E!: Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston ‘both feel their connection is rare’

wenn22817093

I have to eat my words on this one: I thought The Great & Glorious Tiddleshagging of 2016 meant that Taylor Swift was in a new phase, a new era of her brand. I thought she was moving away from faux-feminism and girl squads and moving towards ALL TIDDLES, ALL THE TIME. But she was just easing Tom Hiddleston into meeting the squad. First she introduced him to Selena Gomez, arguably her closest celebrity friend. She also introduced him to her non-famous friend, Abigail. Then she let Tom rest for a week or so before she introduced him to the whole squad during her Fourth of July party. So did the squad approve of Hiddles?

Taylor Swift’s annual get together wasn’t just a chance for her gal pals to play poolside, it was the perfect opportunity for her squad to meet her better half.

“Tom has met all of Taylor’s best friends at this point in their relationship,” an insider tells E! News. “They all really like Tom and like how he treats Taylor. Things are moving fast between them but none of her friends are worried because they never have seen her this happy.”

Our source adds that the new couple “both feel that their connection is rare.”

[From E! News]

For what it’s worth, Selena wasn’t in Rhode Island this weekend, but I don’t think it matters because Selena already met Tom in Nashville, correct? As for the rest of Taylor’s squad… Karlie Kloss was there, and Karlie and Taylor are obviously pretty close. But the rest of the people at the party don’t really sound like Taylor’s core group. I mean, Gigi Hadid? Gigi and Taylor are friendly, but they’re not BFFs (and Bella Hadid was in Paris this weekend, so NO SQUAD FOR HER). Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are not BFFs with Swifty, and my guess is that Ryan especially barely knows Taylor. Ruby Rose, Uzo Aduba and Cara Delevingne aren’t particularly close to Swifty either.

Still, the squad approves! And the girls recognize that it’s a miracle that Taylor Swift found this “rare connection” with a thirsty, extra, throw-caution-and-reason-to-wind dude who actively wants to be pap’d with her. It’s a fairy tale!

They HAVE to be trolling at this point right?? Like are they clueless/in their bubble enough to not realize how desparate they seem?? She and calvin literally just broke up – why parade your relationship around when you barely know the person?? She must be surrounded by yes women (and men?). Ugh i knew swifty and calvin’s breakup would deliver drama but this is exhausting. Also calvin is a tool/famewhore as well but he defintiely dodged a bullet here

    • CornyBlue says:

I saw someone say that she is being ridiculous with this so as to surpass any kind of press she would have gotten from the Kanye video. Seems kind of legit.

      • V4Real says:

        I agree

      • Clémence says:

Yeah i think that too and i really hope kim and kanye will talk about her always the victim way ! I never thought i will ever say that !

      • OhDear says:

And then Lainey had to call them the twee version of Kim and Kanye, tee hee hee hee hee.

    • Michelleb says:

      I wish they were trolling.
The second-hand embarrassment from this twee and try-hard tour of love …

    • KHLBHL says:

There was some article on Buzzfeed recently that claimed that Tiddles is an elaborate piece of performance art, that they are filming a new music video for a new single that will drop sometime this fall (coinciding with the Emmys). The writers of this article dared to compare Tiddles and this supposed “performance art” to the beauty and authenticity that is Lemonade. Swifties *wish* this Tiddlesbanging was performance art or trolling, because they too are starting to realize how ridiculous it is. They are desperate for any sort of explanation. But to compare it to Lemonade? Fie, I say! Fie on them.

    • C says:

They must be trolling cause this is beyond ridiculous.

  2. KJ says:

I’ve never felt, for the lack of a better word, a ladyboner for a celebrity disappear so quickly. Oh Hiddles…

    • Michelleb says:

      LOL. Same.

    • frisbee says:

We will light a sacrificial pyre for dead ladyboners everywhere, we will wear fake heart tattoos until our tears make them run down our arms. We will wear tshirts with the legend ‘I loved TH – no more’, we will wail and gnash our teeth and then we’ll all have a nice cup of tea. We will throw the T shirts onto the pyre and watch the flames dance into the night. We will put the ladyboners to bed with class and dignity and then we will PRAY that this bonfire of the vanities never ever ends…

      • Evie says:

LMAO! Omg the visual of this actually happening is a gift to my soul

      • Lilacflowers says:

Dearest Frisbee, you win all the chocolate today

      • I Choose Me says:

LMBAO. My co-worker is looking at me funny , I belly laughed so hard just now.
        Perfect comment is perfect.

    • Sixer says:

Yes, but think of it this way: the ladyboner has been replaced with something infinitely better. To whit: The Great Tiddleshagging of 2016. Strapline: no depth left unplumbed.

You can get a ladyboner in dozens of other places, but there’s only one Tiddleshagging.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

I think the unintended comedy of this pairing of two unadulterated famewhores who CANNOT KEEP IT OUT OF THE GOSSIP RAGS FOR EVEN A MINUTE is waaaaaaay better than lady boner material. Personally I thought Hiddles was pretty lame in that area anyway.

I agree with Sixer: there is no shortage of genuinely hot guys out there. Tiddles is surreal.

    • cyn says:

When I saw the pictures yesterday, I literally threw my phone. Once the shock wore off, I picked up the phone once more and looked at the glorious “I heart TS” white tank and faux tattoo and began laughing hysterically. In my mind I imagined what the phone call might sound like if Hiddleston were real and we were friends in real life.
Tom: Hello. Hiddleswift Manor. This is Tom.
      Me: (Laughing hysterically)
Tom: Cynthia, I know that this is you.
Me: (Gasping for air while cackling like a demented person)
      Tom: Oh! Do grow up!
Me: (Finally somewhat composed) Me grow up? Dude, you’re wearing a shirt made for adolescents with a fake tat going to Selena Gomez concerts. (Collapses laughing again) You look like someone’s dad wandered into the party. Speaking of that, you do realize that you start filming soon in a tight leather costume. Loki doesn’t have dad bod!!!! Loki is hot!! I swear to God if you ruin him…
      Tom: I am Loki!!!!!
Me: No, you’re not. You used to be. Now, you’re just Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.

      • JWQ says:

The idea of him answering the phone with “Hiddleswift Manor”, like any honorable (British) butler would do, is AWESOME! Especially because, unlike the butler, he would be dead serious and completely unironical. I love that picture!

      • Liberty says:

        ha! fantastic 🙂

      • Wood Dragon says:

I could just hear his voice too! Excellent!

    • popup says:

Same here, but it’s better this way. I was always slightly embarrassed by my affection for Hiddles. I could love him one minute but have to look away the next. Now that he’s fully unleashed his uncoolness for the masses, I’ve been released from my awkward celebrity crush and can now settle into the more comfortable routine of laughing hysterically at this situation.

HAHA @cyn. Yes! He IS the friend you constantly take the piss out of! I want to imagine that every “strong female” in his life is doing this to him right now. His sisters, Jessica Chastain, his mom, Tilda Swinton, etc. etc.

