Dina Eastwood married the ex husband of her ex husband Clint’s ex girlfriend

dinaeastwoodmarried
It’s been almost three years since we talked about Dina Eastwood in any capacity. At that time it was because she was dating a handsome silver fox basketball coach, Scott Fisher, who happened to be an old college friend. Fischer was also the ex husband of a woman her then-estranged husband, Clint Eastwood, was dating during their separation. People Magazine, which seemed to get their news from Dina, reported that Dina had first reached out to Scott, who was also separated, but that the two were just friends for a while. Then Scott’s estranged wife, Erica, tried to give Clint the heads up that there was something going on between their spouses (which Dina denies was anything more than friendship) which was how Clint and Erica started dating. When Dina got word that Clint was with Erica she officially filed for divorce, after already having announced a separation. Either Dina and Scott were together too at that point or news of their estranged spouses’ relationship pushed them to the next level. I would assume Dina and Scott have been together for the last three years because they just got married. Clint and Erica did not last however.

From wife swap to wedding! Clint Eastwood’s ex-wife Dina Eastwood married her fiance, basketball coach Scott Fisher, on Saturday, July 2.

So far, so easy! But the plot thickens when we remind you that Fisher (a long-time pal of Dina’s and a coach for the University of Hawaii) used to be married to Erica Tomlinson-Fisher – the very woman that Clint Eastwood first dated after news of his 17-year marriage ending became public, back in 2013!

At that time, a source told Us Weekly that Dina started “casually dating” Fisher when her actor ex started dating his ex-wife!

But while Clint’s romance with Erica fizzled, Dina and Scott’s relationship went from strength to strength. And three years later, their “casual dating” has resulted in a wedding – and a very beautiful one at that.

A source confirms to Us that the happy couple tied the knot at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara in front of family and friends. Dina’s beloved pugs were part of the ceremony and the couple said, ‘I do’ in front of the Pacific Ocean.

[From US Magazine]

I was about to yell at Dina for not posting any photos of her pugs at the wedding but she did come through and post some! These photos are giving me life. In fact her whole Instagram is full of photos of her ridiculously cute pugs so I think that’s the takeaway here, she met a guy who also loves her dogs. (Incidentally, Clint is dating another animal lover at this point, a 51 year-old woman named Christina Sandera.) Congratulations to Dina and Scott!

Oh my pug! There's NO PLACE LIKE HOME! #mutherpuggers #harley #chica #seniorangels #seniorsenioritas #puggushuggus

    exciting!

  2. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Congrats. Odd that he looks incredible from one angle and unattractive from his right profile, but I guess she can just turn his head to suit herself. What’s with the tongues on those pugs?

    • Margo S. says:

The left side of his face is literally a completely different person then the right side! So weird.

    • Crumpet says:

They forgot to breed shorter tongues to do with their faces?

Regarding the pugs of course. I have no idea about HIS face.

    • MsGoblin says:

And why is he wearing dark brown shoes with that cream-colored suit? Is that a fashion trend?

    • the_blonde_one says:

they likely have lost their teeth. small dogs (certain breeds anyway) are VERY prone to tooth loss as they age. Then there’s nothing holding the tongue in.

    • I Choose Me says:

…but I guess she can just turn his head to suit herself.

LMAO. Thank you GNAT for my first chuckle of the day.

  3. manda says:

Wow time flies anymore, I guess because I’m older? I would have said that she and clint just split up like last year. Not that I really follow them, but still. Time just flies!

  4. CK says:

I wonder if they left a chair empty for Clint (to talk to) at the wedding.

  5. Jayna says:

As her stepdaughter and daughter got older, needing her less, but her daughter still in school at the time, she seemed very lonely, since he was always off making movies. From her twitter and photos, these two seem like a great couple. She looks very pretty in the wedding photo.

Clint’s current girlfriend has a volatile past with her drinking issues. Hopefully, she is past all that.

After Clint broke up with the ex-wife of Dina’s boyfriend, Clint actually bought that woman a nice home, which is out of character for Clint. They weren’t together all that long after his split from Dina, like maybe just a year, when he moved on to the hostess of his restaurant and is living wiht her.

    • Michelleb says:

I watched a few episodes of her reality show. Was it 2011-ish? I got that impression too, that she seemed lonely.

      • stinky says:

        she was HORRID tho …
        She was vile!
The dogs s/b on a diet (obviously), and thats that.

  6. Ally8 says:

Mazeltov, esp. to Dina on her upgrade! On a celebitchier note, this reminds me of Shania Twain’s and her ex-husband’s narrow dating/cheating pool.

Also, pugs have a hard enough time breathing without allowed to get that pudgy (pugdy?). Did they not follow a wedding diet plan?

    • Nancy says:

Oh I never felt so bad for anyone. He was such a sneaky rat to Shania and with her best friend. I don’t understand how people can be so cruel.

