Prince Harry & William might have stormtrooper cameos in ‘Star Wars VIII’

Ordinarily, I enjoy Prince Harry in black. Black really sets off his ginger coloring, and he’s absolutely gorgeous when he wears his black Army service dress uniform. But in these photos of Harry from Monday, the pics of Harry-in-black are so meh. I actually saw the perspective of the Harry-haters – he looked sort of average, like any other forgettable bloke. But the photos of Harry coming out of Westminster in the fabulous blue suit? DING-DONG. He looks gorgeous there. Honk if you want to see more photos of Harry in that striking blue suit.

Anyway, these are some assorted photos from Harry’s solo events on Monday, Anzac Day in Britain. Anzac Day, per Wiki, is “a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.” Basically, Harry was sent out to honor two of the United Kingdom’s most important commonwealth nations, and the Australian and New Zealander sacrifices in war. More and more, Harry is given these sorts of military, veteran and military-adjacent events. And shockingly, his brother and sister-in-law didn’t suddenly show up at any of his events.

Meanwhile, did you hear the rumor that Harry and William might have “cameos” in Star Wars VIII? Allegedly, when they visited Pinewood Studios last week, they got to try on some costumes and do some kind of walk-on cameo.

Rumours are rife that Prince William and Prince Harry have cameoed as stormtroopers in upcoming Star Wars Episode VIII and, excitingly, the Palace isn’t quashing them. During a recent visit to Pinewood Studios the princes met the cast and crew – including Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega – and it’s thought some secret filming took place.

“The princes dressed up in full stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey (Ridley) and Finn (Boyega) infiltrate a secret base,” a source told The Mail on Sunday. “The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicia del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry.”

While Disney itself is keeping tight-lipped on the speculation, the Palace isn’t completely crushing our hopes of the story’s truth.

“It’s a fun rumour that we can neither confirm nor deny,” a spokesperson told RadioTimes.com. “The princes had a great day showcasing the British talent behind Star Wars.”

[From Radio Times]

If Poor Jason can’t confirm or deny, then it probably DID happen. Although no one really knows if that part will make it into the film, or if it will just end up as some kind of DVD extra. Producers should have given Harry his own special lightsaber. A red lightsaber, for gingers.

You do realize there are tons of red lightsabers in Star Wars right? All the bad guys use them. Are you saying Harry is evil? You take that back! 😉

How fun if true. Who wouldn’t do it if they could?

    • teacakes says:

yeah, no red lightsabers for Harry, unless you’re saying he’s secretly a Sith Lord 😉

  2. DonnaLuv says:

Honking all day long for more Harry!

  3. NeoCleo says:

He always looks great to me no matter what he’s wearing.

  4. Twodollars says:

Gross. No. Keep William away from Star Wars.

  5. Vava says:

I thought Harry looked great in both the black coat and the blue suit.

It would be great if he was in Star Wars, but William – NO.

  6. Laura says:

    HONK, HONK, HONK!!!!

  7. LAK says:

Amazing how William is able to find the time to visit the filmset, possibly film a cameo, but can’t make the time to do anything for BAFTA, even when they go to him.

    • Paula says:

Well I read he visited the Star Wars set in his capacity as BAFTA president. They should have used another excuse to justify this visit because it truly feels like a joke.

    • The Original Mia says:

It really is amazing how he can do these things without the slightest bit of conscience. Won’t attend official BAFTA events, but will throw out his title to get access to the film set and a cameo.

    • k says:

Of course he can! The attention is all on him and his “hilarious” jokes about the lead’s appearance. He’s clearly the star there, not the people filming or his little brother. And if there is truth to the cameo rumour, we’re sure to hear how it was “awesome and gracious” of him to play a part in SW: Ep. 8. BAFTA, that organization where people are recognized for their talents and the attention is on them and not him? Not worthwhile in the least. Not even when the party is literally at your doorstep.

I was lurking for a while, but damn, I’m really starting to like the discussions and the snark here.

      • hmmm says:

Welcome to the dark side, k. 🙂

      • Salanta says:

        What “jokes” k?

Also, how will we even know if they’re in the movie? Don’t all Stormtroopers wear helmets?