    • DrunkNachos says:

Yep, mine has retracted into my body.

  3. Skins says:

Neither of them has ever felt like this before

    • Aussie girl says:

How comfortable are they…? Have either broke wind/ farted in front of each other yet.? Seriously I was wondering because they have shared sooo much time together in the last few weeks and probably shared a hotel room and bathroom also on her jet. Do you think she has had a bowel movement around him? She really seems the type that would hold it in for days.
God how did I get to this?? Look what they are doing to me…. Ha!

      • CooCoo Catchoo says:

So true! Pooping within earshot of your beloved means the relationship is real real!

      • AG-UK says:

@Aussie you have me rolling I almost spat out my water.. She probably would hold it and almost bust a gut but she has such big houses if she can break free of handholding she could disappear into one of her 10-12 bathrooms. But who knows maybe he’d like to sit or kneel next to her holding her hand 🙂

      • shelly says:

Re: Wind problems, She probably blames it on the cats.

      • Lana 567 says:

They both seem eager soo maybe they are suited to each other.

      • Cecilia says:

        @Aussie girl
Re: “She really seems like the type that would hold it in for days.”

Well, that would certainly explain any bump – not a baby just constipation!!!

Oh, my late lamented Tom, do you not see how you’ve let your fans down that we stoop to poop and fart jokes* at your expense?

        *More please!!!

    • cyn says:

I will agree that their connection is rare. In fact, I think that it is a miracle that these two have found each other. They are true soulmates. Just think about it, they have been looking for one another all along. She wants the perfect gentleman with the right pedigree and correct accent to show off and prove how special she is. She got the internet’s perfect husband. He wanted someone to help get him into the popular clique and all the perks of the A-list. He wanted to be legit famous. Not just Internet famous. He wanted someone as corny as he is and she might be more so. Add in that they are both thirstier than the Sahara and you have a perfect storm of famewhorey awkwardness. Unfortunately for them both, there is a reason for the old saying to be careful what you wish for. Sometimes what we want isn’t what we need.

  4. Mia4s says:

AHAHAHAHAHA!! Oh they are the gift that keeps on giving! Hey maybe Hiddles will get a Teen Choice Award! Wouldn’t that be exciting! 😂

    • Sixer says:

Think of the acceptance speech! I remember the other one – MTV, was it? It would be that plus orders of magnitude.

      • DrunkNachos says:

Ahhh, yes Miss Hiddles’ acceptance speech for that was more elaborate and emotional than Redmayne’s for his Oscar, FFS!! Way to go King of Twee!

      • Mia4s says:

Had to google this. Best Villain at the MTV movie awards. I didn’t make it even half way through the speech, the second-hand embarrassment was killing me! Honey it’s a sketchily voted publicity stunt, not a Nobel prize! 😂

  5. meme says:

ahhh true love. married and pregnant in less than a year.

  6. Lilacflowers says:

She has met none of his friends. She has not met his father. She has not been to his home. It is all about her.

But whatever. Pass the pitcher of mimosas

    • meme says:

she met his mom and siblings or whoever those people were on the England Beach Stroll section of their tour.

      • Lilacflowers says:

He has a father. She did not meet his father. She has not been to his house. She has not met his friends

      • bonzo says:

True. Right now, he’s been sucked into her world and has lost himself in it. With the exception of the brief visit with his mum & sisters, TayTay hasn’t been brought in to his world at all. He’s the one doing all the adjusting and changing for the other in this relationship.

At some point, *most* people get to the place where they miss being their real selves and begin to push back against conforming to someone else and being immersed into their world. It will happen with Tom too at some point and how she reacts will determine their longevity.

    • Lisa says:

No, I think she met his friends in Nashville for dinner. I remember seeing pictures on Lainey Gossip.

      • Lilacflowers says:

They met Holly Williams, Hank’s daughter. She has not met any of his friends from England

    • MI6 says:

@ Lilac: Noticed that sister Emma, who is an actress and could’ve benefited from the media exposure, steered clear of the Beach Pap Walk. Good for her. And I’m quite sure on some level all this Extra is about proving his father wrong (or finally getting his attention/approval). #armchairpsychology
Do you have peach bellinis, per chance? I could use a pitcher.

      • Lilacflowers says:

        Noticed that too. Bellinid!

      • Meee4 says:

I still also wonder how much convincing it took for older sister to let her child be pap’d (complete with the piggyback Taylor wished were her). I can imagine the promises made that it wouldn’t be so bad. I hope she just complied to keep little brother happy.

    • Belle Epoch says:

She seems like a stalker more than a girlfriend. RIDICULOUS display by both of them. The breakup will be embarrassing and quickly replaced with other distractions.

      • Mira says:

He seems perfectly happy to me. This stalker scenario may fit with some of her other boyfriends. But with Hiddleston it seems a tad misogynistic to say such a thing. I think its clear both of them enjoy these types of public displays.

      • twilly says:

Where was Sarah’s husband. I read she’s back living in London.

    • Nicole says:

Isn’t it always all about her? I called the next step being the squad dropping quotes about them so right on schedule.

I can’t stop myself from laughing with each new article. There are no words for how enjoyable this is *grabs a mimosa*

      • bonzo says:

She’s the bigger celebrity. She’s the one that sells the story. Most people don’t know who Tom is or anything about him.

This may change in a week, but what I noticed is that here in the States is that gossip rags are relegating them to a small side picture on the cover. I’ve only seen one mag (US Weekly?) that actually did a full blown cover photo and when they did, it was Taylor, of course. It hasn’t been an important enough story for all of them to do full covers yet.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

Does he have friends (as in real friends, not showbiz colleagues)? Is he close to his father at all? I admit that not hanging out as his place, not even for an afternoon, seems weird.

      • Noname says:

Maybe they did in between all their pap strolls on the beach and visit to his mom?

      • Becky says:

Miss J, two of his close friends are John Macmillan and Laurence Spellman both of whom are actors. They’ve been seen at events with him, though not recently. He also appears to be close to his younger sister Emma, they apparently had a tradition of attending Wimbledon together.

During their European tour of luurve the only UK stopover was Suffolk for the family pics opportunity, and Luton airport on the way back.

      • Lilacflowers says:

He has friends going back to Dragon School days and he is very close with some cousins. Despite the insistence of some dans that he isn’t close with his father because of his career path, he has said otherwise and his father came around when he saw Gathering Storm, helped him with research for War Horse, and attended several of his premieres

    • Noname says:

Is he close to his father? I thought I read somewhere they are not that close but who knows…

Does he have friends? And who are his friends, exactly? I’m asking because I only know him as Loki, do not understand the complete meltdown of his fans and media over this, and while he’s attractive, I don’t get the whole ladyboner stuff for him.

    • K.C. says:

Is their relationship a “pics or it didn’t happen” situation? She could’ve met them and we just don’t have photo evidence. Unless they’re just constantly tiddlesbanging when they’re not in public, which is all good.

