Donald Trump tweets about dossier: ‘Are we living in Nazi Germany?’

As I covered earlier, Buzzfeed dropped a bombshell on the country and the world when they published the full dossier which has apparently been widely circulated for weeks, if not months. The dossier is all about how Russia has been compiling information – blackmail information – on Donald Trump for years. They’ve been cultivating him, allegedly. The dossier was apparently compiled by a British intelligence official, and while there do seem to be some factual errors so far, there’s also some evidence that some of the stories in the dossier are correct. CNN also reported yesterday that President Obama AND President Baby-Fists have both been briefed on the contents of the dossier.

So why am I writing about this mess for the second time? Because Baby Fists threw a massive tantrum on Twitter bright and early this morning. You would have thought that Meryl Streep had talked sh-t about him again.

NO REALLY, ARE WE LIVING IN NAZI GERMANY? I really need to know. I don’t even get how Baby Fists can make that reference – did President Roosevelt have some dirty gossip on Adolf Hitler’s sexual kinks which FDR was using to blackmail Hitler? No? Then how does Trump’s Nazi comparison hold up? Unless Trump’s reference is about the propaganda machine that the Nazis employed. In which case… does he even understand how he was elected? He was the beneficiary of one of the most disgusting propaganda machines in modern history.

Here’s the Kellyanne Conway interview with Seth Meyers last night. Many have asked for more coverage of Conway’s comings and goings, but I just can’t. I force myself to pay attention to President Baby Fists but it’s too depressing to listen to anything this soulless minion of Satan has to say. Seth handled this interview well (even if I could only get through a few minutes of this).

    What a rude comparison!

  2. Kelsey says:

Ummm like he’s smart enough to know whether or not he was being manipulated. I hate his use of ‘very unfair!’ constantly. It reminds me of my four year old daughters friends.

    • Rapunzel says:

Yes, his retorts are grade school. “No puppet, No puppet. You’re the puppet!.”. And his continual whining that the media is “rough” on him is laughable.

      • lucy2 says:

I forgot about “No puppet! No puppet!”. And the “very unfair” does always strike me as a toddler stomping their feet about something silly.

      • SusanneToo says:

“Very unfair,” “A sorry state.” Do ten year olds even speak like this? I doubt it.
Wah, wah, wah, run to mommy(ivanka, I mean).

      • Megan says:

Speaking of childish, can you imagine what kind of a day Barron is having at school? I would die of humiliation if I were in his shoes.

he knew putin was watching, though…

hope this link is ok…I can’t find the original, just the link from Shaun King’s FB page.

      • Rene says:

I sit back at watch this and all the while think you poor people. He is destroying your country bit by bit. This is massive. I don’t know what you are going to do now. Can someone impeach him?

      • Tiffany :) says:

Thanks doofus. I just shared that, more people need to know.

      • Kitten says:

I also shared too. Thank you, Doofus!

    • JudyK says:

Yes, his retorts are childish in vocabulary and repeating them twice, i.e., “very, very,” doesn’t make a more impactful statement.

    • mee says:

just about right – 4 yrs old, his mentality.

all of his tweets are projections of his views of himself and what he’s doing. calling hillary a Liar and Crook. calling the election rigged beforehand. questioning hillary’s character! now he’s decided to let us know how he’s going to run the country – like nazi germany. impeachment can’t happen soon enough

  3. Cdoggy says:

In that bottom picture he looks like Abby Lee Miller, tha dance moms lady

  4. Clare says:

    What the actual F*&*

I agree with Trump, THIS IS NOT FAIR. None of this is fair. How have we ended up with this fiasco on our hands? AAAARRGGGHGHGHGHH

How does this fucktard KEEP GETTING AWAY with telling lies and insisting its the truth, and when faced with the truth, calling it lies. And people believe him? What? How?

    • Embee says:

He can keep getting away with lies digging himself out of other lies because he’s a slick career conman. So many people were naive enough to believe his unbelievable lies that this is what we’re stuck with.

