Prince Harry & Meghan spent a week in Norway, to see the Northern Lights

wenn30654052

As I mentioned last week, my theory was that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had quietly met up and gone on vacation together around New Year’s Eve. As it turns out, I was right! It’s being widely reported by British and American outlets that Meghan flew to London, then Harry whisked her away to… Norway??? Okay, Norway. The trip actually sounds a lot cooler than “Norway, WTF?” Like, he had a romantic plan involving the Northern Lights.

Romantic Prince Harry has whisked girlfriend Meghan Markle to Norway to see the Northern Lights. Loved-up Harry, 32, spirited the 35-year-old actress to the edge of the Arctic Circle for their first holiday together. The couple left London in utmost secrecy on Monday after Suits star Meg had seen in New Year with the royal. Then they jetted into the remote and beautiful town of Tromso on the Norwegian fjords, where they enjoyed trips on the lake, whale-watching and spectacular sunsets in the snow. Then they cuddled up to watch the magnificent Aurora Borealis light up the night skies on their first holiday together. The lovebirds’ cabin on the northern tip of Norway boasts breathtaking mountain views.

A pal said: “Harry wanted to make this first holiday something Meg will never forget. It wasn’t an obvious choice like a glitzy beach resort or tropical island. He’d put a lot of thought into it and wanted to make it as romantic and special as possible. Harry wanted to get away from everyone and be totally on their own — just them. The Northern Lights are at their best at this time of year and currently have been the most amazing for ages. They really have had an unforgettable time.”

Last Thursday Meghan flew back into the capital to spend New Year’s Eve with the prince. The US actress and her royal beau kept a very low profile before flying out for their week-long break on the edge of the Arctic Circle.

A pal said: “This relationship has moved at lightning speed and they are mad about each other. They speak all the time when they’re apart and count down the days until they see each other again. Friends have even talked about them getting married this year. It does seem very soon, but both of them have talked about it and are ready to settle down. Harry is determined to do everything possible to make this work.”

[From The Sun]

Us Weekly’s sources confirm all of this, but get a bit more specific – Harry and Meghan apparently spent two nights viewing the Northern Lights which “the pair caught on camera, posing for photos beneath a spectacular display of greens and purple lights in the sky.” They also went “husky sledding” and had some “remote dinner dates.” True story: in many Asian cultures, it’s believed that conceiving a child under a Northern-Lights-blanketed sky is good luck for the child. Not that I think Harry and Meghan are making a baby in Norway, but I bet they practiced a lot (because what else is there to do in a remote part of Norway?).

As for the rest of it… it sounds romantic. It sounds like the kind of thing a guy would plan to propose. That’s what all the unnamed sources are indicating too – not that Harry proposed already, but that he soon will. We’ll see.

Norway is cool! One of my cousins lived in Oslo for years. I was quite disappointed when she and her family came home cos I couldn’t visit any more (and it’s expensive to go without rellies to put you up). The Northern Lights are super-cool.

    • Christin says:

I reconnected with a lovely gal from Norway who came to the US for one year to study during high school. I was intrigued with Norway years ago, and more so now. It looks like a truly beautiful, low-key place.

    • Rhiley says:

It is the best. Spent a fantastic vacay there over the summer.

    • LAK says:

Ditto!!! It’s so beautiful. And thankfully off the beaten track of ski poseurs. The mountains are heavenly.

    • Mira says:

My ex boyfriend is norwegian, most evolved progressive member of the male species i have ever dated.

    • Sixer says:

In my experience, Norwegians are charming people. Calm, aware, intelligent, tolerant. More reserved than I’d expected but not in a rude way, just a quiet way.

      • suze says:

You have sent me off to learn Norwegian. The immigration policies can’t be that tough, right?

      • Sixer says:

Everyone speaks perfect English, of course. It’s annoying, actually, these bloody Scandinavians and their perfect English. You never get a chance to learn any of THEIR lingo! That’s the worst criticism I can think of about Norway, other than it’s expensive and they have weird regulations (or something like that but am not fully clear on the details) about importing food that makes it even more expensive. Otherwise, brilliant place and brilliant people.

