I can’t picture Criminal Minds without Thomas Gibson. I can barely picture it without Shemar. Loving watching Aisha on there though!
He’s good on the show but he should never have gotten physical in an argument. The suspension was fair. Aisha is a good fit on there.
We started watching it a couple months ago – going through all of the episodes. I think I’ve hit my saturation point of the show in the last couple weeks because it just makes me angry. It’s kind of a terribly written mess. It’s entertaining, but when you’re watching episode after episode, you really start to notice how awful the characters are.
That being said – I’ve heard Gibson has had problems with staff other times over the years – possibly with Shemar and Patinkin. He’s had a lot of trouble with his agent as well which included a lawsuit that talked about his bad behavior. Still though – I think he’s about the only character that doesn’t make me feel stabby.
I’m curious to see how long the show will last now that Shemar’s gone. CBS has treated the actresses like crap over the years – which is why JJ and Emily characters disappeared for a while.
I love watching the show–but I just watched the last season, and I found ONE episode to be really good, the rest are meh. The first three seasons, I would say are fantastic…….and then the seasons that focus on Emily and JJ’s stories are really, really good…….and then the rest are basically meh.
The show was a lot more……”intelligent” I think when Mandy Patinkin was on.
And CBS sucks, because the first ones to get the chopping block when they need the money are the women. Shemar Moore and Mandy Patinkin chose to leave…..
Agree. Some of the characters are just awful. I hate, hate, hate the relationship (and charater) of Garcia and Derrick. I have worked in places with those kind of people making constant innuendo and flirting and it’s gross and makes everyone feel uncomfortable. There are a lot of problems with other characters but I still like the show. Even some of the Emily stories were ridiculous. CBS indeed treats the women actors like shit on their shoes.
Mandy Patinkin has a history of bailing on shows and leaving his cast members hanging when he gets bored.
Thomas has some messy stuff in his personal life and marriage but he’s an okay actor.
That Austin Wilkerson. story makes me furious.
Me too. Ugh. I’m getting ready to send my oldest off to college and knowing there are such dirtbags out there makes me really angry (and worried.)
I can not wrap my head around criminal justice in this country anymore—the very root of our nation is white boys rape woman and get nothing, black people do nothing and get shot. ENOUGH.

Not surprised about Thomas Gibson of Criminal Minds. A friend worked with him a couple of seasons ago, she was a medical expert they called in. He was a diva jerk. I find it hard to look at his smug face these days.
Just putting it out there: Blindspot is a really good show (re: Jaimie Alexander above). If you’re interested in a reasonably diverse cast. It’s more of an ensemble like Grey’s anatomy than X-Files. The two leads are white but the woman is a navy seal. The other two mains are a black man and a latin woman while the chief is an over 40, black lesbian. CCH Pounder who I’ve loved watching since Law and Order. Oh, and the science-y nerd-tech is white but a young woman. It’s a cop show so every episode the new bad guy and good guy. These seem to be pretty well mixed too. Anyway, seems like someone’s trying get better, plus a good show:)