That said, I highly doubt Hiddles-dad is on board with this, even if Tom has met the love of his life. If it took years for Tom to somewhat legitimize his career choice in his dad’s eyes, can’t imagine what he thinks of pop star Taylor.

      • Mira says:

“Is their relationship a “pics or it didn’t happen” situation?”
The way they carry on, i would say yes. 😉

    • spidey says:

      wrong place

    • spidey says:

      @lilacflowers – that you know of. 😆

    • DrunkNachos says:

I don’t believe shes met his dad (who probably wants NONE of this fu*&ery) or his friends, esp. his famous ones like Cumberbatch. Does Tom have any friends left? I can picture them trying to call him and just getting a recorded message like:

“The man formerly known as Tom has been assimilated into the TayBorg. Goodbye.”

    • M.A.F. says:

But have you ever seen him photograph with friends? Ever?

  7. CornyBlue says:

It has been a month. Like chill a bit guys.

  8. Dani says:

Oh FFS. Is it over yet? We get it, you’re in love. Someone pass me the eye bleach.

  9. Rapunzel says:

At this point, I’m beginning to wonder if Tay is on Idris Elba’s payroll, and helping him sabotage Tom so Idris can be Bond.

  10. Micki says:

Yes, yes, I also feel that their connection is the rarest of things.

  11. Lex says:

This relationship is as genuine as her squad friends. I’m sorry, but there’s no way she’s besties with every single girl she’s been pictured with. It seems to me those girls know they will get publicity and followers from hanging out with her, so therefore they act like they love Swifty bossing them around.

I’m still hoping for a pregnancy announcement at the end of the summer. Now THAT would be juicy gossip.

    • HH says:

Exactly. This line tripped me up: “all of Taylor’s best friends” >>>>> It’s probably because I’m more introverted, but I can’t see having more than three. I only have one, not counting my mother.

      • AG-UK says:

My mother had a saying if you are a friend to many you aren’t a friend to any (her Southern wisdom (:)

      • HH says:

        I like that saying! 🙂

There’s just something about having too many best friends that makes my alarms go off. Friendships take effort and time. I personally like to cultivate ones that will last.

      • Andrea says:

I found I have a lot of friends/acquaintances in the south(people I could really count on when the chips are down), but now that I live in Canada, everyone seems to have 3 friends from high school or university and won’t let anyone new get close to them. Therefore, I hang out with expats. I find it a touch sad that Torontonians at least seem so cold and closed off to making new close friends.

    • Meee4 says:

@Andrea – “that’s Toronto for you” as we Canadians would say. If you haven’t already come to find out ,the rest of the country has a comical and somewhat actual dislike of all thing T.O.(the centre of the universe).

I’ve lived out east and out west and I have friends from all stages only one of which was from high school era.

      • HH says:

Yes, I lived in Ottawa briefly and the amount of eyerolls when Toronto was mentioned was hilarious. I always tell people that I enjoy Toronto, but I enjoyed the other places I visited more. Toronto reminds of an NYC-Ottawa hybrid. It’s fun, but not distinctly Canadian (if that makes sense).

      • Sarah says:

Vancouver is the same. Noone wants to make new friends so I am forced to make friends with British, Irish, Aussies etc.

And you can hardly blame “Vancouver” or “Toronto” people as the cities are stocked with loads from smaller towns. It’s a Canadian thing, it seems!

People are so fake nice but it never follows through to anything. I’d much prefer people were standoffish so at least it’s clear when someone actually wants to be your friend when they start warming to you.
        Sigh.

      • Maxime DuCamp says:

I don’t think it’s just a Canadian thing. I’ve had friends say the same thing about Austrailia and Germany (not that they didn’t eventually make friends there; just that it took a lot longer than it might have in the states). I’ve personally found that making friends as one gets older (like post-30s) is difficult wherever you live.

  12. Naya says:

She is so transparent. Ryan Reynolds was invited so that Tom would have a man date. Of course she could have invited non celebrity men to fill that role but that would have diluted the star power. I bet you no other male celebrity wanted anything to do with this and Blake probably dragged Ryan along. Also, from the pics it doesnt look like he and Ryan clicked since they spent the day glued to their respective women. Awkward.

    • Mia V. says:

And she invited Uzo Aduba, who happens to be black and not model looking so people will know Tay-Tay have black friends, and Ruby Rose, who is lesbian, cause obviously Tay-Tay group of supermodels is very welcoming of those who are not skinny and blonde.

  13. pretty says:

taylor swift is conniving, savvy, smart and on top of the world with fame and fortune. she can afford the luxury of trolling like this and her brand won’t be damaged. to her, us peasants are not the target audience of this mess. she’s looking down at kanye/kim and calvin and katy whatshername etc that wronged her. she’s not the innocent, naive girl that is ~stuck~ at 15 years old.

  14. H says:

I’ve never moved as fast as Swift in any relationship with any of my past significant others.

SLOW down, Taylor! And Tom, wrap it up.

  15. Lorn says:

Anyone else see the articles saying it might all be an elaborate music video shoot? I think they might be onto something. Apparently the paparazzi are the same guys in Rhode Island, Rome, London, etc. It might be a performance art / video. I can see that. That makes more sense than believing this is real!

    • Mrs. Welen-Melon says:

SOLVED! Swifty is going to out Lemonade Beuonce. Oh, Calvin buckle up tight. Turbulence ahead!

    • Maria says:

so like all of her other relationships and their pap walks were for a music videos?

it would be pretty dumb because she already has the reputation of using her love life for commercial gain.

    • KHLBHL says:

I didn’t see your comment (I should’ve scrolled down) and posted above. I think that’s what Taylor’s die-hard fans would like to think, but I think this is way too elaborate and ridiculous to be performance art. Lemonade was the real deal, real art. This is….this…I don’t even know what this is.

      • Mrs. Welen-Melon says:

Agree. Besting Lemonade would only be in Taylor’s world.

It’s either this is a paid acting job for some kind of Taylor Swift project. or Hiddleston has a brain tumor that is affecting his judgment.

    • Ohdear says:

I have been. 17 years ago I married my husband, who I had known for 3 months.

  16. snusnud says:

What happened to Taylor’s friendship with Lorde? They seemed extremely close at some point.

  17. marshmellow says:

There are so many conspiracy theories out about this relationship, and they’re all still more plausible than the “true luv” story they’re trying to sell.

  18. Sixer says:

My connection to spiders is also rare. Possibly not in the same way.

  19. tacos and tv says:

This needs to end! Soon. I don’t like her. And they are acting 16 years old and it’s exhausting. This is all fake, fake, fake! And the worst part is, it will be his career that tumbles, not hers.

  20. Mike says:

I love how Swift always has one black person in her huge group of tall, skinny, white, blond model friends so nobody can accuse her of being racist. Not manipulative at all

    • KHLBHL says:

Ha! And Selena Gomez represents the Latina demographic, and Hailee Steinfeld represents the Asian demographic. Like a commercial for J. Crew or something. Taylor is just so thorough, isn’t she?

