Tom Hiddleston came out of hiding to attend the ES Theatre Awards

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards were held last night in London. In years past, this has been a big event for many of our favorite men. While Tom Hiddleston did attend this year’s event, he didn’t walk the red carpet. BOO! Tom was seemingly there to hand out an award to his friend/mentor Kenneth Branagh. We have barely seen Tom in weeks and weeks! He’s reportedly been back in England since the beginning of the month, having completed filming on Thor: Ragnarok. And in that time, he’s grown out his beard/goatee thing. I don’t mind. I think facial hair makes him look older and slightly more sophisticated. Tommy Hiddlebanger with facial hair: would you hit it?

Tom’s old Eton mate Prince William was also in attendance, for some reason. I guess we’re supposed to forget that BAFTA president Work-Shy Will has refused to attend the BAFTAs and the pre-BAFTA dinner (held at Kensington Palace) for several years running.

God, James McAvoy is looking gorgeous these days.

wenn30222592

Here’s Orlando Bloom, with his blonde/bronde hair. I don’t really get it.

2016 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Elizabeth Debicki in Armani. This dress looks absolutely incredible on her. Stunning.

Dita Von Teese looks… good. Sometimes I want her to mix it up, but sometimes I appreciate that she sticks to her look.

2016 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Ruth Wilson… this is pretty, but the pattern is just “pretty wallpaper.”

Poor Ruth, that is a truly awful dress. I really hate this trend of bare shoulder dresses and tops. I think most of the people I’ve seen in it, it makes them look strangely top-heavy. She is probably a petite person, yet here she looks like a linebacker. And William’s grimace— :0

    • spidey says:

      Granny’s chintzy curtains?

    • Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

I see William is taking smiling lessons from Kate with that teeth baring ‘smile’ he’s got going on.

    • Lana 234 says:

I love what all the women are wearing. Each woman is wearing a dress that suits them. I love the print of Ruth wilson’s dress I don’t know what you guys are seeing but it doesn’t look granny to me. Tom hiddleston looks much better with facial hair. James Mcavoy looks really hot. Olrando bloom looks horrible with that blond hair.

  2. Crox says:

Heh, I love the term “bronde”.

And this picture of Prince William really isn’t flattering. He looks like he’s slowly turning into Nosferatu.

    • Megan says:

William was there to present an award to Sir Richard Attenborough, whom he does seem to genuinely respect and admire.

I find it kind of crazy that his grandfather’s genes didn’t really kick in until William was in his 30s.

    • shelly* says:

Lol at least Nosferatu had an excuse, He was one of the living dead.

  3. MI6 says:

He wasn’t hiding, he was working. He attended the Emmys, remember?
And it was wise to skip the first UK red carpet since the sh*t hit the fan this disastrous summer. Let it die down.
He looks a bit older and hopefully wiser.
    Onward and upward.

    • browniecakes says:

Would help if he got another girlfriend. He looks great.

      • MI6 says:

Someone with a brain in her head this time.
Elizabeth Debicki or that cute historian he bumped into would be perfect.

      • tundra says:

yes, it would be nice to see him with his girlfriend. I ship him with hayley.

      • delorb says:

While I understand not liking Taylor or him with Taylor, these snide putdowns are out of place. Taylor is not stupid or dumb. Like it or not, she’s an award-winning singer who is worth millions. Something she didn’t just fall into.

      • bros says:

@delorb: people fall into success they don’t deserve and that isn’t warranted all the time. case in point: our new president. I give the american public no credit in picking actual talent.

      • delorb7@gmail.com says:

@bros, surely you not comparing Taylor to Trump? Surely. Jeez. I know the hate for her is strong, but you gotta admit that she didn’t ‘fall’ into her success. One doesn’t ‘fall’ into selling that many albums. One doesn’t ‘fall’ into winning several awards. Especially since in the next breath, her detractors will accuse her of every machination under the sun. She can’t be this dumb person who got where she is from dumb luck, and also this genius who controls the media and men.

@MI6, of course, money and success don’t equal good and smart, but it also doesn’t mean one should assume she’s dumb just because they don’t like her. This casual misogyny is so off-putting and quite dumb.

