Did Katy Perry register some song titles that reference Taylor Swift?

We joke a lot about the list Taylor Swift is keeping these days, but I think it’s probably true. She’s being TOO quiet. She’s biding her time. She’s updating her Sh-t List on a daily basis. She’s archiving references for her blind item songs and plotting out her next album and promotional tour, which will feature so many interviews about how she’s the biggest victim in the world. But it’s also good to remember that the wig has been snatched and there’s no going back. Taylor has made enemies of some powerful, respected and well-liked people in the music industry. People like… Katy Perry. While the world has been wondering if Taylor will drop a Beyonce-style surprise album sometime soon, I think it’s more than possible that Katy Perry will have an album out before Taylor. According to Star Mag, Katy has already registered some song titles which sound absolutely AMAZING.

Katy Perry is about to show Taylor Swift that she’s not the only one who can write a diss track – or a whole album of them! Taylor infamously made an enemy of Katy with her song “Bad Blood,” and now that friends and fans alike are turning on Taylor in the wake of her drama with Kanye West, Katy is more than happy to capitalize on Taylor’s damaged image.

Star can rveal that Katy has registered the song titles “Crocodile Tears” and “She’s So Creepy,” as well as “Last Cry” and “Victory.”

“Katy has so many ideas – and she just finished a song about karma and how trying to smear someone’s name can bite you in the butt,” says a source close to Katy. “Pretty much the entire album is going to be aimed at Taylor, and it will be SO obvious who the songs are about. Katy is kind of starting a musical WWIII.”

Crocodile Tears? SHE’S SO CREEPY? OMG. Some days, I really do love Katy. I’m sure Katy’s also registering these song titles: “Your Bolt-Ons Are Crooked” and “Fauxmance On The Rocks” and “She’s A Snake Emoji” and “I’m Going To Date Calvin Harris Just To F—k With You.” So much petty girl drama, my God. This is like Christmas.

    TEAM PETTY *grabs popcorn*

    • Runcmc says:

Right???? She’s been so quiet and classy about it until now, can’t wait to see her really bring it.

      • Bonzo says:

I’ve enjoyed a couple of her songs, but after being forced to learn more about Taylor (Grrr…thanks Tom), I am Team Katy all the way. I love her pointed remarks on Twitter about Taylor’s hypocrisy and the fact that Taylor’s mean girl antics will bring herself down eventually.

After looking at Katy’s Insta, she became the first and only actor I follow. I love her artsy, sassy, self-deprecating posts and how it differs so much from Taylor’s. It may be self-promotion, but it doesn’t reek of narcissism like Taylor’s does.

I’m looking forward to this new album.

      • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

Ooooh, so you think she’s effectively doing a ThirsTay and was only behaving about it so she could dish on an album? I’ve never thought about it that way! Gosh, I feel so excited right now!

    • Startup Spouse says:

Katy gets a 7/10 trolling score here. She could improve her troll score with song titles such as “Bloodbath” or “Tiddlywinks.”

    • C says:

      I like Katty ☺️

  2. OSTONE says:

I kind of doubt this story solely on the facts it’s Star magazine and the song titles are lame!

Now THAT’S a World War I can get behind!

That profile shot of taylor, I can’t imagine living like that. People crowding around, taking pics of your every move…..

  5. kittTEl says:

    Meh.

Sounds like Katy is copying Swift which is sad

    • AlleyCat says:

Copying Swift how? By writing songs about people?

I highly doubt her entire album will be about Taylor (which I’m sure she would have loved), but I wouldn’t mind a jab or two in a song. I will always be Team Katy. Taylor used her for publicity, and Katy has barely ever said a word about it. Just like basically all of Taylor’s “boyfriends”, yet her fans always say that Katy is being petty? I don’t get it!

      • Loopy says:

Taylor is so sensitive, where they even best buddies to begin with, dancers inter change tours all the time, its just business. Why did Katy owe her so much?

      • Lindsay says:

This is the first time I have seen Katy Perry called petty. She has been very restrained through out all of this. She has just sent out a cryptic tweet or two and allowed dancers she had previously toured with to rejoin her when she began touring again and dated John Mayer (which is apparently high treason in Taymerica). However, writing a whole album about a girl you have met a handful of times is petty and a bit creepy obsessive. Their squabble was quite, thinly veiled references and didn’t require Obama to weigh in.

We are so lucky Taylor Swift blessed us with the idea to write songs about events and people in your life. It makes her songs seem so much more personal. No wonder Katy and Kanye (and pretty much everyone else) stole her idea. And they gave Lin-Manuel Miranda the MacArthur Genius Grant even though Taylor changed songwriting forever. She was robbed! (/s)

    • Bonzo says:

Katy has shown maturity through this whole thing. The fact is, if the dancers were unsatisfied working for Taylor, it’s their rightful choice to take another job. It’s the way of business. If Katy has a more appealing situation for them to work, it doesn’t make Katy a terrible person.

Taylor’s the petty, jealous one that’s a poor loser and it’s her issues that cause all the “bad blood”. With the exception of the 2009 VMA incident in which Taylor came out smelling like a rose, Taylor has always been the one to instigate her public feuds by making a statement either in an interview, on stage or in her songs against someone. Those she attacks have to choose to either respond or stay silent. I think all three shady tweets in reference to Taylor were entirely appropriate.

  6. Loopy says:

I think Katy should continue to take the high road and not stoop.

  7. Naya says:

Those titles seem fake to me. “Shes so creepy”? Its like they are intended to freak a certain snakey snake out rather than be actual songs. Katy is smart, she knows jumping into the pile now will not be a good look for her. I think registering the titles and letting it be known is just a warning to Taylor, nothing more.