    • lavins says:

….imo because the US Media is in the tank for RATINGS, they wanted ratings instead of real investigative journalism and have never called him on the carpet, for his lies, for his racism, calling ethnic groups names, talking badly about women, the Media basically let him get away with it, during the Primaries and Election, all the while battering Hillary when she said one word Deplorables.

      Fk Mr. Trump Deplorable.

I know the above was mean and I completely, totally and utterly do not care!

    • Annetommy says:

His witchy spin doctor denied Trump knew about this story, with one of his henchmen saying that the first Trump knew about it was when it appeared on the site. Now we hear he was briefed about it last week. Lies upon lies.

Haha, he said “leak.” Whatever, Tinkles the Clown.

  9. Christin says:

So while his defenders appear on 7 AM news shows to non-answer questions, he’s free to meltdown on social media.

    • lavins says:

and the US Media lets him get away with non answering, they have since the Primaries and when he lies, they just go to the next question.
      imo

  10. Marty says:

Once again, siding with Russian intelligence over the U.S.

    • MellyMel says:

      This!

    • JulP says:

Yeah, how does he not get that he’s not helping to prove his case by continually siding with Russia over the U.S. and praising Putin?

    • Nancy says:

Oh Lord that’s what has my head spinning. He is questioning U.S. Intelligence. They are furious and insulted and afraid like the rest of us. The Donald may disappear somehow if he doesn’t stop the shit. I’m sure his Jewish daughter appreciates the Nazi Germany inferences. He truly is America’s nightmare.

      • Rapunzel says:

Nancy- excellent point about the dangers of pissing off (pun intended) the intelligence community. Pee Pee von Orangeface should watch JFK…

      • lucy2 says:

He’s been questioning the US intelligence agencies for some time. When that all started, I saw so many people predict some stuff on him was going to come out. Sure enough! Don’t mess with the CIA, Tinkles.

      • LAK says:

Considering the source ie the CIA, i’m not sure he doesn’t have a point.

The verifiable reputation of the CIA is such that i wouldn’t believe them if they said the sky was blue, evidence or no evidence.

They’ve mastered the art of lying, obsfucating, propaganda, fake news, election tampering, regime change, death squads, assasinations, torture, disappearances, revolutions, civil war and much more in too many countries around the world to list here. And they don’t bother covering their tracks so we have more than 50yrs of evidence of their operations.

They aren’t above doing the same thing to the USA if that is the will of the establishment. I mean WMD in Iraq………

That’s not to suggest that other countries don’t employ similarly sinister organisations, but the CIA are MVP of this sort of propaganda.

I think this sort of smear tactics is what will be used to remove Trump, not anything he has done in office. At which point, hello Pence or Ryan. People the establishment would prefer to work with.

      • Kitten says:

Yeah…I gotta agree with LAK on this. I don’t doubt that there’s more than a small connection between Russia and Trump, but the CIA has such a profound history of corruption and immorality–they’re completely untrustworthy. It’s hard for me to side with them on anything, quite frankly.

And it’s possible this is a set-up by the GOP for sure. I don’t know…all of this is so insane..my head is spinning. It’s like every day there’s so much crazy shit happening with the incoming administration that it’s difficult to keep track of it all.

All I know is that I no longer recognize my country.

      • Rapunzel says:

LAK- I agree about the corruption of the CIA, but it’s not just the CIA involved here. It’s the whole intelligence community.

Additionally, it’s abhorrent for the future leader of a nation to trust a foreign intelligence agency over his own national intelligence. It’s dangerous for our President to just dismiss and insult the intelligence agency that he is essentially boss of, corrupt or not.

      • LAK says:

Rapunzel, for me, any involvement by the CIA renders entire contents suspect. It matters not a jot who or what the report is about. Like i said, if they said the sky was blue, i’d check for myself.

They are MVP of this sort of thing.

Patriot ot not, every citizen in America should be worried that they are empowered, NOT corrupted, to act this way. If only they were just another corrupt organisation. Much easier to deal with.

