Britney’s breakdown was business as usual

Britney’s “breakdown” during a much-reported OK! photoshoot and interview has been exaggerated and covered by just about everyone except us. To me it just sounded like more of the same from Britney, and no more worthy of coverage than her frequent ass or boob flashes. She tries to pull off rude behavior and piss poor judgment by being incredibly arrogant and deliberately stupid, as if it’s her birthright to behave like a spoiled toddler.

Britney seems to have behaved during the OK! shoot, which she requested and set up, no differently than can be expected from a woman who fired all her help, can’t keep friends or assistants, and routinely defends her behavior as if its normal and everyone else’s fault. She wiped her greasy hands on a dress, let her puppy shit on another designer original, and took off early wearing tens of thousands worth of clothing and jewelry, forfeiting an incredible million dollars for just one day’s work. All the bitch had to do was submit to one day of pampering by a team of experts and collect more money than the majority of people earn in a lifetime. Obviously that was too much for her, and in her warped view of the world she’s can’t even pretend to have manners for a day in order to get some much-needed positive publicity and a great deal of cash.

I wanted to write that this “stunt” might even cost her custody of her two boys, not that she seems to mind or take her mothering responsibilities any more seriously than basic hygiene and societal mores, but as I’ve already mentioned it wasn’t a stunt so much as business as usual for Britney. Her ex, Kevin Federline, and her recent “cousin” assistant/hangabout Alli Sims have now joined forces to come up with even more dirt to use in the divorce proceedings to show that she’s an unfit mother. As if any additional evidence is needed. The result may be that Britney loses custody of her boys to Kevin.

The pictures on the day in question don’t really point to much more than Britney’s failure to realize that she no longer looks good in tight dresses. There are some political reasons why OK! would characterize Britney’s bad behavior as a “meltdown” or “breakdown,” and Jossip points out that they’re not selling as many copies as their more salacious competitors, and that the editor is about to step down. It seems anyone could mistake such disgusting behavior as some sort of psychological break though. It’s much more flattering to the subject to think that there’s something seriously wrong with them on a particular day than to look at their pattern of conduct and realize that they’ve been behaving like this for months if not years.

Here is Britney yesterday after visiting an Australian designer’s shop in LA and wearing one of the dresses she purchased there. It’s really not bad for Britney. Thanks to Splash News for these photos.