      • notasugarhere says:

suze, if you are in the States, check your local PBS/Create channel for reruns of the show New Scandinavian Cooking. It is an interesting look at Nordic cuisine and culture, with the dedication to local harvest and local foods.

      • suze says:

        thank you, NOTA and Sixer.

Of course, since we are on a royal thread I can mention that Norway has awesome royals. Down to earth and known for mixing with the regular folk.

    • Liberty says:

Agreed! It is gorgeous there. Have made a similar trip at this time, and it was unforgettable. I can completely understand the sense of escape, beauty….the people were wonderful, as everyone is noting.

I would not be surprised if he proposed there, even if he didn’t pre-plan to… to me, Norway has that kind of magic. What a lovely choice for a trip, out of the limelight into a peaceful almost mystical place. Wishing them all the best.

    • cynic says:

I would love to see the Northern lights.

      • Hazel says:

Two caveats about seeing the northern lights: winter is the best time, so bring — and wear — ALL your warmest clothes; and some people’s eyes can’t actually see the lights. Happened to a friend of mine who went to Alaska with other friends. They were all ooh-ing and aah-ing & she thought what –? Then she looked at the photos on their phones & saw the lights, but only on the phones, not up in the sky.

    • mar_time says:

Seeing the northern lights in person is maybe the only thing on my bucket list… this sounds like the best vacation!!

      • supposedtobeworking says:

you can do that in Canada, too : ) We get some pretty brilliant Northern lights. And you listen to see if you hear them. I swear I do, but there’s debate about it.

      • Chai says:

You can also do it in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Sadly, even though I am borne and bred Yooper, I never experienced it, but my dad has many times. Boo to 9:30 bedtimes, haha

    • Bonzo says:

I follow two ultrarunners/skimo athletes that live in that area of Norway and the pictures they post of the mountains are absolutely breathtaking. That trip sounds like an dream.

As long as one has a fireplace, good drink, great views and a sweetheart, they don’t even need to venture outside to enjoy a week there.

    • It'sJustBlanche says:

He scores huge points for originality. It’s BEAUTIFUL there and ridiculously romantic.

  2. Emom says:

Sounds like a lovely, cozy, romantic trip. Well played, Harry.

    • Alix says:

Absolutely! My kind of vaca, company and all.

      • Liberty says:

Why I believe an engagement can happen any time…From an April 2016 article in the Sunday Express:

“Elizabeth first set eyes on Philip at 13 years old, when it is said she vowed never to settle for another man. It was 1939 and she was a shy princess, while he was a handsome Greek prince and naval cadet.

“When he eventually proposed – at Balmoral in 1946 – Elizabeth accepted without first consulting the King and Queen.

“They insisted on a period of reflection but Elizabeth was resolute and letters written soon after her wedding to Philip in 1947 demonstrate the depth of their love.

““Philip is an angel,” she rapturously told her parents. “We behave as though we had belonged to each other for years.”

“In return he enthused: “She is the only thing in the world which is absolutely real to me.””

  3. Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

Nice trip – I would love to see the Northern Lights and travel around that part of Europe. Am obsessed with Iceland at the mo and their amazing waterfalls- Detitfoss in particular.

Waity must be spitting nails over all this – Prince Whine a Lot NEVER did anything like this for her.

    • Trixie says:

The idea that Kate is “spitting nails” over Harry taking Meghan to Norway is predicated on the idea that Kate would want to go to Norway on vacation. If she doesn’t want to go to Norway on vacation, then she wouldn’t be “spitting nails” over Harry taking Meghan there.

      • Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

I was referring to that fact that William never made or continues to make any sort of romantic gestures like this to Kate. He has and continues to treat her like a door mat. This is the guy that took a group of his friends on their honeymoon.

      • Llamas says:

WAIT, he brought friends on their honeymoon?! Do tell!

      • Nia says:

        Damn!! Lol

      • LAK says:

It’s so rare for them to holiday as a twosome that it is always noteworthy when they do. As far as anyone can tell, they always holiday with friends (and ever present staff), including their honeymoon.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

Perhaps the idea is more that William wasn’t prone to the grand romantic gesture for Kate, not whether it was Norway per se.