      • coco says:

But the leaked Buzzfeed report is the dossier that has been circulating around Washington, press etc for months, from before the election. Its not from the CIA or intelligence community, It was from a private security firm (the ex-british intel guy) that was first hired by the Republicans and then the Democrats to get info on Trump.

Trump has ties to Russia that go back to the 80s.

    • Annetommy says:

Putin has said they don’t collect dossiers like that. And if Putin says it, that’s good enough for me. It’s not like he would fib.

    • Christin says:

To echo Tim Kaine’s question this week — why is he (repeatedly) appearing to be Vlad’s defense lawyer?

  11. Rapunzel says:

Unpresident Pissface wants to know if we’re living in Nazi Germany? This pissant dictator wannabe has such a persecution complex.

I seriously think I’m going to stroke out from rage before this dude is out of office. Every day gets worse.

    • Lambda says:

Donald is Vova’s piss boy (as in History of the World).

    • original kay says:

No. The Nazi Germany comment is gaslighting. It’s meant to make people think what happened to him is like Nazi Germany, and not what he is doing to us.

See? The altered perception of reality is forcing people to believe.

People will believe that those who seek the truth are being like the Nazis, and not what he is doing.
      People will believe him.

      • Rapunzel says:

Kay- yep, textbook gaslighting, and the faux persecution is part of that. He’s setting himself up as the martyr. He has this persecution complex cause it suits the narrative.

    • Elle R. says:

I have a politics degree and have spent years talking about the importance of being politically engaged.

I haven’t watched the news and have barely read the news since Nov. 8 to avoid, as you said, a rage stroke. Turns out keeping my sanity and avoiding a heart attack trump (pun not intended) being an informed citizen.

  12. Jenns says:

You know what would help his argument? If the Orange Goblin released his tax returns!

And yes, we have a racist president, an antisemitic chief strategist and a bunch of neo-nazi followers. So we are living in nazi germany.

  13. original kay says:

This is gaslighting. Be very afraid.

It’s almost unstoppable. Though, he is not gaslighting all of us, but enough that it’s doing irreparable damage.

    read: http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/10/opinions/donald-trump-is-gaslighting-america-ghitis/

    • Kelsey says:

Origionalkay, yes this is gaslighting. I’m glad you brought this up, he has so many traits of an abusive individual. The way so many people follow him blindly seriously concern me. As a parent, I feel like making my children watch this solely to point out how someone should NEVER treat you. If you feel this furry and confusion and injustice in a relationship, leave. And if you can’t leave, call me and I will remove you. This is just unbelievable our president acts like this.

    • cindy says:

      Yes yes yes. So true.

    • Christin says:

Thrives on chaos that affects others. Where are our psychiatry experts?

  14. Clare says:

Does it count as winning an election ‘easily’ if you have to lie, cheat and insult your way to victory? Don’t think so?

  15. RussianBlueCat says:

If the whole story about the past election and trump’s win was a television series, people would think ” the writers must be drinking or high to make up this stuff” But unfortunately this is real life and this show will be on for the next four years

  16. Tiffany27 says:

Oh he’s ALL CAPS mad. Good. Now you know how Obama felt due to the birther bs you incited. I know he’s going to be President, but I and I hope others will work hard at making these the worst 4 years of his life. God knows he’s going to try and do that to me and my family so I’m fighting back.

    • lucy2 says:

Except Obama was in the right on that one and was being called into question by racists and bigots, so he had the right to be even more mad (but somehow kept his cool).

  17. Sam says:

The fact that he’s having a melt down on Twitter regarding it all the while Kellyanne Conway was on Seth Meyers saying “Trump was never briefed” just confirms it all in my eyes.

Also The Kremlin claiming they don’t hold comprising information? Laughable.

Funny how Trump and his supporters will tak crap about the Russians but then want us to believe them. Not today Satan. Not today.

  18. Leo says:

For someone who constantly mocks “libertards”, safe spaces and PC, Trump (and his followers) sure is thin-skinned.

  19. Jayna says:

Well, if the shoe fits. He wants to be a dictator.