      • Mike says:

You have to admire her in a way. She is truly Machiavellian in her manipulation of her image. At least Selena Gomez is a fairly constant presence for the Latin quota in her squad. You never see the same black woman twice. I think they figure out they are being used. I remember when Beyonce and Jay Z bailed on one of her parties because they realized that they were the only black people out of over 100 people at the party.

    • LadyLoo says:

You know she has tick boxes for everything at her ‘fun, totally relaxed, awesome’ party, so why would the guest list be any different.

      • Shiba says:

Jay was trying to get Taylor to sign up with Tidal. That’s why he and B went to her birthday party last year – the Carters are all bizness.

  21. K.C. says:

I genuinely hope celebrities don’t think about the public’s opinion to the extreme degree people speculate on here. I know they’re in the business of managing and caring about their image, but if they go out of their way to throw days-long parties with fake friends and stage elaborate, around-the-world trips with fake boyfriends…yikes. I feel a staged, appropriately-timed Instagram pic every so often would do the trick if that were the case, no? To me, the more “elaborate” something seems, the more reason there is to believe that it’s just the real deal. I know that’s just me, but IDK. All the plotting and planning that allegedly goes down in Taylor’s everyday life exhausts me.

Taylor’s not well-liked, but she doesn’t seem like a bad person by any stretch. For her sake, hope her life isn’t as fake as so many seem to think.

    • popup says:

Co-sign on everything you write, K.C.!

Speaking of exhausting, the vitriol for Taylor on this blog is getting tiresome. Half of the comments are the hilarious snark I’ve come to appreciate and the other half are so over-the-top vindictive, humorless and crazy, and, yes, border on sexist at times. Those who accuse her of being the ultimate mean girl seem like mean girls themselves. Tina Fey admitted she was a mean girl herself as a defense mechanism for not being popular but that that was no excuse for saying vile things about other people. Taylor Swift may be calculating and a bit prickly about perceived wrongs, but she is not evil incarnate. The way people go on you’d think she murdered several people on her way to the top.

    • this_dis says:

In the off chance it is not PR, can you imagine what it must be like if these people are simply going out on dates? The amount of judgement that is being passed on your character, and death-certificates passed on your career, all because… *drumrolls* you’re going out with somebody and not hiding?

Even if it is PR? Who are these two hurting if that’s case? Some reactions seem really excessive to me.

It’s also odd how the main beef seems to be that this is a staged relationship, but, in the next breath, people are shouting for Publicists to intervene and put an end to it. Which is it then? Are people disgusted because it IS PR, or because it’s not PR enough?

      • popup says:

I think it’s both real and PR. People who are as famous as Taylor, and also Tom (though he’s about 100x less famous), always take care to try to control what they show or how much they are allowed to be seen in public. Even if it’s in a “I don’t give a flying f*ck, just watch me do my thing” mentality, which I think is mainly the case here, that in itself is intentional. Tom wearing that ridiculous t-shirt… he surely must have known that by going out to the beach that someone was going to get a pic, whether it was a fan or a pap, and what the reaction would be. From the real+PR perspective, he wanted people to know that he is THAT into Taylor, that he is a MASSIVE dork, that he is an absolute fool in love or infatuation and that he doesn’t care for any of this to be a secret.

It’s arguable whether they’re doing the PR part well, but it sure is hilarious.

      • Luca76 says:

Yeah it’s a complete over-reaction. I’m no Swift or Hiddleston fan and there is obviously an element of PR to this relationship roll out BUT the over reaction and meltdown is silly.

  22. Tara says:

BTW guys, Hollywood is full of pedos and sex offenders. They’re monsters.

What have Taylor and Hiddleston done?

    Put this in perspective okay?

    • shelly says:

I’m just here for a bit of good natured p*ss taking.

Swift comes across as a nice enough girl who seems to interact with her fans, I’ve never heard anything unpleasant about her.

I’m sure she is blissfully unaware of some of the spikier comments on here, and if she was aware I doubt if she’d care too much while she’s counting her millions and enjoying her healthy young life.

But the name of the website is celebitchy after all, and who doesn’t enjoy a bit of a bitch fest now and then. I know I do.

      • Tara says:

I was reading the comments at dlisted too, well for a minute I was then I had to click out of there. I was afraid to comment. Talk about over the top. You would think these two had been on a baby-murdering spree.

      • LadyLoo says:

The problem with TS and TH, Tara, is they are trying to shovel a lot of manure our way, expecting that we’ll roll around in it and ask for more like good, little piggies. People who are angry and dragging them are people who feel like these two are trying to manipulate us with their crafty – although not so much – use of paps and media outlets.

No one’s accusing them of killing babies and insulting them for that reason. People are calling them out because they’re trying to play the general public with some pretty crappy PR stunts.

      • Erinn says:

        But LadyLoo –
people ARE rolling around in it. Look at how many comments these threads get – if you don’t like that they’re doing it, commenting is only giving it steam. That’s the thing I don’t get. So many people complain about it – but as long as articles on TH and TS get a ton of hits, they’re going to keep coming.

      • Noname says:

@Ladyloo- Like Tara said… try to keep this in perspective, please. What have these two done to be ridiculed and insulted? They are engaging in a PR relationship? Really? What is wrong with people?!? This is the most fun I have had with celebrity gossip in 10 years and it’s these comments that make me want more, more, more. I know want them to go the distance!!! I want a princess wedding, with the carriage and princess dress and wands for bridesmaids, I want Hiddleston on a white horse, I want perfect unicorn babies… I WANT IT ALL.

@ Erinn- sssshh… you’re making too much sense.

      • Tara says:

Ladyloo, people are actually angry over this? Sorry, don’t get that. That’s weird. To each their own.

      • Crox says:

Bill Cosby got less responses. All were negative and yet it was less of them and they showed less frustration than with these two. That’s how bad this is.

      • Noname says:

@Crox- It shouldn’t be bad at all. It’s fun, it’s hilarious and I am dying laughing at the responses I am reading…

I mean, come one.. Tom Hiddleston is an actor! He’s not the Pope or Mother Teresa or even royalty… I am still not sure why this is such a big deal. But I am having so much fun laughing at how serious some commenters are..

Oh… you mean the response is bad? I’d agree that the response to these two dating is bad.

      • Crox says:

Yes, the response is bad. What I meant is they get more negative comments here than f.e. Cosby ever did. Which is funny and sad at the same time. Absurd in general.

Anyway, I think I figured out why he wore that shirt. Nobody is talking about his underwear photoshoot anymore, the shirt is the star now (and in my book way less cringeworthy than those pics).

Either way, I didn’t like Hiddles or Swift before, but I do now. I find their struggle (real or PR, I don’t care) endearing.

      • Sixer says:

But surely most of the comments are just funny? I don’t know why anyone would object to people messing about and having a laugh, even if it is at the expense of a hapless celeb or two? Surely joyful laughter shouldn’t have a maximum proper comment count? What an awful world that would be.

