None of the other boy models are nice to Jesus Luz

Jesus Luz
Jesus Luz is being bullied. He’s being called names, whispered about and giggled over. Then some kids started throwing water balloons at him until he fell off the big toy and scraped his knee. His emergency contact (presumably a friend of his parents since she’s their age) was called to pick him up and bandage his knees.

Alright no, but the first three things were true. Jesus is having a hard time getting along with the other male models – or rather, they’re having a hard time getting along with him. They’ve been whispering behind his back and mocking him. They think he’s just a model dilettante with a sugar mama who’s getting him work.

Jesus Luz’s lucky star may have blasted him to instant fame, but his colleagues are over him.

Madonna’s sometime-boy-toy got straight-up dissed by the other male catwalkers as he prepped for the Jeffrey Fashion Cares event last week at Espace. Says one backstage source: “None of the other models would talk to Jesus or even look at him. They were gossiping like catty girls about how they couldn’t wait for his career to fizzle out.”

But the gorgeous Brazilian had the last laugh: He walked first and kicked off the show. While hordes of guests may have come hoping for a glimpse of the Material Girl, it doesn’t bother her arm candy.
“Jesus had no career until Madonna arrived, and even if people are coming to see him because of her, he’s still going to take it,” says a snitch.

It’s no wonder Luz’s rise to fame has created so much jealousy in the modeling world. “He’s taking jobs from other models who feel they’ve worked harder and longer than he has,” says one industry insider. “Madonna has catapulted Jesus on to the world’s stage. Sure, he’s beautiful, but he wouldn’t be where he is without her.”

…It’s not just Luz’s closet that’s expanding — his ego has grown, too. “He has a big, swollen head,” says a Madonna camp pal. “Jesus was trying to charge 100K per appearance in Brazil. Friends finally sat him down and told him to get real and to stop thinking he’s the male answer to Gisele, because he isn’t.”

One of Madonna’s people responded by saying Madge hasn’t helped Jesusout at all, and with a face like his he doesn’t need it. He’s alright to look at, but I agree that he’s not the male Gisele. He’s one of those nice but bland faces. Put him in a model lineup in the next few years and I bet nine out of ten people won’t be able to recognize him. There’s nothing standout about the dude except for the lady he dates. And come on – during their off period a little while ago, did anyone even hear about the guy?

All that said, regardless of what the other boy models think, Jesus is smart to work it. But he should be doing it now and saving his money because the fame is going to die out quickly. Doing it because he thinks he’s the next biggest thing is hysterically cute, but totally wrong. Get in, work it as much as you can, piss off as many other models as you need to, and get out. Because I guarandamntee you that in nine months the only job Jesus will be able to get is as a car model. Yeah, a guy car model. Just imagine how that’ll help Detroit.

    His eyes are gorgeous.

  2. Annie says:

He’s cute. I’d let him date me.

    Well.

I would, had he not traversed the deep madge caverns already. I’ll pass.

  3. Sauronsarmy says:

Who knew male models could be jealous queens?

  4. geronimo says:

I agree with all the catty boys, he’s not model material. I don’t know what Madge sees in him. Apart from not being particularly goodlooking, he’s also got that ‘lights on but no one’s in’ thing going on.

  5. n says:

the other models should feel sorry for him. he has a steady job nobody wants — with Madonna. it’s gotta be old for him by now, but he’s stuck with it.

  6. aleach says:

    oh, hi there jesus!
i never thought he was all that special to look at before, but something about the hat makes him look maaaarvelous! wow. well, gotta give madge props on that i guess.

  7. CandyKay says:

I agree with the other girls – I think he’s quite a fox. Those blue eyes really put him over the top.

That said, the “boy models are mean to other boy models” concept sounds like a lost subplot from “Zoolander.”

  8. Arvedia says:

I think he looks stupid. For me, that´s the biggest turn-off.

  9. Larissa says:

People tend to forget he was selected to do the W shooting with Madonna because he was ALREADY a model, and he probably earned it! Ok, he was not an well known, high-paid model, but his career didn´t started because of Madonna, it´s not like she picked him out in the streets and decided to turn him into a model!
Madonna opened the doors for an international career, that´s more than obvious! He saw an opportunity and grabbed it! I wouldn´t do any differently if you ask…
talent it will only take you so far, this life is all about opportunities!

Who’d of thunk sleeping with the boss would have negative repercussions ?

  11. Buckley says:

He looks like a scared little boy..and not too smart.
    Pass!

  12. Maritza says:

He’s cute but I agree he better save his money for a rainy day cause Madonna will soon get bored with him and move on.

  13. ChristinaT says:

hasn’t this been the time honored tradition of casting fame on good looking females? what’s good for the goose…right?

  14. CandyKay says:

He reminds me a bit of a young Carlos Leon. Hey, just like Mel Gibson – she’s getting a younger version of the (ex) wife.

  15. KiriAnn says:

He’s a model and I think he knows that he has a short window to make the most out of his career. The other male models are jealous of his luck.