I refuse to watch a Kellyanne interview. She makes me want to vomit.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

She is thoroughly infuriating. You cannot have any kind of cogent conversation with someone who pivots like that. She is twisting in the wind. I kind of want to slap the smug out of her.

  20. Thaisajs says:

I don’t think it should come as a surprise to anyone that foreign intelligence services have compiled dossiers on top US officials (as we do on them). The notable thing here, to me, is that his past behavior has allegedly opened him up to the legitimate possibility of blackmail, simply because of how he has lived his life. I’m sure Russia compiled something similar on Hillary, but she has lived a (comparably) boring life. (Bill is a totally different matter, obvs.)

Trump has taken a perplexing view on Russia and Putin and has surrounded himself with Russian sympathizers to such an extent that that has confused Democrats and Republicans alike. US intelligence agencies are here to protect our homeland from enemies foreign and domestic. I have no idea if any of the info in this dossier is correct, but it if it is, it would certainly help explain some of Trump’s pro-Putin remarks.

    • Cee says:

I read the dossier and all they allegedlgy have on HRC are phone calls and some conversations they picked up on when she visited Russia.

  21. Pandy says:

Not American but all I can say is get in touch with your elected reps to insist on tax release, nepotism rules etc. My fingers are crossed he’s impeached before he even takes office.

  22. Ramona says:

I know we are talking about the Nazi Germany bs but I have to get this put or I will explode. WHERE DOES HE GET OFF CLAIMING IT WAS AN EASY WIN?! He lost by 3 million votes. He won the electoral college by barely 100,000. My God! I know he is gaslighting me/us. I know I should refuse to be baited but I cant. It drives me crazy when people barefaced lie about something thats so evident. And then his idiot followers repeat it. Somebody needs to produce a graphics presentation of how he scraped through and play it on a jumbotron screen at his press conference.

    • Kitten says:

His followers LOVE his lies because it validates their beliefs and allows them to remain unaccountable for their poor choice in a president.

      It’s mind-blowing.
And the funniest thing is that their response to everything is STILL “But Hillary..”
Then they’ll turn around and tell us “You lost. Get over it” without a hint of irony.

Oh yeah, we’re over it and very soon we’ll be under YOUR president’s (#notmypresident)administration. Nobody should be talking about HRC at this point, the focus should be squarely on Trump, but his supporters have no legitimate counterargument on any of the sheisty shit Trump has been up to so they fallback on “But Hillary..”

I absolutely cannot deal with the sheer idiocy and head-in-the-sand mentality of his supporters.

  23. Jenns says:

Honest question: Is he going to crack? He’s already unstable. And now he is going into a very isolating position, far away from his gold tower in NYC. His wife isn’t coming with him. He has no friends. Everyone is just using him to push their own agenda. He’s not smart enough to understand what the hell is going on. Ivanka and Jared will be around, but they can only do so much as they have their own family. I can’t see how he is going to make it for a year, let alone 4-8. He didn’t even want this job.

    • Shambles says:

I think he cracked long ago. The question now is, when will he shatter?

If this press conference that’s supposed to happen in 10 minutes actually happens, it’s going to be quite the show.

    • robyn says:

I think he did try to throw the election with some truly outrageous comments every now and again but Russia made sure he couldn’t lose. Who knows … maybe Russia’s finagling started during the Primaries. I think Donald was not keen to do the hard work it takes to be president. He wanted Hillary’s situation, popular vote but not getting elected and thereby risking some blackmail item coming out about him if he didn’t do Russia’s bidding.

    • original kay says:

No. He won’t crack or shatter. He loves this.

Please understand, he loves this. Thrives on it. Does it because he absolutely 100% adores this drama. He creates it, on purpose. He knows exactly what he is doing, what reaction he will get, and he loves it.

This is NPD. The more you tell someone what they do hurts, or is wrong, the more they do it ON PURPOSE.

It normalizes him to think he will even stop. He won’t. What he is doing is almost unstoppable, because he is gaslighting everyone as well. He gaslights to create these issues because he loves it and needs it.

And now he has the ultimate audience, the entire world.

