Over the past few weeks, I kept seeing photos of Orlando Bloom going to events solo, and I have to admit, I didn’t think much of it. My only real thought was, “God, he looks like crap these days.” But he might have been flying solo for a reason: Orlando Bloom might be single?? In Touch Weekly says that Orlando and Katy Perry are maybe-probably dunzo. They started up last January, after maybe-probably hooking up after the Golden Globes. Considering Katy’s terrible, half-broken man-picker, many of us didn’t even believe Korlando would last much longer than a few months. But they made it through most of the year, including an unfortunate nude-paddleboarding incident. The end of the relationship might have happened around the same time an orange buffoon became America’s next president.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom decided to split after ten months of dating, In Touch can exclusively reveal. While both parties are said to not be taking this well, there seems to be confusion as to how the relationship ended.
“Not long after Halloween, Orlando confessed to pals that he’d decided to end their relationship. He claimed that he’s just not ready to get married and have babies,” says a source.
Meanwhile, insiders close to Katy claim she was the one to pull the plug.
“She said they were on different life paths and as much as she likes him, it’s time to move on,” a source reveals.
Considering how much Katy grew on me throughout the election cycle, I’m truly hoping that she was the one who made a mature, adult decision to end this relationship because she was not getting what she needed. I tend to believe that Katy maybe wants to settle down with someone nice. But it always felt like Orlando was clinging to her for other reasons. Like, he liked being Katy Perry’s Boyfriend because at least then he was somewhat relevant by association. Harsh? Sure. But it’s the truth. Unfortunately, even if Katy was the one to dump Orlando, I fear that the next guy will probably be even worse. Or maybe she’ll just go back to John Mayer, which would be another dating tragedy in itself.
Update: Yeah, Katy still has a bad man-picker! She’s still with Orlando – he spent Thanksgiving with Katy and her family.

Compared to her last two narcissistic disordered poster boys, I would say Orlando comes off as mild and possibly very kind. Hopefully she’s been stung enough by difficult men and this will have some staying power- I need to at least believe one woman is finding happiness in the world.
They’ve been saying they are on the verge of breaking up for months but I highly doubt this will happen. I think they complement each other and I can see them getting married.

I ACTUALLY applaud him for taking a swing at Bieber too. I would if i could. That brat needs it. If anything i think he was more embaressed the next day that he allowed whatever JB said to irritate him that much considering what a pacifist he is.
Since she could/did much worse, it’s better if she stays with Orly. He’s not that bad. I don’t get the ‘I don’t want to commit’ vibe from him, though, quite the opposite.

KP could do a hell of a lot worse [and has done in the past]. They both appear to be family orientated which seems to be working for them. Going by the entries in their instagrams, they both have a social conscience. I like them together.

Maybe he’s not a brainiac, but neither is she so it seems all good. It’s not like he’s hooking up with Mayim Bialik, Phd. or anything for us to go “What do they talk about?” And even some of Bialik’s thoughts are a bit wacky so if he went out with her, I’d probably shrug then too.
He’s a douche. An apparently harmless one, but still kind of douchey. Major party boy who’s biggest claim to fame for years is whomever is his significant other.

Hes actually a really genuine, really nice guy who handles the media pretty well. People in the media just like to try and drag a good guy down because good people doing bad things sells.
Theres been so many falsifications and the way he deals with them is just to rise above them – no statements, no changing his behaviour- just literally ignore them and hope the truth will out.
He is a good man- as is shown by the sort of father he is to Flynn, and the fact his ex wife and him are still super close friends. Is it so hard to believe that two nice people could actually like one another and have stuff in common? Apparently it is. Trust me…Orlandos been working so he doesn’t need ‘the kudos’ of being Katy’s boyfriend. *eyeroll*

I got the impression that Katy – like a lot of us – was blindsided by Hilary’s loss in the election and took it very hard, given she had spent so much time campaigning for her. I think she withdrew a bit to re-collect herself, that’s why we saw so many photos of Orlando out and about solo. I didn’t think they’d broken up.
Good for her if she had a good holiday and is slowly coming back online. And Orly needs to lose the blond hair yech!

Why is anyone claiming he’d have cold feet about this? He’s already DONE it once, and he seems to have a pretty good relationship with his ex, so I doubt he’s too traumatized to try again.