Mind you, I might have a skewed idea of the balance of funny/serious posts. If a comment’s looking a bit straitlaced my eyes glaze over and I skim past until someone makes a joke. At that point, 20/20 vision is restored.

      • wrinkledpeas says:

What’s there to be angry about? That’s what I don’t get. They’re pretty harmless.

      • Crox says:

It stopped being *just* funny at this point. And it’s not anger for the most part, it’s schadenfreude (in lack of a better word), and shaming her for being a free woman, and – as you nicely put it – having a laugh at the expense of hapless people (celebs or not). I’d get it if there were 100 comments and half of them nasty, that’s the usual stuff. But this?

And don’t tell me commentators are not emotionally invested in this – by definition you have to have some feelings on the matter to put so much time into reading nasty comments and then adding your own mocking. I’m emotionally invested right now too, not so much in the two of them but definitely in the reactions. Just here scratching my head wondering why on Earth this is getting such a big reaction. I don’t get it. It’s bizzare.

      • Sixer says:

Crox – at the risk of ruining my reputation on this board by being serious on a non-royal post, there’s nothing more or less laugh-y, or angry-y or supportive-y about Tiddles than there is on any other topic hereabouts. You’ve got a great many comments because:

it’s two fandoms and anti-fandoms in one topic
gossip magazines are generating many column inches

These two aspects up the comment numbers. And when comment numbers are upped, they are inevitably upped further by large numbers of people complaining about the line and/or tone taken by other large numbers of people. By the end of Tiddles, there will be more comments policing other comments than anything else, as this part of the thread is currently demonstrating.

        That’s how gossip goes.

      • Crox says:

OK, OK, I guess you’re right.

I am just baffled by all the negativity (especially the amount of it, and not just here: DM has no policing and much angrier crowd (but they also mostly kiss the feet of Nigel Farage so why am I even reading their thoughts?)) over two people posing for cameras in this fashion and not really doing anything actually bad. Perhaps because I’m close to 40, married, and on a maturity level of these two. 😀 We splish splash and act like idiots in the sea, we pose for silly pics, my husband has a pink t-shirt with a unicorn he wears as a joke … and we both have serious jobs and also serious hobbies. But what’s the fun in being all serious all the time? Please don’t tell me you’re all just doom and gloom after 30.

      • Sixer says:

It’s human nature. Most of us find it difficult to let others be who they be – whether they are celebrities and the topic of posts on gossip boards, or whether they are fellow commenters on gossip boards. Such is life!

I don’t even see all this negativity of which you speak. Sure, there’s some, but people are just saying what they feel, and why shouldn’t they? Personally, I find Tiddles to be hilarious and joyful but also puketastic and twee. Others see it differently. No biggie.

Vis a vis comments sections themselves – I think it would be better if people, as we say here in Britland, played the ball and not the man. That is, criticised or agreed with the points being made and not the motivations or the character of the person making them. But again – it’s just human nature.

My advice: don’t waste time bemoaning the fact that some people behave in ways you don’t like. Just engage with the people you get along with.

And as far as pink goes – I spat on it when I was 10 years old and I still spit on it today at 41. Yuck. Pass the sick bucket. In my world, doom and gloom IS pink. Sorry!

      • Crox says:

About playing the ball, not the man … But then surely these two should be judged by their silly actions alone, but instead we have tons of character assasements for two people none of us really know. The misconception of their characters is what created this mess of a reaction in the first place.

And again: I don’t really bemoan that others behave in the way I don’t like. It’s the volume of it that surprises me. That’s all.

    • this_dis says:

This. Yes, it looks silly and over the top. I get the mocking, but there’s a hostile and near hateful tone in certain comments that I just don’t get.

      • LadyLoo says:

Don’t go looking to Dlisted or Celebitchy for rainbows and group hugs. Head over to tumblr for that stuff.

      • this_dis says:

I’m not looking for hugs or rainbows. Like I said, I understand the joking and mockery; I’m simply trying to understand the hostility, as if these two are committing a crime.

Plus, tumblr is not much better.

      • Noname says:

I want rainbows… I want rainbows for Tom & Taylor lol.

    • Erinn says:

      Tara, Tara, Tara.

It’s the COOL thing to treat Taylor like she’s murdered everyone’s beloved granny.

I honestly don’t get it either, and I often find myself sticking up for the girl. I like her. She does some really nice things for fans, she loves cats, and is a pretty inoffensive person overall. Most of the ‘reasoning’ behind the hate is based off pure speculation and comments from ‘sources’. I get that she can be grating – but beyond that? You’d think after the granny murder spree she also made a pass at everyone’s husbands or something.

      • Tara says:

Yes, I can’t really place the undertone here to be honest, but over there at D, it’s all about being soooo cool. I mean, cooler than anyone ever. While posting on a gossip site all of July 4th. Cool has been redefined since my day I guess.

    • K.C. says:

I agree. These are two pretty decent human beings, as far as we know. If all they’re doing is trying to shove a PR-created relationship down our throats, well…they’re doing a bad job of it, and that’s about the worst thing I can say about them. I mean, we’ve seen pictures of them out on some dates. That’s…it. The way the media has EXPLODED over this with insane conspiracy theories blows my mind. Yes, they’re over the top. Yes, they’re probably playing it up for the cameras. But is it REALLY more likely that they’re doing a strange social experiment or shooting the longest music video ever than the idea that maybe they’re just two celebrities dating who also like attention? If either wanted a purely PR-relationship – to cover up her rift with Kanye, or to boost his image, or whatever – surely they could’ve chosen better candidates than each other, as they’ve been endlessly mocked for their age difference, difference in careers, etc. You don’t get involved in a purely PR-relationship to get made fun of every day. I think a real relationship and with staged/controlled publicity makes a lot of sense. I don’t get why that’s not a more popular theory, because it sounds pretty realistic to me.

Perspective has been key to me through all of this. A month ago I found out Johnny Depp, an actor I’d respected for years, was more than likely beating his wife. There’s no convincing me that Tiddles is doing anything remotely wrong right now.

      • Noname says:

I know K. C. I am pretty depressed about Depp. I had such a huge crush on him when I was 17 and he was on 21 Jump Street. Sigh.

I don’t care if it’s a PR relationship, a real one or a combination of the two, I am enjoying these two. This is gossip gold, the Oscars of gossip, etc. I don’t care if it’s to make me forget about TS rift with Kanye, which i could care less about by the way, it makes me smile. It gives me pure joy when the past 6 plus months we have had nothing but sadness and soul destroying gossip nonsense. Depp. Cosby. Sheen. Chris Brown. The list goes one. These two brought back my love of celebrity gossip. They made it fun again.

On a serious note, these two are real people with real feelings and I can’t imagine the look on their faces if they read some of the nastier stuff being said about them. But some people are keyboard bullies and feel they have right to trash them because Hiddleston destroyed their vision of him.. whatever.

      • Crox says:

I have two folders of Johnny Depp magazine cuttings from the 90s. Sigh. I, too, am bummed about this whole mess with Amber (not her fault!).

