Katherine Heigl’s Dream Wedding

Katherine Heigl is set to marry her fiance, singer Josh Kelly, in a romantic intimate wedding in Utah on December 23rd. She owns land in Utah and plans to have the celebration in a big tent on her property. Her co-stars from Grey’s Anatomy will attend the two-day party, and guests will stay at a resort nearby:

Katie owns a remote piece of property in rural Utah, and she thinks it’s an ideal spot for her to walk down the aisle,” a close source told The Enquirer.

“She doesn’t want a typical Hollywood wedding in a posh hotel. She wants it to be intimate, personal and most of all, romantic. The plans are to erect a tend on the grounds of her property, fill it with flowers and candles, and be surrounded by the people who mean the most to her.”

The wedding will be a two day celebration that will include skiing as well as a ceremony and reception. Guests will stay at a nearby resort and will be shuttled back and forth to their secluded Utah compound. Kate Walsh, T.R. Knight, Ellen Pompeo and Ellen’s fiance Christopher Ivery will be in the wedding party.

That sounds lovely and much more practical than Eva Longoria’s ridiculous wedding. Hopefully she’ll have a better solution for heating the tent than those big space heaters they use outdoors. I’m sure they can have it outfitted with a heating system and electricity so it’s not that much different than an indoor party.

Heigl met her future husband in 2005 when she was appearing in his video for “Only You.”

The article goes on to say that Isaiah Washington, long on Heigl’s shit list, will predictably not be invited.
