Here are some photos of Prince Harry today, leading the Armistice Day/Remembrance Day services in the UK. In these photos, he’s attending the service at the National Memorial Arboretum. He’s wearing my favorite of his dress uniforms too. He was out yesterday at a high-profile Remembrance Day service with his grandfather, and I would imagine there will be services this weekend and Harry will be front and center – he’s the only royal of his generation to actually serve in a war (Harry served two tours of duty in Afghanistan).
Meanwhile, as we also discussed yesterday, it seems that Meghan begged off of work (on Suits) this week. Page Six theorized that Meghan was meeting with lawyers, potentially to sue some of the media outlets who have been going after her. But I theorized that she asked for time off from work because she wanted to fly to London to bang a ginger prince. Guess what? I was right. She flew to London this week and she was spotted yesterday, apparently about to enter Kensington Palace. Here are the photos:

Harry’s London pad is Nottingham Cottage, on the Kensington Palace grounds, and sources tell the Daily Mail that Meghan is just full-on staying with Harry. She was doing some grocery shopping too – she went to Whole Foods, presumably so she could make dinner for him? Or does she do the shopping and he does the cooking?
As for that letter that Harry put out earlier this week, blasting the media’s treatment of his girlfriend, People Magazine had an interesting analysis of why Harry is so passionate right out of the gate. A source told People that Harry’s reasoning for sending the letter was simple: it’s about who he is as a man. The source says: “Harry understands that this is not a magic wand to wave, that issuing a statement like this will make it all stop. But he no longer felt comfortable in himself that this was happening to her — not because of who she is but because of who he is.” As in, “It is the equivalent of the old-fashioned lord sticking up for his lady.” Sources agree that his letter probably won’t change anything about the way Meghan is covered, but the letter worked as a confirmation that Harry is very serious about her and everyone should act accordingly.
I still can’t believe it – I’m a mixed race American girl and a few years older than Harry, and this whole time, I thought Harry would never be into someone like me. I thought his type was always going to be “younger posh blonde.” If I had known that Harry likes multiracial American girls, why didn’t I throw myself at him sooner???? We would have been perfect for each other!!

Really? I don’t see it. She does partial nudity on television. I mean, that’s fine, I wouldn’t do it, but it doesn’t mean she’s a terrible person at all, but we are talking the BRF. Grace Kelly had commitments too, and those were negotiated around. That’s why her wedding dress was designed by studio designer Helen Rose, and the entire thing was filmed by the studio. The royal wedding was turned into an MGM production. Anything to get Kelly out of her contract so she could start her life with Rainier in Monaco sooner.
Nota: it always makes me laugh when people go on and on about Grace Kelly’s wedding as if it was original when entire thing, clothing and processions etc were dreamed up in a production office of MGM studios.

I’ve not commented so far, but I’m watching with interest how this relationship goes and how they handle the media.
Its not going to be easy to dance the line between media friendly TV show actress, to privacy seeking royal girlfriend.
Nor is it going to be easy to dance along the line of living on separate continents. Waity Katey didn’t have a job to weigh her down but Meaghan has a career in a specific location (North America) – a location that is not England. And it’s not like she’s some freelance photographer who can be flexible about when she works. She works on someone else’s schedule or she doesn’t work. She could give up the career (acting) and move to England so she could be closer to Harry but she might find giving up her old life “for love” leaves her pretty unhappy. I wish them the best but I see long-distance, vastly-different-backgrounds trouble ahead.

There are whole foods shops all over London and outside too. They do tend to be in pretty posh areas, though.
That was their approach in the US originally, too. At least in areas nice enough to have health food stores existing. Buy up pre-existing places like Wild Oats, etc and once those are exhausted, build new stores.

Not really. I used to live in that area and shopped on High st Ken all the time. Whole foods is 5 min away from Kensington palace. That road has heavy traffic you’d get stuck just trying to get on high st Ken and it would be pretty pointless.Kate Middleton has been spotted shopping on that road there Often. Harry himself has been seen coming in and out of those shops. Only difference is of course they are followed by a security detail.
Hmm, High Street Kensington isn’t car friendly as its on a very very busy main road plus the high street is literally a few mins walk from KP. I know the area well and have shopped many times there.
As people have said, you can’t really shop central London by car unless you want to cause chaos (the tabloids gleefully post the clamped cars of people who try)
Whole Foods is a skip and a hop from KP.
It’s also on a very busy traffic junction. Cars do not stop there.
It’s possible to do a 10-15mins supermarket ran if you know what you are buying.

