Real-life action figure Vin Diesel recently posted an 11-second trailer for the third installment of his successful xXx franchise on his Facebook page and it appears that he’s back in fighting shape.
As you may recall, back in October, some less-than-flattering photos of Vin rocking an impressive gut while on vacation in Miami surfaced. Vin took to Instagram soon after to show his six-pack and shut down the body shamers. Yes, he was employing those tricks we’ve all seen on the internet on how to fake those “before and after” weight loss pics, but, hey, we’ve all got our ego issues to deal with. For a 49-year-old, his body is pretty tight. Trust me, he’s in my “target dating age range” and I’ve seen some much more tragic torsos of late. (It’s pool season, offering lots of opportunities for men to get shirtless.)
On Sunday, Vin posted the teaser for xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, which isn’t scheduled for release until January 20 of 2017. The movie marks Vin’s third go-round as the extreme athlete turned spy (the original xXx came out in 2002 and the sequel, xXx: State of the Union came out in 2005.) The original did quite well at the box office, raking in over $277 million worldwide. I honestly forgot about the sequel, but this isn’t my genre. Samuel L. Jackson returns to the franchise as NSA agent Agent Augustus Gibbons and Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, OINTB’s Ruby Rose and Toni Collette (Muriel’s Wedding 4-eva) also star in the flick. Although it’s not my kind of flick, it looks action-packed, or, as my Dad would say, it’s got “a lot of activity.” And, hey, Vin’s not really my cup of tea (I can’t get going with bald guys), but the fact that he embraced having a “dad bod” makes him a-okay in my book. Is it just me, or is a little “dad bod” kind of sexy?

I’ve always thought he’s really cute, but this isn’t my type of bod. Too chiseled. Not body shaming. Workout shaming.
I tend to lean toward medium level bodies. Men that are very thin or very muscular and bulky make me uncomfy. Mr. Crowhood has the remains of a former soccer player wrapped up in a nice, comfy, 37 year old body. Vin can get it from me!
Yessss my gurl Deepika Padukone looks amazing! Also I’m glad she got to keep her Indian accent in the movie <3 I haven't seen any of the movies but now I'm intrigued, mostly because I think Vin Diesel is such a sweetheart

Don’t really like bodies that muscle-y. But I do like bald and Vin’s growly voice makes me tingly so I definitely would.
He’s an action star so I’m sure he feels pressure to maintain a certain look. No where near the insane amount of pressure women in Hollywood (or women in general) go through but it’s there.
Not my thing. I like my men a little more wiry, personally. Also not into bald dudes.
I have a funny Vin Diesel story, though. A friend of mine who works on sets as an extra was actually working on the new XXX movie along with a female friend of his. Apparently they were filming some beach party scene, and Vin was totally rubbernecking my friend’s friend throughout the whole thing. After they wrapped and the extras were in their holding pen, they were informed that Vin wanted to personally speak to the blonde extra in the blue bikini. Every blonde in a blue bikini except my friend’s friend went to go meet with Vin, because she’s pretty shy and reserved and thought there was no way Vin wanted to see her. But as every girl was sent back, the announcements about this mystery blonde got more and more specific, until finally my friend convinced her to go. She and Vin ended up exchanging numbers, and Vin started following her around the sets for the remainder of filming. He kept texting her when she was with her fellow extra pals, and he got really miffed that she wouldn’t come to his trailer. He was even getting his people to keep tabs on the guys she was hanging out with on set. One day, my friend was just standing around waiting to be called to film, and Vin Diesel himself just stood in front of my friend and looked him straight in the eye, said absolutely nothing, and just oh-so-casually stretched while staring really intently at him. Then he just walked off. And as much as I adore my friend, he’s not exactly physically intimidating, so the idea of Vin Diesel feeling threatened by him is hilarious. My friend’s friend eventually had some fun with Vin, though…apparently Mr. Diesel is into tickle fights. 😀
Lol, I hope we get to see both of them in the film, your friend and her. When Vin Diesel came to Brazil he hooked up with one of our many fitness “models “. The way he talked about Brazilian women was pretty douchey, as we’re used to hear from guys. But he really seems to be a good person, if that makes sense.
Oh yeah, my friend said he didn’t seem creepy or threatening, just like a pouty teen. And my friend’s friend said he was really nice to her when they were together. Also, when she came to his hotel room and he opened the door, he had the song that was playing during the beach party scene on. Smoooooth operatah. 😉
While the story is really cute I must put a damper on it. Wasn’t Vin still with his longtime girlfriend Paloma who he has three kids with. They only separated April of this year. XXX was filmed last year. He’s such a dirty cheater but I still adore him.
Actually he wasn’t in the second one. There was some sort of conflict, and as I recall he chose Riddick over XxX. Ice cube? I think? Was the lead in the second.