    • Sullivan says:

That’s what I was thinking. The pugs are seriously overweight. Oh, no, am I fat-shaming them?

      • Wren says:

If you are then I’ll join you. I hate seeing obese animals because it’s not really that difficult to keep them in good weight. Maintaining good body condition (not too thin or too fat) drastically reduces the number of potential health issues, meaning a happier, more comfortable animal and fewer vet bills.

My favorite trick is adding water to kibble. You soak the dry kibble in warm water for ~30 minutes until it’s all puffed up and a bit sloppy. The dog thinks they’re getting this vast amount of food but in reality it’s not that much. It’s also great for breeds prone to bloat. My dog was starting to look a tad too round so I started feeding him less but adding a lot more water, sweet boy thinks he’s getting SO MUCH FOOD it’s win-win.

      • Kitten says:

That’s a good idea, Wren. The water content probably helps them stay fuller and more hydrated, too.

      • Wren says:

My husband’s family always had Boxers, who are deep chested and prone to bloat, and they always soaked the dog kibble. I thought it was a great idea, easier on the teeth, won’t choke them if they hork it down quickly, and another avenue for hydration. My dog thorough enjoys his daily slop and doesn’t beg for more when he’s done. It makes them so full and happy thinking they just got gigantic meal.

  7. Naya says:

Upgrade. Hopefully he has none of Clints sadistic traits.

    • FingerBinger says:

Clint Eastwood had 2 kids with another woman while he was with Sondra Locke. She knew what she was getting.

    • ladybosca says:

Hi guys! I can’t/won’t knock two grown people that want to be locked in wedlock c
They seem to be truly happy.
With all the bull sh*t I the world, More power.

  8. Jen43 says:

They look gorgeous together. I wish them well.

  9. Nancy says:

They must have interesting Thanksgiving dinners. I’m still a bit confused by it all but wish them well.

  10. Micki says:

I am torn about her outfit because I don’t like strapless dresses/tops. But it suits her .

On another topic:I can never get the notion to take one’s pets at a wedding let alone being “bridesmaids”.
I love all my pets-deceased and alive alike but have never tried to turn them into humans with fancy clothes, ribbons, shoes or else.

    • Chloeee says:

Morgy is her daughter. Ergo, her daughters tweet loling at the reporter who thinks a dog named Morgy was the MoH at her moms wedding. Just an oddly worded IG caption on Dinas part

    • Jayna says:

I hate and don’t get clothes on dogs. But I have to say my nephew has a pug, and the little dog goes crazy when he sees a new outfit or hat in his owner’s hands. He can barely contain his excitement until they put it on him. Once they put it on him, he prances like like he’s a star. The little pug does love his outfits. I wouldn’t be caught dead putting an outfit on my dog. Each to his own, I guess.

      • Michelleb says:

For me, it depends on the dog and the situation. My dogs have sweaters that they wear in the winter to go out, and little booties when it is really cold. But, I live in Northern Ontario and they need extra help to stay warm in the winter when they go out. I got them used to wearing sweaters and booties as puppies, so they don’t mind them at all.

But, just putting clothing on dogs because it’s “cute”? No, I don’t agree with that at all.

      • Jayna says:

@Michelleb, yeah, I wasn’t referring to winter stuff. I get that.

      • Micki says:

@Michelleb: I’ve never had small dogs, so I can’t say a thing. Our late dog was mid size (think schnauzer size) and I bought first wintercoat when she was 15 y.-old because she’s growing thinner with age and obviously couldn’t get warm when we took her for a walk. I was refering to the fancy outfits, sometimes matching ones! This wedding ones that have to practical purpose apart from making the dogs “cuter”.
I also hate when dogs get their fur dyed and dog collars with fake diamonds and before I forget dogs and cats weddings in human ourfits.
For me it’s stripping animals of dignity.

      • michelleb says:

It just infuriates me to see dogs with their fur dyed. There are just no excuses for it. It is terrible pet-parenting. The last time I was in the GTA, I saw a mini poodle with the blue maple leaf dyed on their back …

My dogs are little and I never take them into largely crowded situations or around too many strange people. They are well socialised and enjoy their time in parks. They have puppy playdates with some friend’s dogs, but they get very nervous in crowds. It’s not fair to them. But, all dogs are different, so perhaps Dina’s are not so exciteable.

      • bluhare says:

Agree with everyone. Hate fur dying, and weird grooming in general. Our JRT loved his winter coat, though. Loved having it on because (a) he was going for a walk, and (b) because he hated being cold. When he got home he would sit waiting for his heated towel.

