At this point, it feels almost too mean to make fun of LeAnn Rimes. But, in my defense, she does have a new album out (Remnants) and she probably knows any publicity is good publicity, or something. LeAnn has spent a lot of time in London recently promoting this album, which doesn’t make much sense to me. I would think that LeAnn’s fanbase (as it is) is mostly in America, and most British people don’t have a clue about who LeAnn is or what her music sounds like. I may be right about that, according to Star Magazine. LeAnn was doing a meet-and-greet in London several weeks back and the event was very… quiet.
LeAnn Rimes had planned a four-hour meet and greet to promote her new album, Remnants, I London on October 29, but witnesses say the turnout was so pathetic that the event was over in just 30 minutes.
“It was terrible,” says an insider. “LeAnn took forever to sign each copy and was so desperate to keep people from leaving, she resorted to asking fans about their lives!”
The insider says LeAnn kept hissing and signaling to her people to do something, but apart from dragging people in off the street, they were stumped too. “People just didn’t know who she was,” adds the spy. “Nobody was approaching her. Her security guard basically had nothing to do by stand there and whistle.”

This doesn’t surprise me at all, if it is true (which I think it is). I understand that LeAnn still wants to make music, and that’s her right. But she still lives in a delusional bubble where she thinks she can still fill huge concert halls, and that she’s going to have so many fans (IN LONDON?) that she needs to set aside four hours for a meet-and-greet. And that’s just not where she is. That’s not the reality of her career now. And so I do wonder… why does she keep doing this? Is it for the love of the music, or is it because she’s desperate for money/attention/fame?

I think this is true. I had only heard of her because I come to this site. There are fans of country music here but it’s quite a fringe interest.
Her bookers did their best: she got the singer slot on Strictly Come Dancing, which is currently the most watched show on UK TV now Bake Off has ended. And I’d bet the entire audience went, “Who dat?”
On the upside, my dad, who had certainly never heard of her, thought she had a nice voice.

Before this website i didnt realise she was a real singer. I only knew her from coyote ugly and so i thought she was just an actress. I dont watch strictly (more of an x factor person myself) but i doubt that most of the audience of strictly would even know who she was – she really isnt that famous here (in scotland at least) for anything, a lot of people know her version of ‘the rose’ but her music is certainly not popular.
Interesting. She has been circling the drain (career-wise) for so long in the US, that I assumed any TV appearances were on low viewership shows.
She managed to land a spot on a major US network TV Christmas show a couple years ago, and dressed like a 1940s call girl (under a heavy coat). Christmas and striptease do not go together, so that took attention away from her vocal performance.

Hey Sixer- sorry to be off topic but I was wondering if I could ask about how long until the utter shock of Brexit wore off? Do you have any idea when people started ‘getting back to work’? It’s very dark around my liberal city here in the US and I am wondering when we will still be upset but functioning close to normal. We are not there yet.
A couple of weeks for the shock to wear off but the utter chaos in public life has yet to subside in any way at all.

It’s the shock part I am worried about so it’s good to hear a couple weeks. The chaos in public life I am expecting but can’t wait for the initial hit to subside. The poor ladies in my life aren’t sleeping well, eating, missing work & feeling sick. It’s terrible. We just weren’t expecting it at all and scared so I am looking forward to when we can at least quit pinching ourselves or slapping each other screaming “wake up! It’s all a nightmare!”
If LeAnn wants to change things she has to first lose some weight( her husband), get off Twitter, Instgram, etc, and start playing smaller venues. Get a good producer, start writing or find good material to perform.
Her personal life has become more popular than her singing. If she is serious about getting back on top. But I don’t think she wants to or even listens to anyone at this point
Speaking of Eddie, was the second-coming of Laurence Oliver dragged along to London? I can’t imagine that Leanne trusted him to stay at home alone for a minute.

Eddie is still on Rosewood but season two has horrible ratings that are on the verge of cancellation.

I have travelled Africa extensively and while there is a surprising affection for country, it’s very much a niche thing among the nostalgic older folk and ironic urban hipster set. They love Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and that guy who Joaquin Phoenix played but that’s it. Even Miley Cyrus dad may be to recent for them. Besides, why should Africa have to deal with LeAnns crazy so we won’t have to.

