Omg he looks like he just came out of Kim and Kanye ‘s Kloset.WTF.

    • Sean says:

Pine won’t come out of anyone’s closet just yet

    • HeidiM says:

I don’t care for the styling, but Chris looks better than ever. I notice alot of the styling on the male celebs I don’t care for anymore. Who the hell picks out Skarsgard’s clothes for the Tarzan promo? It was so terrible.

  2. Zapp Brannigan says:

Is he in a Bee Gee’s tribute act now? Ah ha ha ha ha staying alive!

    • Liberty says:

LOL! Once again I see this Pine 70s look and I know for sure that if I had been of dating age in the 70s, I would have been home with a cat until the men’s styles changed, or out trying to find a leftover 60s hippie in central France, hahaha. oh my god

    • Vizia says:

      He needs some puka shells

    • Rayya Kirt says:

I didn’t think Chris Pine could look like a 4 foot tall ballet dancer for a hippie revival of “let the Sun Shine In” playing at a dinner theater in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Wednesday evenings….but he managed it. Tell me he would not star in that exact show.

  3. paleokifaru says:

That open letter to WB is amazing! She is completely on point the entire way through.

  4. Jane says:

Put a cap on him and he reminds me of Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd’s Festrunk brother’s Saturday Night Live routine from 30 something years ago. He’s like a third brother that was never mentioned.

  5. Bluebear says:

Those pants are so ill fitted, the pockets are bulging out like wings. Whomever styled him should give the guy an apology. He looks as though his ass is about to take flight.

  6. browniecakes says:

That may have looked good on his dad back in the CHIPs days, but just no.

    • ncboudicca says:

LOL! I thought the same “Looks like something Sgt Getraer would’ve worn on one of those disco episodes”

  7. KiddVicious says:

Sans a Belt, is that what those pants were called? He raided his dad’s closet.

  8. Izzy says:

The outfit is awful. Having said that, he is still all the hotness and I would hit it like a home run.

    • wood dragon says:

Now, if he still was sporting that longer hair and the ‘stache he wore in his new film he’d be all sorts of 70’s awesomeness.

  9. wood dragon says:

Not a great look on him, but he gets points from me for just not being the sort of actor rumored to be constantly fooling around with his leading ladies: engaged, married or not. (Ahem…you guys know of whom I speak.)
I am looking forward to his new movie though. It looks good and has the Dude in it too.

    • Fire Rabbit says:

Think it’s more an established fact at this point not just rumored. 😃

      • wood dragon says:

Just trying to be diplomatic at this point. He who shall remain unnamed in this post has some hard core sycophants over at imdb and it would do no good to rile them up.

  10. ashley says:

There is nothing hot about this. He is wearing so much makeup.

  11. roses says:

Meh to Pines fashion but his movie Hell or High Water is getting great reviews. Its sitting at 100% on rottentomatoe right now. David Macknzie that directed Starred with Up with Jack O’Connell also did this film so definitely will be watching this.

The letter from ex-WB employee confirms that Wonder Woman will be a mess

    • alice says:

I call this BS. How come an employee who got fired in 2014 knows about how a movie still in postproduction will turn out? I mean, WW is an easy target based on WB’s latest disasters and also bc Snyder is a producer, but it doesn’t make any sense.

      • jinni says:

Well they may still be in contact with co-workers that are working on it and heard things from them. Just because they no longer work for WB, doesn’t mean they severed all ties to everyone working for WB.

      • alice says:

I doubt it, since it could be potentially a real problem to those co-workers spilling the beans. NDA you know, in the entertainment business are BRUTAL.

      • SM says:

I was under the impression the person is describing layoffs in 2014, when this particular person kept the job. The letter does not specify when he/she left WB. And bravo. Bless Pine’s heart but that letter should get more attention. This is so right. Even we the film fans forget that there are real jobs at stake behind all the stars, gossip and box office returns.

      • Bridget says:

The person specifically says they survived the 2014 layoffs.

And NDAs are a little hard to enforce when it’s anonymous. Not to mention, why do you think WB has NDAs in the first place for things that aren’t trade secrets? The movie industry is filled with insider reports and preview reports. There’s an entire industry about insider info. Studios are pretty much the leakiest businesses around – it’s why its such a big deal when there are productions that keep things secret (which also lends to the idea that only specific productions have NDAs).

      • cr says:

I think the WB letter writer is legit, in that they worked for WB and are not happy with the way things are going.
But, something tells me that this was a mid/low level employee and probably doesn’t has that much ‘insider’ information, especially now that they’re not working there.
And that’s something to remember when you read trade magazines talk about ‘sources’, some of their sources may not really be in position to know much of actual numbers/facts, but definitely in a position to pass along gossip.

  13. jinni says:

It’s a good thing that that the Peeping Tom was caught. I remember hearing a while back that Depp had hired a private investigator to investigate him on the pirates set . So sick that he was doing that to all of those people especially his own sister in law on her honeymoon.

  14. alice says:

I like Chris, but he’s taking his metrosexual arse a bit to an extreme now, when it comes to fashion. A guy that pays too much attention to his wardrobe, as he obviously does, comes out to my eyes like an attention seeker, a narcissist looking for spotlight and validation. Who wants to be with a guy who spends hours in front of a mirror trying outfits and dreaming about what people would say bout him? Because that’s what someone who dresses like Chris certainly does.

  15. Nina says:

he looks like a homophobic caricature.

