I have no idea what possessed me to click on this Daily Mail story, but I was glad I did because I learned something new: there are persistent rumors that Alexa Chung and Alexander Skarsgard are no more. Alexa and Alex started up in early 2015 – we first heard that they were together in February 2015. They kept their relationship pretty low-key, although they were photographed together every so often, especially when it came time for Alex to promote Tarzan. They were still together over the summer, although we didn’t hear much about them after August of this year. And now the Daily Mail is taking it as fait accompli that they’re over, mostly because Alexa has been canoodling with various men, like Father John Misty.
Alexa Chung just launched a new Marks & Spencer collection. But last week, the British model was spotted hanging out with American singer-songwriter Joshua Tillman, who goes by Father John Misty. The duo were seen enjoying each other’s company outside of Jones Bar in Los Angeles.
Though the two were seen getting close on the streets outside the bar and embracing, their relationship is strictly platonic. The 35-year-old Indie star and Chung were joined by several friends while they goofed around on the streets of Hollywood.
Joshua Tillman is married to photographer Emma Elizabeth and Alexa has been spending some time with her ex Matthew Hitt after his split from Dakota Johnson. She used to date Tarzan star Alexander Skarksgard.
So I went into the internet well and tried to figure out the last time anyone talked about Alex and Alexa being together…and I found this story, from September, where Alexa went to one of Alex’s premieres in London. Other than that, it seems like they have either broken up or cooled down significantly. Do you think they’re complete done and Alexa is trying to let people know that she’s down for canoodling with Father John Misty and Matthew Hitt? Perhaps.

No, he was literally with her and her friends and family this weekend for her birthday. Her dad posted a picture of their family dinner with Alex in it on his Instagram (and deleted it after someone wrote a disgusting comment).
She’s been in London and New York working on her clothing line and he’s been filming in Berlin where she visited him. Despite what some crazy stans think they keep their relationship pretty private.

Can’t women and men just be friends and enjoy a drink without their SO once in a while without everyone assuming that they’re banging? Josh Tillman seems happily married, he dedicated a whole album to his wife and she follows him on tour. So even if AC is now single, it doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s banging her ex and a married man

Most of my friends are male and thank god their girlfriends have the same mindset as me (my boyfriend have lots of girlfriends and spent some time with them of course!)
I work mostly with guys and spend a lot of time with them (like we go camping and rent cabins together), with or without their girlfriends. No one ever asked questions because everyone knows we’re all friends. I would truly hate a world where the only reason why boys and girls interact is to mate. I thought we were past this.
That being said, I would totally do FJM if he wasn’t married (but I could also restrain myself)

So… this is interesting. A few months ago I was sleuthing about and couldn’t figure out their relationship, so I joined a somewhat secret forum that discusses this very subject. They literally go months without seeing each other, and then bam – they’re together. It’s a very odd relationship, especially considering it’s going on 2 years. It wouldn’t be the type I chose for myself, at their ages, but hey – whatever floats your boat, right? I mean… if your boat only needs to be floated every few months that is…

I did think it was weird that she missed his 40th birthday in August, but they’ve been spotted in Berlin where he’s filming. @Carebare, I didn’t know he was there for her birthday. Who knows? Maybe they’re much more casual than anyone thought. Maybe they’ve decided to cool off because their schedules don’t quite mesh. Maybe they are still happy as cute little clams. Either way, that’s what I hope. I adore Alex and want him to be happy. Anyway, I’m so excited by all the projects he’s got going on: War on Everyone with Michael Peña, Big Little Lies with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, Mute with Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux, The Aftermath with Keira Knightly, The Kill Team with Dan Krauss and Nat Wolff, and now Fever Heart with Cara Delevingne. He’s a busy boy, and I love it!
The funny thing with the DM photo assumption potential is that she just looks so damn excited in the photos. I think she’s still a rocker-dating-girl at heart, though she’s trying to make it work with this boring actor fella.
I wouldn’t say this relationship was low key. She has been calling the paps and getting write ups in the daily mail and on just jared since the get go. I’d say by now there is more than a dozen, probably closer to two. I just don’t think people are as interested in him as they were when he was on true blood. She is trying to get attention though, which is nothing new for her.
Besides I doubt she cares if a musician is married (remember Chris Martin). She wants to be with a rocker, not an actor. She posts quite a few photos of famous groupies on her IG and she has always hung out with musicians. I suspect the main attraction of Skarsgard is his fame. It’s the only thing I can think of as to why she stays with him. You know she is desperate to post photos of them as a couple and walk red carpets together.
As for him, I guess he is just as vapid, shallow and empty as her, birds of a feather. I always thought he was all about privacy? Yet he is with another pap calling fame wh*re. And he hates smokers. Is anything he has said in an interview true?
You sort of sound like a Trump supporter. A normal person looks at this couple and sees regular people who don’t make a fuss. As evidenced by this post most people don’t even know that they’re still together. The last paparazzi pictures of them are from August that I can see. But no, you look at them and you see all sorts of conspiracy theories and you think you know these people that you most definitely don’t know and know what they’re thinking and their intentions. It’s pretty scary.
They seem very private, so it’s no big surprise if they aren’t spotted together 24/7.