      • Jenns says:

See, I don’t think he loves this at all. He loves to be adored. He loves to be around celebs. He loves to be at Trump Tower. He loves to go to Mar Lago on the weekend. He loves hosting Celebrity Apprentice. He loves buildings and golf courses and beauty contestants.

This whole president thing, he doesn’t love. He can’t handle the pressue.

He’s a dumb yam. I don’t think he’s cackling in a dark room, thinking about how he’s gaslighting America. I think he’s in a dark room, watching CNN and refreshing Twitter to see what everyone is saying about him.

What’s scary though, is that this Dumb Yam has people around him who know how to manipulate him and they’re the ones who are pulling the strings.

      • Rapunzel says:

Original Kay- agreed that he loves this. He has no shame.

My theory: He’s doing everything in his power to be awful, hoping his Presidency doesn’t last. Then he can rant for the rest of his life that he was unfairly cheated. Robyn is right that he wanted to “win” but not actually do the job.

He’s in over his head, knows it, but will keep doubling down till he dies.

      • original kay says:

        @Jenns

yours is definitely a more welcoming theory, but I fear it normalizes his behaviours.

But I hope you are right, because at least there is a chance to stop him, if you are.

        I don’t think so though.

I didn’t say he loved the content, only that he thrives on the drama. He seeks it out, perpetuates it. And no, he doesn’t think “gaslight”, that’s not how it works with NPD. It’s hardwired in to do it. The physical response to doing it, knowing it upsets or hurts the other person, that’s the high. That’s what he wants. He gets off on it. It’s a disorder, you can’t find reason in it.

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

        @Jenns,

I agree with you. He is vapid, self- interested, arrogant and BIGLY incurious. He will rely on others while pretending to be self-sufficient in decision making and therein lies the danger- all the sociopathic, highly intelligent CEOs he has chosen to gird himself with are the real decision makers.

      • lucy2 says:

I think he loved it up to a point – where it was all idolization and cheering crowds, he loved it, but when the dirt comes out and the hard work and decisions have to be done, he wants no parts of it.
Just look at the convo his team had with Kasich, basically promising him the VP would do all the actual work and Trump would essentially continue a 4 year campaign rally. But as he’s pushed further into the job, he’s hating it and pushing back. He’s been busy whining about Meryl Streep, FFS, and skipping intelligence briefings.

I agree he’s going to shatter. I just hope it happens before he can do too much damage.

      • Sixer says:

I think, as you say, Kay, he loves the outrage. Pure NPD.

I think laughing at him will genuinely get under his skin though.

    • Embee says:

He’ll definitely crack. Now he sees that not only is his wife not going with him, but no one in the world likes him. Making more enemies evey day with Twitter. He began running for president as a joke. He’ll definitely shatter really soon

    • cindy says:

You are reading my mind Jenns. This is exactly what I’m wondering.

  24. robyn says:

To answer Trump’s question. Yes … you very well could be. Hilter started out as a “good guy” relatable to sections of society with resentments and fears about “others” who could be considered “elites” in some circles. People gave Hilter permission by democratically electing him and then turning a blind eye. This is why citizens must be vigilant now and not turn away from Trump, no matter how tiring it gets.

  25. Green Is Good says:

    Produce your tax returns Baby-Fists!

Seriously, how is Baby-Fists allowed to assume office WITHOUT producing his f@cking tax returns?! How is this aloud to happen?

  26. Louisa says:

I just want the press conference he is supposedly doing this morning to be him constantly being asked : why won’t you release your tax return?
Every time he says or tweets that he has no connection to Russia, I want every response to be : release your tax return and prove it.
Why is he getting away with not releasing it??

  27. Cee says:

Calm down, love, the dossier is about all the info they have on you in order to manipulate you when the times comes or they need to. It says nothing regarding past or present manipulations.

    Can he even read?

  28. julie says:

I’ll give him one thing: I do believe that he has “no nothing” (i.e., something) to do with Russia.

  29. S says:

Yes, because the biggest problem with the Third Reich was too many unflattering news stories about Der Fuhrer.