      • MI6 says:

An intense dislike for Taylor Swift does not a misogynistic make, Delorb. I’m talking about the person, not the gender.
And one doesn’t simply “fall into” success…sometimes daddy buys you a record label.
        #swiftybegone

    • MI6 says:

      Ditto, Bros.
Money and success do not equal good and smart, Delorb. We Americans just found that out the hard way.
In fact, sometimes it means the exact opposite.

  4. Sixer says:

I’m not ready to consider him bangable again. Not enough post-Tiddles time has elapsed yet.

But regardless… YAY LEGS! He’s so harmless and we are surrounded by so many harmful things just now, there’s nothing else to say but YAY LEGS!

    • MI6 says:

      Here, here, Sixer!
      Cheers 🍷🍸

    • Lightpurple says:

And the LEGS were displayed to full advantage last night.

I think he was right to avoid the pre-show bits. The attention there should be on the nominees; they’re the ones being honored. He would have been a distraction, just like Bouncing Benny was two years ago when he decided to upstage all the nominees with his engagement. Tom was there for Branagh and he let him have the spotlight.

Debicki looks amazing. Ruth Wilson needs a stylist.

Thomas, my darling, let those curls free! The ones behind his right ear were trying to make a break for it.

    • BritAfrica says:

Nooooo. It’s the talented James – all day, everyday, in every way! 🙂

      • Sixer says:

        You can have James, m’dear.

I just think we all need whatever light relief we can get just now!

    • third ginger says:

      Absolutely!!!!

    • Bonzo says:

Sixer, while I can appreciate the sentiment, my reaction to Hiddles post-Swifty is null and void. TIDDLES was a serious ladyboner crusher. I’m not a fan of the gotee, so the closer he moves into that territory, the less attractive he becomes to me.

Can we talk about The Crown?? Specifically, was Phil as much of a smirky prick as Matt Smith portrays him?

      Debicki looks AMAZING.

      • Sixer says:

I haven’t seen any of The Crown yet! But I am an anti-fan of Phil, so I’m going to take a stab at it and say yes to the prickishness!

I’m so far behind on TV watching, it’s unreal. I have seen most of the BBC’s Black and British season and am up with The Missing, but the rest of my viewing has been Sixlet-directed while I read. Their current favourite is a BBC3 thing called American High School – documentary series about a high school in South Carolina. The principal there is the sweetest man on Earth! And one of the boy students said, “I came out of the womb with flavour,” which the Sixlets think is the coolest thing to ever have been said on television.

      • MI6 says:

Bonzo, The Crown is AMAZING. I binged it all weekend. I wasn’t a huge fan before this, but John Lithgow as Chruchill is acting his ass off. What an incredible performance. Matt Smith has a new fan, too. The direction is superb and the script is great. Brilliant all around!

      • Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

Yes I think Phil was a bit of a twit during her early reign, he supposedly found it very difficult to adjust to having to walk behind her in public. He is one of those old fashioned alpha male types but he did run the family with an iron fist.

      • BONZO says:

Ahhh… I love that quote, Sixer. Is it set in Charleston, per chance? That and Savannah are my favorite cities in the South.

MI6, I’ve enjoyed Matt’s acting too and Alex Jennings as Duke of Windsor.

      • Sixer says:

It’s in Orangeburg. I have to admit, the Sixlets are evil and have made me addicted to it. Their first reaction was, “Where are all the little kids?” because our high school career lasts for 7 years, not 4. So kids are in high school here from age 11/12. They’re also flabbergasted that being good at a sport gets you into university.

The principal wears a blingy gold tie and goes around giving out dollar bills for reasons I can’t quite make out. He’s so lovely. I love the girl who is bound to end up as valedictorian – she’s so driven and Georgia Tech didn’t accept her and I cried when she cried. And there is a boy who is in the cheerleader squad and wants to do nursing school in New York because he has an auntie that lives there and thinks life as a black gay man would be better in NYC. But he’s not the sharpest tool in the box and keeps failing his courses. I love him too.

I love kids. Can you tell?!

      • Cranberry says:

        Hey folks!

I can forgive him for Tiddles cause I don’t think it was real anyway. I think it was a bad career strategy that he got suckered into – and not for Bond either, for TNM, Emmys and SI in ’17.

I have no lady boner right now for anyone. It’s just too depressing to be exited or sexually intrigued by any fantasy boyfriend even the effervescent Hiddles himself.

