometimes, especially when he had somewhere to be or there was a crowd.
Yeah…that comment offended me a little bit. Like us moms are judged for everything and now there’s some sort of rule that you can’t carry your own darn kid if you want? Like how about women just naturally stop carrying their kids when it hurts their back? Mmm kay! Yeesh. Sometimes little legs get tired, sometimes you just feel a certain area is dangerous and you want to walk quickly, sometimes you just want to pick up your child and hold them while you still can. You have the rest of their lives to not carry them.

Carrying North around is not an issue.
My eldest is almost three, and while I don’t carry her around the house or anywhere else, you’d better believe I do in crowded parking lots. If I were a celebrity and had people photographing me I’d pick my child up as well. It’s safety.
My 18 month old middle child will probabably have to be carried in parking lots until she’s ten because like a ping pong ball… Tiny and darting around erratically all over the place.
I sometimes carry around my almost four year old because I’m usually in a rush and he’s so slow!

While I’m sure this is not why she is doing it, ballet slippers/ shoes are not supposed to be worn outside the studio because it ruins the soles. I would carry my daughter long after she was too big for this reason on days when she forgot to bring regular shoes to change into. Again, pretty sure that’s not why KK is doing it…

Everything about Kim is an issue for me, EXCEPT carrying her daughter. How utterly absurd. I used to pick my daughter up until she got too heavy for me to do so.

What I find concerning is watching North walk? She trips over herself, falls down, her legs are knock-kneed. Clearly, she might need corrective shoes or braces but what do they do? They’ve put her in inappropriate heavy shoes, just for the sake of fashion, since she was a teeny child.
My 13 year old grandson was very pidgeon-toed when he was young. They thought he would grow out of it and would not do anything before he was 10. No special shoes were needed, just ones that had good support and had inserts made. His did not correct themselves (he has EDS-Ehlers Danlos Syndrome – a connective tissue disorder) and had to have his upper thigh bone broken and a rod put in to straighten them. Point of this is the Dr. may be watching and checking what is going on with North.
I didnt think North was a super cute baby but damn is she getting gorgeous. North, I hope you runaway to MIT and become an engineer (or whatever you want)
