Kylie Jenner decorated her house for Halloween: too soon or awesome?

Kylie Jenner Out And About In West Hollywood
In the paparazzi photos at the bottom of this post Kylie Jenner, Tyga and Kendall Jenner are outside Kylie’s best friend Jordyn Woods’s birthday party in West Hollywood Saturday night. Kylie still has platinum hair after two and a half weeks, which has to be some kind of record for her. She was in a tight pleather brown mini dress with netting which I actually like. She looks kind of glam here. From what I can see of Kendall’s outfit she’s a hot 90s mess but that’s nothing new from her.

We’re here to talk about Kylie Jenner’s Halloween decorations, which are somewhat epic judging by her Snapchats. She has a giant spider on her roof, huge spiderwebs all over and a bunch of skeletons hanging around. There’s also a zombie statue right by the door. Kylie posted a quick video where she walks around and shows the front entrance of her mansion. A couple of staff members are visible working on the decorations. She says “I decorated my house for Halloween. So cute!” It’s like she’s seeing it for the first time and yet she’s still taking credit for it.

I have to admit that when I first saw this story I googled giant spider decorations and found some on Amazon which were tempting. (Warning: Do not google “Giant Spiders Amazon” because you will get actual giant spiders from the rainforest. You cannot unsee that.) I really like that giant spider on the roof and I would do that. It would require way too much work for me to put it on the roof and pose it right so it doesn’t fall off, and so would putting all those spiderwebs around, not to mention the cleanup. Kylie is getting other people to do it so it’s not a big deal to her. That said, I do put out like a graveyard full of styrofoam fake headstones along with plastic rats, fake little gates, and some skeleton stuff. It’s fun to go all out for Halloween but the rule is that you can’t decorate until October 1 right? Kylie is clueless about a lot of things but I assume she would know this. She also knows that going all out for Halloween earlier will get her more attention for her social media posts.

I have to say, I like Kendalls style so much more

  2. OrigialTessa says:

I love that spider. It’s the next major holiday. It’s not too soon imo.

  3. Brittney B. says:

That last Instagram picture is the scariest by far…

    • Snowflake says:

      Lol

    • Lexie says:

I know, right? Kylie’s been in costume for a couple years now.

    • Kitten says:

      Ha…truly.
Also, I’m so over the Groucho Marx eyebrow trend. The current brow obsession is something we’ll look back at in 10 years and laugh hysterically about.

I’m all about full brows–don’t get me wrong–but the caterpillar thing is just awful.

      • eggy weggs says:

I am so with you, @Kitten. I have huge, natural brows that I shape on the reg. These big brows on these little girls often look like they were drawn on with a greasepaint; slimy, one-dimensional caterpillars.

    • Val says:

What I thought was really weird is this huge birthday party for Jordyn… who barely cracked a smile and had 0 energy… it looks like she was lobotomised…

      • Delta Juliet says:

I don’t think it’s cool to smile. You are supposed to smoulder sexily instead.

But then, I grin like a maniac for every picture so what do I know.

  4. Jenns says:

I love Halloween and decorated this weekend. I usually wait until October, but it’s been so damn hot here and this was the first weekend were it actually felt like fall, so I busted out the decorations.

    • swak says:

Sometimes you have to go with the weather. We’ve had lots of rain on the weekends. I don’t do a lot for Halloween, but with Christmas lights I sometimes get them up before Thanksgiving but don’t put them on until after just because of the weather. It’s only a week before Oct 1 – no biggie.

      • Size Does Matter says:

I agree, go with the weather. I’ve missed the window several times waiting for the “appropriate” time to put up outdoor Christmas lights.

  5. Purple Nymphe says:

Forgot about this one for a hot minute. Its almostva relief to read a non Brange story. Kylie Jenner stories are so numbing at best. How bland and blank can a person be? I feel nothing from this one or her sister Kendall.

  6. JFresh says:

She’s like a 12-year old with a big playhouse all her own.

Oh such a strange and unjust world this be

  7. Halah says:

I can’t hate on this, Kylie is living my best 19yr old life (if I had been a millionaire 19yr old). Yes girl, put your decorations up early and pay some plebs to do it for you! I would have loved nothing more as a teenager than to blow a bunch of dough on freaky Halloween decorations!

  8. Nancy says:

She couldn’t wait to be 18, looks 25 will be burned out by 30 yet still acts like a child and can’t wait to decorate for Halloween. Poor little lost Kylie. As soon as the spider comes down, Santa will be up. I guess this is the result of denying yourself a childhood.

  9. ML says:

Is that the front door to her mega-mansion?! It’s a cheesy front door like I’m going to my dentist’s office. What’s up with that?!

  10. swak says:

One of the houses around here has a huge spider on a spider web on the side of the house and I love it. That being said, does it surprise anyone that she takes the credit for decorating because you know the started wigs and braids and etc.

  11. OSTONE says:

Never will I ever judge folks who put their decor up too early. Wanna decorate for Halloween before its time? So what! I’m decorating for it tomorrow because I am having a tough few weeks and thinking about decorating makes me happy!

    • Kitten says:

I agree. What’s the harm? I live in a very residential part of the city with tons of young families and kids. We do Halloween pretty big out here, with haunted houses and full decorations on display sometimes a month or two ahead of time.
It’s fun and it makes me smile, the kids enjoy it, so what?