I’ll have to check out “The Crown”. Is it on BBC America? I’ve been watching the “The Exorcist” with Gina Davis on Fox. It’s really well done and filmed in the same style as the original movie which is freaking terrific except for the Bloody commercials! It’s too bad. Fox has picked up such a good production and is cutting it up for f**g ads. It would have been better on Sundance channel or IFC. I also watched the first episode of “Eyewitness” on USA. It was pretty good. I’m gonna continue watching now that I’ve finished The Affair second season.

      • Bonzo says:

Cranberry, The Crown is on Netflix. The pacing is a bit slow at times, but it’s lovely. It’s not Wolf Hall, but it’s the next best thing. I’ve enjoyed it and it’s been a nice break from all the depressing things I usually watch and a nice break from our political realities as they have unfolded this past week.

I rewatched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on Amazon Video and boy, that was a treat to see again after 16 years.

Sixer, you probably know our schools have middle school or junior high that is sandwiched in between elementary and high school. Considered by many to be the most tumultuous time of their scholastic experience. Imagine my relief when another parent at our charter school said that our Jr High Principal is loved by all the kids. Makes me less nervous about my autistic son heading there in a few years.

      • Bonzo says:

MI6, not to be a Debbie Downer, but I finally was able to figure out why The Crown hasn’t satisfied like I’d hoped it had. The Fug Girls nailed it on their recap of ep 3 and it seems to be due to the fact that the series has been written and directed by men:

“That may explain why it’s giving extremely short shrift to the interpersonal relationships between the women on the show. I am enjoying The Crown greatly, but so far it’s quite concerned with Philip’s feelings and struggles with being emasculated by his relationship (his decision to take up flying, his insistence on his children taking his surname contrary to what had been decided thirty years earlier on that front, his crankiness over having to move to the palace where the monarch has always lived just because he feels at home in Clarence House, his general “but what about meeee” attitude) and has given literally no space at all to the relationship Elizabeth has with Margaret, or her mother, and it has solely removed the women in her life from the story (she had many ladies-in-waiting). I think Philip’s issues are interesting and pertinent ones, but overall, I think this is a flaw and once you see it, it’s hard to unsee it. Philip’s Sad Man Struggles are getting a huge amount of oxygen, and Elizabeth’s — despite her being ostensibly one of our main protagonists — remain somewhat oblique and are mainly framed by how she feels about his feelings, rather than what her own feelings are.”

Having only seen the first five episodes, I do wish they had focused more on Elizabeth feelings and less on Phil and Edward’s feelings. I think it has fallen short of my expectations because of this.

    • SilverUnicorn says:

      I cannot unsee Tiddles either……
Not bangable, not even one iota… McAvoy, on the other hand……

      • Sixer says:

It’s going to take a good long while before I can look at LEGS with lustful eyes.

      • SilverUnicorn says:

        @Sixer

Me too! I was really a fan… The more I look at him and.. Taylor Swift. Dang, lust dead, buried 6 feet underground………
        I’m sure we’ll forget about LEGS & Swifty, eventually… until then… :-/

  5. Leah says:

I find it strange that Lee Pace isn’t a bigger deal around these parts. Hes basically the american version of Tom Hiddleston. Fancy drama school, theatre background, tall, well spoken. Admittedly with considerably less talent for self promotion but possibly more acting talent.

    • Moxie Remon says:

And the eyebrows seal everything together, he’s gorgeous.

    • CornyBlue says:

He is also extremely private and gay (or atleast has been in serious relationships with atleast two men)

      • SilverUnicorn says:

Gay wouldn’t really matter. But he has admitted, in several interviews, that he likes to disappear between shootings and he doesn’t like the limelight at all.

      • Laura says:

Does it matter if he is gay or not it’s not like he’s ever gonna date anyone of us is it?

BTW one of the men the Internet says he’s in a relationship with has been married to a woman for a long time.

TBF these rumours are the same as the hiddles is gay rumours. I mean that dude hadn’t been in a relationship for 4-5 years until the tiddles spectacle, lots of ppl think he’s gay too since no one saw him dating women.

      • Dan Lopez says:

Laura- Great minds think alike. I think Tom H. & Zach Efron would make a cute couple.

      • CornyBlue says:

Its not a made up rumour lol. Believe me I am not one to get hyped up about people being gay but he is actually with Armitage so might as well give it a rest.

