Ciara and Russell Wilson got married back in July. They went to England for the wedding and the whole thing went down at a castle and so many people came out to celebrate them. I thought the bride’s wedding gown was tacky, but that’s another conversation. Russell and Ciara rather famously decided to wait to have sex until after the wedding. It was a little bit like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted, considering Ciara already has a child and Russell was no virgin. But sure. They made that promise and they stuck with it. Apparently, they were really enjoying their honeymoon and Russell took her to the Bone Zone all over the place. And surprise! She probably got pregnant on her honeymoon.
Is Ciara about to become a mom again? That’s the question on many fans’ minds recently, particularly on the heels of her recent public appearance as Revlon’s newest global brand ambassador. The “Goodies” songstress arrived to the Refinery Hotel in New York City on Tuesday night in honor of the brand dressed in an all-white ensemble with a loose fitting tuxedo jacket.
“Baby bumpin,” one fan commented on Instagram. “Exactly…,” another fan quipped back.
While she has not commented on the speculation, two sources do tell E! News the 30-year-old is expecting.
“Ciara is pregnant and is so excited to be a mom,” one source told E! News. “Russell [Wilson] would like to have two to three children. They both would like a big family.”
This is what concerned me about the whole “not giving up the cookies until you get the ring” thing – like, what fun is it if you get pregnant right away? What is this, the 1950s? Enjoy yourselves for a year, then get pregnant! But whatever, it’s not my body or my marriage. I’m guessing Ciara probably is knocked up, and she’s probably about thirteen weeks, matching up nearly exactly to the honeymoon. Congrats you two crazy kids!

I didn’t really get abstaining until marriage either until I read this great book written by actress Meagen Good and her husband Devon Franklin called “The Wait :Finding the Love of your Life through Abstinence”. It’s for people who have had failed relationships before and want to try something different.Rather than rushing into a sexual relationship,waiting and focusing on intimacy rather than sex.
I get the concept and I think if a couple thinks this works for them then by all means. What grinds my gears is telling everyone all about it. I really don’t want to hear/read about how much sex anyone is having or NOT having. Which is why I side-eyed the Jonas Brothers for their purity rings, Jada for oversharing about her and Will’s sex life and Robin Wright for boasting about how many O’s she was getting with her former fiance Ben Foster. Cuz, obviously, now all that knowledge is in my brain and I’d rather it not be thank you very much.

Ciara already has a young child so it’s not like they can live like free-wheeling newlyweds anyways. She’s 31 and probably wants to dedicate that 30s energy to raise 3 more kids (if that’s the plan). Happy for them!

Why does abstinence and no birth control have to go hand-in-hand? I kinda get the abstinence thing, but I would not get pregnant right away in a brand new marriage. JMO.
Russell Wilson makes me roll my eyes so hard it could result in a sprain, but I do kind of like Ciara. I’m a Patriots fan, you guys, this is the most reasonable it’s going to get haha! I don’t personally get the whole waiting ’til marriage thing…say it with me in the Blanche Devereaux voice…”Well, I certainly didn’t wait for my wedding night, honey. I couldn’t – I had these urges.”, but if it worked for them, mazel tov y’all. You know what’s super sweet? They can show their progeny those gloriously cringey snapchats ol’ Russ made about their post wedding bonin’!

I get the abstinence thing. I dated my husband for a year and a half when I was in my twenties. We had lots of sex during that time, I wasn’t ready to be tied down so broke off the relationship. 11 years later, we ran into each other, got back together but decided to practice abstinence until we got married. Even though we’d had great sex in the past, it was even better once the wedding night came around because we’d spent time really getting to know one another before we jumped the broom without the sex haze colouring everything.
