Kim Kardashian would be a ‘forensic investigator’ if she wasn’t famous

kim1

Kim Kardashian got another Vogue cover! Thankfully it’s not the American Vogue cover, although… we still don’t know who got the cover of the June issue of American Vogue, nor do we know if Anna Wintour is going to do another Vogue-Met Gala supplemental, and who would cover that. I’m just saying, it’s totally possible that Wintour would use Kim and Kanye for the cover of a Met Gala supplemental, considering that Vogue named Kimye the “best dressed couple” at the Met Gala. Prepare yourselves! Anyway, Kim covers the June issue of Vogue Australia. I actually don’t hate the editorial at all? But the interview is eye-rolly.

What she would do if she wasn’t famous: “I would be a forensic investigator and live a normal life.”

She wants to be like her mother: “I want to live her life and be successful, work hard and still have so many kids — and still take care of everyone else.”

Her real-life heroes: “My dad was, for sure.”

Her food vice: “Beignets from New Orleans”

Her idea of misery: “When I don’t have any sleep.”

[From Vogue Australia]

Kim has talked before about how much she loves Dateline specials about murder, and I think she likes Cold Case File and those kinds of shows. My mom is the same way – she can watch true-life murder shows all day long. Personally, I only like cop/murder shows that are fictionalized – the real-life cases bother me too much. Kim probably thinks that being a forensic investigator is sort of glamorous, don’t you think? Like on her TV shows. Anyway, she only has a high school education, so she’s not going to be dusting for prints at a crime scene any time soon.

In these photos she looks so gorgeous, I wish she would style herself like this in life instead of that tight ponytail and harsh makeup. This is so pretty

    • Guest says:

That’s what I thought. Is that a old face? Too bad shes Kim Karsdashian. Not to be snarky, but I’d rather be ugly then…boring vapid and artificial.

      • perplexed says:

Yeah, I was wondering if they took a photo from way back. She looks better here.

    • susiecue says:

She looks totally beautiful. I don’t know how much of it is styling and how much is ‘shop, or if the photos are old, but this is one of her best looks ever.

      • claire says:

There’s definitely shopping on her hips; probably on face too. You can tell that they slimmed down the left one and appropriately dealt with the waist too, but on the right side, they left her wide, but still shopped a cinching of the waist. lol.

      • noway says:

It’s photoshop, good makeup, and great lighting, but yes she looks really good here and younger than her caked on, over-styled, too tight clothes usual self. What’s sad is if you look at younger pictures of her, she was pretty and unique looking. Now she generally looks plastic and overdone. Nice to see a set of pictures where you see more of a glimmer of her old self even if it is retouched to oblivion.

      • noway says:

@claire on the cover shot I had a banner ad covering part of the hips and took it off and you are right. The hips are photoshopped uneven. Still nice job especially with the face, because I don’t think she looks like that now definitely softer and less fake with photoshop – now how funny is that when you look more natural with photoshop.

      • Jane.fr says:

There’s a lot of photoshop going on. Just look at her face in the second photo. The two half do not even belong with each over.

      • claire says:

@noway: yeah, the hips and waist shopping in the first photo is hilariously bad. and in the second one, they gave her a small of the back, which we know doesn’t exist anymore. the butt, in real life, has started creeping up her back.

    • Wiffie says:

I think she looks positively beautiful here. This is perfect styling for her!! Tank and jeans, that hair and makeup, she’d be a knockout.

      • Sarah01 says:

What they have created here is a stunning version of Kim. I think if she stopped with all the makeup, Botox, fillers and surgery and her diaper butt, she could look just like this.

  2. magnolia says:

I thought she would say aesthetician or waist trainer saleslady?

    • Snowflake says:

I would have guessed dermatologist or plastic surgeon myself.

      • annaloo. says:

You still need to go to med school for those occupations. Potential to attain medical degrees are not the first thing I think of when it comes to this woman.

      • Bettyrose says:

Forensic investigator involves sharp analytical skills, but she probably assumes they get those helpful flashback sequences, like on CSI.

      • Snowflake says:

We’re going based on her hobbies, not what education is required. Ok, how about makeup lady at ultra?

      • Jib says:

How smart is she?? Any of these careers, including forensic scientist, includes Bio, Microbiology, and all of the Chems – not a walk in the park for most smart people! I think she’s pipe dreaming, or smoking here!