      • Cranberry says:

        @Laura

Even though his last serious, public relationship was 4-5 years ago, that doesn’t mean he didn’t have intimate relations on a private level. It’s pretty certain that he and Elisabeth Olsen had something going on after I Saw The Light. Unfortunately the pressure to go public to promote their movie probably did more to end it than anything else. I do think Tom really liked her and would have loved to be more open and public, but she had just broke her engagement before they started seeing each other. Also neither of them wanted to be subjected to Tom’s over enthusiastic, jealous fans. Can’t blame them.

He also likely hooked up with Kat Dennings back in the early Thor days. There’s nothing to confirm it cause it wasn’t a relationship, but they did manage to get photoed together looking more than just friends. True there’s not been any great Hiddles romance these past 4-5 yrs (note, I don’t count TS). It’s pretty clear to those that follow him, and he’s said so as well, that he’s focused on his career and he doesn’t have the time to be a good boyfriend. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t tried.

      • Cranberry says:

        comment addendum:

OMG, I forgot JArthy ! How could I forget Jane ! I’m blaming 2016 for everything. Sorry Jane, you were great and fully deserve recognition in the Hiddles annals of ‘not-girlfriend-girlfriends’ and ‘girlfriends-but-not-girlfriends’ that broke the internet (or just tumblr).

    • SilverUnicorn says:

      Ouch no.
Lee Pace is gorgeous (in a way that Hiddleston will never be), secondly he’s not as posh as Tom. He’s also incredibly shy and private (he lives in a farm and posts funny selfies with hens and his dogs), therefore you will never see him acting like Hiddleston, he’s not an attention-seeking person at all.

      • Elle R says:

Exactly. I’ve loved Lee Pace since Pushing Daisies. Unlike Tom, I get the feeling that Lee’s in it for the acting and not at for the publicity. And I respect that, so much as I think Lee is fantastically talented, I’m sort of glad Celebitchy doesn’t cover him more because I don’t think he’d want it.

    • Cranberry says:

I can see the general comparison. They are both very tall, statuesque men. They are both very talented too and marginally famous considering the amount of work they’ve done. Aside from great stature and talent, they are very different. I like Lee, he’s a great actor, and he’s generally handsome, mostly his stature for me. Tom’s got a beauty and some expressions that just blow me away (the eyes). They have different personalities and acting styles. Not going to fault someone for being shy and private, and same goes for people with more open and outgoing personalities like Tom.

  6. jerkface says:

Everyone looks constipated in these pictures.

  7. OriginallyBlue says:

  8. tundra says:

finally a tom thread. I have been waiting for so long. And comments, plz stop disappearing. LA has inside photos. Kenneth and Tom looked really happy. 🙂

    • shelly* says:

Tommy boy looks so proud and happy with Sir Ken on his arm. I wish these two were a couple, they are far better suited than Hiddles and Taytay.

    • spidey says:

Glad it isn’t just me with posting problems! I was beginning to think it was personal.

      • tundra says:

@spidey he can’t win can he? other celebs did worse than him butt he gets the vitriol

      • spidey says:

@ tundra absolutely. Heaven forbid he should do anything to hurt someone!

      • delorb7@gmail.com says:

Most of that vitriol came from his so-called fans. As I non-fan I tried pointing out that being seen with Taylor wouldn’t hurt him. That it would help him. But so many of his fans treated him like damaged goods. So silly, IMO.

      • tundra says:

that makes me wonder if they were really his fans or not. but whatever they over reacted for no reasons. there are rapists, phedos, wife abusers but Nooooooooo hiddles is the worst for oh my gosh dating a girl.
anyway hiddleswift was fun and silly and it was enjoyable.

  9. Dani says:

Technically speaking he looks so handsome especially with facial hair. But, realistically, I can never unsee the Tiddlesbanging pictures and he’s now like a hard 3, and someone I would need beer goggles to oogle. Sad.

    • Payapa says:

My favourite Tom is The Hollow Crown Tom so yes yes yes to beardy goatee sexy Tommy. It washes away (almost) all of the horrid memory of that whole I love T.S tank top idiocracy.

      • Cranberry says:

I started thinking Hollow Crown too when I first saw this photo. I’ve already forgotten Tiddles-gate. These past couple months have been a nightmare. Anyone still going on about Tiddles and the tank top is beating a dead horse imo.

