A drink, a smoke, a poke. Do what you need today lovely CBers to survive.

Much love and hugs from your northern neighbours.
Come for a visit if you want, our dollar is cheap and the poutine and beer are delicious.

On a sexiest man alive note, JT isn’t even the sexiest Justin, stop lying to us People.

I did literally all of that last night as I waited for the results. I smoked, drank beer, and when my fwb texted I drowned my sorrows in him. When I finally laid down for sleep I laid with my eyes wide open in bed repeatedly saying out loud “I can’t believe America chose him”. Then I cried myself to sleep. I woke up two hours later sick to my stomach. I am taking off work at lunch and drinking margaritas with my best friend and then going home to mope. We are all allowed a day at least to wallow.

      • detritus says:

Lunchtime margaritas sound like a lovely way to cope.
Take your enjoyment where you can =)

“On a sexiest man alive note, JT isn’t even the sexiest Justin,…”

Hahahaha! Whew… Oh. My. God. I soooooo needed that laugh today. Bless you…

      • detritus says:

Who would you pick for sexier Justin?
In the battle of the Justin’s I would take Theroux and his tiny slim jean clad legs over JT.
I think I would take Prime Minister Hot Hair Justin over JT too.

I dunno about the Biebs though. He may be sexier than Biebs.

      • Lama Bean says:

        Definitely Trudeau

  2. LinaLamont says:

    Taylor Swift…go away.

    • Marianne says:

Why? For taking a picture like the crap loads of other celebs? Or because she didnt publicly campaign for a certain person? Thats her right.

      • jerkface says:

I want her to go away because of her hair cut and her face and her sappy music and her part in perpetuating this squad nonsense. I also think people who love Law and Order SVU are closet creeps.

      • LinaLamont says:

        @Marianne
“Or because she didnt publicly campaign for a certain person?”

Stop projecting. I said two words…I implied nothing; you inferred everything.
The “crapload” of other celebrities used their public faces to “Get Out the Vote”.
I don’t care who she voted for, but, if she’s so big on letting us know that voting is important to her, she could have promoted that stance much earlier.

      • Lex says:

I LOOOVE Law&Order SVU – it teaches me how to outwit the creeps out there.

    • Elle R says:

No. I really feel like America needs one of her over-the-top romances at present. I long to snark about her staged PR shots.

    • Lama Bean says:

This was the place where I voted! I know exactly where she is stading.

  3. Becky says:

Straight, white men wouldn’t be influenced by Taylor anyway whoever she chose (apparently she voted early in TN).

  4. original kay says:

Thank you Kaiser, for all your hard work today, posting election results, and to all to CB for the past few months.
This site was/is a haven to us, a place where we can hope and dream and cry, and hope again for a better future.

    • Melly says:

I agree. This site has been my refuge from the craziness of this election. I’m going to need you ladies now more than ever.
I’m beyond devastated. We elected a man who would mock my mom for being disabled. We elected a man who sees me & other women as an object who’s worth is determined by looks. We elected a man who is willfully ignorant. We elected a thin-skinned narcissist. We elected a man who is going to take away my health insurance. My moms insurance is also gone, and she has several preexisting conditions and NEEDS INSURANCE to continue living. I’m terrified. I don’t want to lose my mom.

    • Janetdr says:

Yes, this has been so much safer than facebook.

  5. Fiorella says:

Pretty! Probably a filter but her hair looks very nice.

  6. jerkface says:

Every time someone posts about a Duggar a kitten dies. Why do so many people hate kittens?

  7. Lalu says:

I like that she didn’t publicly endorse anyone.

  8. Elle R says:

If anyone needs a laugh, Seth MacFarlane and Patton Oswalt have both been needed voices of humor and sanity on Twitter.

    • Lightpurple says:

Patton has been my giant teddy bear of sanity

      • SMD says:

I also need Colin, the veranda open and a pitcher of beverages! Also, I’m seriously considering proposing to Sixer cuz I luuuvv her so we can finally have a damn build-a-bear engagement of some kind!!!@ I’m not sure but so far for bridesmaids we have Light purple, M16, Grace, Chef Grace, Lina Lamont, Spidey, who else is in our ceremony of rainbows, glitter, fairy dresses and swan pastry tiered wedding cake?

  9. nicegirl says:

Yay to legal weed in those states.

  10. Mew says:

I’m just going to enjoy my popcorn here with all this entertainment. This is gonna be interesting! Let’s see how many promises he manages to keep!