    • pinetree13 says:

Those would be her actual careers. Retail. That is what she would do.

She clearly doesn’t realize that you don’t get to be a Forensic Investigator just because you watch a lot of crime shows. You actually have to have a SCIENCE DEGREE and then further specialize (at least that is the case here). I actually know a couple of women in the field (we went to school together though that is not the Science path I took we did have some overlap).

But yeah, Kimmie, I’m guessing your grasp of science is more “barely” then specialist.

Also why has no one commented on the extreme photo-shopping of her thighs!!!! They widdled them down to nothing! I love the styling of this shoot though.

  3. k37744 says:

Ah! The old nose!!! Soooooo much better!

Instead of devoting her life to solving crimes or fighting for victims….she’s a vapid poseur, posting naked selfies.

    Lucky us.

  4. Guest says:

She looks nice. Though you can’t hack your way into that job or buy. Whatever.

  5. laprincesita says:

Hate the photos, that’s her face from two years ago and that’s not her body

    • Myrna says:

Photos are beautiful, IMO, but yeah, that’s an old face – not her current one.
And, NO WAY that’s her body…photoshopped to the hilt.

    • lucy2 says:

I think they’re good photos and she looks great in them, but we all know that’s not what she actually looks like now.

    • pinetree13 says:

They really chopped her thighs down. They are not that small. Sad.

    • SydneySnider says:

I agree with you, la princesita. I can’t see the point of photos of yourself if they’re not actually showing you as you are. Several people I know occasionally get those glammend-up photos of themselves (and family members), and hang them around their homes. The photos are obviously well done, the styling and lighting professional etc., but the people in the shots look nothing like the people I know.

  6. L84Tea says:

    Aww, that’s so cute Kim.

    • Chrissy says:

She’s so relatable, isn’t she. She makes it sound like fame just landed in her lap and that she never chased it with every fiber of her being, along with her mother. Funny thing about sex tapes, nude photo shoots, famewhoring, endless grotesque plastic surgeries, using people including your own kids for attention etc. By the way, she wouldn’t last one day in that job as the focus is not on her.

  7. Cricket says:

At least her photos actually look like a Vogue photoshoot and not like Doolittles country catalog shots.

  8. CarolinaBelle says:

Well, she is an expert in bodily fluids! Yuck, couldn’t resist!

  9. Murphy says:

    NO.
She would still be organizing closets, or doing something with clothes/styling.
I know this because when she became famous she was out of high school–but not in college. Forensics require a degree.
    Try again.

  10. Cary says:

Wow. That seemed like an unnecessary slam at her level of education. I’m not a Kardashian apologist but that was a low blow. She didn’t say she had plans to do it or that she thought she was capable at this point. She said she WOULD do it.

    • FingerBinger says:

It didn’t look like a slam to me ,it was stating a fact. She only has a high school diploma.

    • Psu Doh Nihm says:

I’m with you Cary. As we mature some of us realize that we should’ve/could’ve worked harder or applied ourselves differently to achieve our dream careers.

In hindsight she probably realizes this.

I know I personally feel I could have better spent my college years doing something I am more passionate about.

    • annaloo. says:

I think it’s a fair assessment. I think she is a shrewd person for entrepreneurship and public image building, but I do not think those skills translate into the analytical and very introverted nature of a science based field. It’s not shaming at all.

      • pinetree13 says:

        Hey that’s a stereotype!

I went into the sciences and still work in the science industry to this day! I am super extroverted… 🙂

      • annaloo. says:

        That’s fair, apologies!

But I still do not think Kim Kardashian has the foundation to work in science.

    • Bridget says:

I don’t think so. Her level of education is by choice, not because of circumstances outside of her control. Don’t forget, there was in fact a point in time where Kim was not famous, and her jobs were “closet organizer” and “stylist”.

Granted, this whole discussion is kind of moot because Kim is famous specifically because she wanted to be and worked to be. She’s not famous because of a craft or a talent, she’s famous because she desperately wanted to be seen.

    • perplexed says:

She could have been educated if she wanted to. She’s the daughter of a high-level lawyer. She chose not to go beyond high school, which is fine for her, but I can see why people would judge her for wasting the opportunities afforded by genes and money.

