Here are some photos of Tom Hiddleston in Milan yesterday. We’re in the midst of Milan Fashion Week, and if you recall, Tommy Piddles is the current face of Gucci menswear. Remember those terrible print ads? Yeah, well I guess Tom is contractually obligated to show up at some Gucci runway shows too, because he was seated front row at yesterday’s Gucci show. He even sat beside Salma Hayek. Vogue’s coverage of Tom’s appearance was gloriously passive-aggressive too – this is how they ended their coverage: “Hiddleston’s latest look may even be good enough to make the world forget that regrettable ‘I Heart T.S.” shirt.’” Ouch. Tom did look nice in his three-piece Gucci pinstripe suit, although I’m kind of over seeing him in three-piece suits. At some point, the vest just becomes too fussy on him.
I kept waiting to hear Tom Hiddleston’s name called as one this year’s Oscar presenters, but it still hasn’t happened and I don’t think it’s going to happen. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if he does turn up in LA for the Oscar parties, specifically the Vanity Fair Oscar party. That should be fun. It will be even more fun if Taylor Swift comes out of hiding for the VF Oscar party, which she attends most years. Maybe there will be drama! I have my fingers crossed.
What else? Tom apparently did an interview with The Inquirer where he talked about how he’s had some time off recently after working back-to-back on projects. He says he’s been in London for the “last four months” and “It’s nothing major. I’m just having a breather.” He says he’s been spending time with “my family and friends. I have been reading a lot. There is virtually no anxiety that can’t be cured by an hour or two of good reading. And I have just been doing my things and bits around the house. I’ve been away for a long time for about three or four years. Catching up with my good friends and my family has been really nice.” He also made an allusion to politics: “This point in history is destabilizing for lots of us because it’s difficult to truly determine what is true and what isn’t. But inside the ambiguity, we have to be kind to each other as we move forward.” And that’s as political as he gets these days.

Its a tense smile a bit desperate maybe. Poor dude, he’s obviously nice enough but too ambitious for his own good given that he’s so hypersensitive.
I think Kanye said neither he nor Kim like to smile in photos because it’s “not cool.” He used to grin a lot when he was with Amber Rose.
We are serving Italian fare today for Milan. And I am in a much better mood.
The suit was impeccably fitted and he looked good. He went to the after-party too wearing other casual Gucci stuff but the suit looked best.
And why no mention of Jared Leto? Or did you not recognize him in his Gucci panhandler unwashed ensemble?

Yes, when I saw that I thought hypocrite too. Actually most normal people have put that tee-shirt episode behind them (it is over 6 months ago and the whole caboodle only lasted a matter of weeks. GET OVER IT). It wasn’t on a level with child exploitation/sexual abuse/ and other such abominations, just a bit of holiday fever idiocy.
And for the record I thought, as ever, that he looked great in the suit, can’t see for the life of me what is wrong with his expression at all, and the after party get up was a lot better than a lot of stuff others get seen in regularly. But then I wasn’t looking with the sole intention of finding fault.

That’s right @Becky – the current theory is that she is hiding out somewhere in England for most of the past 3 months (they finally realized that it would be really hard for her to hide out in his house- which was the original theory), having got there by a chartered jet (since her own two jets can be tracked, this is the only way to keep things terribly terribly secret!). Meanwhile TH has been puttering around London, working on the UNICEF documentary, reading books, getting vast amounts of coffee, riding the tube and buses and bicycles, taking long walks, going to the theatre (alone) and just generally acting as he always does – but this is to throw us all OFF! HS 2.0 will be revealed (someday – just you wait LOL)

So making them out to be a bunch of crazies is not portraying the truth. They are just having a bit of fun and not nearly as invested as those who don’t want them together.

Oscars always announce their presenters unless it’s a very very special guest (Old Hollywood level). He doesn’t qualify.
That said, from past experience there should be at least one more group of presenters announced so he might still be in. I’d be a bit surprised if he’s not since that’s prime Kong promo. Then again, Brie Larson is already there.
Other than Brie, have any other Marvel actors been named as presenters? ABC broadcasts the Oscars and The House of the Mouse uses it to promote Marvel products, which is why CHemboy and Evans usually show up. Marvel has three films due out this year: GOTG, Spider-Man, and Thor so any representatives from those are possible. Of course, the Mouse also has a Pirates movie to promote too.
There’s less overt Disney promo than in the past. I think Chris Evans is presenting but I think that’s for that other movie he has coming out soon?…about the kid?…the movie no one cares about because he’s not playing Captain America?…Sorry, but it’s true! Also Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett but they’re also promoting non-Marvel movies in March. Two Rogue One stars so far, so maybe more Star Wars stars to come? Javier Bardem is in Pirates of the Carribean 900 so that makes sense (and no Johnny Depp 😏).

Might be his posh background – he would have worn a suit all the time as a uniform when he was at school.
Brie Larson will already be at the Oscars, making Hiddleston as a presenter kind of unneccessary, so I would have been surprised if his name was actually called as a part of the telecast. I think it was part of the Gucci contract. That sweater is LOUD. Several of them were wearing similar pieces. As I said elsewhere, mercifully, he didn’t get the matching leggings. Jared Leto had those on.

@mridha – please look at any comments of that nature with a very critical eye. Hiddleston has a “fan” that enjoys spreading horrible rumors about him and uses any online outlet they can find to do it. The person is prolific and relentless. A favorite rumor of theirs is that one of his parents has a terminal illness – which one exactly seems to change with the seasons. There may be things going on in TH’s life that are difficult or even tragic – just like all of us – but I sincerely doubt that some random person on an internet comment board knows anything about them.
That is sick and disgusting.
Looking at all the Kong trailers and I think Mr. Hiddles may have a blockbuster movie. 🙂