      • K.C. says:

@Noname I agree. These two make me happy (and btw, some new Instagram pics are making them seem pretty legit—maybe it’s still all an elaborate scheme, lol, but it made me smile). They’re making the celebrity world fun again, and I haven’t felt that way in years. And I too, feel bad at the thought of these two actually having a real relationship and seeing some of the nastiness being said about them. Even if they’re controlling photo-ops or whatever, the reaction is blowing what they’ve been doing way out of proportion. It’s extreme in the weirdest way. I understand they both have intense fanbases, and I know they both clearly like attention, but c’mon. These are two of the least offensive celebrities I can think of, lol.

@Crox I know. This whole thing just really…sucks. There’s no other way to put it. I love so many of Depp’s films and I seriously doubt I’ll ever feel good about watching them ever again. My heart hurts for what Amber is going through.

      • Looty says:

        KC is always right.

  23. Mira says:

Hiddleston is the only boyfriend she had that seems happy to be part of the squad. He seems like an honorary squad member already! 🙂

    • browniecakes says:

I wonder if the PDA is event too much for her squad. Stop kissing already, you are not alone yet!

  24. cindyp says:

Isn’t he suppose to be a serious actor? How can any of this nonsense be good for his career?

    • this_dis says:

Why does something you do in your off time (that is not illegal), has any bearing on either or not you’re a good or serious professional?

    • LadyLoo says:

It’s not good, cindyp. Not at all.

And, this-dis, this isn’t his ‘off time.’ If it were his off time we wouldn’t see pics every two days. They wouldn’t be calling the paps on a consistent basis. This is as much as performance as it is a relationship. And of course his behavior in front of a camera will affect people’s impressions of him in a professional sense. That’s the whole point.

      • this_dis says:

Hiddleston’s not shooting any movie or tv series, so, as far as I’m concerned, it is his off time. You might be of the opinion that photos are being commissioned, but that doesn’t result in him being incompetent at his job.

How does that work, exactly? Every time an actress is pap’d getting a latte, it automatically stops being her off time?

      • Mira says:

You don’t see most serious actors on their off time. How many pap pics have you seen of Cumberbatch or Hardy lately? Even someone as famous as J Law
( arguably as big as Taylor is in her profession) is extremely low key when she isn’t promoting a movie and i am sure she gets lattes on her time off. The point is they aren’t courting publicity when they don’t have a product to sell.
Being part of the Swift circus may help him as a celebrity but actors especially serious actors needs to keep a certain sense of mystery about themselves to be believable in a variety of parts. I do think its less damaging for pop stars to be this in your face, but even Katy Perry is arguably more low key when she doesn’t have an album to sell. Swift does seem to have a big need for publicity even for a pop star and i don’t see how that benefits Hiddlestons serious acting career. Then again maybe this is exactly what he wants.

      • Noname says:

Serious acting career? As opposed to non-serious acting career?

Actors… entertain…that’s it. And if you get lucky, they also happen to be decent people. I am not sure what Hiddleston did that’s so egregious that it would affect his “serious acting career” but whatever.

      • Dara says:

@Noname, it’s all a matter of degree I’ll grant you that, but some actors are more serious than others, both in their choice of roles and how they approach their careers. I feel a poll coming on…

On a scale of Adam Sandler (downright awful) to Daniel Day Lewis (always stellar), where would we rank Hiddleston?

      • Noname says:

@Dara- I am still not sure how Hiddleston dating Taylor Swift affects his career and why it should. He’s done nothing wrong.

Are people considering Hiddleston serious because he was in the theater? He played Loki!!! How is that serious?

    • browniecakes says:

He cannot get a stage play while dating her. TnT fans screaming his name every time he comes on stage? And who can see around Taylor’s bodyguards sitting in the audience? (Let’s talk about the body guards some more. ) He seems so infatuated – will he takes jobs when she has time off? or that may be further than she is willing to fly? I think serious actor is slipping away but does he need to work if they marry and she’ll bankroll him?

    • Pro Swifty says:

Just do a Google Trends search for Hiddleston. His name recognition is going off the charts. The vast majority of people are hearing about him for the first time. Wendy Williams had no idea who Hiddleston was. Now she does. Mission accomplished.

I find it hilarious that the Hiddleston fans imagine themselves to be some kind of taste arbitrator for the entire world. Nope. They are a fringe of a fringe. TH’s non-Marvel projects have been bombing left and right… maybe it’s time to try a different strategy. TH’s next big movie is a big effects-driven movie, Kong 2 Skull Island. Now how do you suppose you can raise the profile of this movie, especially in China and the overseas markets that these types of movies depend on? With Shakespeare? No. How about hitching your wagon to the most famous popstar in the world? TH and his team are thinking long-term. Once the snark has died down, TH will have name and face recognition everywhere in the world, from the US to China. A very nice place to be in.

      • Mira says:

Well i think people were talking about Hiddleston as a serious actor not as blockbuster popcorn type of actor. Of course if you want to talk about that type of actor you may be right about that
But then again some people have drawn comparisons with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez and apparently his career tanked after that and it took a decade for him to be taken seriously again. As i said, i think this type of celebrity works better for a pop star than an actor. Actors first and foremost has to be believable in the part. And its hard to think of anyone who can open a movie because of who they are dating.

      • Luca76 says:

Ben Afflecks career tanked when he was with Jlo because they did two awful movies back to back together and neither were ever good actors. If Hiddleston’s movies are any good he will be fine.

      • bonzo says:

My theory is that the disappointment of the projects released in the past nine months and the hope that Skull Is will prove his box-office worthiness is driving this 180 degree turn in PR strategy. If SI fails to find commercial success, then his chances of getting top roles are pretty slim.

(I personally don’t think he’s leading man material, so I’m not sure that even Kong’s success at the BO will enable him to become an A-lister, but that’s my take on him as an actor.)

The difference between Tom and Ben was that Ben was already an A-lister. Tom’s at best a C-lister. I think it’s easier for someone with the recognition of Affleck to regain his upper-tier status with — in his case — directing great projects, than it would be for Tom to move up to that level. How many lesser-known actors have been able to move to A-list because of who they’re dating? Serious question here. None are coming to mind.

      • TommyAnnE of a Thousand Days says:

This might be exactly what he has in mind, actually. This is a strategic Hollywood relationship. Maybe one he actually enjoys, but definitely one pursued for a career purpose. I suspect Tay Tay unders him perfectly. This is what she does all the time, and she is expert at it.

I’ll cut to the chase: I know some people here will strongly disagree, but I don’t think Hiddles is a particularly strong actor. He certainly wanted to be one and threw his heart into ISTL in the hopes that it would be his big breakout oscar winning role, but it bombed. CP also bombed. HR didn’t bomb, but it isn’t the breakout hit that he needs to distinguish himself. NM was a wonderful show, but I don’t think it launches him into Daniel Day Lewis territory.

