Bella Hadid got two tiny little wings tattooed on her ankles: super-cute or meh?

I do feel sorry for Bella Hadid, you guys. I think I feel sympathy for Bella because she was just a teenager when she started up with The Weeknd/Abel and he was probably her first big relationship and her most “adult” relationship. Bella allegedly broke up with him but she might have believed that they would eventually get back together, which happened before. But then The Weeknd went and started seeing Selena Gomez. And now Bella reportedly feels like Selena “did her dirty.”

So these are some photos of Bella out and about in New York over the past few days. She’s been getting pap’d a lot, and it definitely feels like she’s strutting around and using the sidewalk as a catwalk for her cute outfits and bangin’ body. I like this strategy, to be very visible during a weird or bad gossip-moment. It shows that Bella is trying to control her own narrative. It also shows you that she wants you to look at her, and she wants The Weeknd to see what he’s missing.

And here’s a new breakup trend: the breakup tattoo? Maybe. Bella went famous New York tattoo artist JonBoy for two tiny new tattoos, both of little wings, one wing on each ankle. I don’t have any tattoos, mostly because I can’t think of anything really cool that I would want on my body forever, but I wouldn’t mind having one or two tiny little tattoos like these.

Bella is somebody I can’t take seriously.

Cute tattoos and holy bangin body

    … I just don’t think she’s pretty.

Gosh, I think she is old-school stunning. I find her much less generic than Gigi. Normally I find these kinds of tattoos a little trite, but the tiny scale and location makes them work imo.

    • lana86 says:

before the nose job she was plainish, – now she looks a bit like a manneqen – beautifull but something is off

      • Aminah says:

        Total uncanny valley.

Unrelated note: I can also see her morphing into looking a lot like Melania Trump in the future from these photos.

  4. minx says:

EVeything about her is meh IMO.

  5. LadyT says:

36% of US 18-25 y/o have at least one tattoo. Very popular but I do wonder about regrets. Hers at least are sweet and tiny.

  6. Jegede says:

All that surgery to look like a knock off Jennifer Lawrence and still meh.

  7. Clare says:

Weren’t angel wing tattoos a thing in the 90’s?! Wow we truly HAVE come full circle, huh?

I love those! Do tattoos that small age well though? I really want one really tiny but I’m afraid of how it would look long term. (I have several tattoos in much larger sizes, so I’m not stranger to ink, haha, I’m just curious about something that tiny)

    • detritus says:

I think new ink is better, but it will still bleed a bit.
I lost touch with my friend who did tattoos though, so my info might be out of date?

I’d really like one of the white tattoos, that only show in black light.

    • Erinn says:

It mainly depends on how intricate and how close together the lines are. I have “It’s just a minor thing” tattooed on the side of my forearm – and it’s bled/faded a little bit. It’s pretty small though, and it’s definitely still readable – just not crisp like it used to be. I’d imagine hers will have the same kind of issues mine does. Large, simple shapes are going to fare a lot better than tiny, intricate ones.

I’d wait a while on the white tattoos. There still seems to be issues with the color changing a bit over time. Last I checked, anyway.

      • detritus says:

Haha, I’m a giant wuss with not a lot of disposable income at the moment, so waiting is a sure thing. Good ink costs so much =(
I’ve heard there was noise about toxicity issues too, and i would not be down for yellowed ink for example.

How did you find forearm for position? It seems like it would weather weight gain and loss pretty well, but might hurt depending on location.

Honestly, what is with the pity party for Bella? She broke up with her boyfriend, and now he’s hooking up with someone else a couple months later. Of course I’m sure it hurts to see your ex move on if you haven’t, but she broke up with him! What did she want him to do? She’s getting way more press than she should over something so uncontroversial.

    • ash says:

i thought the weeknd broke up with her over claims that he wanted to focus on making or promoting the new album and touring and the distance…. she absolutely adored him I feel, just in the interviews ive read

  10. Mar says:

Why feel bad? She is just fine.

  11. Clara says:

I love her teeny tattoos but I can’t help feeling like the wing should have been the other way around. With the feathers pointing to her heels not her toes.

  12. African Sun says:

I need those blue sunglasses right now. Any idea on who the brand is?

  13. mrspanda says:

I wonder if she got those because she’s just done a Victoria’s secret show? if so, how shallow and akin to getting a Mcdonalds or Pizza hutt tattoo (yes people actually get those, in return for publicity/free burgers etc! If they represent more than VS wings, then I think they’re quite cute and I’ve always liked tiny tattoos!

  14. Bread and Circuses says:

I would have gotten the wings facing the other way, like Hermes or Mercury, but those are cute too.