      • Hazel says:

Kate did enthuse over how romantic his proposal was during the engagement interview; but then again, that was another group trip to Africa, although they did have their own cabin.

      • Chrissy says:

        @Hazel
What else is supposed to say on a televised engagement announcement? That he chucked a hand-me-down ring at her at his ex-girlfriend’s home? I doubt William even gave an ounce of thought into his proposal. Remember this is a man who’s all about himself.

    • LAK says:

He took her to India. We all saw those pictures!!!

      • Liberty says:

LOL — I am sick this weekend, everything sends me into a coughing frenzy, and yet I relish the giggles I just got out of this comment, LAK. (reaches for inhaler)

    • Elise says:

Just came back from Iceland. It was unforgettable and breathtakingly beautiful. There are so many waterfalls that you don’t even have to get out of the car to see them . We saw too many to count driving down the highway to Vik. We saw the Northern Lights but couldn’t see the colors with the naked eye. Saw them through our camera lens.

  4. Ramona says:

Why Norway? I mean the nights are so cold there, the only way to keep warm is to have constant mad passionate se…..aaah I see your game Harry, your dirty dog you! 👦🏼💍👰🏽

    • Ankhel says:

And then there’s having to keep her warm when they’re out, bringing hot drinks and blankets and cuddles… Lantern light, candles. Play fighting in the snow, which must be followed by saunas and baths… And you can’t escape the fireplaces, the open ones with the massive rugs… Yup, clever boy!

  5. Odette says:

I hope these two have the strength to ignore the Daily Mail Crowd. Rooting for them!

    • HappyMom says:

Me too. And I don’t get the hate on DM-people are absolutely venomous.

      • notasugarhere says:

I made the mistake of looking at the comments on the DM re. the article about Michelle Obama’s final speech as FLOTUS. Could not believe the bile.

      • Sharon Lea says:

Those comments are so negative. I am rooting for them too, I really think she is great, she understands being in the public eye and likes charity work!

Notasugarhere – I saw that, and the negative stuff about their going away party today. Makes me think of Samantha Bee’s show about how the Kremlin paid trolls to go on social media and write negative stuff.

      • Sixer says:

        Don’t. Go. To. The. Fail!

Just read article summaries on websites like this one. That place is enough to destroy your faith in humanity.

      • notasugarhere says:

True, Sixer. And we shouldn’t give them our clicks, it only encourages them.

      • Lacia Can says:

The DM is on my “do not click” list. I’m not British, but their lies about Brexit were infuriating. Katie Hopkins is an absolutely vile, racist, misogynistic hypocrite. If I hadn’t already stopped visiting, the “enemies of the people” would have been the last straw. The editors should have faced charges for that. It was close to incitement from what I understand. No one should support that, no matter their politics.

      • Nia says:

For the life of me I cannot see what she has done to deserved so much hate.

      • Sixer says:

There’s an active campaign to defund the Fail via advertising, similar to the anti-Breitbart campaign stateside.

        http://www.stopfundinghate.org.uk/

      • notasugarhere says:

Thank you, Sixer. Time to do my part to stop them!

  6. suze says:

No one expected them to be there, maybe that is part of it.

Maybe they like quirky and different.

We will never know. I am just hoping for my flying Elvi.

  7. The Original Mia says:

Wasn’t sure if they were together. Good for them. Norway and the lights are lovely and the location isn’t one where most people would look for them. Together.

  8. notasugarhere says:

HM well enough to go to church. W&K and the rest of the Middletons along for the pap stroll.

    • Nic919 says:

And yet the Middletons couldn’t go to Sandringham for Christmas but return there weeks after to get in the photos. What famewhores. Let HM have her day.

      • Hazel says:

That was my thought, too. Gad, those two! I find the pretense of being religious to be particularly galling, as well.

    • Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

I guess that was the price TQ had to pay to see her great grand kids, allow herself to be papped with that family. Am hungover today so seeing their smug mugs made me even more ill. Kate and Willy are determined to elevate her family into royal status by association.