  16. AustenGirl says:

I find it a bit sexist to harshly criticize Chris Pine for his sartorial experiments. Women’s fashion samples from previous decades all the time, and we frequently praise women who push the fashion envelope in various ways. These women clearly spend a lot of time in front of a mirror or otherwise absorbed with their looks, but few are labeled narcissistic.

Personally, I think Chris’s look is a miss because the clothes are ill-fitting. But, I won’t shackle him in gendered norms by criticizing his effort to try new looks on the red carpet.

    • BettyD says:

I don’t judge him for wanting to experiment with clothes. I judge him for wanting to experiment with ugly clothes that fit badly.

  17. Ji-yun says:

He looks like he should be in a 1970s set Twilight revival in that last pic.

  18. Brit says:

I like him. He comes across as smart in his interviews and seems non famewhoreish

  19. I Choose Me says:

Terrible outfit and why does he look like a wax copy of himself. Too much makeup perhaps?

  20. minx says:

My husband wore that stuff in 1977.

  21. Rhiley says:

The letter to WB is fascinating. The writer brilliantly depicts how the heads of the WB as a bunch of gluttonous, wasteful fools which is sad because, as it is in many industries, it is the poor in WB Land who suffer.

  22. Caitiecait says:

I agree 100% about Ariel Winter, her style is beyond tacky. Why short-shorts with knee high boots? They don’t work together!!

  23. jinglebellsmell says:

This could have been a great look if the pants were not cut like…oversized diapers???? Which were btw NOT a look in the 70’s!!!!

  24. Fire Rabbit says:

Wow. Uh. Those pants…pockets…yeah. He looks pale. He looks better with a little beard I think. To balance out, um, things.
Glad to hear the reviews for his movie are good. My husband wants to go see it. An adult movie he said, without animated CGI talking animals or superheroes. The trailer looks good, it has an older, 1970s realism feel to it for me. Maybe that’s the tie-in for the red carpet look?

  25. Casi says:

That’s not his pocket. At least not on his right side. Hammaconda ahoy!

Regardless of his…pockets…I really like him in pretty much anything he’s in. I’ll see Hell or High Water for sure.

  26. coco says:

    Oh hi John Travolta

  27. Juluho says:

    I wouldn’t say no tho

  28. mazzie says:

His work style amuses me as his off-duty style seems to be ‘whatever stretched out t-shirt off the floor that smells ok’ over jeans and some ratty flip flops. Still would hit it since you can toss the clothes on the floor.

  29. khaveman says:

50 shades of awful. Hate the hair, hate the clothes. What is happening here? I’m so confused by the images.

  30. Anare says:

I find Chris Pine creepy looking. Would not hit it, ever. Ew. If he doesn’t have a stylist he needs one. If he has one he needs to fire them and get a new one.

  31. Joanie says:

The outfit is awful, but the film is fantastic.

  32. Mia4S says:

    Outfit? Bad

Movie? Stunningly good reviews. I mean, wow.

So that’s a win. Just get him a new stylist if the film gets awards attention….or a team, come on people! Look at those gorgeous eyes, make it work!

  33. Liberty says:

Hugh Jackman looks like he is channeling Jean Reno.

(Which, to me, is not a problem!)

  34. The Original Mia says:

Love Pine. The man loves to dress up, but runs around nude in his house. Me likey that! So I’ll forgive this bad choice and keep dreaming of an invite to his house.

I’ve been laughing and sharing that WB letter with all of my friends. We’re mostly Marvel gals but all were hoping WW would be good. Disappointing news about WW, but not unexpectedly with Snyder still at the helm.

  35. alice says:

I know Patty Jenkins is more a story teller than an action movie director and Snyder’s involvement goes to cover that particular aspect in WW, but just to link Chris Pine with the WB letter: WHY why on earth the love interest of the first female superhero has to get half the screen time of the first movie about her? that is outrageously wrong, why WB feels the need to cover their arse with a male pretty face movie star? Ok Gadot is not the best of the actresses and has not great charisma, ok they probably fear a Ghostbusters shade from fanboys, ok…OK? Nope. So disappointed if Jenkins is actually giving Pine so much screentime as the trailer suggests. Wonder F*** WOMAN. WOMAN. That what the movie is about. If Gadot is not enough then give more screentime to the fierce Amazons (and better actresses) Wright and Nielsen. You also have the beauty of Doutzen Kroes casted as an Amazon. MORE AMAZONS LESS PINE. Hear Patty?

    • Trixie says:

How do you know that Pine gets half the screentime? We’ve seen only a 2 minute trailer. You could fill an entire two minute trailer with The Joker from Suicide Squad (in fact, they pushed Joker hard in marketing) but that’s about as much screentime as Leto had in the film. Trailers are not movies.

  36. Rayya Kirt says:

I didn’t think Chris Pine could look like a 4 foot tall ballet dancer for a hippie revival of “let the Sun Shine In” playing at a dinner theater in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Wednesday evenings….but he managed it. Tell me he would not star in that exact show.

  37. Green Is Good says:

Damn, that WB employee open letter!

  38. Mrs. Darcy says:

The way he is posing it’s like he knows the outfit is terrible, he looks so awkward with the hands crossed pic. Beige /tan dress trousers should be relegated to the back of the fashion closet forever! The whole thing just looks too fancy dress/audition for American Hustle. I’m trying to think of an actor with dandy-ish fashion who could pull this off and I honestly can’t think of one, not even Cumby, it’s just the worst.