He’s thirty five. About to do another Loki movie. All he has coming out in the next year is friggin’ King Kong. Where are the challenging dramatic roles?

So now he is shifting gears and working hard to establish himself as heart throb leading man material. He is working VERY hard. I don’t think he is going to get Bond, but I also don’t believe for a minute that he wouldn’t kill for that role.

So Tay Tay is PR paydirt for what he wants to accomplish, and of course he is going to work it for all it is worth– because that is what our boy does. He dragged his own mother, sister, and niece into this PR feeding frenzy, and that says everything to me.

The question is will this exhausting PR succeed? Or will he just make a fool of himself? Judging by that cringeworthy photoshoot in paper undercrackers, I think he is positioning himself for a humiliating crash.

But hey, we will see. If this turns into a music video for Tay Tay, I’ll have to give him the prize for having no dignity whatsoever.

      • bonzo says:

If it’s just for a silly music video, then I’ll congratulate Tom heartily for being game for all the shenanigans of the past few weeks.

If it’s him looking for fame by puckering up his lips and attaching himself to a big fish Remora-like, then my bet is on him never really recovering from the global mocking he’s been getting.

      • Mira says:

        @Luca76
Ben affleck, from what i can tell, was an A list star, who had no problem getting producers to cast him in big hollywood movies, when his down spiralled happened and he has blamed it directly on being overexposed. I find it hard to see how Hiddleston who is nowhere near A list supposedly will benefit when someone who is A list says overexposure is bad for your acting career. Affleck also has writing and directing in his locker which enabled him to take charge of his career, when Hollywood no longer thought he was castable. On top of that he is also more hollywoods idea of handsome leading man, so i do think he would get more second and third chances. I still maintain that a sense of mystery about your private life or at least that one isn’t a constant fixture in the tabloids is important if you want some kind of serious or even to some extent major acting career. The ones that benefit from too much exposure are pop stars and “personalities”.

This will end soon enough and we can all go back to gossiping about something else. BTW, wonder how Blake and Gwen feel about their limelight being stolen? LOL

No no no!!! I want this love story to continue, at least, until holiday season.

      • Noname says:

I want it to continue… forever.. I want a princess wedding!!!!!!!

      • browniecakes says:

No doubt about it, this is fun. If it goes all 12 rounds – marriage – I’ll be thrilled.

  26. Spencer says:

I like everyone else is fascinated by what’s unfolding. However, simply think they really just dig each other and he’s having fun, it is to his demise? we’ll have to see, meantime, its TAYLOR SWIFT!!! and when was the last time he partied at this level? I think he’s wearing the t-shirt to show us all he couldn’t give two -s…ts about what we think.

    • browniecakes says:

I agree. She is a keeper in his mind. He is seriously grinning ear to ear when you can see his grin and his mouth is not on hers. (Clearly THAT part of the relash is working.)
He doesn’t care what we think and his PR ‘does not comment on their clients’ private lives.’ Have at it – damned the CV/resume.

  27. OTHER RENEE says:

Are there any photos of Tay Tay and her pack in which she is NOT in the center?

    • Hanna says:

I saw a photo were she was directing everyone were to stand. Karlie stand there, Gigi there, Blake there 😂

  28. LinaLamont says:

TH is my new hero/idol…and, I say this with a straight face.  He got what he wanted without hurting anyone.

He IS fearless.  He IS relentless. He DOES exhaust all avenues.

My understanding is that he uses/used women with (perceived) fame and/or connections all along- to no avail.
This time, he got the grand prize and, as they’re using each other, no-one gets hurt.

He’s a hard-worker (as far as actors go), a nice/good team-player and serious about his work.  As I’ve said before, I don’t think he’s a great actor, but, he’s put his heart and soul into trying to make it BIG, and,  it’s failed.

Good for him for swooping in and, finally, hitting the jackpot.

BTW, having (for decades) worked with, been friends with, partied with, and even, once, dated (against my better judgment) actors (from student film actors to A-list and AA winners), I can tell you they’re exhausting.

Most of them are always “on”. Many are needy, arrogant & insecure at the same time, entitled, less-than-brilliant/intellectual. Really,  grown people playing dress-up & make-believe while spouting other peoples’ truths & insights. They ARE empty vessels.

    • Laura says:

He tried imo to use chastain and Olsen. They didn’t want to be part of it. Imao.

Funny you should mention always on, I have the impression Tom is always on, always ready to dance, sing or do impressions. That sounds exhausting.

    • TommyAnnE of a Thousand Days says:

“Most of them are always “on”. Many are needy, arrogant & insecure at the same time, entitled, less-than-brilliant/intellectual. Really, grown people playing dress-up & make-believe while spouting other peoples’ truths & insights. They ARE empty vessels.”

      Bingo.

    • shelly says:

Lina that is probably the best description of Actors/Actresses I have ever seen. People invest them with so much genius, when in fact many of them are akin to trained seals.

I’m really enjoying the harmless fun of Tiddleswift, long may it last.

  29. Hanna says:

This Huddleston guy is a joke everywhere on the Internet ! I couldn’t believe it when I saw him with squad. He looked like a creepy uncle.

  30. Gg says:

This is bringing me back to the early 2000’s when all the American celebrities hooked up with Brits… Gwen, Gwyneth, Madonna. They bought townhouses in London and when the kids were little played house over there. I am picturing a similar trajectory for Tay. There will definitely be a London townhouse in her future!

    • Mike says:

Because all those celebrities dreamed of being an Aristocrat regardless of how they built their career being rebels (looking at you Madonna) We still have an inferiority complex when it comes to the British and the British know it. The British accent did not even exist 300 years ago. It was taught so the Royals could sound different than the “commoners” and then the commoners learned it because they wanted to sound like the royals. And on and on it goes

      • Laura says:

True! There should be a study on Anglophilia in modern American women. They are attracted to the most basic looking men just because of the accent and the class.

      • Fire Rabbit says:

Inferiority complex? Speak for yourself. Almost 250 years, most of us, on both sides of the pond, have well and truly moved on.
Your comment on the accent though was interesting. In a linguistics class I remember my professor also noting this. IIRC, he said back then it was similar to what Americans might identify as a Philadelphia region accent. He suggested watching a Grace Kelly movie or two as an example. To me that accent, while American, was definately upperclass Philly lol.

  31. seesittellsit says:

    Like, I can’t even . . .

Hiddles will have not a shred of credibility left as the class act after this. I dunno – maybe he really wasn’t a class act: maybe it was the class act that was the facade and this is who he really is – totally seduced by tinsel.

    Who’d a thunk it?

  32. Smd says:

Noname, yes!! Bring on the over the top wedding. I can’t even fathom. My guess is she would have multiple receptions, a Rhode Island reception, England and a glam Cali reception with different themes, costume changes and decor for each. Magical!! This needs to happen…..