    • suze says:

I think Wills is sending his message, however awkwardly, that it’s not the Queen he has a problem with. Well, he shouldn’t. LOL. That is the way his bread is buttered and even he isn’t thick enough to not know that.

“Look, my grandmother has no problem with my REAL FAMILY THE MIDDLETONS even if my daddy does.”

Although it begs the question on how much togetherness this family can stand. Did they all move en mass from Bucklebury to Anmer? Did they take a break for a couple of days and reconvene? I mean it’s like the MIddletong mob moving through the center of the country, never breaking formation.

      • Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

LOL – i like the mob reference but it Kate’s birthday this week so of course her family has decamped to Amner for the month.

TQ and the DoE going to church was to make up for her missing the boxing day service and to show people that she’s alive and well. 2016 didn’t get her, phew!!

The Middleton Mafia should make the most of this as when Chuck ascends they won’t get nothing. His feelings for the Middletons esp Carole are well known.

      • Sharon Lea says:

Yes, Suze, I get that undercurrent too, ‘the Queen accepts the Middletons’ but what of Charles?

Does W&K, with their children ever stay overnight at Highgrove, or does Charles stay at Anmer Hall? Do Charles and Camilla ever do family get togethers with the Middletons, like a summer barbeque etc? Does Camilla join them or does she go to her bolthole?

      • Llamas says:

So it’s clear that this wasn’t a RF church occasion so why would the middletons and WK go? Especially since it’s not a big RF day. Did they agree to go along to get papped with the queen? I feel like that’s the only reason they went. :/

      • suze says:

Llamas, I think the simple answer to that is that they were probably invited by the Queen. And no one turns down that invite, particularly the MIdds! This is what they have worked for.

But they make me feel like my family doesn’t love me! They don’t hang around for two weeks before and a week after, celebrating with me!

      • Nia says:

I guess they better enjoy while they can, cause when Charles gets the throne it’s a wrap until It’s William time.

  9. Mira says:

    “Norway??? Okay, Norway.”

BUT Norway is AMAZING, the nature is out of this world, stunning on any normal day and if you are lucky enough to catch the northern lights your mind will be blown away. And well… the men are like HOT and tall.

    • Alleycat says:

Agreed! Norway is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately I missed the northern lights but I would go back in a heart beat. This sounds way better than a beach vacation.

      • Lady D says:

No, no, no, and no. I couldn’t think of a worse place to vacation than somewhere cold. Just will not happen. I need my vacation temps to hover between 95-110F.

      • Kori says:

My hubby just took me to Warsaw for my birthday. Minus 16 Celsius. Lol Actually, he had a conference and I tagged along so we’d have my birthday together. Great historic city but coooooold!

  10. Luca76 says:

God bless them. I’d love to see Norway and the Northern Lights one day but if I get there it’s going to have to be in the absolutely warmest time possible. I detest being cold. It was snowing all day yesterday and I was absolutely miserable. The very last thing I’d do is go somewhere I’m going to be freezing on purpose and call that a vacation. I’ve come to terms with preference every darn time I go on vacation a beach has to be involved.

    • Mira says:

In order for you to be able to see northern lights it has to be dark. In the summer there is something called midnight sun, basically means its light all day and night some places or just dark for a few hours in others so its highly unlikely you will see any northern lights during the summer.

    • Egla says:

Yes warm and sun and beach. I always say If I can’t undress in my underwear any time of the day and night and don’t feel cold than it’s not a vacation. But sure once I can tolerate, for just 2-3 days, just to watch the northern lights just once. But better not have someone who wants to undress me there as he will be up for a disappointment LOL.

  11. TheSageM says:

Apparently that’s where he took Cressida too. So special.

    • Odette says:

I don’t believe that’s correct. Cressida and Harry went to Switzerland and Kazakhstan.

    • Nia says:

      He took Cressida to Kazakhstan

    • TheSageM says:

Didn’t he take her to see the northern lights too? There was media speculation about him proposing to her there, which we now know he didn’t. Oh, I think it was Iceland, not Norway.

  12. kri says:

I would love to go there! I am so jealous. Denmark and Sweden are on my list..

