I haven’t been able to stop thinking about my email since your comments yesterday; this awful case has triggered so many awful and helpless feelings, and now all I can think is that I made things worse for her and wasted precious time, and what an idiot I am for trying to help a famous stranger at all, and that others wasted time on something unhelpful. My empathy can be crippling at times and I wish I could undo it.
You mentioned others needed the same advice, but I never saw anything about contacting lawyers with tips, and I’ve been following these stories closely. Not sure how I missed your previous comments, but I’ll try to pay more attention from now on.