  30. Tiffany27 says:

Can you imagine how foaming at the mouth pissed off (get it? Lol) people would be if this was happening with Hillary? Republicans would be convincing us all to buy guns and go to the inauguration.

  31. DogMom says:

Simple question: where did Kelly Anne Conway come from? Does anyone know her background?

I would google it but the potential results scare me.

    • lucy2 says:

      Hades?

    • pleaseicu says:

Before selling her soul to the orange cheeto, she used to professionally rail against the evils of the orange cheeto on Ted Cruz’s behalf during the GOP primaries and basically spent six months saying everything that HRC and democrats and moderate republicans said about him all through the general election cycle–he’s ignorant, uninformed, dangerous, compromised, a professional con man, has ties to Russia, not a Republican, he hates women, what is he hiding, etc. As to what she did and where did she come from prior to the GOP primaries? No clue. I like the Hades suggestion. lol

      • Lightpurple says:

Given that some of Trump’s primary opponents hired the investigator initially, Kellyanne herself may be the one responsible for the dossier.

  32. naomipaige says:

Can’t expect any less from this poor excuse for a human being.

  33. Fa says:

Haha typical orange he loves to say “very unfair”

  34. Shambles says:

Press conference is supposed to be happening now. You can watch it live through CNN if you can stomach it.

I hope the press does their jobs.

Also: During the last press conference he had, he openly called on Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Update: he’s 12 minutes late. I’m still not convinced he’s going to show up.

He’s here. His press secretary has called the Buzzfeed report “outrageous and irresponsible” right off the bat. It’s a “Sad attempt to get clicks,” now. This guy is pretty inarticulate for a press secretary.

    Mike Pence has scary eyes.

    • Shambles says:

They’re cutting away to Trump and you can literally see him having to make himself pay attention to what Mike Pence is saying. He can’t stand still. Let’s see how many times he sniffs.

Trump is speaking now, and just accused the intelligence agencies of releasing the dossier. This is NUTS.

“Fake news, phony stuff, didn’t happen.” The dossier was put together by “sick people,” and should never have “entered paper.”

Now, it’s the DNC’s fault it was hacked. It was “open” to hacking. Probably because it was wearing a really short skirt.

      • pleaseicu says:

Does he honestly think going after the US intelligence community is a fight he’s going to win? The NSA, CIA, FBI, etc–they’ll all bring him down from within before they let him make fools of them or destroy them and the country for Russia. How ironic if the orange cheeto is what finally unites all of the various US intelligence communities on the same side.

      • Shambles says:

        Wrong spot, sorry!

      • SusanneToo says:

        @Shambles And it’s a “great” business. D1ckhead just can’t help himself.

      • SusanneToo says:

I hope the press gets busy exposing all the lies they’re spouting at this crapfest.

      • Lightpurple says:

The dossier is public record. While some public records can’t be released for security purposes, they eventually all become available to the public.

Wait until his annual physical and his prescription list is released.

    • Sixer says:

It’s even live on the BBC here. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIS NOSTRILS? He looks really, really, really weird.

      • Shambles says:

The way he looks scares the hell out of me, Sixer. He makes the case for reptile humanoids.

He keeps saying “movement,” lol. LightPurple will be pleased. In reality, though, the fact that he keeps saying movement is unsettling. Cult of personality.

      • Rapunzel says:

He’s doubling down, and repeating himself like Rainman.

Now he’s blaming Dems for the hack. It’s the old “you were asking for it defense.”

And can this mofo stop using Hillary to deflect?

      • Sixer says:

I can’t take my eyes off his nose. He looks like he’s sniffed way too much of something illegal that is usually white but his is the colour of soot! Or is that his evil soul gradually seeping out as we watch?

He is actually just riffing this, isn’t he? Oh my dear lord.

      • SusanneToo says:

@Rapunzel Yep, the old “She was wearing a short skirt so she was begging me to assault her with my d1ck.”

      • Sixer says:

        Well, that was completely insane.

The BBC is completely flummoxed as to what to say about it. The pundits are just sitting there gobsmacked.