    • Tifygodess24 says:

I could never ever put a giant spider on my house. That’s the stuff my nightmares are made of. I go the cutesy route. πŸ™‚
One of my neighbors actually had her Halloween stuff up mid-August. Now that’s a bit early in my eyes but I just assumed she really just loves herself some Halloween. Haha. How she feels about Halloween is how I am with Christmas. By the end of October I’m ready to pop up a tree and decorate!

    • Brittney B. says:

I just bought my first house and cannot WAIT to fill it with Halloween decorations this week. But our homeowners association prohibits outdoor decorations more than 30 days out from the holiday itself! I guess I’ll have to wait until this weekend… that giant spider is making me so jealous.

  12. AlleyCat says:

Who made up that rule? That’s stupid! Decorate when you want to! I decorate for Christmas the day after thanksgiving. IDGAF! If I had tons of money, I would be going the same thing.

    • We Are All Made of Stars says:

The day after Thanksgiving is called self-restraint, remember? πŸ™‚

    • Anon33 says:

My husband and I have made it a (no-kids) tradition: we both take off on Black Friday, get the cheesiest Christmas pjs we can find and stock up on seasonal treats beforehand (Hickory Farms, hot chocolate.) Then we watch all our favorite holiday movies while we decorate, wearing our cheesy pjs and eating our snacks. It’s my favorite weekend of the year!

    • swak says:

Always thought the day after Thanksgiving was okay to start decorating for Christmas – not too soon in my book. Reason I say this is because the start of the Christmas Season (at least when I was growing up) began with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade where Santa is the last float to signify the start of the Christmas season.

    • HK9 says:

I have a Santa that hangs on my front door knob (on the inside) at home all year round and I don’t care, so I can’t hate on her for decorating for Halloween.

  13. Chef Grace says:

I would leave it up year round.
I saw a two story house that had skeletons crawling up the side, with one dangling from the roof with hand extended to help. LOL.
I have too many health issues to hang skeletons. I would end up being a real one if I tried LOL.

  14. mj says:

Yeah, no such thing as too early–Halloween all the time! I’m in my 30s and if I had the money and resources, I would be like this. I really can’t hate on it.

  15. M.A.F. says:

I’ve never heard of any rule surrounding decorating for Halloween. It’s never too soon for Halloween decorations frankly. Christmas, yes. No Christmas decorations should go up until after Thanksgiving.

  16. Moon says:

My first thought when I saw her picture was ‘this looks so much like Kim’. It’s a shame Kylie’s gotten so much surgery. When you see photos of her from 3 years or so ago, it’s like a different person.

  17. Brandi says:

Not a fan of Kylie but I cannot hate on someone for decorating for a holiday!! It’s fun and harmless. I always start putting out Halloween decorations around Labor Day. I start inside and work my way out. I have never heard anyone mention a rule about when to decorate. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I want time to enjoy my decorations.

    • Alarmjaguar says:

I have a personal rule b/c my birthday is at the end of September, so no decorations until after that. And no Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. I like to give each holiday its due.

  18. Aud says:

Definitely NOT too soon. As far as I’m concerned, September starts the Halloween season!

  19. Michelina says:

I actually love it when Kylie does things that actually remind me that she’s only 19-years-old. Also, I personally absolutely love Halloween and I’m always really happy to see people have decorated. As a matter of fact, on my daily commute, I pass 3 or 4 houses that have already put up their decorations and it makes me smile every day. I think it’s important to keep some elements of your childhood alive. Getting excited for holidays is one of those things for me. I thought this was cute.

  20. cicada says:

Halloween is awesome and it’s never too early for it after Labor Day, IMO. I think her decorations are cute though I wonder if she actually put them up herself.

  21. Hazel says:

Halloween decorations & candy were here (Hawaii) in the stores in August. August!

  22. Kate #2 says:

Is she still going with that whole “I didn’t get a boob job, I’m on my period thing?” Because um….. that’s the longest period ever and should probably get that checked out.

  23. Christine says:

I usually decorate a weekend or two after Labor Day. Halloween is one of those holidays that sneaks up but I have a ton of decorations for, so why not put them up a few weeks early so I get to enjoy them? I do have a rule not to encroach on Thanksgiving with Christmas decorations, but you better believe they’re going up a day or two after.

  24. Alder says:

Is anyone else getting Holly Madison vibes here?

    • Bunnybear says:

At first I was like “Bridgett was the one who loved Halloween!!” but then I realized you meant Kylie’s look is giving you Holly Madison vibes, which I can kinda see btw.
Also Im a little ashamed I remember so much about The Girls Next Door.

    • JackieM says:

      I thought Holly Madison too.

  25. kimbers says:

    Just clicked to say

No this past weekend was perfect for halloween d3corating!!!! Enjoy the fun!!

  26. Tough Cookie says:

I saw the giant spider last year at Costco and made my husband stand next to it so I could get a pic (he hates spiders LOL.) So maybe Kylie (or more likely her staff) shops at Costco?

  27. Jessie says:

I like that she had her house decorated so early, it shows the poor thing still has a soul. I’m completely supportive of doing whatever you want to your body and wearing whatever you want, etc, but she seems so “little girl lost” to me. It makes me sad, like she never really got to be a kid πŸ™

  28. Louise177 says:

What’s too soon now? I saw Halloween decorations in stores in early August.

  29. Donna Martin says:

    My house is already decorated!
