Ordinarily, I would take a non-denial/non-confirmation of an engagement very lightly, but this report comes from People Magazine, so I suspect there could be something there. People is reporting that Orlando Bloom and Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr are maybe engaged. Apparently, Miranda showed up in Cannes with a big ring on her finger, and her reps aren’t confirming or denying the engagement rumors. This, as opposed to the last time engagement rumors were swirling, and Miranda’s people had a hissy fit. So, what changed?
There’s something new adorning Miranda Kerr’s left ring finger – and it looks remarkably like an engagement ring, according to photos of the Australian model with her boyfriend, Orlando Bloom.
And while last November Kerr’s rep vehemently denied news reports from Down Under that Kerr was engaged to the Pirates of the Caribbean star, this time there’s no denial. No confirmation, either. Simply, no comment.
“I am aware of the images. However, I am not in a position to comment,” Kerr’s rep, Carlii Lyon, tells PEOPLE. Bloom’s rep has yet to be reached for comment.
What is known: Kerr, 26, did fly into Cannes to be with Bloom, 32, for one night before turning around and going right back to New York for work – prompting some observers to wonder if a proposal took place in the South of France.
After all, also last November, Kerr said. “I’ve always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen.”

Of all of the gay rumors that swirl about so many male and female celebrities, Orlando is one of the few that I tend to believe. For me, it’s really about the total lack of sexuality he seems to have. He comes across like a neutered Ken doll. He has zero chemistry with any of his leading ladies, but perhaps he’s just a horrible actor? Honestly, I’ve never gotten the appeal of either of them. Yes, both have nice bodies and are “attractive” but they just seem epically boring. So, if they are engaged, congratulations to the happy couple. I’m sure they’ll be very…zzzz….

I never got the vibe that Orlando was gay. From what I’ve heard, he’s a runaround kind of guy who has slept with everybody (female, that is). I don’t think he’ll make it to the altar anytime soon, but I could be wrong.

Miranda is adorable, but just another succesful model to me. I’m “eh” on both of them.

I hope it’s true.
I think Miranda Kerr is absolutely adorable and Bloom, while not the best actor in the world, comes across in interviews as very likeable.
Plus, at the very least, they’ll have beautiful children.