      • Lightpurple says:

@Shambles, well, we know he has gold toilets in Trump Tower, leather ones on his plane, thinks Hillary’s use of a ladies room was “disgusting”, enjoys golden showers, and repeatedly talks about his “movements.” He is clearly stuck in the anal stage and Freud would have a field day with him.

      • Shambles says:

Sixer, I wish I could see their faces. That was coo coo crazy nutballs.

      • Kitten says:

LOL…^^I love this string of comments that oscillate between humor and terror. I’m laughing one second and gasping the next.
Guess I should get used to that for the next four years huh?

ETA: But seriously, thanks for cracking me up, guys. I needed that.

      • Sixer says:

Honestly, Kitten. You’re right. It’s humour and terror. I thought we were completely buggered here in Britland. But that was something else. The incoming President is in open warfare with the deep state of his own country. He, with his buffoon persona, is grimly funny. The press conference was more than terrifying. Sorry. I’ll think of another joke in a minute!

      • Kitten says:

Exactly, Sixer. If this was satire and not reality, it would be hilarious. But it’s very, very real.

Also terrifying are his supporters. Yikes.

    • SusanneToo says:

Doing the conway deflection waltz – confidential, can’t talk about it.

      • Shambles says:

As we speak, as we speak.

He’s in the middle of deflecting the sh!t out of a question about how revelations of Russian interference will color his relationship with Russia.

He’s referring to himself in the third person already. There will be smoke coming out of his ears soon.

Aaaaand we have a “But Hillary!” Shots for everyone.

He outright stated that he thinks he could run his businesses and run the country. His attorney just said, “The conflict of interest laws simply do not apply to the President.” They’re framing him untangling himself from his business interests as him doing us a favor.

And he was bullying a reporter who asked about his tax returns.

      • SusanneToo says:

Good to know that reporters are the only people who care about his tax returns. I can stop worrying now.

      • Shambles says:

Yep, we might think we care, but we don’t actually care. Silly us.

I think his lawyer has said more words than he did already.

      • SusanneToo says:

I’m off to the midday showing of Fences. Looking forward to everyone’s incisive comments in a few hours.

      • Rapunzel says:

Shambles, how did he bully the reporter?

      • Shambles says:

Rapunzel, he was just generally talking over her, being condescending, and said, “Well the only people that care about the tax returns are the reporters, no one else does.”

Just now, after another reporter asked him a stream of very valid questions, he said sarcastically, “You have any more?” He’s not hiding his distaste for the media.

    • Shambles says:

Lol, his lawyer is basically listing all the reasons that there’s no way for him to truly separate from his businesses. Basically, he never should have run for president in the first place because there is no way for him to govern ethically.

And now the emoluments clause doesn’t really mean what we think it means.

We have a “Gyyyna,” folks! More shots.

And now, he basically admitted that he only used to say Mexico would pay for The Wall because it made people scream at rallies.

      • Rapunzel says:

Shambles- did I hear him correctly on Mexico? It sounded like he said they would reimburse for the wall via tax or payment, but less likely payment? Was he admitting Mexico isn’t going to pay?

God I can’t stand this guy. Flipping back and forth cause his voice gives me hives.

      • Shambles says:

He’s admitted they won’t pay for it. They’ll “pay us back” somehow, which is a delusion.

      • Lightpurple says:

The important question is what does the emoluments clause mean to Chief Justice John Roberts?

    • Shambles says:

He deflected a question about what he meant when he invoked “Nazi Germany” on Twitter this morning. Didn’t answer it at all.

He just finished an openly hostile exchange with a reporter. Spoke over him, called him “rude” and “fake news,” attacked his news organization, and refused to let him ask a question.

Now “some of the news outlets” at the press conference are fake news.

And it’s over. That was less than an hour after he started speaking, and his lawyer spoke more than he did. CNN is fact-checking him right now, at least. I need to go do some yoga before I have an aneurism.

      • Rapunzel says:

Shambles- I think that fake news reporter was from Buzzfeed?

Correction: It was CNN. Trump might be wise not to piss them off.