Kate managed it once by taking entire motorcade to Gap which was in the building next door to whole foods then tried to exit discreet by using the side door.
Unfortunately for her, the side door opened out directly infront of the DM offices so everyone on that side of the building was watching her and her ridiculous entourage.

Thanks for clearing that up re- car v walking. The only part of London I got to know somewhat is north ie- St John’s Wood, sp Lodge Road area. I think Diana gave her time and space speech at the Regent’s Park Hilton but then there was a fire and the Hilton is long gone. There was a nice Italian restaurant nearby called Tino’s.

Apparently shes not only there for Harry. She had some work for DAVE tv which shows Suits in the Uk. She was supposed fly in last weekend, but because of scheduling conflicts at work it was cancelled.

I’d imagine the work was added when she told the production she was going to London. Suits isn’t a big deal for that channel and she’s one of the less important and recognisable characters. Her character is exceptionally dull in a show full of big characters. I’d be shocked if they flew her over to do ads, unless they’re cashing in on the royal connection.
She’s very educated and socially active with a number of world help groups.. not just a pretty actress..

There were no roll outs with Kate Middleton or Chelsy, Cressida had protections from her side with the media but not from his/Palace. I don’t think either of them planned (or leaked) this to be out now.

He was definitely right about the racism. Not just the deplorable Daily Mail article ” straight out of compton” ( New York times called out for the racism in that piece). I had a peek at her instagram last night and theres a fair share of racist trolls on there. Its a bit similar to how FKA twigs was treated when she first started dating Robert Pattison.

I’ve seen MM in Suits and doing interviews etc and she comes across as a confident, intelligent woman with no problems articulating her views.
Her personality really comes across and seems genuine. I have more of an idea of her personality after one interview than Kate’s after 6 + years.

Give me that royal wedding! I am laughing so hard at her being papped carrying groceries into an actual Palace and I’d like to thank everyone involved for this bright spot in a dark time. Christmas engagement, spring wedding and a baby on the way in the fall, I’m calling it now. I love this couple for so many reasons, I might just start working on decorations for the viewing party of their wedding now.

Harry to me comes across as not very bright, spoiled, and superficial. He goes off to ‘save’ endangered animals in Africa from poachers but still goes game hunting with friends and family- and the ‘humanitarian’ girlfriend too.. He leads the life of a playboy and the media has protected him for too long now…
She is loving the attention. She keeps her instagram account public, eveb though she has a website that she can use to promote her ‘charity work’. Her account is filled with the soft sunny self-indulgent lifestyle that is so generic.
The way they’re behaving regarding media scrutiny reminds me of the South Park episode Safe Space.

Lot of projecting there at least one of those projections is completely off.She’s not posh. She’s from an average normal background. She has money now because of her successful career but didn’t grew up rich.
There is a huge difference between legal hunting of game animals for human consumption and poaching and an even larger difference of hunting endangered animals. The equivalent is buying your meat in a grocery store, stealing the meat, and stealing the meat from the famine relief warehouses. Harry’s no hypocrite.
And I don’t understand the appeal of instagram, but it’s a money maker, and part of MM’s career trajectory. As you say, it’s soft, self-indulgent, and generic. It’s not interesting, but I don’t think it’s a problem, either.

People keep saying “she loves the attention” as if it’s a bad thing. If you are getting involved with one of the most famous men on the planet, wouldn’t it be good to enjoy the spotlight? Otherwise you’d be miserable.
Plus she’s an actress with a lifestyle website on the side: getting attention is her job.
Just curious if she’s going to be dragged as hard as TayTay was, for dressing the part of an English country gentlewoman (Wellies? How dare she?!) while dating a Brit. Before I get yelled at, let me assure you, I am no fan of Taylor’s, and I realized Meghan seems to be a woman of significantly more substance than Taylor, I just wonder at what point the standard changes.
I get what you’re saying but TayTay and Tim Heffalump were doing Wellies pap strolls withing a week of first being papped together. It’s a sign of how hard the times are that I’m kind of holding out hope that TayTay and Tag Hopalong are reborn from the embers of their contract and we get a good old couch jumping/MET Gala wedding out of it.