I think it’s good he’s been taking a break from the public. He’s worked really hard this year what with all the damage control on top of the regular promoting he’s had to do. He just needs to do as much good work as he can – anything that’s enjoyable and hopefully fulfilling if not critical. There’s nothing he or anyone can do right now to promote himself. Everything is too serious and upsetting.

      • Dani says:

Omg I looooooooove Hollow Crown Tom. Maybe I can try to see past it lol

  10. seesittellsit says:

Debicki – nailed that RC look! Perfect dress for her. Could have wished the hair a little blonder for contrast with the dress, but hey, that’s quibbling.

Hiddles looks more than ever like the aging Drama Prof. at a famous Scottish public school. And gayer than ever. What’s up with his career after Kong?

    • tundra says:

@seesittellsit is it the gay thing suppossed to be an insult or something? or is it just you being petty.
He is busy working with eddy and don’t worry his career is fine.

      • third ginger says:

I also wondered about the {maybe} gay slur. is it a synonym for gorgeous? Because that’s what my gay daughter is!!

      • Cranberry says:

It’s being used as a slur. Seesit.. is on a mission to frighten fangirls away by call him gay even though she has nothing to back it.

      • seesittellsit says:

Oh for god’s sake. I am not the first and only poster to suggest that both Hiddles and Swift were on a bearding expedition. If one suggests an actor might be closeted does it necessarily follow that s/he is against him being gay? Or against him pretending not to be?

As for having something to “back it up” – well, I’m not a, you should pardon the expression, “peeping Tom”. But it isn’t as if Hollywood wasn’t filled with closeted gay actors, and if you disagree with my assessment, fine. I think he’s gay. That whole thing with Swift was phonier than a $3 bill and most of the press knew it.

Recognizing that doesn’t make me a homophobe. And as for “frightening fan girls away” – good God. Thank you, I reside on Planet Earth.

      • Cranberry says:

“If one suggests an actor might be closeted does it necessarily follow that s/he is against him being gay?”

        @Seesit
        – It’s not a matter of suggestion with you though. It’s always beyond just an opinionated suggestion. Just like LightPurple says below, it’s all the time, like it’s your mission on TH threads. You’re always emphatic that it’s some definitive truth when really it’s just your same theory. Nothing new, nothing substantial. That coupled with your derogatory remarks, why wouldn’t it be seen as slurs?

    • SilverUnicorn says:

Oh God, can we drop the gay thing already? Sexual orientation shouldn’t really impact on talent!
The most annoying thing in Hiddleston is his attention-seeking ways and that super-anxiety he has in order to please people. The rest would be totally irrelevant.

    • lightpurple says:

Good morning, seesit. What would a Tom thread be without you insisting he is gay? We would miss you. We really would. As for Tom’s career, he is currently working on Early Man for Aardman with Eddy Redmayne. Then, it seems very likely he’ll be heading to Georgia early in the new year for Avengers: Infinity Wars. And in the spring, it seems he will return to the London stage. He has been hinting at that for a year now and Spiderpig has some inkling as to what the play will be – and it is already sold out.

      • lightpurple says:

He is also still working on his documentary about boy soldiers in the South Sudan for UNICEF.

  11. third ginger says:

This is one old lady who was delighted to see Hiddleston, especially in pictures with Sir Kenneth. In the good old US A, those of us with children in the LGBT community need all the cheer we can get. Seeing those two reminds me that whatever else they have done, they have mostly entertained millions.

  12. CornyBlue says:

What people supposedly see in Hiddleston I see in McAvoy. Not the best looking guy from all angles but he opens his mouth in interviews and it is over.. I love to hear hi speak so so much and such a genuinely funny guy.

    • delorb says:

I disagree. I think James is gorgeous. Open mouth or not. Those eyes! I wonder who he brought with him?

      • CornyBlue says:

Eh I think he looks amazing here but there was a time last year when he had shaved his head last year when he looked like Gollum.

      • lightpurple says:

The Gollum look was for Split, which looks seriously creepy.

      • ichsi says:

        No one, he went alone.
James is my #1 crush but I do kinda see what CornyBlue means, he isn’t classically handsome but it’s his carrying and charm that makes him so attractive. And those damned eyes and that incredibly expressive face of course. (I liked him a lot bald though, it gave him more angles and he looked more traditionally masculine)

      • delorb7@gmail.com says:

@CornyBlue, to each his own, but I thought the missing hair made his eyes pop even more. And that’s always a good thing.