  11. cherrypie says:

Why so secretive about who she is voting for and why wait until the final hour to post something about the elections? clearly she wont promote anybody or anything unless she stands to gain or make a profit from it. She stands for nothing imo

  12. Otaku Fairy says:

I don’t think she owed it to the public to openly support Hillary, but if her MOTIVE was about not wanting to alienate Trump Trash within this country, potentially swaying anyone, or worrying about not getting those bigot dollars and fan support, that’s pretty cowardly, selfish, short-sighted, calculating, and yes, anti-feminist on her part. I don’t fully believe she’s a supporter of Murrica’s newly-elected Dumpster Fire though. I think she did vote for Hillary but her motive for being secretive about it and not coming out against Trump was either because Katy Perry endorsed her, or because she knew this would all get her extra attention. If this was about Katy Perry, that’s still very petty and myopic of her, and goes back to all the things said about Taylor being an immature, insulated, bratty MeMeMe- feminist, but it’s not as bad the first motive (or worse, her actually being complicit Trump Trash). And I think any ladies and others around here who are still trying to argue that voting for a racist, KKK-endorsed, illogical, misogynistic rapist to be president is something we should all be impartial about and not criticize anyone about is being a little willfully ignorant. The safety and rights of women, people of color, gay, bisexual, and transgender people isn’t a topic to play the ‘Keep it neutral and be polite, welcoming, and impartial to both sides’ game about. Those of you who voted for Trump are showing what is or isn’t a priority for you and whose lives and rights don’t matter as much. Just remember that with the right to vote comes accountability.

    • Lalu says:

I am sure Taylor is sorry for offending you by saying nothing at all.
This election sure has brought out the worst in a lot of people, including the self righteous.

      • Otaku Fairy says:

“I am sure Taylor is sorry for offending you by saying nothing at all.” Sigh. Reading comprehension is clearly a bitch for some of these here ‘Murricans, man. My opinion wasn’t about her keeping silent about who she was voting for- like I said, she doesn’t owe it to us to be public about who she’s voting for- it was about some of the possible MOTIVES behind her silence about Trump and the election:
1.) Because she’s one of the many people responsible for this KKK (and other hate-movements)-endorsed, misogynistic, sex-offending racist being made president like all the rest of you who voted for him.
2.) Because she’s worried about alienating or not getting money from people who do support the predatory Vermillion Ad*lf as president.
3.) Because Hillary Clinton was endorsed by her rival, Katy Perry.
4.) She wanted attention. (which would explain the selfie.
5.) She just didn’t feel like discussing politics.

Three out of four of those motives would reveal different things about her character. #1 or #2 would be the worst ones, (but I’m about 90% sure it’s not #1. I think it’s either #3, #4, #5, or some combination of those). #3 would just show that she’s really petty. But it must be nice to be able to be convinced that the worst that has been or will be brought out by this election is some mildly impolite but lie-free and harmless criticism of peoples’ motives and your political beliefs- and the consequences of those beliefs. I’ll have whatever you’re drinking instead.

      • Lalu says:

I am pouring you a glass.

    • Becky says:

As Otaku says, any publicity from Taylor has always been self-serving. IMO she didn’t want to alienate her fanbase by openly supporting anyone.

I respect keeping your political views private, but I still think she’s an attention-seeking, publicity hungry, narcissistic, though attractive woman, with limited talent.

    • Deedee says:

Maybe she thought she was already overexposed?

  13. lightpurple says:

She voted for Hillary. She’s a feminist or Tom wouldn’t have dated her. He only dates feminists. Still hoping they get back together.

    • deevia says:

I don’t think some PR pieces and photo-ops qualify as “dating”. How does he find out if she is or isn’t “a feminist”? How do you know that was the deal breaker for all his exes?

    • QueenB says:

lol tom could have dated a feminist without being plastered all over the media you know. who she is as a person or who he is as a person and their political stances had nothing to do with their so called romance.

also Tom wore a sweater once with the word feminist on it, i know lots of women love to celebrate men for the most basic acts but seriously thats hardly proof of anything.

  14. SMD says:

Kaiser, can you officiate the wedding? Well Sixer you vixen I’m down on one knee with đŸ»đŸ’â€, say yes?!

  15. Kyrgios says:

As I ventured outside today I saw people working, kids going to school, friends talking and smiling. Life goes on.

  16. Christin says:

Oh, those fleeting days of late June and July, when a human muppet was cuddling and sliding with a pop star. Our assessment of said pop star’s growing bust and derriĂšre was sadly interrupted by our friends’ woes with Brexit.

I’ve thought about the commentary from that time, and how voters did not fully understand the repercussions of their choice.

I can’t slam Taylor for merely encouraging voting, as it’s sad how few actually exercise their right. We keep saying half the US is this or that, when half don’t vote at all!

  17. smd says:

Christin, you can definitely have a seat in the balcony on the grooms side. Apparently Tommy’s squad isn’t that large and his real loves Calliope, Esmerelda and Yvonne (Afghans from his fashion shoot)
have claimed front row seating privileges those blonde fringed hussies!
**On a sad and terrifying note a coworker yesterday casually stated that Hillary better hope Obama pardons her before he leaves office otherwise “that lying, crooked bitch is going to jail.” This was said calmly and with complete confidence and security. This is someone in upper management where I work, never, ever, in my wildest nightmares could I have imagined they felt this way or would feel comfortable enough to voice this opinion. Millenials and liberals over reacting to the Drumpf presidency, no not at all. My heart hurts and I’m terrified.
