I’m sorry, I really wish that I could believe Lindsay Lohan and most of the time I do give the person who accuses abuse the benefit of the doubt but I just don’t believe her right now. I believe that she is disgustingly claiming abuse for attention and to destroy another person she manipulated into a relationship.
Well, she pretty much is the classic Boy Who Cries Wolf. She’s lied so much, including about abuse. If Egor has a history of abusive behavior, he’s kept it very well hidden. We haven’t even seen any evidence of that on videos of the two of them when she is ranting and raving and stealing his phone. His reactions have been well controlled. Even when getting his phone back from her, he only exerted minimum force to keep her from tossing it in the ocean again. (He really needs a waterproof case desperately.) But her history of abusive behavior and lies to hurt other people or get money from them is very well documented.

Oh dear, she looks really, really unhealthy. I know that part of it is that horrendous mustard top, which is a color she should never ever wear again, however her eyes look puffy, glassy, zoned out.
No one has empathy for Lindsey in this moment? To me it is plausible that she feared this. He always seemed kind of like a spastic brat or something….
And let’s face it… most likely, her choosing to be with someone like him is due to the pressure she feels to have some normalcy in her life, because of the constant scrutiny and endless exposure in the media of all her flaws and foibles. This girl seems extremely vulnerable. Her life situation made her vulnerable from the get go. She must feel so powerless. I will always have empathy for her and be on her side. Glad she’s okay.
Perhaps it’s a bit cynical, but her choosing to have someone like him in her life seems to be due to the pressure she feels to get someone else to pay her bills.
Yes, the attraction is financial. I think her career is going nowhere and she might have had high hopes after the play, when people were amazed she actually showed up night after night even though her performance was wooden and amateurish. She may be aging out of previous arrangements with very rich men (much richer than Egor). She has a sad life, even though she is most likely lying about all this.

But also– the pressure to be wth *someone* — anyone…. Just not to be alone. I imagine she feels this rather acutely. She just seems so disconnected from the world of people who should be her peers.
Honestly, I find it quite alarming how this woman is spoken about on this site. A lot of judgement and no empathy from commenters who are usually a lot more measured and far kinder.
