People: Rihanna & Drake ‘get more serious when they’re in the same place’

Here are some photos of Rihanna in London late Friday night/early Saturday morning. Her ensemble in these photos is Balmain, and the dress is woven leather. The shoes are Dsquared2. Like almost everything she wears, I feel like only Rihanna can make this look good. Rihanna was leaving Tape nightclub with Drake, although they didn’t leave at the exact same time, meaning they didn’t get photographed in the same frame. But it was actually Drake and Rihanna’s fourth night out together in one week, which means there’s renewed speculation about the state of their relationship. Back in May, we heard that Rih and Drake might be happening, this time FOR REAL, but those rumors just sort of faded away in a week. Now People Magazine says it’s once again FOR REAL.

Looks like Rihanna and Drake have found a way to make it “work, work, work, work, work.” Sources tell PEOPLE the couple are back together! Things looked to be over for the long-rumored pair, after Drake was spotted “getting cozy” with model Hailey Baldwin at his Memorial Day party back in June. But a source tells PEOPLE Baldwin wasn’t in the picture for long.

“Hailey was a fling, but Drake has always wanted to make things work with Rihanna,” the insider said.

“They are still dating,” the source added, of Rihanna and Drake. “Things get more serious when they’re in the same place.”

Drake, 29, dropped in on his 28-year-old boo on Wednesday, at her Manchester concert. The duo performed their collaboration together “Work”, where the Barbadian beauty once again gyrated on her beau.

“Shout out to the most beautiful, talented woman I’ve ever seen,” Drake told the crowd, as captured on social media. “She goes by the name of Rihanna.. I’m getting my heart broken.”

Afterwards, the pair were spotted separately leaving an after party. They were also photographed separately in the early hours of Wednesday morning, leaving Nicole Scherzinger’s birthday party at London’s Tape Nightclub.

“Things get more serious when they’re in the same place.” THAT IS NOT DATING. It’s hooking up. Don’t get me wrong, Drake has real feelings for Rihanna and he would do anything for her, and I do believe he would love for Rihanna to be his super-official girlfriend. But he settles for “a friends-with-benefits relationship when they’re both in the same city.”

Sources also tell E! News that Drake “still loves her and never stopped. Rihanna is the one that’s been not wanting to settle down in the past.” Yeah, no joke. The thing is… I don’t know if I would even want to see what an official relationship would look like between these two. I respect Rihanna for making Drake come to her and for doing the relationship on her terms completely.

I don’t understand her new music video.

    • Naya says:

Which one? The one where she is topless and grinding on Drake or the one where she is topless and shooting some dude who is already being smothered by large wedgied asses?

  2. Michelleb says:

Rihanna is a beautiful woman, but even she cannot make that outfit work. But, I hate Balmain, so I’m biased.

    • Nancy says:

I love her outfit, from the dress to the coat, purse, shoes, all the way down to her white toenail polish. She looks beautiful in baby blue. But I’m biased as well, I love her ever changing style. My only critique is when she wears the see through tops with no bra, that’s a look I don’t like on anyone. She’s still a Goddess though…..how about Drake’s pink shoes….lol, he is so opposite of her, maybe that’s why they work work work together so well!

      • Michelleb says:

I think the colour is beautiful on her too, but I just don’t like the outfit at all.
For whatever reason, I root for her with Drake. I like them together. 🙂 I have a soft spot for the both of them though.

  3. Nancy says:

Rihanna is the anti Taylor. She’s not on a mission to show us how loved she is. She does her thing and nobody ever knows for certain if they are together. It’s pretty obvious with Wheelchair Jimmy, he’s smitten. Don’t know about RiRi. she obviously cares about him, but who knows if he is her Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now. I’m kind of rooting for this relationship. She has said her grandmother said the man should always be just a bit more in love than you are. Mission accomplished……I think!

    • Lucy says:

This! I know she doesn’t see herself as a role model in the sense that she knows not The Perfect Sweet and Nice Girl, but in a way, I do admire for that.

    • Naya says:

I like that she is the anti Taylor, we dont all need to ride off into the sunset with our corny love. But I also think she toys with Drake. And she has been doing it back from the Chris Brown Part 2 days where she would have a tiff with a dbag bf, unfollow him and follow Drake on twitter in the middle of the night just to piss CB off. By the next evening she has made up with him and is in the club somewhere, meanwhile you just know Drake is home weeping into his glass of marlot.