Thanks @ichsi. I’m wondering if he’s still with his X-Men co-star. Too bad there isn’t a lot of gossip to be found here. LOL

      • ichsi says:

The story with Alex Shipp never went beyond rumours that most likely were made up by the DailyFail. He does have a new girlfriend though: http://www.celebitchy.com/510691/james_mcavoy_apparently_has_a_new_girlfriend_shes_not_you_links/

    • A. Key says:

McAvoy is gorgeous, what are you talking about!!

    • Camil says:

McAvoy is gorgeous 🙂 He is my second crush, the first one is Hiddleston xD

    • Bonzo says:

Yeah, The Mac is more my type too. I’ve loved him since Atonement. He’s funny as hell and has a right dirty mind.

  13. A. Key says:

I actually miss the summer of tiddlesbanging. What harmless fun we all had with the news then.

    • tundra says:

hiddleswift is much better than certain orange muppet

    • MI6 says:

      That was NOT harmless.
At least not to Tommy boy.

      • delorb7@gmail.com says:

Oh please. It was completely harmless. His career isn’t going to suffer. Jeez. As a matter of fact, being seen with Taylor opened him up to millions of people who had never heard of him. Millions of people who will remember when he was ‘dating’ Taylor whenever his name is mentioned. People who might check out his films now, when otherwise they wouldn’t have bothered.

      • MI6 says:

I didn’t say it was just his career, Delorb/Swfity.
        Enjoy your Kool-aid.

      • lightpurple says:

So, Delorb, have you finally watched one of his films?

      • virginfangirl says:

HIddleswift made me a fan. I only knew him as Loki. So it was love at first site when I saw those blond soft curls. Those 2 blond, tall and lanky nerds did look pretty together (no, I not a fan nor a hater of Taylor). Since he was all new to me the pda didn’t effect me in the least. But I remember so much Tom hating (or probably just making fun) with the tshirt, and now I think how innocent his actions seem next to the evil we face now.

    • Harper says:

Right?? I’m starting to hope for KimYe to stir the pot or for Hiddleswift to send out Christmas cards where he’s dressed as Santa and she’s dressed as an elf perched on his lap holding mistletoe and kissing him on the cheek. I need a 4th of July wedding where they wear matching Amurica onesies and wed on the top on that inflatable slide. Instead of a first kiss they take a first slide.

  14. spidey says:

One minute he is accused of fame whoring, the next he is accused of hiding! Poor guy can’t win.

I think he gave famewhore (fametrollop?) a serious test drive this summer, and discovered that particular suit not only didn’t fit but he looked bloody awful wearing it. Lesson learned. That said, I expect the dancing bear to be back in time for the Monkey Movie promotion next year.

    • Harper says:

Famerwhoring was a scientific fact. The new Dictionary to be released for 2017 even has photos of him on that beach performing the seal mating rituals as an illustrated example now accompanying the “famewhore” definition. The “hiding” is just people being extra.

      • Cranberry says:

If there was going to be a picture of a famewhore or famewhoring, wouldn’t it be of Kim Kardashian or any member of her family for that matter?

And just cause he’s not it the media doesn’t mean he’s hiding, and that’s certainly not extra.

  15. I Choose Me says:

Tom can get it always but Tom with the beard and improved hair situation, yes gawd! MacAvoy is looking yummy as well.

Oh and how amazing does Elizabeth Debecki look? Seriously, that woman is gorgeous.

  16. MI6 says:

TNM NOMINATED FOR 5 CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS…
including Best Actor for Mr. Hiddleston!
    🖒🖒🖒😊😊😊

  17. Harper says:

In Drumpf’s America I am nostalgic for the thirsty famewhores of this past summer – yes, even Hiddleswift AND KimYe. Tom looks to have collected his cheque (I believe it was for PR – TayTay is too transparent – but they could not have possibly spent so much time together without ever having Tiddlebanged, and I say this as someone who would believe TayTay is pure as snow with a chastity belt.) and moved on to the other pastures…or deserts? He’ll be married in a year, I don’t know to who but quote me. If there IS a God it will be to TayTay.

  18. TotallyBiased says:

LOVE the Getty pics with Sir Ken looking proud as Sir Elton chats up Tom (complete with hand on his arm–no one can resist touching him 😉)!