      • pinetree13 says:

Exactly. She could even get an education NOW! It’s very sad to me when people have the money/time/ability to attend post-secondary education and they don’t do so. Heck, even if you never needed to work a day in your life you could at least take SOME sort of university courses just to better yourself. So many people never get the opportunity so it’s sad when people through that opportunity away.

    • Tifygodess says:

Kim has made it known that education isn’t a priority or even that important, so I don’t think it’s wrong to point out her level of education or lack of. Heck even when Kylie said she didn’t want to go to college, Kim said “good girl”.

Btw those photos are ridiculously tweaked. She is not that small. Compare these photos with her REAL unedited pap shots (not the edited ones they get sites to use) There’s a photo of her from Cuba that comes to mind, where she must have forgotten the camera were there.

  11. me says:

After she married her first husband at 19 she went to community college to study massage therapy…she dropped out a year into it I believe. Why didn’t she go into “forensics” then if she liked it so much? She looks great in these pics, more natural.

    • Erinn says:

Well to be fair – there are jobs that ANY of us would find interesting or fulfilling but might not be smart enough, or talented enough to do, non?

Everyone is taking this as if she said she put that plan on hold for fame. She just said she’d like to have done it. Just like I’d like to have been a pharmacist, or perhaps a lawyer, but I’m a web designer.

      • HeyThere! says:

Yes! I’m 30, married and have a baby but really want to go to law school. I know I could do it, BUT with a baby I’m not so sure. I already get zero sleep and can’t even read for fun. My books are dusty and it hurts my heart!

  12. Kitten says:

Yes I can picture Kim in the Ballistics lab, taking selfies with a shell casing.

    • Snowflake says:

And asking her fans if the shell casing makes look fat. Lol

    • SydneySnider says:

Ha! You three ^^^ !!! And let’s not forget the rest of her quote: “…and live a normal life.” Nothing stopping you doing that bit, Kimmie. Nothing at all. Or is there?

  13. prissa says:

Why aren’t real models on the covers of these high fashion mags anymore? So tired of seeing the K’s and Kylie all over the place. I don’t mind Kendall as much because she is a model but enough with the rest!!!

And a forensic investigator??? Yeah right!!

  14. Naya says:

If Kim Kardashian wasnt famous, she would be trying to get famous. Fact.

  15. missmerry says:

I think if she looked like this she would have more of a footing to stand on when she and others claim shes inspirational or beautiful, because she was naturally good-looking, but then she made herself ‘good looking’ in every single fake way she could pay for and so to me that took away from it, I think.

It’s a shame what she had naturally wasn’t enough for her, and she couldn’t see and stand behind her own positives before lazering, filling and slicing…she looked nice without trying before, she just needed a little polishing in terms of hair/makeup/wardrobe, but she took it to the extreme and now shes always so shellacked and shiny that it’s just not cute…

  16. Snowflake says:

I just want to know who that is on the cover. 😁

    • Beatrice says:

Exactly! I noticed that something looked very different about her face in the Met Gala photos and these as well–her face seems to be longer–new chin implant? I can’t figure it out but that is true every few months.

      • me says:

I noticed that too. I think she’s had something injected into her chin. For a while, her chin was slowly disappearing and now it’s back. Also, you can tell they really photoshopped her hips and legs in these pics.

    • Kk says:

Was going to post the same thing…completely unrecognizable. Looks kind of like Penelope Cruz. I don’t know why they even bother with celebrity covers if they don’t want the cover to actually look like the celebrity. Just put a random model or Photoshop creation on there.

    • Suzanne says:

I came to post the same thing…whomever that is, it ain’t Kim.

  17. Rockin Robin says:

How old is this cover? She looks good here.

  18. FingerBinger says:

Kim is from a wealthy family. If she wanted to pursue that she had means and opportunity. She’s what she always wanted to be very famous. She gets points for saying forensic investigator. That’s alot of science.

    • pinetree13 says:

If she was actually into science and promoted it at all, then she would get points from me. But she is a massive science fail. She has promoted products that had either no or junk-science behind them.

  19. Vylette says:

I looked at the headline and rolled my eyes so bad they are still stuck at the back of my socket. 😒. Lol!

  20. Skins says:

It’s like, I would literally be a forensics investigator. Like, I would be dusting for fingerprints and literally be solving like all sorts of crimes

  21. annaloo. says:

    HOW?