      • Shambles says:

Yeah, I’m seeing this right now too, Rapunzel. He got into a verbal altercation with a CNN reporter.

Also, Rick Santorum is a POS.

  35. Kiki says:

I thought George W. Bush is the worse president…. Well GWB is now off the hook because Prez Donald Trump is going to be the WORST PRESIDENT IN THE UNITED STATES IN AMERICA, and the trump supporters put him there. Oh the fun begins….

  36. anniefannie says:

Loved, loved, loved Seth Meyers slow clap when Conway tried to pivot from wether Trump was
“curious” as to the Russians involvement in our elections. He eclipsed most journalists attempts to nail her down.

  37. SusanneToo says:

trump’s blathering on now to keep from taking questions.

  38. SusanneToo says:

He has no debt and no loans. JFC. What a lying a$$hole.

  39. SusanneToo says:

This thing is turning into a total sh1tshow. Rubbing my hands with glee. Love it.

    • Rapunzel says:

Shambles, what did he do to the reporter? I can’t stomach this and I’m flipping back and forth.

I caught his lawyer comparing him to Rockefeller. Barf.

      Edit: Wrong spot. Sorry.

    • HK9 says:

It is. I decided to turn it on briefly during my lunch hour and I only lasted about 10 minutes, it’s not good. If they replaced his audio with the Charlie Brown wha wa wa waaaa waa ‘adult’ sounds it would have been better.

    • Kitten says:

His supporters loved every second of it. I’m seeing the comments on social media and they think he “killed it”. OMG please hold me, you guys.

      • lyla says:

if they’re talking about America or American democracy or even common decency…yeah he killed it already. RIP to America, democracy, and common decency.

  40. AfricanBoy says:

Is anyone watching the news conference? Donald got really angry when the journalist mentioned his tax returns.

  41. Helena (original) says:

I am listening to the press conference and I don’t know…this is very bad. All I feel is sadness.

  42. OriginallyBlue says:

Well if Russia says it’s not true then I guess we can all go home. Jesus have mercy, this is ridiculous.

  43. BJ says:

    I watched the press conference.SMH
    I am scared.Trump is dangerous.
I just got on my knees to say a prayer for this country.

  44. Xtrology says:

I was reading an article last night about the people who aid and abet narcissists. They call them “flying monkeys” and Kellyanne Conway was specifically named. I couldn’t stop laughing. Is this a real term that psychologists use?

  45. dorothy says:

please oh please make this a trump free zone how wonderful would that be

  46. holly says:

ARGH! An unfurtunate scroll down comparison there with two men wearing suits with red ties. Idris, any colour but that.

  47. Elle R. says:

The one thought that keeps me sane through all of this is that Mr. Thin Skinned Ego Maniac is going to be the laughingstock of history.

    It’s a microscopic silver lining.

  48. Monsi says:

This is very sad…. I still can’t believe how someone so incredibly unqualified to do the job got elected…
And the way he treated that CNN reporter, any dictator from a 3rd world country (like my own) would be proud

It’s a bit ironic, in the 70s the US supported and financed many dictatorships in Latin America that resulted in the death, torture, disappearnce and exile of thousend of people, now us citizens will experience a dictatorship by first hand.. Because Russia intervened in the election.
I hope this resolves peacefully for everyone, because Trump could cause a worldwide catastrophy

  49. Marisa says:

I still can’t believe that this petulant, narcissistic, orange piece of shit is our President-Elect…the PEE-OTUS. I can’t listen to him or Kelly Anne Condor even attempt to talk. That “press conference” was disgusting. He’s a disgrace.

  50. Anare says:

Dear poor Donald Trump. You’re right, this is so unfair. You’re being mistreated already! You know what would really serve these terrible people right? If you were to quit, right now. Just tell these awful Americans to shove it. They won’t have Donald Trump to kick around any more. Yeah. That’s what you should do. Just walk out. 😁

  51. jwoolman says:

Yeah, when I think of Nazi Germany, the first thing that leaps to mind is all those leaks.

Donald Trump – God’s gift to late night comedians.
