It’s been months since we’ve heard anything about Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s relationship and the last we heard, Page Six was reporting that they’d broken up because Foxx didn’t want to go public as a couple and wanted to keep his options open. They may be friends with benefits, as Kaiser mentioned when we reported the breakup story, or they may have broken up and gotten back together because now Us is reporting that they took a private jet to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to celebrate Katie’s 38th birthday over the weekend! They went to a fancy resort and stayed in a private suite and it all sounds so romantic. Still, it only lasted one night.
Low-key couple Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx flew to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Friday, December 16, for a private weekend getaway to celebrate her birthday, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly.
“Katie and Jamie took a private jet to Cabo on Friday morning from Van Nuys Airport [in Los Angeles],” the insider tells Us. “It was a quick trip in honor of Katie’s birthday. It was only them and two pilots on the plane.”
Upon their arrival, the notoriously quiet pair, who started dating in 2013, took a limousine to the luxe Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort. “They stayed in one of the most private suites at the hotel, separate from other guests and entered by a small path,” the source explains. “They wanted to be very discreet and had everything delivered to their room and taken care of by a personal butler.”
Holmes, 38, and Foxx, 49, left Cabo on Saturday night and headed home to Los Angeles. “Suri was not with them,” the insider adds.
Earlier this month while promoting her directorial debut, Holmes was asked about a “secret marriage,” and she simply answered “No, I’m not married. but thank you for asking.” So she’s officially mum about a relationship with Fox, as is he, but who is US’s source? It sounds too detailed to be a staffer at the resort. Could someone is easing us into the idea of Katie and Jamie as a couple? Like has enough time lapsed since her divorce with Cruise that she’s able to go public? I like them together, I want them to go public, but I know that’s a long shot. Still this is one of the most concrete reports we’ve had on them, that’s something.

She deserves a good relationship with a good man after what she went through with Scientology and Tom Cruise. If it’s both their decisions to keep in private, then good on them. If it’s just Foxx wanting to keep their relationship a secret then major side eye.
I think both want to stay out of the spotlight.
The urban blogs have reported that Fox acts single. So my guess is that Fox does not want an actual relationship. He strings her along. And because she’s not his bona fide , no outlets can report that he’s cheating on her because they’re not official anyways

The five year clause rumor is true? (Five year clause rumor=creepy Tom threw in a clause requiring Katie not to “embarass” him by dating publicly within the first five years of divorce). Coz we are now coming on to year five…. and US is getting reports from “sources”. Nothing would make me happier than a formal unveiling of FoxxyHolmes; bring it on.

Off topic: Saw him in Miami during Rap weekend one Memorial Day weekend years ago. Very handsome. He was in a car parked at a curb and he was chatting with fans. He looked small though. I think that’s just how celebs look when you finally see them. Bigger or smaller than you assumed.

There was a discussion about this on some site, Jezebel I think. It certainly wouldnt be legally enforceable just as Scientologys billion year contracts are unenforceable. It could however be the line drawn in the sand, so that although he cannot enforce in court, he is making it clear that he would seek retribution. This could mean fighting for Suri to participate in his Church or starting a media war against Katie or other harassment techniques. This would be in line with other Scientology type contracts….legally uneforceable but put on paper to set the rules.
Though Tom did sign those divorce papers and settled their divorce agreement very quickly. A lot of people/media were speculating it was because Katie had a lot of damaging information on him. I don’t think she’s too afraid of Tom.
Enough already with this. Why be so secretive for years? I got it at first but this is getting old.
Maybe they get off on the whole “we need the most private rooms our lives are a secret” deal. To me it’s become tedious and annoying and I don’t even care whether or not they are together.

Also in Hollywood, we can almost talk of six degrees of dating separation.

He takes family holidays with the younger daughter’s mum and hangs out with her at events once in a while, like they’re still together. On the bisexual thing, I thought it was a well-established fact. Katt Williams came out and claimed Foxx slept with the only guy he has on his label and Garcelle Beauvais hinted that he was gay by saying in her experience he was the only guy actor ever who never got “excited” with her during love scenes. Also see Howard Stern’s attacks. Lots of interesting anonymous posters on various forums claiming to have firsthand knowledge about his bisexuality and quite believable to be honest. His love life history on the whole just seems odd to me.

Well, she did marry Tom Cruise, so she certainly was missing some parts at one time. I give her all the credit for getting away from Tom & Co. and getting Suri out too!
I chalked her marrying cruise up to just being young and probably star struck and I feel like there were people still giving him the benefit of the doubt at that point.
But yes, she did do a good job when she “escaped” and with getting their daughter, so she does have that. I don’t know much about her anyway, so it’s probably not really fair for me to say anything about her.

If the energy they give off separately is any indication, then I can see this working. He’s a life of the party extrovert and she’s a bit of an introvert who doesn’t mind being made to laugh and brought out of her shell by him. Cool. And he’s got girls, even a rather young one, so Suri will have a step sister with which to play and relate. The only thing that I don’t want to happen is him to hurt Katie’s feelings or mess over her by cheating. I like her a lot.