  13. Nympha says:

    Sigh.
    The Northern Lights.
I couldn’t make a trip to Finland with my friends this New Year, and they cannot stop talking about amazing Northern Lights they have seen there (I think even the same ones the article describes). I went several times in the previous years, but missed them. So jealous.

  14. TeamAwesome says:

I would take Norway, with or without Harry, over Mustique any time. But really, how lovely and romantic that all sounds. Honks!!

  15. Agnes's Mom says:

In the photo of Meghan, if her hair and eyes were just a bit lighter, I can almost see a resemblance to a healthy and a happy Kate.

*swoons over such a romantic trip, though Agnes’s Dad is pretty good at romantic stuff when he wants to be

  16. Shambles says:

I don’t watch suits, but it’s been so funny to see the commercials lately. All hype about Meghan’s character’s wedding to one of the main dudes. “She finally said yes, will she say I do?!?”
Lol. Such an obvious play on what’s happening in real life, to me.

  17. Dinah says:

She truly is beautiful. I’ve always loved the thought of Harry because he reminds me so much of his mum in his loving ways. Like Brother John taught us: “Norwegian wood, isn’t it good?” I hope it was very good for them.

  18. The Original G says:

    .

  19. Senaber says:

    Swoon

  20. Pip says:

This trip sounds fantastic. I’m a flinty-hearted old cynic but the Northern Lights are one of the very few things that make me cry.

Us Brits are relying on these two to cheer up 2017.

  21. Sarah Watson says:

She doesn’t seem “Royal material” to me. I don’t think it will last long. People with brains and self respect would stay miles away from this crazy dysfunctional family.

I don’t particularly like Kate Middleton but I think she is perfect for William. They both seem to be in love.

    • Patty says:

Nah. Kate and Will madly in love? Doubtful. Half the time they look as though they can barely tolerate each other.

But that’s what happens when a woman hangs on for dear life for a man who settles for her because nobody else wanted him.

There was no need for them to date 10 years; other than William was never sure on Kate and kept waiting for an upgrade that never happened. In the end he finally proposed because none of the women he wanted / preferred were available.

      • Mare says:

Oh come on! No one wanted him? Prince William, the future King? Yeah right. And wasn’t he 29 when he got married? He could have waited 15 more years without any rush to find another bride. I can understand people not liking Kate, but this theory William married her against his will and because he had no other choice, is just ridiculous and bizarre.

      • Ankhel says:

Most women would put up with a bald spot, some whingeing and the paparazzi, if it meant only light work, lots of family time and manors plural. Not to mention the jewels!

      • Patty says:

Yes. It is a well known fact that the women that Wills chased after did not want him. Most were aristo types. This isn’t new. I’m sure there were probs plenty of women who wanted Will but the ones he wanted passed.

      • LAK says:

Mare: He didn’t marry her against his will, BUT she was also his only option in the end. The women he kept hoping to date, for whom he repeatedly broke up with Kate never wanted him and or definitely didn’t want to marry him.

As James Whitaker once said of their relationship, he loves her, but he is not in love with her.

Or that famed society gossip, Taki, only Kate would put up with whatever the family threw at her because she really wanted that ring.

    • notasugarhere says:

She’s required to work, dress appropriately at work, show up, act interested, and understand it is a PR job. I see nothing in Markle that means she couldn’t handle the job successfully. Philip, the two Sophies, Autumn Kelly, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, etc. We’re to believe they’re all idiots who lack self respect?

      • HappyMom says:

I’m with you. She would be perfect. And I need a royal wedding to mitigate the gross taste of our inauguration.

      • Maria says:

Meghan would be great, though not everyone wants that life. But I am hoping…

  22. Joannie says:

Ive seen the northern lights many times having been in northern Canada. They are fabulous! On another note I didnt think these two were together anymore and the whole story is made up.

  23. Marlene says:

LOL. They most certainly did not enjoy any ‘spectacular sunsets’ in Tromsø at this time of year.

The sun is down all day during midwinter, and the first sunrise is in the middle of January.