  22. Cindy says:

She can study how the corpses get that smooth, wrinkle-free, blank look? Sorry. Maybe too far.

  23. what's inside says:

She is a playa — I do not believe one word of what she says.

  24. Teatimeiscoming says:

Right, because she’s so good at focusing on stuff that isn’t her own reflection

  25. NL says:

She’s clearly a savvy person. I’m sure she could go back and get a degree if that was her goal.

  26. Paolanqar says:

Considering the fact she doesn’t have a f-ing clue how can she be an investigator??!

  27. Kelly says:

    I am impressed!

She said “forensic” and “Investigator” in a sentence without a like… Meanwhile, CSI agencies are shutting down as we speak.

    • mary simon says:

She probably really said “like, you know, one of those people who goes in after the murder to look for clues and stuff.”

  28. Ayra. says:

That was actually one of my plans. I was pretty flexible during high school, and I loved those investigation shows as well, Date Line, Homicide Hunter, ID ect.. I just found that the process of discovering a murderer and retracing their steps to be incredibly fascinating.
My plans went from an astrophysicist, a lawyer, and a forensic investigator. I got accepted into an astronomy program and a law program in two different countries, I went into law, now my goal is to finish law then go into astronomy. I genuinely do enjoy going to school so who knows.

She has the financial means to go back to school and get the degree. I highly doubt she’d actually go through with it, but hey. I do see her taking a selfie over a body…

  29. Green Is Good says:

These pics are 4 faces ago. And whose waist did they borrow?

  30. Harryg says:

But you can still be one, Kim! Just take those butt-selfies at the crime scene!

  31. AV says:

Seeing as she chose to have a clothing store with her sisters in her pre-fame wh*re life and didn’t bother getting a degree….please. I love it when people who have shown no interest in education beyond high school make comments like this. “I was almost a doctor!”

    • me says:

Even the clothing store was only opened after she divorced her first husband and her dad died (she and her sisters used some of their inheritance to purchase DASH).

  32. Adrien says:

I love the styling. She’s pretty here. Not an old photo but less contouring makeup, I guess.

  33. lucy says:

    HAhaHAAAhAAAHHHAAAAAAAAAHA!

  34. Debutante says:

hahahah SO many innocent people would be in jail !

  35. Leigh says:

Without even reading more than this headline, all I have to say is AHAHHHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHA!!

  36. Meadow says:

True story : I have an American friend who was at school with Kim (different year). Kim refused to go to career advice meetings because she said ‘I don’t need a career, I’m going to marry a millionaire’. Pretty much the same for anything other than the most basic education as well.

  37. sauvage says:

Of course she would. As other commenters have pointed out, that’s why she was busy in college, getting a science degree, when she started hanging out with Paris Hilton. Oh, wait….

  38. madmenluv says:

    umm…sure Jan

  39. Nik says:

She looks good. She had someone that actually knows how to apply makeup and not that plaster atrocity she normally has

  40. Asha says:

I truly believe she’s become ashamed of that huge growth she calls an ass. She’s been covering it up a lot lately!

    • MiniMii says:

The giant ass look is getting old, so perhaps she’s hiding it while waiting for it to deflate a bit. We’ve gone through the giant fake boobs phase (now passé), and I think we’re coming to the end of era of the giant fake ass, so it will be interesting to see what comes next.

And there will be something, count on it. All those Hollywood plastic surgeons gotta keep fleecing the sheep and keep that cash rolling in!

  41. Reece says:

*reads the post title* I’m sorry, what? No, no you wouldn’t. Full Stop.

  42. marjiscott says:

You know Kim, you can always play a forensic investigator on CSI or something..Kanye can play a fashion designer/rap artist that got famous for knowing Anna Wintour at Vogue… no,… that would too weird! LOL

  43. MiniMii says:

I guess she was too busy to show up for the photo shoot, so they took photos from a few faces ago and slapped them on some models body. A few dozen photoshop tweaks later and …ta da!

  44. Velvet Elvis says:

All I can visualize is Kim taking selfies with the victims before she bags their hands to preserve evidence, taking notes about the lack of a good manicure.

  45. Dr. Funkenstein says:

She knows you’d have to be willing to read a book to do that, right?