  19. Elle R says:

So I don’t say this as a criticism, just an observation: does anyone else think Tom got some ‘refreshing’ while he was laying low the past few weeks? He looks good in a way that seems beyond just being well rested.

Whatever he did, I hope he keeps doing it (although if it was ‘refreshing,’ in moderation please).

    • justme says:

I think he might just have gotten some sleep. He was photographed a couple of times – once by a fan and once a selfie he sent of himself with a book of poetry to the publisher. He was seen by fans out walking or running a few times and went to see Branagh in The Entertainer last week. Only one fan recognized him in the theatre – he was very polite and nice and shook her hand and asked her name but didn’t want to be photographed. Another person took a photo of him outside the theatre, but it was at night and the only way to know it was him was by his LEGS! So he has just been acting as he tends to when not at work. Although he seems to be working on the UNICEF documentary and was said to be in Bristol working on Early Man for Aardman. He’s probably glad to be home. If he thought this summer was going to be fun, he sure miscalculated!

    • justme says:

She works for UNICEF. Her name is Louise O’Shea. He’s been working on a documentary for UNICEF and I guess this is connected. He looks really good in these pictures by the way. Cheery and with a real smile (and of course the same clothes as he always wears!)

      • tundra says:

@justme thanks! yes he really looks good, I mean really good. much relaxed and happy.
damn itt for a minute I thought new gf *doh* >_<

      • browniecakes says:

tundra – Maybe she will turn out to be the next gf . Time, and oh so many candid photos, will tell.

      • Bonzo says:

I think Tom’s next serious gf should be a UNICEF worker. That would look good on his “resume” and help redeem him from the embarrassment of TIDDLES.

But if he’s looking for profile raising again, some sweet unknown aid worker isn’t going to help him on that front.

    • lightpurple says:

Some of the comment on the Fail’s article are hilarious.

      • Lacia Can says:

I’m not ready to give the DM my clicks just yet. It used to be a guilty pleasure, but its political values have just become too much after the US election.

I don’t think Tom has been hiding. Isn’t it more like him to be private? He shows up for award shows and promos for his work but otherwise stays quiet. It was one reason I had a hard time believing in Hiddleswift – the famewhoring was such an odd fit for him.

      • tundra says:

@brownicakes oh I hope you are right 😀

  20. Meg D says:

I don’t know who Elizabeth Debecki is (that is, what she’s famous for) but I saw her in a play and few days ago and she’s a really good actress.

    • spidey says:

She was Jed in The Night Manager.

      • Meg D says:

Thanks, I never saw that. Is it any good? I don’t think I’ve ever seen Hiddles onscreen (apart from Hollow Crown), but I’ve enjoyed his stage work.

      • virginfangirl says:

The Night Manager is a 6 episode mini series about Jonathon Pine (Tom Hiddleston) who is a night manager, turn spy. Kind of like James Bond, but not really. No gadgets and such. It was very good.

      • spidey says:

But it was a slow burner until that last episode!

  21. smd says:

Lightpurple, Sixer, Spidey, MI6 and the rest of my lovelies 🍷🍹🍸! We need the Tiddlebanging back or at least another relationship with as many staged photo ops. Anything, anything to take my mind and soul off the imploding of our country. I mean I’m already dreading the holidays because of anticipated political conversations or frantically trying to avoid such discussions. I’m just not tolerant to any more defense of this abomination who will be taking office.
I need swan pastries! We were robbed of a build a bear engagement! There were so many more romantic dinners and dates to be had…bring it back or a suitable replacement!
Also, side note where are his true blonde loves Calliope, Esmerelda and Yvonne? 🙂

  22. Bonzo says:

    Via Elaine L:

“When we look back at 2016, [The Night Manager] won’t be how Tom Hiddleston is remembered. This year, the first thing on his resume will be Swoki. Followed by #Taymerica tank top. Followed by de-Swoki. And next year, or whenever she drops new music, it’ll happen all over again, when we try to figure out which songs are about him. Not every Taylor Swift conversation is going to be about Tom Hiddleston. But for the foreseeable future, every Tom Hiddleston conversation is going to be about Taylor Swift.”

    THIS.

  23. MissB says:

James is looking good, the hairdo, the beard… Gorgeous.