  24. Hashtagwhat says:

I feel like I’m always the Debbie Downer at the party, but I heard they broke up and that Meghan is actually in LA laying low and that Harry spent NYE in Verbier at the Yorks place. And then Emily Andrews just got this story from a twitter sighting that mentioned Harry on a Norwegian flight (a tweet everyone saw but which may now be deleted). The tweet made no mention of Meghan and you’d think it would if they were traveling together out of London, all loved up after NYE.

Or all this could be totally true and we just have unprecedented details of this relationship, more so than any other romance he’s ever been in. After all, the tabloids aren’t really in the game to make money.

This sarcasm isn’t a dig at Megan, btw. It’s just skepticism. And I could be totally wrong. Also she’s no longer following him on IG and from what I can tell he’s changed his handle. For what it’s worth.

    • suze says:

Honestly, anything could be happening at this point. Almost everything that has come out of this relationship – outside of Harry’s press release – has been a projection of the watching public’s desires.

My personal projection is the desire for Harry to marry a biracial American, for her to completely modernize the House of Windsor, and my desire to see flying Elvi. Only one of those three things is remotely possible.

There is something about this particular story that reeks of pure wish fulfillment. As someone posted above, they weren’t enjoying spectacular sunsets in Tromsø since there is no such thing at this time of year. Who knows about the veracity of the rest of it.

      • Sixer says:

        My thoughts precisely!

      • sarah says:

God, I hope they don’t get married!! I do think she is thirsty for it, and that Harry falls hard and is naive, plus this feeling of rush, rush, rush, are all a recipe for disaster. And would she really want that life, a life with zero privacy, huge criticisms and a gilded cage to live in? I wouldn’t. Not worth the perks at all.

    • LOLADOESTHEHULA says:

Where’d you hear that @hashtagwhat? Sounds like tumblr/rd fangirl delusions to me, but we’ll see.

      • Hashtagwhat says:

I wish I was a fangirl, or that I had any fangirl left in me, but watching Harry these last few months makes me think he’s no different than William, just far better at faking it. I think Megan loves the spotlight and is a bit shallow and her relationship with Harry revealed the same in him, birds of a feather and all that….this is just MY opinion!! Please don’t kill me for it.

I have work in Toronto occasionally, so I fly in and out enough to have friends there that hear the rumors. That’s where I heard they broke up (that it went down before Christmas) and he spent NYE in Verbier. I want to stress that they (the breakup rumors) are as speculative as anything else out there, Tumblr and every delusional teenage girl included, so like all of this, they should be taken with a truckload of salt.

But this is a comment board for gossip, so I was, you know, gossiping.😉

      • Nia says:

Tumblr fanfic. They are just as bad as The Fail

      • Kitty says:

@Nia you don’t know that at all.

      • Can'tRecall says:

@hashtagwhat You are a fangirl. A salty bitter fangirl who thinks Meghan has stolen her internet BF and thus has resorted to reducing Harry’s esteem to deal with your feels…but a fangirl non the less.

Hahaha…Meghan bad…Harry like Megan, so Harry bad too. See The Fox and the Grapes tale, fits you to a T.

    • Kitty says:

@Hash, yeah this is what I saw online:
“Let’s face the facts: 1) an airport clerk said he boarded alone in Norway 2) they are not following each other on social media anymore. Someone said he blocked her on instagram and I checked she is not following him back. Before anyone asks, not hard to find his pseudonym on his mates profiles. Take your conclusions”.
I don’t know if this is true but….

      • Naroula says:

I also read that she created a private IG and following him on it and that is why she’s not updating the public one anymore.
All of it is pure hearsay.

People have been pushing them to either break-up or get engaged right away. That kind of pressure is so unhealthy. If they’re together, they need to lay low which is what they’re doing.

      • Herladyship says:

I think I’m the only person who doesn’t know his IG. Haha

      • Dee says:

        @Kitty @hastag

Because you two are so fanatically against this relationship I am finding your tumblr fanfic even less reliable than tabloid stories..

      • Hashtagwhat says:

Geez Louise people I just said where the rumor came from–and that I thought they were suited for each other! Why so defensive?! We’re just gossiping guys!