  33. Laura says:

Do not think he will be a big movie star due to Taylor exposure. He’s not leading man material imo.
He’s not going to appeal to Taylor’s tween stans with those looks that hairline and quite a lot of wrinkles.
    He has supporting actors looks,
It was different with Calvin, he looks younger & his music is for a young audience. Hes more marketable to a younger audience.

  34. Plum says:

At first I thought it was brain impairment on his part. Now I think it’s genuine love. The symptoms can be similar. I’m 37 years old and I have never been in love. I use to be consumed with jealousy for people lucky enough to find love; now I am just glad that human beings are capable of feeling such a thrilling emotion and I occasionally fantasize about love. At this stage in my live I wish lovers well! Even potentially fake ones. :>

    • LadyLoo says:

Plum, firstly, stick in there. Love comes when you least expect it. It can still happen for you.

Is this ‘genuine love?’ No. Anyone will tell you that genuine love doesn’t happen in three weeks, in the public eye, between two people who spend more time in front of cameras or with bodyguards than alone together.

If it’s real, it’s infatuation, lust, mad attraction. Genuine love needs time, much more time.
All the Hiddleswifters can give me a call in 6 months.

      • Plum says:

Thanks for the kind words LadyLoo. I will be open to the possibility of falling in love, though obviously life is about who you are, not what you get. :>

      • Christin says:

Completely agree. Real love is not boastful, is patient and kind, remains solid during hard times…so many things that are hard to confirm in three weeks. Genuine love is unconditional and grows over time.

And it can find you when you are least looking for it, @Plum. But being happy with yourself is a very important love, too. You sound like a grounded person, and I wish you well.

      • bonzo says:

Real love involves sacrifice since two people with their own personalities, needs and agendas are going to butt heads at some point. That’s when you know what’s holding a couple together — an unselfish desire for the good of the other or a desire to use that person for their own selfish gain. Without both parties learning to cooperate and yielding to each other, at least one person is going to miserable in the relationship.

What’s sad about Taylor is that being such a huge celebrity and an extremely wealthy woman, she can never really know if she’s loved for who she is — if the men she’s in relationship would love her a part from those things. It’s easy to mistake loving a person for tolerating someone because of what you get from them.

Plum, if its any encouragement, I found real love later in life after many desert years and I wish you well as you wait for yours. It is possible and can come when you least expect it.

    • Susie 1of 3 says:

I just read online of the wedding of a former classmate’s mom, a fun lady. She is 75 and had been a widow for 10 years. Her new husband is a very charming man I had met on a few occasions. His dear first wife had passed away about 30 years ago. You never know where or when love may happen. Two nice people who found each other.

I hope when TS and TH are 75, they look back and remember the great summer they had in 2016, if they’re still together or not.

  35. JB says:

That description of Tom in the last part is pretty spot on from what I can see.

  36. Timbuktu says:

I just figured out why I was reading all this: I think I feel partially vindicated by this romance. I think a big reason why I was sort of up in arms about BC + SH is because of the way she was introduced: there was so much “she way better than you”, “she’s so well-suited for him: educated, sophisticated, smart”, etc.
I’m neither British nor American, but I live in the US and know a lot of very classy American ladies who are even more educated, sophisticated, and smart, and dress better than Sophie to boot.
Well, Taylor Swift is American vengeance: we just had an even posher, potentially even smarter Brit fall for our shallow pop Barbie. Who’s well-suited now? 🙂

  37. browniecakes says:

What’s ironic to me is how this is like an O’Henry story. He may want to stay with her because she has so much money and fame and has the potential to make more money. But the way she makes more is write a song about a FORMER love. If they get married – would she have writers’ block? Would she lose her muse if she actually lands a man?

    • K.C. says:

I think she’s the type of whimsical, nostalgic person who could romanticize anything tbh. If she chooses to settle down, spending years writing songs that romanticize Tom Hiddleston shouldn’t be all that difficult, right?

She played a song at a Stand Up to Cancer event about a little boy who passed away, and it was truly a lovely song. That was the first time it dawned on me that she might actually be an interesting songwriter to follow when she grows out of her dating phase.

  38. nic919 says:

There is a hilarious photo out there with Taylor sitting on Tom’s lap next to Blake sitting on Ryan’s lap and Ryan’s face is priceless. This needs to be posted tomorrow.

    • Christin says:

I predict 400 comments for that post, if it happens. As I posted on the other TS thread, his face is the most REAL thing I’ve seen associated with this whirlwind fame-thirst pairing.

    • MellyMel says:

Yes! There are more pictures of their 4th of July weekend all over Insta including that picture! It’s hilarious cause Ryan Reynolds looks like he’s asking himself why he agreed to go hang out with these people. Tom looks like he’s in love with Taylor too, which…who knows? Maybe he is? The comments will be insane though if Celebitchy posts them tomorrow.

  39. Chef Grace says:

I just want to see him in that onesie!
I want to see the Hiddleparts wrapped up in all its star spangled glory!
Back flipping down that water slide.
Not on display in a cheesy pair of granny man pants.

This was just May 27th. Just 5 1/2 weeks ago we thought he might, just might be with this pretty, intellectual British woman just 3 years older than him. The comments are pretty good. If we only knew.

  41. shelly says:

So the Mens final at Wimbledon is on Sunday, please let Tayto attend. I’m starting to really root for these two now. Especially after googling Laurence Fox and his snidey comments about Tommy boy.

I don’t care if its real love, staged fake love or an elaborate joke. Its fun, fun fun and we all need a bit of joy in our lives.

I hope this is real, as I love Halloween and would love to see Tayto posing beside their pumpkins. I only came on this site to read about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and now I am invested in two people I was barely aware of before (I kept mixing Taylor Swift up with Leanne Rimes)

Ahh the joy of the internet.

BTW the Daily Mail are being really mean towards Hiddleston, they seem to be acting like a scorned girlfriend, posting an incredibly unflattering pic of him on the water slide, and adding this in the text.

“Tom looked in the grip of fear as he careered down the enormous inflatable moistened chute, while the ladies shrieked with glee behind him.
As if that was not enough, the image also offered fans the chance to leer at the metrosexual star, who recently stripped down to his underwear for W magazine, and his impressive washboard stomach.”

    Ouch bitchy much ?

    • Sixer says:

The good thing about this – sorry, LEGS! – is the the Fail is picking on the male half of the couple for once in its life.

      • shelly says:

So true if a Woman is looking less than svelte in a bikini, the Fail go on about so and so showing off her beach body curves (snark)

Then they wait for the bitch fest to ensue.

I don’t think TH looks that bad going down the water slide, just a bit pasty, but having the same sort of glow white skin myself, I well understand the dangers of being photographed in anything other than winter coats !

      • Sixer says:

Exactly. At least LEGS is the one taking it this time.

      • shelly says:

Mind you I almost have to give the Fail kudos for managing to shoe horn the words “enormous inflatable moistened chute” Into that article.

        Ooh err Missus.

  42. holly hobby says:

Aw look at her, she’s collecting friends like Barbie dolls again…

  43. Katia says:

This whole relationship is just one big
    eye roll at this point.