Nope. Not spoilt at all. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Wren says:

Some dogs just bathe in that kind of attention and excitement. Others would rather die than be part of that circus. If it’s the former, I see no reason not to include them. It’s silly but harmless as long as someone is making sure that the dog isn’t getting overwhelmed. And takes them out for appropriate bathroom breaks.

      • Micki says:

I always feel sorry for animals being taken to huge human gatherings. The big races (usually trained ones) look calmer but with many (mid size) you can tell they are on the edge. Many bark, some attack other small/smaller dogs, it’s stress for the owner especially when there are small children, who invariably think ALL dogs have to be petted! I was always against taking our dog to a restaurant for example.
It was unavoidable only once in all her 17 years.

    • Micki says:

@bluehare: Please, explain the heated towel. Is it a kind of electrical blanket you plug in or you preheat it before the walk?
We have a scandinavian wood stove and all the pets distribute themselves orderly around it.
Alex (the older cat) used to get under it among the logs and keep quiet while you get crazy looking for him.

  11. Georgia says:

    her dogs are adorable!

  12. Dangles says:

Who. That’s right. Was the ex of Kevin Bacon.

  13. Alexis says:

    She’s really pretty. That’s all i got.

  14. OTHER RENEE says:

Adorable couple. Dina and her new husband look nice too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. Common Sense says:

    I’m confused, so many exes…

    • HK9 says:

I know. I needed a flow chart to follow the trail of the exes but eventually I figured it out and I wish them well. They look happy.

  16. LAK says:

This reads like the plot of IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE.

  17. Julie says:

Is she still calling herself Diana Eastwood?

  18. I Choose Me says:

Aww I love pugs but I’m concerned that her babies are overweight. A lot of people tend to overfeed small dogs which can be seriously detrimental to their health.

  19. lassie says:

Is she standing on her dress? It looks like she needs it to be hemmed.

  20. Melody says:

Same thing happened with Shania Twain – partner swap!

  21. NeoCleo says:

    I think he’s really handsome.

  22. Michelle says:

Ally8 and Melody, yes! The same thing happened with Shania…only I think her then-husband, Mutt Lange was actually having an affair and she was blindsided. Also the woman was her friend, if I’m not mistaken.

As for Dina….love her wedding look. And I love that she listed where she got it from. They look happy together. <3

  23. SusanneToo says:

Aaaaw, hope the little pug is doing alright now. And congrats to Dina and Scott.

  24. Kitten says:

Pugs remind me of Scottish Folds (smush face) so I love them. They also sit on their butts the way Folds so.

These guys do seem a bit chubby though. I would think it might be difficult to manage their weight as Pugs are not as active as some dog breeds.

I started making a conscientious effort to play every night (laser toy is his favorite) with my younger boy cat so he gets some exercise. He’s a “beefy dude” as my vet tech says ๐Ÿ˜‰

  25. DrunkNachos says:

I worked with Dina in her pre-Clint days at KSBW TV and she was one of the nicest, funniest, real-est (is that a word? IDK) people around. Mind, this was 25 years ago, but she left a great impression on me! So glad she’s found her happiness!

    • stinky says:

oh wow – thats nice to hear cuz i saw some of her reality show and couldnt stand her … she came across as classless to me… but i realize the editing of these shows can really sway perceptions. i was snarky above but i’ll take what you shared w/ a grain of salt and shut it!

  26. Bread and Circuses says:

I tangentially knew two couples who were all friends until one of the husbands decided he liked the other wife better, and could probably seduce her, and he turned out to be right.

So they ran off together, and good riddance.

After a while, the two left behind did wind up dating each other, temporarily–but I honestly think it was just that this friend of theirs was the one person in the world who understood EXACTLY how badly it all hurt. They didn’t have a romantic bond so much as an emotional catastrophe in common. That relationship didn’t last, but I won’t judge them for the fact it happened. They needed someone kind and understanding, and there was no one who could be more understanding than the other person whose marriage was wrecked by that same betrayal.

I suspect Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton had a similar dynamic, at least going into the relationship. It’s not a bad foundation to a relationship, to start with sincere empathy.

  27. serena says:

And yet she still keeps the ‘Eastwood’ surname..

    • stinky says:

      mm.

    • Shiba says:

Many women with children keep their ex- husbands last name so that the ‘family’ name does not change i.e. mother and kids still share common last name.

  28. Ashley says:

oh man – I didn’t even know Dina and Clint had broken up! I had an unhealthy obsession with that random reality show she had with the acapella group a few years back hahaha

  29. MyLittlePony says:

Oh, those little puggers! My heart melts at the sight of a pug, so she gets a pass in my books for practically everything. I have been following her Instagram for a while now because of those pugs, and realized only now that she’s Clint’s ex wife ๐Ÿ˜€

  30. holly hobby says:

I like how she didn’t blow millions of dollars on her wedding. Her post on her wedding outfit credits reminds me of what regular brides did on their Knot postings.