      • Kitty says:

@Dee it’s not like you know anything either. We all don’t know what’s going on. Shouldn’t call us delusional.

    • Naroula says:

The whole Tromso trip is based on tweets of the airport guy and Instagram pics from a friend of Harry. Pure speculation from the Sun. We actually have no clue what is going on which is a good thing btw.
The level of scrutiny and desire to find any sort of info about them is pretty scary.

    • Lilac says:

That’s a good point. I also saw the tweet about him in Norway and just assumed they had evidence of her being there too.

Hmm! Who knows what’s going on. I guess we’ll find out. Can’t wait until the coverage of their relationship dies down, but I’ll miss reading the comments 🙂

    • FrostedFlakes says:

There was a major discussion about Prince Harry’s social media and IG handle on Royal Forum, and then a poster decided to publish his ID on the forum. All this deleting and handle change took place after that development – thanks to her. The poster just couldn’t GET or understand that what she had done was wrong or unacceptable and invaded his privacy big time. Her argument was that his ID was an open secret. Irrespective, not everyone knew what it was. That was still a gross invasion of his privacy.

So he has now gone underground with another IG account, and we can all assume that Meghan has created a private IG account

  25. Timbuktu says:

It sounds like a trip that can pretty much only be enjoyed by someone filthy rich. It seems like you’d need seriously warm clothes, there are probably no cheap accommodations there, and transportation is probably hard as well if you can’t helicopter in and have to drive yourself (if you can even drive yourself there).

    • Nia says:

That’s why there’s no pics of them. Prince Harry knew exactly what he was doing.

    • LAK says:

This is not true at all. My brother lives up there and he is a regular schmo. A ticket, London to Oslo, can be as cheap as £30 or less if you fly with Ryanair and book weeks in advance (just google searched for return flight for tomorrow and Ryanair is £50 return), trains will take you into the mountains and there are buses from train stations to further up north.

The lifestyle is geared towards cold weather so everything is no more expensive because the default setting is cold. You can’t sell everything expensively because no one will buy from you and then how do you live?

The lifestyle is outdoorsy because otherwise you’d never leave your house due to the cold/darkness except for the midnight sun weeks in the summer, but there hasn’t developed a ski culture like you see in ritzy resorts in France or Canada. That’s not to say those don’t exist, but you can live a cheap ski-bum life in Norway.

The only thing that’s expensive is imported food and alcohol. The prices are ridiculous even allowing for currency fluctuations.

      • Sixer says:

That’s how I found it. Cost of living is high but you get a variety of everything from budget to luxury, as you do everywhere. Also, cost of living is high to foreigners but less so to Norwegians because inequality is vastly lower there.

  26. Olga says:

What I like the most in this girl — she smiles with her eyes on both photos! Such a sincere smile. I hope she won’t become Kate #2 with her dead eyes and plastic smile.

  27. Hfsni says:

…..except that he literally did the exact same thing with cressida last year…google it….mn has no game apparently

  28. Dee says:

The worst thing about this relationship is that all those delusional tumblr Harry fangirls and xenophobic misogynistic DM commentators have infiltrated this blog 🙁

  29. Audrey says:

I lived in the arctic of Canada. We had so many Japanese tourists! They came to see the lights. Lots of young couples who may have been hoping to conceive. There were special overnight guided tours.

The lights are gorgeous and quite romantic. They make you feel something special.

  30. Rachel says:

Im begining to doubt this relationship. Haven’t seen a single picture of them together!

  31. Della says:

Take it with a grain of salt of course but a co workers boyfriend used to work as a footman at BP and still has friends there, apparently they have spit up.

    • FrostedFlakes says:

      Grain.of.salt

Camilla Tominey broke the story of their dating. I’m waiting for word from Camilla Tominey if they have split up. Everything and everyone else, I will ignore.

The issue is that there is a massive news blackout, so people start imagining things and creating stories to fill the void

  32. Nia says:

Tumblr trolls are definitely fanning the flames of a breakup, claiming the media is just milking the relationship and it’s been over since December. It’s easy to believe if no one has pics of them together.
