These are photos of Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry on a yacht in Cannes over the weekend. The yacht is owned by a Russian investment banker named Roman Abramovich, it’s reportedly worth $1.5 billion and is equipped with a movie theater, hair salon and swimming pool. It looks like Korlando is unbroken and that Katy has forgiven Orlando after he looked incredibly cosy with his ex-fling, Selena Gomez, in Las Vegas last week. Following the release of those photos of Selena hanging all over Orlando at a club, Katy tweeted a link to Peggy Lee’s 1969 hit “Is That All There Is?” That’s a song of loss following a fire, and while it can be interpreted several ways it seemed like Katy had come to a realization about Orlando. I guess not so much, because she followed that up with this tweet touting Orlando’s charity work and telling people not to give energy to “dumb conspiracy.” Girl, there were photos!

To be fair, Orlando does seem very involved in his work with the UN, which he’s been doing for years, but he also looked pretty involved with Selena. To show that there were no hard feelings or shenanigans or whatever, Selena retweeted Katy’s message and added the clapping hands emoji.
US also had an insider quote last week claiming that “nothing happened” that night between Orlando and Selena and that, while they did leave the club together, they were there with their mutual manager, went out to get hamburgers, and then went home separately. It looks like these people are all moving on and Katy and Orlando are back together, rinse and repeat.
Radar Online is running a story claiming that Selena got flirty with Orlando on the orders of her BFF, Taylor Swift, who has a long standing feud with Katy over backup dancer poaching and the fact that John Mayer manipulated Katy longer than he did Taylor. That sounds diabolical and I wouldn’t put it past Taylor, but I doubt that Selena would do Taylor’s bidding. She seems smarter than that. Katy however, is not smart enough to realize when a guy is not a keeper. I guess Orlando is pretty awesome though compared to the John Mayer or Russell Brand.

Agreed, the worst you could say about those pictures is it was careless, thoughtless behaviour that his girlfriend ended up getting a lot of harassesment about. He should have apologised to her for that alone… And watch who he hugs in future….especially when they are 23 year olds there have been rumours about previously. You didnt have to be a rocket scientist to know what tabloids would make of that when someone snapped a pic.
I disagree with Orlando being better than Russell Brand. I think Katy was the problem in that relationship, but that is easily disguised because of Russell’s past and his current annoyingness.
Orlando is DEFINITELY an upgrade from John Mayer though.
I very much agree. Brand has his demons, but overall he is an intelligent and thoughtful man.
Orlando is no prize. He is still married, staring 40 in the face and still regularly acts a fool in public. He is somehow still coasting on the fact that he looked nice in a blond wig 15 years ago.
As far as Mayer goes, you are correct there as well. I actually had some personal interaction with him some years ago. I can’t give details because I don’t want to get sued, but let’s just say he is as bad as you would expect. I suppose it’s possible he’s matured since then, but I very much doubt it. I wouldn’t wish him on anyone.

From their body language in the photos I thought it looked harmless too! I bartended n a club and overly personal greetings are a common occurance, particularly when alcohol is involved. I feel like Orlando caught a bad break here….I mean what’s he to do? Fling her off?

You know disgusted me, though. Orlando is accused of cheating on Katy. Crickets from him. Selena tweets something. And Katy comes out tweeting in defense of Orlando. Ugh. If he cares about Katy so much, why wasn’t he the one tweeting about the misinterpreted photographs and declaring he is faithful to his girlfriend, instead of her out there doing damage control for him. Now she makes sure to have these pap photos done to show the happee, happee couple.
Have some pride, Katy. He should have been the one saying something, not you defending his honor.

Gotta agree with Colette; I don’t recall Orlando EVER making public statements about gossip. He’s just not on social media. Even his divorce announcement was very respectful and low-key. This guy doesn’t bother with the tabloid press.
Even if Orlando is a douche, I didn’t see the potential hook up in those photos. It more seemed to me like a conversation in a loud club between two very drunk people.
I think, sadly Katy falls in love very easily, and not always has the best choice in couples.
The qualities that bring these two together – they’re both a couple of hard partying intellectual lightweights – are what make then terrible romantic partners. I’d be less concerned with whether or not Orlando cheated so much as why is a 40 year old hanging with Selena Gomez in a Vegas club?
Many will not agree with me, but IMO even though I dont’ see those pics as any kind of hook up, I would be stark raving mad if my husband and some woman were hanging all over eachother like that – don’t care where, don’t care the circumstances, don’t care if alcohol was involved. No excuses. I don’t beleive Orly and Gomez got it on that night. I do beleive Gomez likes to play games and f–k with Katy. I also beleive Orly likes attention and does what he wants if he thinks he can get away with it. He just wasn’t into a solid hook-up that night, but flirting and playing touchy feely games don’t fly with me. Considering Gomez is rumored to be a past fling of his who happens to be bff with his girlfriends arch enemy, he shouldn’t have been anywhere near her. My conclusion is Perry has low standards and beleives what she wants to beleive.
I agree with you actually. I think we need to keep in mind celebrities don’t play to the same rules and act the way “normal” everyday people do, not to mention many of them love the drama and act like stunted children. I would have no issue believing Selena was flirting with Orlando because of Taylor and no issue believing Katy wasn’t going to let them “win” by breaking up with Orlando either. I mean maturity isn’t exactly their strong suit.
I’m always surprised when people act like the crap that goes down with celebrities doesn’t happen with non-celebrities.

I don’t know if there’s a lot of Selena fans posting but if my significant other was in these photos I wouldn’t come away with “how cute, they’re just friends”. These photos look far from just a friendship. They also left the club together so most likely they hooked up. I guess Katy thinks acting like nothing happened will make others think the same. I doubt they will stay together. Since Katy forgave him Orlando will just cheat again.