She’s in the UK because she got a recording contract with RCA UK. She couldn’t get one in the US despite her and Darrell schlepping their sorry asses to even the smallest labels. I think it’s only a one record deal. She charted for about a second, but the album bombed. On a plus note, Remnants is at number 200 on the South African charts and 73 in Belarus. Bodes really well for the North American release, doesn’t it? Considering that she cancelled a concert at Trine University twice, due to supposed illness and then dressed up on Halloween and posted on Snapchat, cackling away and sounding completely normal, it would appear she’s still on peen patrol. She’s unprofessional to the point of absurdity. The University put out a statement that was pretty much a huge diss and said they weren’t rescheduling. The songs on the album are terrible. The ones that aren’t crappy covers just showcase her lack of ability to write her own songs. Off topic. but one of her fans is completely using her health issues to try to get a free meet and greet when she’s been told that LeAnn isn’t doing them any more. She has been posting photos of her after heart surgery, tons of her injured foot and even one of a bloody gash on her arm. It’s seriously disgusting and I actually feel sorry for LeAnn. She shouldn’t encourage these people, but still, this fan is really ramping up the begging and it’s repulsive.
I saw the letter from that venue she canceled on twice in one month and they weren’t even trying to hide their irritation, lol. She’s so unprofessional and most definitely faked an illness to stay home and watch her loser husband, it is sad. We’ve watched this woman ruin her career and image for a man, and not even a good one! I watched an episode of some show about making fish tanks for celebrities the other night, it was Jason Aldean’s wife surprising him, but I was shocked because I had no idea he divorced his first wife and married his mistress! That’s how you get away with cheating in the public eye, you don’t get on social media or do pap strolls bragging about it, you go and live your life and after respectable time has passed you can start getting back out there together in public, and you actually feel remorse for the havoc you caused instead of stalking the ex. And there are so many other celebs who go cheat but remain wildly successful, Garth Brooks and Tricia, Brad and Angie, Tom and Rita, and many more. She blames her flailing career on everything but herself.

Lately Brandi and Eddie has managed to be civil to one another. They have been co parenting and the boys are spending a little more time with mom.

Before I looked at Celebitchy this morning, I thought about sending a secret into Post Secret on how my secret obsession with Leann’s mental illness is one of the few things I’ve been able to read about since the election. How fortuitous is this post? I’ll share my secret here. For the past week, I, like so many, have been dealing with the stages of grief regarding the election. I cannot read or listen to the news. Celebitchy has been my emotional salve in trying to heal. I’ve been able to get filtered news and a much needed diversion with this site. I was brought here about 7 years ago by Michael K at D-Listed and have clicked daily ever since. Reading up on Leann’s antics always makes me feel a bit better about myself. I know deep down, that it makes me pathetic to gain comfort from someone else’s misery, however, I don’t think she is aware of her own misery, so I think that’s what brings me the entertainment value. While I come here to be entertained, the innate intelligence of your readership has sent me to other sites to delve more deeply into cultural and feminist issues. I remember when she was a child prodigy and started out in the Dallas Fort Worth area. She did a fund raiser show at my daughters’ school. She had an amazing beyond her years voice. She seems like another example of how being a massive star very young totally ruins you. Don’t they say emotionally they stop developing at the age they hit success? Look at Brittany, and it took her parents getting legal control to save her. Leann won’t have that since she sued her parent. She seems to be a child star statistic and I wonder did any of those really have a chance? Reality was skewed very young for them.
Back in the 90s when this young lady hit the scene, she had more talent and promise in her little pinky than Taylor Swift has in her whole body imho. Yet Leann never achieved Taylor’s megastar status. She seemed to peak with How Do I live. Her parents were greedy stage parents and they spoiled Leann. To me she never quite found her niche music wise, even though she could sing circles around most country stars. Her later albums seem mostly a mismatch of songs that didn’t really showcase her talent. She’s been chasing peen since she was very young and her Mother allowed it. Seems her career went to heck after she sued her Father.

Taylor Swift can write songs. So even after her teen stardom, continuing on in her late teens and early 20s, as a single young woman, with her songwriting gift, she could still connect to her young fans with her albums, which resonated with them about fickle romances.