Don’t think she is at Twickenham, which incidentally is about 10 minutes from my home. I am even willing to bet that while the paps and journos focus on Twickenham and KP, she’s probably on her way back to Canada or US. The negative press has been relentless – with the journos determined to paint her in the worst light possible. I have done a marathon review of her vids and interviews online, and she comes across VERY well. The press did not have an issue with Cressida Bonas- also a model and actress, which IMO had disaster written all over that probability. I can only but conclude that this level of negativity towards Meghan is rooted in the fact that :
a. she is bi-racial (being 1/2 black clearly is an issue)
b. Meghan is not a blue-eyed blonde from what they believe to be an “acceptable” background although Cressida’s multi-divorced mother has x number of children with y number of men (still acceptable background?)
c. Meghan is divorced (well, Ann, Charles, and Andrew are divorced – Charles actually married a divorcee – so is this NOT a double standard)
d. American (don’t see how this could be an issue as people were EXCITED, BESIDE THEMSELVES at the prospect of a relationship with the Invictus swimmer – an American, divorcee, who I also suspect is of mixed heritage (her grandmother is Hispanic). The difference is that she actually LOOKS caucasian.
If this relationship is genuine, it won’t change things. Looking at the photos which have emerged so far from Twickenham, Harry does NOT look happy.
Harry at Twickenham looked ok to me. Is there a photo where he doesn’t look happy. There are bad/misleading photos of anyone.
If she goes, it will be properly dressed and attired and in the background to show appropriate respect and honor –but it’s a rugged with South Africa, ffs, not a laying of the wreath.
The ragloids have been pulling focus this week with their over the top coverage (shopping run ‘scoop’?!) and shame on THEM.

I clearly recall the negative comments, the innuendo and the digs made by the Daily Mail journos at the Middletons, and especially at Kate’s mother Carol. The night before Kate and William’s wedding, I watched an absolutely vile, stomach churning TV programme on the Middleton family… the comments made about Carol Middleton and her coal-mining family were appalling. The family members interviewed on camera must have been paid a great deal of money and were clearly jealous as they were not invited to the wedding. Kate now has the last laugh. These same journos now bow their heads to her as the future Queen or Consort; stand in line and wait for HER to speak to THEM; and she now controls access to herself and her children.. Have they not learnt anything?
Irony, kismet, karma… history could repeat itself with Meghan Markle… they had better sit up and pay attention.
Carole Middleton must be the proudest woman in the world (in the good sense) for everything she has achieved in life. Her working class background is nothing to be ashamed of and it was deplorable the way the general public and the media tried to shame them.
Kate, and her family, did really have the last laugh.
I am no fan of the Middletons but they did have to put up with a lot from the press with NO support from William. He never once stood up for Kate or her family or did anything like Harry has done for Meghan. However, the Mids courted the press from the get go and if you play with fire you will get burned.
And as for the wedding, i was saddened that a large part of Kate’s family (her mother’s side) were excluded. Family is family and considering that they invited perfect strangers from Buckleberry (business owners who had never even met them) makes it even more sad. Carole is embarrassed by her roots but clearly not enough to take money from her brothers dodgy business dealings – a man who was caught on tape offering to sell drugs and access to underaged girls.

There are photos of Cressida Bonas walking back to KP after shopping in the nearby M&S, which incidentally is next to the Whole Foods. She had no cap on to at least attempt to hide her identity and she as usual, looked an absolute mess. It was even reported what she bought – ready meal for 2.
At least, we can assume that Meghan – as a foodie, would most likely prepare a proper “home cooked” meal for the both of them. Hope she had the opportunity to meet his closest family members while she was here. I suspect that she has already shared a meal or 2 with William, Kate, and Eugenie. So a mighty finger and F Off to the press and the haters.
I would assume nothing about what she bought, cooked, whether it was “proper” or not, who prepared it or who did not, whether she has supped with the entire family or not.
Projecting that kind of thing leads to madness and a bunch of facts that aren’t facts floating around. Maybe the toilet paper at the cottage is not up to snuff and she had to make an emergency run.
She seems like quite a catch for Harry. He is very lucky with this one. But we will see what falls out.
Yes, those were my projections, and not based on fact. However, she IS a foodie and the shopping bags from Whole Foods did not appear to be empty. Based on the photos, she had 2 shopping bags. As I recall THAT particular store – the Whole Foods on Kensington High Street — does not have a huge ready meal section.
Most of the stuff bought there, require preparation unless she only went there to purchase as you suggested, something entirely mundane. Then again, it does carry a large selection of vegetables, fruit, wines, and cheeses, and has a massive bakery.