Sometimes the other party is too desparate to realise that you really mean it when you say “just friends”. When you (and the whole world) know that he takes the crumbs in hopes of something much more, its downright cruel to keep coming back to break his heart. I hate it when guys do it and theres nothing progressive about a girl doing it either.

      • Noname says:

I am not sure I like her, period. Yes, she’s the anti-Taylor and that appeals to many but Rihanna is a troubled person.

      • HH says:

@Naya – I don’t think she’s toying with Drake. I just think they both have needs and it’s nice that they’re with another celebrity and don’t have to worry about what that individual will say/leak to the press. I think they find a convenience and safety with each other. ETA – Also, judging by how long Drake and CB kept that fight going by themselves (i.e. when Ri was off touring unbothered by either of them), I think Drake enjoyed toying with CB just as much.

@Noname – Why do you think she’s troubled? I got that impression around the time after the Chris Brown incident and a year or so afterwards. But I think she rebounded well.

      • Nancy says:

HH: Same. I think it took her a long time to heal emotionally from Brown. It appeared as though she had pity for him and hence the second try. Thank goodness she left him for good. But, like you, I don’t understand her being troubled now. She’s a tough cookie.

      • Naya says:

Drake has made it clear that he wants a relationship not a f*ck buddy. He makes it clear in his lyrics, in interviews and most recently in a concert. He accepts the crumbs she offers because its better than nothing and “who knows what it could turn into”.

His position isnt unique although in the real world its usually the guy that strings the girl along this way. I just think that you shouldnt use somebody with genuine feelings and relationship intentions to scratch your physical itches or lift your ego for a few weeks (she hasnt had a great month with the crying in concert and the poor concert attendance that went viral). Is DiCaprio or any of her other rappers not available to help out with that? This is wrong and cruel.

      • HH says:

@Naya- But does he want a relationship with her? (Although, my logical reaction is who wouldnt?) Maybe they feel that they are best as fwb, particularly due to their schedules. I guess I just have a hard time seeing either of them playing games with each other (and for this long) when they could both have anyone they’d like.

  4. Colette says:

That’s funny because E just had an article recently saying Nicki is the “only woman” Drake ever wanted.

  5. HH says:

This may be the most fan girl thing I’ll ever say, but I can’t really think of anyone good enough for Rihanna.

    • Lucy says:

She deserves a great guy. If Drake happens to be that guy, then so be it.

    • Mike says:

So by your logic she should be alone forever or have to “settle” for somebody that is not good enough for her? Not great choices

      • michelleb says:

I don’t see how you jumped to that conclusion from HH’s comment.

      • HH says:

        @michelleb – Ha. Right.

@Mike – Not at all what I was saying. I’m just saying that I can’t think of anyone that matches her greatness. Clearly, I just I like Rihanna and that was partially meant as a tongue-in-cheek comment. She can be with whomever she pleases. If he’s a good guy that treats her well, that’s great.

  6. Lynnie says:

Something about Drake annoys me. I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it’s all the hype or the fact that Views wasn’t that great in comparison to the praise he’s getting. There’s just something so basic about him.

I hope that if Rihanna leaves him again he finally admits to himself that it’s not meant to be and calls it a day. There’s only so many times you can let someone toy with your feelings like that

  7. scootypuffjr says:

I think Riri has some kind of genuine feelings for Drake, but she doesn’t want to settle down or get too comfortable. Hence, the extended hook-ups. Maybe one of these days she’ll give him a real shot.

  8. iseepinkelefants says:

I don’t think it’s hard to make Drake work for it. No offense to him and this is not a slight in the least because he seems to actually respect women but I’m sure it’s not hard to make him do things on your terms. He’s probably more than happy to come running when she calls

  9. WTF says:

I think Drake’s love-puppy act is just that, an act. Think about it. He also did this love puppy thing for that stripper a few years ago. When it didn’t work out, he dogged her out on his next album. I think he makes things too public for Rhi’s taste, and I think she is hip to his game.

  10. Tisha says:

Am I the only one who hates this pairing? There’s something so unnerving about the both of them hooking up.