      • k says:

        Thanks hmmm XD

Salanta: They were holding up a mask of Daisy Ridley’s face and he said “slight improvement.” I don’t know, it just rubbed me the wrong way when I first saw the video of them on set.

I think that’s why this rumour works. Daniel Craig was in Ep. VII and had a few lines. Maybe they’re doing the same here, but then they’d be repeating the same trick, which quickly loses its appeal.

      • Salanta says:

“Slight improvement”?! He wishes he looked as good as she does…
        Thanks!

  8. Murphy says:

The Queen knows she can’t send Kate to these events because she’ll flash again. She sends Harry when it has to be done right.

  9. Paula says:

Always honking for Harry. He’s my fav ginger now since Fassy is MIA. That blue suit is amazing.

  10. Vinot says:

I’m gonna have to go ahead and give it a HONK before I even finish the article

  11. The Original Mia says:

Honking for Harry! He’s a great representative for the Queen. As a veteran of war, his presence brings just the right amount of respect and solemnity the occasion requires. W&K probably didn’t show since they did the ceremony on their Aus/NZ tour. They wouldn’t want it to become expected of them.

I’m a jealous heifer because they got to meet the cast and film a cameo.

  12. Joy says:

I’m a ginger from a family of gingers and every time I see him I just think oh look he could be my brother.

  13. Betti says:

Are we surprised about this – no! That visit was nothing more than a jolly for both of them – a boys fun day out. So my taxes paid for them to have fun and a cameo in a movie franchise that’s already going to make billions.

You can bet your bottom dollar they asked for the opportunity – William we know is that shameless.

He CAN be the President of BAFTA but only when its to get something he wants.

  14. What was that says:

    HONK!

  15. right says:

Henry is average looking, indeed. The point is that he’s so refreshingly sweet and charismatic that he automatically becomes hot. Personally, I prefer being with dudes that resemble him than guys astonishingly handsome like Henry Cavill or Chris Evans, for ex. He reminds me of those guys who cuddle while having some pizza and beer on a Saturday night, 😀

  16. Jib says:

I think Harry doesn’t look good in the black coat because he was very serious at the war memorial – unlike someone who flashes at war memorials and while laying wreaths! And poor William!! I hope his new film career doesn’t have him feeling “bogged down.”

    • hmmm says:

Awww, I hope Willy doesn’t get weighed down too much at this very early age with saber duty.

  17. antipodean says:

Honk all day for Good King Hal. More so as he is honouring our Glorious Fallen! I was sad that he didn’t wear his dress uniform, but in blue suit, out of blue suit, in black coat, out of black coat, that is a honk in the affirmative, for deffers!
Also, I am sparing a thought for our GNATTY today who is having her colonoscopy. Lots of good luck to her, and hope she is up to commenting again tomorrow, (or even later today, if she is not too groggy). A day without her on CB is a sad day for me.

    • Poisonous Lookalike says:

I was wondering where she was (my work schedule has me not able to check in as early and often as I would like).

GNAT, hope everything went well for you.

    • teacakes says:

will just take the opportunity to leave a get-well-soon message for GNAT here, hope the operation went well!

  18. AntsOffTheScent says:

Still amazed he turned out to be the hot one

  19. bluhare says:

HONK! I’ve not done that before so I figured I’d better.

Harry got up before dawn to do the first one; I saw the photos before I went to bed!

  20. OctoberSong says:

He just looks so damn good in these pictures. He can clean up well when he chooses to.

  21. Nanea says:

    Honking for Harry.

He’s nowhere near a Hiddlestonian level of Hotness, but compared to Normal Bill Lamebridge, he shines. He appears to have learned from past transgressions, takes his commitments seriously and seems to genuinely care for the people he interacts with.

  22. Lainey says:

    HONK!!

  23. Magnoliarose says:

Honk. It’s hard to make it to all the posts and try to live at the same time but a late honk for my ginger sexy. I just want my soulmate to never forget I’m here for him always.

  24. Ravine says:

I call BS on this rumour. But I agree that the blue suit is gorgeous on him, especially in the first pic… swoon!