She made it to the next signing only communicating by chalk board.
She recovered to do a talk show and to have a Halloween party.
She relapsed canceling a show the following Saturday.
The college she canceled on was not happy in the press release.

One of LeAnn’s most ardent fans is really ramping up her efforts to get a free meet and greet at an upcoming concert. She’s literally begging for a hug and using the fact that her parents are also going as leverage. What I find particularly sad is that this person actually thinks that LeAnn is her friend. Your friends don’t make you pay to see them in person. She can’t seem to comprehend this fact. She begs for freebies and special treatment from other celebs as well. She always uses her health issues as a bargaining tool, which I have to say, I hate. It isn’t fair to use your health issues in an extortive way. She’s not 6, she’s 26. LeAnn’s fanbase is filled with some of the strangest people I’ve ever seen. I am not trying to be mean. She doesn’t have proper boundaries with them and when she changes the rules, like with meet and greets, they seem unable and unwilling to accept it. She had a fan who was incredibly abusive to Brandi around the boys. So very wrong. Once this record fails in North America as well, I think her career will be officially over.

This is so mean but she even tagged LeAnn in a tweet about how she is going to get her hair cut to look good for LeAnn.. She could save the money and just have her Mom plunk a bowl on her head and go to town.It looks like that is what her “stylist” does any way.
Johanna (aka Cryzy4leannrimes aka: Footgirl) has been like this all her life. What I find intriguing is another “friend” of hers went to a bunch of concerts with her-even doing all the driving (because I am lead to believe Jo INSISTED and BEGGED and BOTHERED her for weeks-even months to go with her. ) Now this friend doesn’t seem to be in the picture any more. I bet she got tired of Jo driving her bat sh** crazy with her antics and refuses to go to another concert-traipsing all over the Midwest to make Jo happy.
I understand that having a child with ongoing health issues is very, very difficult, but her parents have obviously coddled the crap out of her and allowed her to use her health issues to manipulate them and everyone else, which is an epic parenting fail. Seriously though, the posting photos of every ouchie, booboo and bruise is so over the top. She put up a photo of a gaping arm wound from a year ago. FG would be an excellent case study for someone studying psychiatry.

@Jane Well you’ll be interested to know that according to her, the “haters” are all just jealous of her. Jealous of what? Her Nascar memorabilia or LeAnn Rimes shrine maybe? Nobody even tweets her, so she got to be stalking their accounts. None of her detractors tweet hate, They just comment on the incessant begging, the all day complaining and the bizarre injury photos. She and LeAnn have a few things in common. Both are incredibly thirsty for attention, both are completely lacking in self awareness and neither seem to have anyone close to them who cares enough to tell them the truth.
Did anyone else see the photo of her with darker base color / highlighted hair, freshly curled (not styled), which was very similar to a photo of hubby’s attractive co-star? I assume both photos are recent.

I saw this as well. She stalks Eddie’s costars all the time to copy them. His last co-star was a artsy-crafts type woman who posted a chalkboard on her site and the next thing you know Leann was writing on a chalkboard that Eddie “made” for her. However, she bought that board at some ranch out west.
She copies Eddie’s ex constantly as well. Add Taylor Swift (naming her tour with a year and putting it on her merchandise)and John Legend’s wife too (I cannot recall her name-Christy I think? However the copy was a kitchen cooking shot with sunglasses and these horrific looking boots another time)
She really cannot come up with original thoughts and ideas. She brags that she is always “creating”. Oh she creates alright–havoc and drama!
LeAnn doens’t have an original bone in her body and is so insecure about her husband, that she has to stalk his female cast mates and copy what they do and say, just like she does his ex. The pattern is bizarre and completely obvious.

It’s rather amusing that if you stalk her EVELEIGH ROSE page so many of the items shown there are exact dupes for what she wears and does. Her infamous outfit worn to a Miami bikini fashion show that had evidence of an “accident” on the skirt is smack dab on her fashion pins; top and skirt … exact copies. Make up, jewelry, tattoos, other fashion ideas and ratty-dirty hair styles have also been copied. All of her chalk talk quotes are listed as well.