  8. Jojo says:

Since its recently reported Katy is still up Dr Lukes ass, I don’t think she has any leg to stand on really with throwing shade anywhere …

    • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

Okay, what? Are we really blaming women for their boyfriend’s or husband’s or producer’s behavior now?

      • Lindsay says:

No, this is similar to when people dislike someone because they chose to work with Woody Allen or Roman Polanski. It is a choice to overlook their history and doing the required mental gymnastics to justify it because it benefits your career. He is tormenting Kesha currently (unlike the other two who’s crimes happened decades ago). The least she could do is stop working with him so her record label can’t justify re-signing him because he works with another one of their biggest stars. Unlike the actors, she can make a difference and is using her influence to keep a verbally, emotionally, and sexually abusive person employed and supplied with new victims that are desperate and powerless as well as young and pretty.

  9. pikawho? says:

I love this and I really want “crocodile tears” to drop as a random single in September when Taylor is at the Emmy’s with her famewhore doubles partner. All of their red carpet questions will be about Katy.

I also hope Rihanna is featured on one of these tracks. Katy and her are tight, I think?

    • Lynnie says:

They were, but I think there was a cooling off between them when Rihanna went back to Chris Brown. Haven’t really seen them hang out since then

    • Greenleaf says:

      famewhore doubles partner, brilliant.

  10. Ninks says:

Both of these women annoy me in the extreme and I wish they would both just stick to releasing catchy tunes and stop with all the drama.

  11. site says:

    good point….

  12. Song title, “Your Bolt-Ons Are Crooked”

    Hahahahahaha!!!!!!

  13. Dippit says:

The videos for these tracks… oh for the videos.

    It’ll be Anti-Homage to TayTay’s video optics.

  14. Jane says:

This is a great form of publicity, because some people will be seriously anticipating KP’s next album to see if those songs are really about Tay-Tay. They’ll dissect each song to extremes, and make for future click-bate and gossip. It’s all part of the game, folks.

  15. K says:

Probably not true but funny if it was crocodile tears is clever.

  16. Feebee says:

One of the lines in She’s So Creepy reads Who would make him wear that t-shirt?

  17. Hausfrau says:

Am I alone in seeing something different about Katy’s face in the top photo? The eyes are different…

  18. Christin says:

Simplest thing would be to do a cover of the classic, ‘Who’s Sorry Now’. The twice repeated part seems fitting:

“Right to the end, just like a friend, I tried to warn you somehow. You had your way. Now you must pay. I’m glad that you’re sorry now.”

  19. ana says:

    Auto tune queen.

  20. Lucy says:

Or it could also be that Katy is trolling all of us big time, which wouldn’t surprise me, given the fact that, unlike Taylor, she actually has a sense of humor. At least for now, I still won’t call Katy “petty”, since she hasn’t really given me that impression.

  21. Lacey says:

I kinda feel sorry for Katy actually. Her Olympic single has bombed. She got her boyfriend to haul his dick out 2x in public for PR and it really didn’t go garner anywhere near the amount of attention Taylor got for HiddleSwift and they didn’t even have to take their clothes off to get that kind of PR. Plus why is no one talking about how not into it she looked in their PDA beach pics? Anyway, I feel like she’s just desperately trying to get a hit and it’s just not happening for her right now and I’m sorry working with the highly shady Dr. Luke and doing an entire album of shade on Taylor isn’t going to get her there either. It just looks petty and desperate on her part.

    • AlleyCat says:

I have a strong dislike for Taylor, and I don’t care for Katy, but this is so ridiculous, you actually made me laugh. I highly doubt the naked photos were for PR, and really, the only reason TayTo received so much attention was for the fact that everybody is laughing AT them. It was also rumored that Taylor tried to get one of her songs picked for the Olympics, yet they picked Katy’s. And considering the source of this is from Star, I’m going to have to say I highly doubt Katy is writing an album about Swifty.

  22. Arshasgas says:

Is it just me but this is so adolescent. I’m so tired of celebrities acting like they’re 8 years olds.

  23. Pcanbo says:

I’m not a super fan of either swift or perry, but i do like their music. I can’t stand the kartrashians. I’m reading here Perry has been mature, not saying anything, then I read swift is a coward, ect she’s hiding, because she hasn’t said anything since the trash keep trying to stay relevant by using her. Double standard… the media and trash keep needling her for further comments. Once u put the trash out , u sure in the hell don’t bring it back in. It goes to the dump. I hope Perry is more mature, they need to work on their music. Perry sucked at the Democratic convention. Sotry Perry, but u were better than Keyes.

  24. ECAM says:

I don’t know the ins and outs regarding Katy Perry so I’m genuinely curious – what makes her so popular with people in the music industry? Is it that she has a good work ethic and decent personality, and works well with others (along with looking like a real life Betty Boop). She always given the best songs even though she isn’t the best singer. For example imagine Firework being sung by Beyonce, Pink, Christina Aguilera or Mariah Carey – it would have raised the song to a whole new level.

    • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

Firework was co-written by Perry herself. She has a reputation for being a nice and professional person to work with.

  25. shannon says:

Lol! Taylor didn’t ‘invent’ diss tracks. Hello? Eminem anyone? I will never get why she gets so much shit for it.

  26. honestperson says:

its like christmas in august.so happy to see a wwiii ,and after this taylor will write more diss songs, cause her whole career is to sing diss songs.

  27. Jane Black says:

Trying to differentiate between Perry and Swift is like trying to differentiate between a moderate Republican and a conservative Democrat. How you could love one and hate the other beggars belief.

  28. Sana says:

Camel toe is the reason tights should never be worn as trousers. This is one trend that creeps me out- no matter how toned or skinny a girl is, it always looks so tacky.

  29. Jude says:

    She’s a snake emoji – hahahahahahahaha

Please may this album come soooooon.
