Of course she would. Caitlyn being a Republican is frustratingly illogical, but what truly upsets me is her continually being a voice on trans issues. Previously, I thought that gig was thrust upon her, but now I see that she was previously a motivational speaker and I’m assuming the same (republican) crowds aren’t paying to her. Not to mention she was probably speaking about her time in the Olympics , so that’s still probably a bit much for people to take in. It seems like her trying to speak on trans issues is mostly about finding a new avenue to get speaking and appearance fees.

  2. Frida says:

Ugh, Caitlyn Jenner. Unrelated: Is she wearing two different shoes?

    • doofus says:

ha! I think she is. I had a geometry teacher who would do that periodically, on purpose, to see who was paying attention to their surroundings.

    • lisa2 says:

NO the strap that goes across is not visible. It is just a strap that goes on one side. She is not wearing two different shoes.. It does look like it though..

  3. J says:

Thought this was a pic of Jen Garner. They are looking very similar these days, right down to the ugly, frumpy sandals.

Sienna must be pissed that no major news outlet picked up on her and Bennett Miller. Lainey is trash and doesn’t count.

  4. Bellagio says:

Caitlyn Jenner became the most irritating member of the CKKlan

  5. Locke Lamora says:

Did anyone see that article on Daily Mail about Adele? Apparently, she sent someone on a 100 km drive to fetch her a pizza.

  6. Flowerchild says:

If it’s true that Ghostbusters toys aren’t selling I’m not surprised. The original Ghostbusters was a product of its time and the kids who grew up in the 80’s/ early 90’s are now adults. Most kids today don’t know about Ghostbusters or aren’t interested in it, so they won’t be interested in the toys.

    • Tiffany :) says:

The movie hasn’t come out yet. I think it would be odd for a kid to want a toy of a character they haven’t seen in action before.

      • Flowerchild says:

90% of Disney original movies toys sell even before the movie hits the theatres and after the movie comes out the sell triple.

      • Tiffany :) says:

True, but Disney is a unique animal. They have a network devoted to pushing their characters.

      • Jwoolman says:

Tiffany is right about Disney. They push their brand all the time. For months before a movie comes out, they’re promoting it on the Disney Channel. They’ve had fake talk show/movie review things with kids pretending to objectively review their movies (!) and also to do a lot of behind the scenes stuff on set during production. The kids are primed for the Disney movie character toys long before the movie hits the screen.

  7. Lynnie says:

Will there be any protests or rallies held at the Republican convention based on the events this week? Is that something people are expecting, or is it just gonna be an relatively uneventful awkward parade of Trump and his VP?

    • lilacflowers says:

There are always protests and rallies at conventions but most don’t get covered by news media. However, because of Drumpf, it has been expected that rallies and protests will be larger and louder this year because of rallies and protests that have surrounded his campaign. And that was before the events of the past week.

    • Tiffany says:

Lynnie, I am going to call this what it is, a clusterf*ck of epic proportions. This is coming at the worst time and anyone with a hint of credibility it not touching this with with a 10 inch pole. With the arrest across the nation in regards to protests right now and with Oompa’s supporters and their violent streak, it will be tense and that is an understatement.

      • Malificent says:

I was enjoying the thought of popping a big bowl of popcorn, pouring a big glass of wine, and watching the spectacle of the GOP imploding at the convention. Now I’m just worried.

      • Tiffany says:

@ Malificent. I feel for the residents of Cleveland.

I watched both conventions every term. This is the first year since I registered that I will not watch the RNC. It truly is heartbreaking how the system is.

      • Bridget says:

Did you hear that the Gov of Texas is not going to the convention?

    • Tiffany :) says:

I am so scared of the conventions. I think both parties will have very passionate demonstrators outside. I don’t think I am ready for this, but will I ever be ready?

Buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride for the next few weeks.

  8. minx says:

She’s still a rich, privileged white guy at heart.

  9. Nancy says:

If I jump on the Shoreway, I am in downtown Cleveland in ten minutes. Our country is in such turmoil. Who do we fear the most, the terrorists or ourselves. I hope Donald just does Donald and Caitlyn enjoys the Rock Hall and it is all done in peace. I will be relieved when it’s all over. This anxiety over a convention that will draw in the good and the ugly. Hoping good wins over evil and people stop hurting each other. It’s getting rigodamndiculous…

  10. JudyK says:

I no longer give Caitlyn any credibility or respect. She’s not even relevant IMO.

    • Caz says:

Yes. She doesn’t represent the transgender community. People need to stop giving her a platform. Stick to being papped “running errands in Malibu”

Tired of celebrities being made into something more than what they actually are.

      • JudyK says:

“Tired of celebrities being made into something more than what they actually are.”

Giving you an UP vote on that!

      • Kate says:

Thank you! celebrities have been given too much credibility and credence simply because they are recognizable.

  11. Neelyo says:

Poor Caitlyn doesn’t understand that she will ALWAYS be adjacent to the Republicans.

  12. Skins says:

    OMG! The hands

    • Nancy says:

Lol. Does explain Kendall’s modelling career. She didn’t get her long thing genes from Kris.

  13. Big hands, huge ears.

  14. India Andrews says:

There are plenty of LGBT Republicans. Look at the organization Log Cabin Republicans or the Facebook page LGBT for Trump. They say there is more to them than their sexuality. They don’t agree with the Christian Republican stand against the LGBT community but they agree with other stands on the economy, education, abortion, immigration, etc. These issues become more important than the GOP’s stand on LGBT issues. That is how Caitlyn Jenner happens. It may be illogical to other people who put their sexual politics first or who disagree with the Republicans regardless of their stand on LGBT issues but those folks would never be Republican anyway. So who really cares if they get you anyway?

  15. Veronica says:

I was hoping the Miranda ponytail would stay after Hamilton, but aw well. It have him such a boyish look. 🙂
